i've mentioned how i stared podcasting way back (2006) before it was the cool thing to do and not many really understood what i was doing -- but it wasn't as easy as it is now to listen...so there's that.

here is one podcast interview that i recorded in 2008 with a author/novelist evie rhodes.

im sharing this one because back then, when i interviewed evie, i LOVED the book (and im not even a book lover like that) but something about it deeply resonated with me -- and back then -- i had not yet gone through what some call a "spiritual awakening" -- and now that i listen to the interview again -- it definitely hits different -- and deeper.

1) having these talks and NOT to get into a “race” debate with folk, but to talk about things we dont “teach” when pushing kids to get into college and get a “good” job. [side note: unless you know my background, dont challenge me about how race matters -- i been there done that -- and way deeper than most know]

as i mentioned over on ig, i am not an affiliate for gumroad, im only sharing because i hate seeing people get stuck -- and although many of these platforms have great tutorials, it sometimes helps to hear the “how to” delivered in a different way.

overview: i went with gumroad because i needed an all-in-one solution. i was more interested in streamlining processes and less concerned about aesthetics.  ** for example -- there are some features i really wanted were pay-what-you-can, a blog, memberships, physical/digital products, and a simple email drip campaign option. i also didn't want to have to deal with additional hosting, etc.

here in part 1, i first answer questions i received and then talk about:

1. pros and cons
2. their app
3. adding products 

i will be doing a video tutorial and posting on gtf (gateway to freedom), so if you’d like to watch a step-by-step, hit the “watch out!” link at https://linktr.ee/courtneycrosslin for access. these tutorials will go in depth about what workflows, etc. are and how i use them to save myself time and move a customer through a “sales cycle.”

note: regarding the question about sending receipts -- “While an invoice is a request for payment, a receipt is the proof of payment.”

if for some reason someone makes a purchase from me and for whatever reason can not purchase directly through gumroad, i will 1) send them my short paypal link or 2) create and invoice and send to them.

with gumroad, you can also send a direct link to a product as a “request” for payment. this is helpful if you want to keep all of your transactions in one place.
