Fridays are made for a social catch up!  This week was jammed packed with all kinds of drama and we had our popcorn and opinions ready for all of it. Here's the lineup:

Serena at the US Open:

• This is supposably the retirement tour for Serena and the Arthur Ashe Stadium is pulling out all the stops for the tennis icon.  We are tuned in for all of it. 

We need a new word for salty when referring to this episode.  Wow! We are coming in hot and we make no apologies.  Lots to cover and we jump around a ton.  From tampons to Southern charm, to rebranding Hailey Bieber's new skincare line. We are truly solving all of the world's problems. (Hint: Don't sleep on Venmo scroll.)  We talked about some much nonsense that we didn't even get a chance to cover anything about the Kardashians.  You are welcome.  Enjoy the ride and borderline verbal fireworks.

I between carpools we pop in to see what the hot goss is all about.  It was kind of a slow news week so here are our hot takes on the headlines that peaked our interest the most. 

Was anyone else surprised that the MTV movie awards popped up on your feed this week?  Who knew this cooky award show was even still a thing? We give our take on why MTV is bringing back this ancient award show.

After a little life hiccup we are back this week to fill you in on all of the drama from the past two weeks.  A lot has happened in the legal world and we do our best to break it down but we probably should have brushed up on our Law and Order before recording.  Here we go!

You would normally think the weirdest thing about today's podcast would be the latest antics from the Kardashians.  Today, their weirdness takes a back seat as Shannon dives into the growing pains of her daughter starting her period and new things to try out instead of a tampon.  Of course we touch on the latest drama from the K family and their new Hulu show about to drop.  Also, Kelly Clarkson is no longer Kelly Clarkson. -Former Miss America, Chelsie Kryst, dies after jumping to her death from a NYC building earlier this week.  We discuss the legacy she left behind and how the pageant world is effected from the passing of this well known beauty queen.

-Minnie changed into a suit and everyone had an opinion about it. As a tribute to Disney Land Paris' 30th anniversary, Disney partnered with Stella McCartney to help bring a fresh look to our favorite lady mouse. Not everyone feels this was the best move.  We unpack some of the criticism said about Minnie Mouse's new look.

-Brené Brown decided to take a pause from podcasting after dedicating some time to learn more about the Spotify misinformation guidelines.  She received major heat for this decision.  We discuss her stance and latest statement.  

Whoopie Goldberg is suspended after making insensitive remarks about the Holocaust.

We love a good a theme just as much as a four letter word at CZL, and this week we are giving ,lots of both. We shifted through all of the sh*t of the news headlines to give you just the meat and potatoes of what you need to know. And, we are not just talking about Brittany's toilet troubles.

This week has been quite a doozy! Let's catch up, shall we? We are beyond excited that MGK popped the question to Megan Fox last week but some recent details about the engagement ring have us questioning this eccentric couple even more. It wouldn't be a social catch up without mentioning Ye (formally known as Kanye West) and Kim Kardashian.  Between the awkward photo shoot with Julia Fox to the twitter rant about a child's birthday party, Kanye gave us tons of content.  Did this push Kim further into Pete's arms? Are Kanye's actions a ploy to control Kim even post divorce?  And, if that wasn't enough, Jamie Lynn goes on a press tour spilling all the deets of her upcoming book and Britney is not happy. Can these famous sisters mend this family feud? We discuss is all!

• After Lizzo's latest release, the trolls came out hard for her and it was personal. Lizzo takes to YouTube is an emotional video, that has now been deleted, to shred some light on what she deals with behind the scenes.  
• Ashton Kutcher and Mila Kunis share on a well known podcast that they wait to smell their kids BEFORE giving them a bath.  This led to other celebrities sharing their bathing habits.  Is this a trend we all should consider?
• Tiktok's latest trend is the Bama Rush posts and we cannot get enough.  This, of course, had the internet spiraling and doing a deep dive on the greek life in the southern states and why it is so important to the SEC colleges.
