End of Season One: The Most Popular Episodes So Far

End of Season One: The Most Popular Episodes So Far

Welcome to another episode of Creating Change with Emma Bradford!

EPISODE 55: During this episode, I reflect on my podcast journey so far as we wrap up season one. Hear me talk about the most listened to episodes, favourite topics I’ve recorded and potential changes for the podcast to make the podcast sustainable. I also share why I am taking a break before starting season two and my plans for the future of this podcast.

Favorite Episodes to Record

[02:53] One of my favourite episodes was the Q&A Session. I love receiving your questions and exploring topics suggested by you as they broaden the podcast.

[05:08] I also enjoyed recording the Expansions Messages, where I channel messages that I receive during my personal practice. The episode on overcoming perfectionism and the metaphor of the rose is particularly impactful.

Most Popular Episodes

[07:30] One of the most listened to episodes is when we feel like giving up using a simple metaphor of music to help you come back to the life within.

[09:03] Another episode is the insights gained from my experience as an NLP coach and episodes about my background.

Message of Gratitude & Plan for Season 2

[10:20] Thank you for listening to this incredible podcast and for your feedback. You have been an invaluable part of this journey.

[11:12] Suggested changes to introduce interviews and a subscription model for future episodes to make the podcast sustainable. I've been funding the podcast myself and hope to make it self-supporting in the future.

[12:31] I'll be taking a break before we kick off season two in the spring to reflect on the direction of the podcast and make informed decisions about its future. I believe in the importance of taking moments to pause, reflect, and grow inwardly in a society that often prioritizes constant productivity.

Key Takeaways

  • When we feel like giving up, when we feel like everything is too much, the metaphor of the music can help us come back to the life within.
  • If we want to create balance between the masculine and feminine energies, we need to have those moments of pause & reflection too.

How I Learnt To Trust Men Again After Trauma

How I Learnt To Trust Men Again After Trauma

Welcome to another episode of Creating Change with Emma Bradford!     EPISODE 54: During this episode, you’ll learn about my deeply personal journey of healing and learning to trust men again after an abusive relationship. This journey has been filled with self-discovery, healing, and growth. I hope that by sharing my experiences, I can inspire and help others who may be going through similar situations to seek help, trust again, and create meaningful relationships.

Trauma

[01:45] My experience in an emotionally and psychologically abusive relationship years ago and how it felt like a death experience.

[02:40] Healing from trauma, betrayal, and feeling completely unsafe around men.

Seeking Professional Help

[04:00] Seeking help from various professionals, including shamanic healers, hypnotherapists, somatic coaches, and NLP trainers, to help me uncover the root causes of my fears and work on feeling safe within myself.

[05:06] Finding solace and healing in 5 Rhythms dance classes and workshops, which played a significant role in my healing process.

Lessons

[06:23] Listening to my Intuition and setting boundaries with one of the most breakthrough moments is when I was able to receive a massage from two male therapists, something I wouldn't have been able to do in the past.

[11:00] Finding a balance between my masculine and feminine energies. The journey is not about being against men but about understanding and healing.

[12:09] Looking beyond words and actions in relationships and understanding the underlying intentions and needs of both myself and others

The Transformative Power of Trauma

[14:59] Fear is not a bad thing. It’s a natural response that serves as a protective instinct.

[16:13] Having gone through the trauma has deepened my understanding of my clients and their struggles, and I can help them wake up to the magic of life, too.

Key Takeaways

  • It’s not about being the victim. It’s about learning to really trust ourselves and listen to our intuition.
  • Often, there's a tendency to think that, as women, we need only to be feminine and that we can't be masculine, but building up my masculine energy in a healthy way has been incredibly healing. It is about the two together.
  • Fear is not a bad thing. Fear can be healthy and can help protect us. When fear is in flow, that's our intuition sensing that something doesn't quite feel right; pay attention to that and take action.

Your Biggest Lesson to Learn According to Your Core Energy Number

Your Biggest Lesson to Learn According to Your Core Energy Number

Welcome to another episode of Creating Change with Emma Bradford!

EPISODE 53: During this episode, you’ll learn about the sacred science of numbers. Everyone holds a core energy number. How do you calculate your core number, and what does it mean? In this episode, I dive into the meaning of different core numbers, the strengths and weaknesses of each, and the biggest lessons that each type needs to learn in life.

The Sacred Science of Numbers

[01:09] Everybody has a number in life from 1 – 9 (unless if a master number), which shows the core energy you hold. Your strengths, weaknesses, and greatest lessons you are here to learn.

[01:57] To uncover your core-essence number, you need to add your date of birth… day, month and year together, then keep reducing them to a single digit unless it is a master number.

The Independent Leader, Peace Maker & Creative

[05:26] Number 1 represents the independent leader. They are natural-born leaders with great leadership skills and self-motivation. However, one of their greatest weaknesses is a desire for control and impatience. They have to believe in themselves and lead the way forward.

[07:30] Number 2 is the peacemaker who always aims to bring harmony but tends to be hypersensitive and indecisive. Number 2’s biggest lesson is to let go of people-pleasing.

[09:00] Number 3 is creative and a great communicator though when out of balance also critical and unreliable. Their biggest lesson is to find out their truth and express it.

Society Builders, Freedom Seekers & Responsible Caregiver

[10:06] Number 4’s are practical, grounded society builders, but also inflexible, stubborn, and narrow-minded when not in alignment. They need to open up their mindset and see the bigger picture.

[11:24] Number 5 represents resourceful and charismatic freedom seekers. However, their biggest weakness is recklessness and unpredictable behavior. They need to learn that freedom comes from within.

[12:20] Number 6 main strength is love and compassion, with a weakness in being bossy and interfering at time. They tend to over give and are here to learn about balance.

Truth Seekers, Business-Minded Leaders & the Humanitarian

[13:10] Number 7’s are the truth seekers. They are intelligent with a deeper spiritual connection though on the downside can be skeptical, introverted and pessimistic when out of alignment.

[14:35] Number 8 represents the business-minded leader. They are very entrepreneurial, though when out of balance can be manipulative and materialistic.

[16:06] Number 9 represents the humanitarian. They are growth-minded and global thinkers, though have a tendency to be at times defensive and revengeful when not in alignment.

Key Takeaways

  • The deepest peace and the most fulfilling peace is when you are at peace within yourself.
  • Self-expression is one of the most essential things for health and happiness.
  • Freedom comes from within.

Why Ignoring Negative Self-Talk Isn’t The Answer… & What To Do Instead

Why Ignoring Negative Self-Talk Isn’t The Answer… & What To Do Instead

Welcome to another episode of Creating Change with Emma Bradford!

EPISODE 52: During this episode, you’ll learn why ignoring your inner critic isn’t the answer.  The inner critic, that negative self-talk is the part of us that likes to judge and blame ourselves. What’s the best way to acknowledge it, learn from it, and step out of it? In the session, I delve into the impact of negative self-talk, how our inner child reflects our inner critic and tips to move away from negative self-criticism.

NOTE: This episode includes a live recording which may contain some background sounds.

Negative Self Talk

[02:50] Sometimes, you may believe you’re not worthy or deserving, which is what negative self-talk focuses on… the lack and limited perspective of yourself.

[05:28] With negative self-talk, you focus on the story, believe it, and live according to it, forgetting you can rewrite it.

How Your Inner Critic Reflects Your Inner Child

[05:50] The inner critic brings to your awareness limiting beliefs you picked up in your childhood. Essentially, you repeat your childhood beliefs or what you heard someone else say to you.

[10:44] Acknowledge the inner critic as a teacher. It’s simply the inner child wanting to communicate something from the past.

Tips to Move Away from Negative Self-Criticism

[12:05] Ask yourself, “What’s really true?” Is it really true what you think about yourself?

[13:02] Embrace the de-identification pattern. Ask yourself, “Aren’t I more than that?” You are far greater than any negative self-talk.

Key Takeaways

●      The inner critic is the inner child bringing your attention to your limiting beliefs, fears, and emotions. When you ignore the inner critic, you ignore the inner child. You can find more information when you pay attention.

●      Often, how you criticise yourself is similar to how your parents criticised you, and how you praise yourself is similar to how your parents praised you.

●      Sometimes, the focus can be limited, and you are just focusing on one thing that you perceive as a problem, and by focusing on that, you miss out on everything else.

Expansions Message: Overcoming Perfectionism and Accepting Yourself

Expansions Message: Overcoming Perfectionism and Accepting Yourself

Welcome to another episode of Creating Change with Emma Bradford!

EPISODE 51: During this episode, you’ll learn about the power of self-acceptance and perfectionism. In today’s expansion message, I delve into a wonderful image of the rose & what it teaches us. Just like a rose is made of different petals, life is like a puzzle, and when you get fixated on what you don’t like or your weaknesses, you miss out on the whole experience of life. Open up to who you are, you don’t have to be perfect!

The Rose Metaphor

[04:05] Every petal in a rose makes its form, and every form is part of its growth. When you focus on one part only in life, you open up to misinterpretations and only half of the experience. Choose to see the bigger picture, and things fall into place.

[05:24] When you are fixated on things you don’t like about yourself you forget everything else beyond that. Expand your perspective to experience whole life experience not the limited experience.

Perfectionism

[06:08] Perfectionism has this sense of controlling things and having them perfect but avoiding anything challenging, you miss the full experience which makes the rose.

[07:15] The metaphor of Sagrada Familia (famous building in Barcelona) despite being under construction for so many years and still incomplete, it’s a popular tourist attraction.

Self-Acceptance

[08:58] Shift your perspective on perfectionism. Life is made of different puzzles and when we focus on one little piece that we don’t like, we miss out on the full experience of who we truly are.

[10:21] Take a step back, identify what you don’t like and choose to open up more to self-acceptance.

Key Takeaways

●      You don’t need to have everything perfect. You don’t need to have everything complete.

●      Open up to accepting what it is, who you are now and focus on yourself rather than surface level character traits.

Celebratory 50th Episode Q&A Session... Answering Your Questions!

Celebratory 50th Episode Q&A Session... Answering Your Questions!

Welcome to another episode of Creating Change with Emma Bradford!

EPISODE 50: During this episode, we celebrate 50 episodes of this podcast with some great questions from my listeners that I answer. In this Q & A session, I share a definition on what unconditional love is, how to love your partner or loved ones from the Soul, tips for navigating breakups, as well as how childhood experiences impact adult relationships.

Defining Unconditional Love

[04:18] Conditional love is when we give or receive love through the eyes of the Ego, thinking certain things have to happen or feel a certain way in order to love.

[05:31] Unconditional love is when you see the bigger picture rather than being caught up in the limitations and emotions. Open up and see that deeper thread that connects everything, loving through that rather than the eyes of Ego identity.

[08:43] Healthy boundaries are important. It’s not a matter of being completely open and unconditionally loving all the time.

Navigating Breakups

[11:10] Breakups are painful to go through, and having a support circle is key. Share what you’re going through, and let your circle check up on you when you don’t feel like reaching out.

[13:02] Acknowledge the emotions that come up during the breakup and find a creative outlet, for instance, releasing it on paper and burning it, singing it and also creating a “No-contact” period with your ex-partner.

How Childhood Experiences Impact Your Relationships

[20:11] Much of what you experience in your childhood affects your relationship because you have this blueprint that mirrors back as you move through life.

[22:02] Identify your hidden limiting beliefs, let them go through NLP, coaching, or therapy, and rewrite your story. This will have a knock on effect on your relationships.

Key Takeaways

●      We have an Ego for a reason. It helps us to take action and remember who we are, but what is not helpful is when we are allowing it to be in control.

●      Breakups are challenging to go through. It can be painful, but also a great learning experience and a huge point of transformation.

●      How you talk about things has a knock on effect on how you feel about things.

3 Common Misconceptions About NLP

3 Common Misconceptions About NLP

3 Common Misconceptions about NLP Welcome to another episode of Creating Change with Emma Bradford!

EPISODE 49: During this episode, you’ll learn about three common misconceptions about NLP.  Sometimes, there are misunderstandings about NLP and it can be labeled incorrectly. Today, I share a broad definition of NLP, different ways that it is used, the true essence of NLP, and break down three common misconceptions about NLP.

What is NLP?

[02:15] NLP stands for Neuro-linguistic programming. It’s all to do with the unconscious filters in your mind (beliefs, values and metaprograms), linguistics (how we talk to ourselves / others) and programming (tools and techniques in NLP that can program the unconscious mind).

[06:10] NLP is often used in politics, business, breakthrough coaching and peak performance coaching.

[07:41] You can also use NLP to heal the inner child, overcome challenges from the past, any self-sabotaging behavior and fall back in love with yourself.

Three Misconceptions about NLP

[10:52] One common misconception about NLP is that it is manipulative because it is used in sales and politics, but it’s not NLP itself. It’s dependent on the individual and how they use it.

[12:57] Coaching. There is so much more to NLP and many therapists, professionals and coaches have done NLP training practitioner training for additional structure and techniques, especially to work with the unconscious mind.

[14:01] People think NLP is all about sales. It’s widely used in the business world, though it’s not the only way it is used. It can be used in a holistic sense and help people create a little more care and tenderness with themselves.

Practical Tips

[14:16] Watch my YouTube live replay on common misconceptions about NLP https://www.youtube.com/live/pTe7FHJufWQ?feature=share

[15:15] Use NLP to uncover who you are. It’s not about becoming a new person, but remembering who you truly are.

Key Takeaways

●      There is so much to explore and learn by using NLP, using that curious mindset and tapping into that curiosity.

●      You can destroy a house with a hammer or construct a house with a hammer. It’s not the hammer that’s the problem. It’s the intention of who is using the hammer and how they choose to use it.

The Impact We Have on Others and Why it Matters

The Impact We Have on Others and Why it Matters

Welcome to another episode of Creating Change with Emma Bradford!

EPISODE 48: Sometimes you may think your actions are insignificant, when you have no idea how far into the future, they can impact others. In today’s episode, I dive into the impact of our words and actions on others, communicating with love and kindness, as well as practical tips on creating a positive impact on others.

The Impact we Have on Others

[01:12] Sometimes, we think our actions are insignificant, but we don’t know their impact on those around us.

[03:16] My personal experience in helping someone with performance anxiety at an NLP meetup without any idea of its future impact until years later.

Impact of Words / Actions

[05:26] What you say to other people can have a big impact on them and even though you aren't responsible for everything people receive, communicate kindly or with love.

[08:26] Everything you do, no matter how insignificant it seems, can have a knock-on effect on those around you.

Practical Tip

[10:34] Take a moment and think about how others have impacted you with their words or actions or how you have impacted others. How do you show up now?

[11:09] We are always creating an impact, but the level of impact and the quality of impact is your choice.

Key Takeaways

●      You have no idea how far into the future your actions and words can benefit people, whether positive or negative. Communicate with love and kindness.

●      You are always creating an impact, and the quality of impact is your choice.

Five Simple Things That Transform My Life BIG Time

Five Simple Things That Transform My Life BIG Time

Welcome to another episode of Creating Change with Emma Bradford!

EPISODE 47: During this episode, you’ll learn about five things that have a big impact on my life. Listen as I share about how paying attention to the senses while traveling is a wonderful way to ground, the gift of nature and its healing properties, as well as dance as a way of removing any stuck emotions within. Also, I share how limiting alcohol and caffeine created a huge impact on anxiety levels and how NLP helped me break free of starting the day with my mobile.

Paying Attention to my Senses

[01:37] Paying attention to what I see, hear or feel while traveling.

[03:29] Noticing the sensation of your feet within your shoes and bringing the attention back to that is a great way to ground after a long flight.

Nature and Movement

[04:38] Nature has a healing property that’s beneficial for our health and well-being.

[05:24] Moving the body is a wonderful way to release any stuck emotions within. Find what works for you.

Reducing Alcohol and Caffeine

[07:55] Although I occasionally enjoy chocolate, green tea, black tea and decaf coffee, cutting out on alcohol & caffeine has reduced anxiety levels significantly.

[08:22] Cutting out alcohol was massive as it negatively impacted my wealth-well-being and I felt I wasn’t present within my body when I consumed it.

Phone Free Mornings

[09:44] The unconscious mind is first influenced when you wake up. I don’t want to program my unconscious mind with online news and negative stories first thing in the morning.

[10:42] Using the Swish pattern technique from NLP helped me shift into a new positive habit and start the day with presence.

Key Takeaways

● Moving our body is a wonderful way to get our body out of the head and allow that motion to flow through us rather than remain stuck within us.

● You don’t need to go from 0 to 100. Keep it simple. Pick one thing & notice what changes.

Live Recording: Real, Authentic Living and Listening to the Internal Wisdom Within

Live Recording: Real, Authentic Living and Listening to the Internal Wisdom Within

Welcome to another episode of Creating Change with Emma Bradford!

EPISODE 46: For the first time on this Podcast, I share an audio clip from a live class with my graduate students sharing my experience overcoming an emotionally and psychologically abusive relationship, learning to connect from the soul, and living soul-led life rather than listening solely to the mind. Also, I share about building a loving and supportive community and practical tips for stepping into a soul-led life!

Connecting to the Soul rather Than the Mind

[02:32] My experience with emotional and physiological abuse was the final spark of change that led me to creating change and living a life that my soul wants, not what the mind wants.

[03:05] Although society focuses much on the mind and achievements, find your truth. What feels good for you and how do you want to live?

Building a Supportive Community

[04:53] Connect with friends and start building a community to see who wants to live in alignment with nature and not against nature.

[07:04] Live in a community that’s loving and supportive of each other rather than a society that wants to judge, shame, blame and create division.

Practical Tip

[08:33] Notice what fears and excuses come up from the mind and notice what’s underneath the deeper message of what your heart and soul want to experience in life.

[09:13] For one-on-one sessions contact me… info@emmabradford.net

Key Takeaways

● Life is a gift, and it’s very precious. It goes by very quickly, and now is the time to pay attention to that little voice within.

● Find your community that’s loving and supportive of each other rather than a society that wants to judge, shame, blame and create division.

Audio Recording and Editing

[01:59] Record your podcast episodes way in advance to ensure you constantly have content.

[04:54] Record your episodes and send them to your audio editor to remove all the unnecessary sounds in the episode.

Show Notes and Videos

[05:40] Once your audio is ready, send it to a show note writer to capture all the key takeaways, mentioned links and episode description.

[06:15] Upload the show notes and audio online and send to YouTube assistant to upload on YouTube too.

Biggest Lessons

[12:29] Find a way to create a wonderful cozy environment to share your episodes from.

[13:14] Create the best emotional state when recording your episodes, like eating and drinking beforehand.

Practical Tip

[14:03] Hire a podcast coach to help you with the podcast set-up. I worked with Ineke who was a great help… https://www.zouritsolutions.com/.

Expansions Message: Authentic Unlimited Abundance

Expansions Message: Authentic Unlimited Abundance

Welcome to another episode of Creating Change with Emma Bradford!

EPISODE 44: During this episode, you’ll learn about connecting to the abundance and wealth in life. Abundance is the non-tangible and the currency of the heart. In today’s expansion message, I delve into the difference between money and abundance, a broad definition of abundance, and the different ways we can connect to that.

Money Vs Abundance

[01:35] We don’t need huge amounts of money to survive, but there can be stresses and worries related to money.

[02:16] Sometimes, we perceive our success as related to the amount of money we have, and we forget to consider the abundance we already have.

Defining Abundance

[02:41] We are all abundant beings with so much wealth in our life when we expand our perspectives and realise that it’s not all about money. It doesn’t revolve around that.

[03:22] It's not about whether you succeed or don’t accumulate material wealth. It’s about opening your heart to the truth that lies within.

Practical Tip

[06:19] Notice what helps you feel abundant and the more we connect to this, the more it can also affect our finances, money and life as a whole.

[06:52] It’s always back to the heart. That’s the real abundance. That’s the real currency.

Key Takeaways

● Money is not good or bad. It’s what we do with it that’s important.

● There are so many gifts in life, but not all of those gifts can pay bills in the direct sense. However, they can certainly have a knock-on effect on our health and well-being and influence all the other areas of life, including finances.

How to Make the Most of Your Unconscious Mind

How to Make the Most of Your Unconscious Mind

Welcome to another episode of Creating Change with Emma Bradford!

EPISODE 43: The unconscious mind is where we have the blueprint of our body. It’s like the recorder of our life experiences. Listen as I expound on the power of the unconscious mind and why it’s the biggest component of your life with a direct influence on the actions or decisions you take. Also, I delve into why what you surround yourself with matters and two simple, effective ways to reprogram your mind. Important topic!

Power of the Unconscious Mind

[01:26] The unconscious mind is one of the biggest components of ourselves, as it has a direct impact on how we live and experience life

[02:04] The unconscious mind is the goal getter. It gets the goal that directly influences your behaviors, thoughts, beliefs and actions you take in life.

Surrounding Yourself with Positive Messages

[05:00] The more you surround yourself with positive messages, the bigger the positive impact. If you surround yourself with fear, there can be unconscious programming of fear that can have a knock-on effect on the immune system https://www.medicalnewstoday.com/articles/324090

[06:00] The two most important times for reprogramming the unconscious mind are in the morning, when waking up and just before you fall asleep.

Practical Tip

[07:14] The sound of your own voice is one of the most powerful things you can listen to. Record your own voice talking through positive affirmations or something that feeds you with positive beliefs.

[08:10] Be mindful and pay attention to what information you surround yourself with or read.

Key Takeaways

● The conscious mind is the goal-setter, and the unconscious mind is the goal-getter.

● The unconscious mind is where we store our beliefs. We filter our realities according to beliefs held within the unconscious mind.

Expansions Message: What is Your Heart Saying?

Expansions Message: What is Your Heart Saying?

Welcome to another episode of Creating Change with Emma Bradford!

EPISODE 42: During this episode, you’ll learn about the immensity of who you are by connecting with your heart. What’s the message from your heart? In today’s expansion message, I dive into the power of reconnecting with your heart, using your mind rather than being directed by it, acknowledging your heart as the compass of life as well as creating a balance between the two.

Connecting to Your Heart

[02:05] You cannot know the immensity of who you are through the limited perspective of the mind until you step into your heart, connect with your heart then open the door to the infinite wisdom connection.

[02:28] The heart is the gateway to the unspoken truth within each human cell.

The Power of the Heart and Mind

[03:26] The heart connects us to something greater beyond our personal identity while the mind amplifies it.

[05:15] Create a balance between the heart and mind. The mind is incredibly powerful but the compass of life itself is the heart and Soul.

Practical Tip

[05:50] Start by reconnecting to your heart by asking questions in your journal.

[06:00] Respond to the question, “What’s the message from my heart right now.”

Key Takeaways

● The mind is a tool to use, not live by, so use the mind rather than being controlled or directed by it.

● When we reconnect to the heart rather than what is believed by the fear based mind it brings a doorway of infinite possibilities.

Plant Medicine and The Healing Power of Everyday Life

Plant Medicine and The Healing Power of Everyday Life

Welcome to another episode of Creating Change with Emma Bradford!

EPISODE 41: Plant medicine is an ancient practice that has been there for years but recently gaining awareness on a wider global level. When conducted with a level of respect and traditions, plant medicine can have great benefits though should be done with a grounded sense of understanding, respect and honour. Tune in and listen as I delve into the benefits and challenges of plant medicine, as well as paying keen attention to mother nature and the messages everyday life has to offer.

Plant Medicine Awareness

[01:35] Plant medicine originated from the ancient practices carried out for many years by skilled Shamanic healers and tribes.

[01:53] The increased awareness of plant medicine on a societal level and across the world.

Benefits and Challenges

[02:35] Most people have found huge benefits from plant medicine, such as alleviating depression, mental health issues and overcoming emotional challenges.

[05:06] When plant medicine is not done with the level of respect for traditions and ancient practices, it can cause problems.

[06:11] If you feel the call to try Ayahuasca, it needs to come from the plant itself and done so with respect and with a trained and experienced facilitator.

Practical Tip

[10:47] Start deepening your connection with mother nature and the messages life is offering when you slow down and come back to presence.

[15:26] Pay attention to everyday life and see life as a sacred medicine. When you pay attention, everything is right there.

Key Takeaways

● Everything we need is here right now; if something we need is not here, there is a stepping stone present.

● Life can be the most sacred medicine when we pay attention to it.

● What will happen in the ceremony is what you need rather than what you want.

The Art of Cultivating Self-Tenderness

The Art of Cultivating Self-Tenderness

Welcome to another episode of Creating Change with Emma Bradford!

EPISODE 40: During this episode, you’ll learn how to generate more self-tenderness. At times, you may have good intentions and strong desire for self-care but end up falling back into self-sabotaging patterns. How can we make it easier and what are the benefits of cultivating self-tenderness? Tune in and listen as I dive into the topic of self-love and care, understanding your personal love language, being intentional in cultivating self-tenderness as well as letting go of the inner critic.

Self-Love and Self-Care

[02:04] Peter Kelly defines self-love as being open to receiving, while self-care are the actions, beliefs and boundaries.

[03:20] You don’t have to be perfect in self-love and care, it’s all about balance. There might be times when we do things imperfectly, and that’s okay. Give yourself a little bit more grace.

[06:28] The first step to self-love is to bring acceptance to where things are currently and tolerate yourself a little bit more.

[06:50] Start with tolerance as Willemijn de Dreu says https://willemijndedreu.com/

Understanding Your Love Language

[07:21] We all have preferences on how we give and receive love according to the five love languages https://5lovelanguages.com. Notice what feels good for you. It’s a gateway to generating more self-care for yourself.

[10:53] Pick one aspect of love to explore and notice how different you feel. Use it to generate self-care if it feels different in how you interact with people.

Being Intentional

[13:12] Open up, bring self-tenderness and connect to the present moment.

[14:35] Once you notice unhealthy habits popping up, choose to make a difference and create change.

Practical Tip

[15:43] Embrace the de-identification pattern to break from any limiting beliefs and inner critic.

[16:41] Connect to the bigger picture. You are valuable at your very core, choose to see yourself through a different lens.

Key Takeaways

● The more love we bring to ourselves, the more tenderness we bring to ourselves. The more connection we create with ourselves, the less those unhelpful habits will carry out also.

● There are so many challenges and things we are navigating not only personally but also globally. Simply being here on the planet during this time takes such a courageous Soul!

Expansions Message: How To Be The Alchemist of Your Life

Expansions Message: How To Be The Alchemist of Your Life

Welcome to another episode of Creating Change with Emma Bradford!

EPISODE 39: Transform the mud into gold! In today’s episode, I share a little sneak peek from personal practice on how to transform challenges into wonderful possibilities & opportunities. How do you turn your setbacks into the greatest work of art? Tune in to this episode for more insights.

Giving Thanks to the Miracle of Life

[02:33] To breathe consciously and deeply is to enter the very existence of life itself. To breathe is to be in the dance of polarities, the space between polarities.

[02:53] You’re truly alive when you recognise life and give thanks to the miracle of life.

Being the Alchemist in your life

[03:15] Opening up to new perspectives and turning your setbacks into being the greatest work of art.

[04:25] Life happens for us, not to us. It’s constantly opening up opportunities. Identify the gift and what life is inviting you to expand into.

Practical tips

[04:49] If you’re going through a particular challenge at the moment, ask yourself how you can transform that. How can you use it as a stepping stone forward?

[05:19] Taking a conscious inhale and exhale during a challenge can be helpful. Not only to we deepen our breaths, but we get more oxygen for our brains to think clearly and can calm everything down.

[06:11] Journal the gift or opportunity that your current challenge offers you now.

Key Takeaways

● To be in this human existence takes courage through the twists and turns. One lesson at a time. One setback at a time, letting go of what once was.

● Transform the mud into gold. One foot at a time. One step forward at a time.

● Life happens for us, not to us.

The Shadow of Social Media, Self Development and How I’m Navigating it

The Shadow of Social Media, Self Development and How I’m Navigating it

Welcome to another episode of Creating Change with Emma Bradford!

EPISODE 38: During this episode, you’ll learn about the light and the shadow within the self-awareness industry. After ten years in the self-awareness industry professionally (and many more personally) I have seen a lot and learnt a lot. I have always been aware of the non-physical world, my intuition is a big part of my life. However, growing up at school and as a teenager, I pushed it all to one side. Later, through my own struggles, stress, and anxiety of working in particularly challenging situations, I dived into it again. Tune in to listen as I expand on the shadow of the self-awareness industry, personal responsibility in discerning what resonates especially regarding trends in the social media world. An important episode topic and one to be discussed and shared.

The Self-Awareness Industry

[02:10] There is much in the self-awareness industry to help people with what they are struggling with.

[03:12] Manipulative practices in the coaching & self-awareness industry.

Personal Responsibility

[04:18] Don’t expect to be spoon-fed. Listen to your intuition and take responsibility and discern what resonates with you and what doesn't.

[05:05] Professionals in the field should recognise people as complete and whole, and there is nothing to fix. Sometimes people need an extra helping hand along the way, and the individual can choose who to get it from. Learn more on my blog post -https://emmabradford.blogspot.com/2022/10/struggles-self-awareness-industry-how.html

The Social Media Game

[07:20] Social media can be a blessing or a big challenge. It’s constantly changing, and keeping up with new trends to build engagement is a constant, never ending game of catch up.

[09:07] On a mental level, people are getting used to shorter pieces of information. Attention spans are dropping thanks to TikTok, Instagram Reels and YouTube shorts – many people want to learn everything quickly.

Practical Tip

[14:39] When looking for adverts and marketing from different coaches, tune into your body. Use your intuition as a guide to noticing how it feels. Learn to listen to your discernment. Here is a great documentary https://www.kumaremovie.com/

[16:55] To explore and learn more about personal awareness, join the creating change group training https://www.emmabradford.net/creating-change.html

Key Takeaways

● People have everything they need within them, just that sometimes they need a little helping hand along the way.

● Social media can be a blessing. It’s a wonderful way to connect with people worldwide, but it’s important to be mindful of how we use it.

Busting Beliefs About Feminine and Masculine Polarities: Creating Internal Balance

Busting Beliefs About Feminine and Masculine Polarities: Creating Internal Balance

Welcome to another episode of Creating Change with Emma Bradford!

EPISODE 37: During this episode, you’ll learn about masculine & feminine polarities and creating an internal balance between the two. As much as the coaching world focuses on women stepping into their femininity, it’s more about finding the harmony between the masculine and feminine polarities. In this episode, we delve into masculine vs feminine polarities, finding a balance between the two and why it’s important to use your balanced inner masculine as a woman.

Masculine vs Feminine

[1:59] Feminine energy is the expression of the energy flow both gentle to wild, while masculine is the holding space and awareness to witness that energy flowing through.

[5:40] Society’s perspective on feminine energy is intuitive, flowing and creative.

Find Balance Between the Structure & Flow Within

[7:11] It’s not about swinging too far in one direction forgetting the other. It’s about both and finding a balance between the structure & flow within.

[09:16] Stepping up into your inner masculine as a woman. It helps you navigate through trauma, emotions and creates a sense of safety.

Practical Tip

[12:30] Bring in a little bit more structure and flow in whatever way it feels good in your day-to-day work.

[14:18] Tune into yourself and notice what feels good and how you can create internal harmony.

[14:37] If you would like to explore this further, join us on the creating change training https://www.emmabradford.net/creating-change.html

Key Takeaways

● The energy, awareness, expression and flow of energy have nothing to do with gender. Every single human being has structure and flow.

● There are many misconceptions in the world about what it means to be a man or woman. Tune into yourself and notice what feels good for you and how you can create internal harmony within for yourself.

How to Reparent the Inner Child Within

How to Reparent the Inner Child Within

Welcome to another episode of Creating Change with Emma Bradford!

EPISODE 36: During this episode, you’ll learn about reparenting your inner child within. As we go through life, when relating to others, there can be triggers that we find challenging due to our childhood wounds. How do you respond to the hurt, abandonment, or rejection from your childhood? How can you acknowledge that inner child within that wants to be heard, seen, and comforted? Listen as we delve into the world of the Inner child, finding the root cause rather than blaming others, acknowledging the inner child within, and tips to connect to your younger self!

Childhood Wounds and Triggers

[01:03] It’s easy to get caught up in the moment and feel that all comes from what the other person has said or whatever situation you are in. However, much of it is from childhood wounds.

[02:05] Finding the root cause of your childhood hurts and not blaming others in the present moment.

Acknowledging the Inner Child Within

[2:39] You don't have to blame yourself. Acknowledge the inner child within that just wants to be heard, seen and comforted.

[4:12] Connecting with your younger self.

Practical Tip

[7:01] Have an image of your younger self and spend a moment each day acknowledging that part of yourself

[8:35] Self-awareness and development don’t need to be serious. You can have fun through dancing, playing, numerology, and creative arts and cultivate the essence of the inner child on the creating change traininghttps://www.emmabradford.net/creating-change.html

Key Takeaways

● Let go of blaming others in the present moment, often it what they have said or done has nothing to do with what you’re feeling (within reason). And more to do with what story you’re playing out in your mind about the situation and what’s related to your childhood wounds.

● As adults, we can parent ourselves and be the parents we feel we never had. We can give that back to ourselves.

● When you deal with the past hurt, you won’t feel so triggered if something related happens again.

How to Find Stillness Within the Chaos

How to Find Stillness Within the Chaos

Welcome to another episode of Creating Change with Emma Bradford!

EPISODE 35: During this episode, you’ll learn about finding stillness within the chaos. How do you find stillness during the chaotic moments in life? Listen as I share a potent vision that came to me in a time of need, a still serene goddess. The different polarities, contrasts in life how they help us evolve, helping you to integrate polarities further. Plus some practical tips to connect with the stillness within chaos!

A Still Serene Goddess

[1:01] A vision of a completely still serene goddess many years ago in a white desert, and that serene look on her face has stuck with me ever since.

[2:54] We may have chaotic moments in our lives, yet deep within, we have the stillness of our own Soul.

Polarities and Contrasts

[03:41] We have all these polarities and contrasts, but thanks to the contrasts, we can learn, grow and evolve.

[04:18] If there are shadow aspects about yourself, things you dislike bring loving curiosity. Close the gap in between, create wholeness and recognize every moment you can connect to stillness.

Practical Tip

[6:38] Pay attention to your breath. Inhale, exhale and notice the moments or pauses between exhale and inhale.

[8:34] Navigate through your emotions in a fun and practical way through dance and creative arts on the creating change training https://www.emmabradford.net/creating-change.html

Key Takeaways

● Chaos isn’t bad. Remember, there is always the other polarity too that can help you navigate through the chaos, learn and grow from it.

● The world is about polarities. You can’t have one thing without the other. It’s about closing the gap between the two, creating wholeness, integration and recognising in every moment we can connect to stillness too.

Connecting to the Soul Through Art

Connecting to the Soul Through Art

Welcome to another episode of Creating Change with Emma Bradford!

EPISODE 34: In today’s episode, I share my passion for creative arts since kindergarten, the power of allowing intuition in creativity rather than focusing on the logical mind only, as well as my Soul art sessions that I now offer combined with NLP coaching. Tune into the episode for insights on how to reconnect with yourself through with colour and paint.

Passion for Creative Arts

[01:47] Creative arts is a big part of Creating Change, the training. I blended everything I knew about NLP, creative arts & therapeutic movement.

[02:15] The creative aspect of drawing and painting has been a big part of me since day one, creating in kindergarten.

Intuition and Creativity

[03:48] We all have the ability and skill to be creative. Often, we’re trained in society to focus on the rational, logical mind and overlook the intuitive.

[04:09] Many times I have found myself painting someone or something without even realising why I put that particular image only and later to realise it had a significant meaning to the person I was painting for.

Soul Art Session

[07:02] Soul art session primarily is about your intuitive message as you connect to the art. I always ask my client to connect to their own intuition when looking at the art created first before I share what messages I received.

[08:19] In the soul art sessions, I create a unique original drawing or painting for the client and then we have one-on-one zoom-sessions to discuss it. For more information, email info@emmabradford.net

[09:29] Soul art sessions are a wonderful way to reconnect, a wonderful self-gift to yourself and your loved ones.

Key Takeaways

● We can all be intuitive. We can all pick up on sensations and messages.

● Your ultimate guide, your ultimate teacher, is your own intuition. Not what I say now that someone else says, you are an intuition.

● Each person is an individual. Each person is going through their own life set of challenges and lessons.

● Human beings are creative in nature even if we think we are not creative.

Successful New Year Resolutions: What Often is Overlooked

Successful New Year Resolutions: What Often is Overlooked

Welcome to another episode of Creating Change with Emma Bradford!

EPISODE 33: A big topic that comes up every year! At the beginning of each new year, many people look forward to creating new, healthy habits, letting go of unhealthy habits, and putting their best foot forward in year ahead. However, often motivation drops after a few weeks. Why is that? I’ll share in today’s episode. Here’s an episode with great tips for creating successful new year's resolutions.

Conscious Mind vs. Unconscious Mind

[02:48] We often set goals from the conscious mind while not paying attention to the unconscious mind.

[03:43] So much of what we do is based on the unconscious mind. So, get the unconscious mind on board with any new year’s resolutions.

Limiting Beliefs

[04:09] Find the limiting beliefs and ask questions about the new year's resolutions. If the answers are negative, that’s can be why self-sabotage can kick in.

[05:14] Let go of limiting beliefs by identifying what conflicts with your resolutions.

Practical Tip

[07:07] Get crystal clear on what it is you want. Do it for you, not for someone else, and choose what’s in alignment with your desires or values.

[[07:56] Ease off the pressure and allow yourself to enjoy life.

[08:56] One-on-one sessions to explore what’s going on with the unconscious mind and join create change the training www.emmabradford.net.

Key Takeaways

● The conscious mind is what we say we are going to do, and the unconscious mind is actually what we do.

● Enjoy life. The more we connect to this love in life, the less those unhealthy habits will play out.

The Invitation of 2023: What Numerology Says About this Year

The Invitation of 2023: What Numerology Says About this Year

Welcome to another episode of Creating Change with Emma Bradford!

EPISODE 32: In this episode, we delve into insights about what the year invites us to connect to. What are opportunities in 2023, according to the sacred science of numbers? I share the biggest question for the year, finding your own truth and why it’s the best year to encounter new opportunities. Tune into the episode to find out what awaits us this new year!

2023 Numerology

[01:46] 2023 numerology (2+0+2+3 = 7) and the global collective energy for the year.

[03:16] Identify your personal year number by adding the day and month of your birth to the number seven and reducing it to a single digit.

[04:04] Number 7 is known for seeking the truth, finding and learning new things. A great time to learn about spirituality, metaphysics, science or technology.

Biggest Question for 2023

[05:34] Seeking the deeper meaning of truth for you rather than following someone blindly or an organization without listening to your internal voice.

[06:05] Looking beyond the physical and connecting to your spiritual truth. If you don’t have a spiritual practice, it’s a wonderful year to start!

2023 is the year of truth

[07:23] 2023 is the year when truths will come out, new perspectives, ideas, and ways of looking at things.

[09:23] Year of personal awareness, diving into self-development & connecting to your intuition. This is not the year to override your intuition with the logical mind.

Practical Tip

[12:23] Connect with your curious mindset. Things will become clearer, insights will unfold as well, and you’ll navigate through different lessons and challenges.

[12:50] 2023 marks the launch of creating change. If you’re struggling with anxiety, low self-esteem, or feeling lost, join my training at www.emmabradford.net.

Key Takeaways

● Seek the deeper truths for you. Don’t follow what someone else or what an organization says blindly - find your personal truth.

● Look beyond the physical and connect to the spiritual truth. If you don’t have a spiritual practice, this is a wonderful year to start that.

● What’s the meaning of life? There are many answers to this, and no one has the full truth about it. We just have little snippets. The most important thing is you find your truth and take this opportunity to look within and recognise what’s within.

Welcome to another episode of Creating Change with Emma Bradford!

EPISODE 31: During this episode, you’ll learn simple, effective ways to help you navigate heavier emotions. If you are feeling a lot of sadness, anger, fear, guilt, or any emotion you might find challenging, you don’t need to hold on to them. There are ways to learn from them and then let them go with some creative and enjoyable processes. Suppressing emotions is not healthy for the body and well-being. Learn how to embody your emotions, allow them to flow, and let them out to live an optimal life.

Emotions

[1:01] - Learning how to navigate and release heavy emotions and related previous podcast episodes to listen to.

[2:09] - Everything is made up of energy. Emotions are Energy in Motion.

Being Fully Self Aware

[2:53] - Being fully aware of the thoughts that are influencing or creating the emotional state that you find yourself in.

[3:56] - We have a choice. We can transform our emotional state and story by turning our ‘should’s’ and ‘have-to’s’ into ‘I could’ or ‘I choose to’.

[4:29] - Understand that there are no negative emotions. Every emotion has a message and a gift. They are an invitation leading onto something else.

Practical Tip

[6:26] - Creative expression: Whenever you’re experiencing heavy emotions, find a way to express them creatively, whether it’s through writing, painting, singing, or whatever feels good to you.

[10:37] - Get into the body, feel the emotion, and dance it out. Through physical movement, we’re helping to release any trapped emotions that may be stored within the body.

[1:41] Three practical keys to get embodied and allow emotions to flow - breath, movement, and sound.

Key Takeaways

  • Sometimes we are not fully aware of how much our thoughts contribute and create some emotional states we find ourselves in.
  • Whenever a heavier emotion comes up, it’s important to notice what presides them and pay attention to the thoughts.
  • When we’re aware of our thoughts, we can change our emotional state and rewrite our story to turn our ‘should’s’ and ‘have to’s’ into ‘I could’, or ‘I choose’.
  • Every emotion has a lesson, and every emotion has a gift.
  • Emotions can reside in our bodies, and if we don’t allow them to flow through us, they can become trapped in our bodies.

Looking Back and Seeing the Full Cycle in Life

Looking Back and Seeing the Full Cycle in Life

Welcome to another episode of Creating Change with Emma Bradford!

EPISODE 30: During this episode, you’ll learn how to reflect on your life experiences that have shaped who you are today and helped you to achieve and connect to your gifts. There are no failures in life, everything is part of the whole experience, and there are insights that we can learn from every experience.  There are gifts and opportunities in everything, even in obstacles. Today’s episode is about taking a moment to reflect back and look at where you are right now to acknowledge how far you have come, everything you have learned and how all those past experiences have given you gifts and opportunities.

Looking Back

[2:08] - Life is a journey of twists and turns, exploration and evolution to your ultimate destination, which is back to your heart and the core of who you truly are.

[3:30] - Managing expectations when things don’t turn out as we expected, when obstacles arise, and when things don’t work in life.

Full Circle Moments

[4:10] - Turning around and looking back at the experiences on your journey and how they shaped who you are today and the gifts you were able to connect to.

[5:26] - How the skills I learned in textile design at the university have been helpful in what I do today, even though I’m in a different field

[7:57] - There are no failures, everything is a redirection, part of the whole experience, and there are things that we can learn from every single experience.

Practical Tip

[9:09] - Journal and make it practical. Ask yourself questions and reflect on what has helped you to get where you’re today and what you have learned from those experiences.

Key Takeaways

  • The ultimate destination in life is simply back to your own heart and the core of who you truly are.
  • Life is change, and it always brings up unexpected things.
  • Failures are just redirection helping you to redirect yourself on the path that you’re meant to be on.
  • There are insights we can learn from every single experience, and it’s about paying attention and opening up the awareness to notice them.

Expansions Message: Living Life With Gratitude and Respectful Honour

Expansions Message: Living Life With Gratitude and Respectful Honour

Welcome to another episode of Creating Change with Emma Bradford!

EPISODE 29: During this episode, you’ll learn how to expand your awareness and perspective to navigate challenges in life with ease. Living life and reconnecting with yourself is all about coming back to the heart, that loving essence that each of us has within. Living life in the present moment with gratitude and respectfulness recognising the life and the divinity within ourselves and others. Sometimes it’s easy to forget how incredible we are when we focus on all the should’s, the have-to’s, the material things, and the things we dislike about ourselves. Stop creating limitations. Keep it simple, set the intention, and reconnect with that loving essence within you.

Expansion Messages

[1:56] - Expansion messages from my personal practice that I’ve been sharing via email and how you can subscribe to receive wonderful authentic messages.

[3:35] - The intention behind expansion messages: I send them to help connect with the all-loving essence within that every single person has.

Coming Back to The Heart

[4:40] - One of my very first expansion messages that I shared with my email list on coming back to the heart and how this is the very anchor in life.

[5:48] - The part that I found beneficial for me: Perceived definitions can become hidden limitations.

[6:47] - Living life with presence, gratitude and respectful honour to the divine within all and yourself.

Practical Tip

[7:51] - Look into your eyes, see your eyes blinking back at you and see the life that is right there. That is the gateway to divinity, and it starts with your eyes.

[9:56] Keep it simple, look at yourself in the mirror, connect to your eyes and just recognise that life blinking back at you. Set the intention to recognise that and notice what changes.

Key Takeaways

  • It’s easy to forget to come back to the heart when we’ve so many activities, bills, work, and a reminder can be very useful.
  • Coming back to the heart is the main anchor in life.
  • When we’re so focused on a particular label or definition of something, we limit ourselves because we’re not so open to considering new perspectives.
  • Sometimes it’s easy to forget who we’re when we focus on all ‘should’s’, ‘have to’s’, ‘must-do’s’, ‘need to’s’, and the things we dislike about ourselves.
  • Sometimes we’re so focused on material wealth that we forget what lies at the very deepest core.

My Personal Daily Energy Practice

My Personal Daily Energy Practice

Welcome to another episode of Creating Change with Emma Bradford!

EPISODE 28: During this episode, you’ll learn how you can maintain your energy, stay grounded in your own energy and navigate life a little bit easier. Each of us has this quantum field of energy around us, and picking and holding onto other people's energy within our energy field can affect our health and well-being. Today’s episode is a call to connect with our energetic body, be mindful of our energy and try some practices which can help clean the energetic field, revive and reconnect to that pure light that lives within you.

Attending to Our Energetic Body

[1:07] - Caring and attending to our energetic body just like we do for our physical, emotional, and energetic body.

[2:02] - Everything is made up of energy. Everything is made up of vibrating particles and energy running through them.

How to Be Mindful of the Energetic Body

[3:09] - Feeling and sensing energy, you can feel drained or uplifted in different spaces.

[4:19] - Why it can be challenging for those who are very sensitive to energy to be in certain environments or be around certain people when there is heavier energy.

[4:53] - Paying attention and being mindful of energetic boundaries to avoid burnout and absorbing people’s stresses, worries and fears.

[05:51] - Evening practice that I started using to clean and clear energies from my field that I pick up throughout the day in sessions with clients.

Being Intuitive of The Presence of Energy

[6:27] - If you are feeling drained, tired, or exhausted after being in certain situations, drained environments or people, that is a representation of energy.

Practical Tips

[17:38] - Set the intention. Imagine you’re standing under a wonderful shower that is showering you with bright light, and it’s washing away anything you don’t need to hold onto down into the ground to be transmuted.

[10:17] Connect to gratitude every evening before going to sleep to reset and come back to the heart.

Key Takeaways

  • Everything is made up of energy.
  • We don’t see energy, but we can sense and feel it.
  • It can be a little challenging for people who are sensitive to energies in certain environments and with certain people.
  • Everyone has a quantum of energy around them, and picking and holding other people's energy within your field can affect your well-being.
  • Something that we cannot see can be challenging to think it’s there, but we know energy is there because of its results.

Step Into Your Power - Recognising the Gift of Choice

Step Into Your Power - Recognising the Gift of Choice

Welcome to another episode of Creating Change with Emma Bradford!

EPISODE 27: Step into the power that’s always there, even in the most challenging situations – recognising choice. It’s easy to play the victim, it’s easy to point the finger at others and focus on how others have it better. Thing is what choices are we making in our daily life to support our dreams? A powerful episode, a must listen and share within your circles.

Side Note: I mention a mild swear word in this podcast – in case you have little ones around and wish to use headphones.

Luck & Privilege

[1:44] - I’ve had many people say to me “You’re so lucky”. Yes, I have a very privileged life in many ways, and in other ways I’ve made some hard decisions to be where I am today.

Choice

[3:15] - We always have choice. Pay attention to your choices in day-to-day life. Are they in alignment with your goals and values?

[4:40] - Challenges that I have faced personally – no steady income from 9.5 job, famio

[5:32] - Elisabeth Gilbert “Every job has a shit sandwich”, there will be things we like more than others and aspects of a job that we dislike https://asialenae.com/2021/06/24/elizabeth-gilbert-whats-your-favorite-flavor-of-shit-sandwich/

[6:15] Overall what do you want to experience? Overall, what do you want to prioritise? Overall, what’s important to you? Notice what daily little actions you choose that lead to the bigger choices.

Overcoming Limitations & Fear

[7:46] The ultimate choice - be the victim or make the most of an opportunity.

[8:00] - ‘Finding Excuses And Reasons’ why we can’t do something = means we are stuck in fear. “What loving action can I do now?”. Fear opens the door to courage; courage is taking loving action regardless of fears.

[10:00] Victor Frankl in his book ‘Man’s Search for Meaning’ shared his difficult situation in a war concentration camp, he made a choice to make the most of a very hard situation so he could get through it and be of service to others. https://viktorfranklamerica.com/viktor-frankl-books/

[11:00] What are you choosing today in order to create the life that you love?

Expansions Message: What Transforms When You Try This?

Expansions Message: What Transforms When You Try This?

Welcome to another episode of Creating Change with Emma Bradford!

EPISODE 26: During this episode, you’ll learn how you can connect with yourself, soften and come back to the loving essence. Being a vessel of love is all about connecting with yourself and the all-loving essence within and recognising the love that flows through you and resides within you. Your loving essence is you. Soften and reconnect to the deeper essence within, come back to the heart and bring the best into your daily life.

How To Connect with Yourself

[1:28] - Intuitive knowing and how I went about increasing and upleveling my intuition this year by pausing and taking time to go inward in different ways.

[2:12] - How I was able to set the intention, start writing/journaling and notice the messages were coming up for me to connect with my heart, soul and the all-loving essence that lies within me that each one of us has.

[4:23] - Words and phrases that I used in writing the messages to transform my perspective of any challenging situation

Coming Back to The Heart

[5:52] - The messages that I shared on my email newsletter list, on reconnecting and tapping into ourselves more in our daily life.

[8:15] - Coming back to softer awareness and bringing a little more tenderness to ourselves, to others and to situations, that we find ourselves in.

[9:07] - What it means to soften in life. What it doesn’t mean to soften in life.

Practical Tip

[11:06] - Scan your body right now and notice if there are any areas of tension. If you hold any tension within your jaw, hips, or shoulders, breathe through that to soften.

Key Takeaways

● Connecting with yourself and the all-loving essence within will help you guide yourself in whatever situation you are going through.

● If we tap into ourselves even 1% more in our daily life, we can create a change on this planet, and it’s all about coming back to the heart and connecting back to that softer side of ourselves.

● It’s not always easy though it can be simple, soften and come back to the loving awareness, place your hand on your heart and notice what life experience is all about when you live life through this.

● Through awareness and active breathing, you are helping your body to release tension and soften; you soften through your tender loving awareness and presence.

How to Love Your Body Even More

How to Love Your Body Even More

Welcome to another episode of Creating Change with Emma Bradford!

EPISODE 25: Big topic! And especially for many women. Body image and our relationship to our body. Here is a soothing bitesize episode to rewrite the story and start loving your body even more.

Challenges

[1:32] – Most people on some level have had some thoughts or challenges in how they view aspects of their body. This is especially common for women due to the pressures in society.

Beyond the Surface

[3:26] - Flip the script, it’s not about surface level appearances. Notice how your body as a whole gifts you so many wonderful experiences.

[5:00] - The gifts the body can offer. We can write, walk, run, dance etc thanks to the body. We are able to experience so much and we often take it for granted.

Practical Step Forward

[7:45] - Pick one aspect of your body that you feel you can start appreciating right now. Even if it is something small like your nose or your ear giving you the gift of scent or sound.

[9:40] - Choose what works for you, focus on one aspect of your body during a week or one each day until you can start connecting to your body as a whole.

A Vessel to Use

[10:28] - The body is a physical vessel where our energy resides and animates the body. The helps us experience the gifts of this human experience. See the divinity.

[11:25] - It’s not about looking a certain way, it’s about what you get to experience in life thanks to your body.

[11:54] - Menstrual cycles are a wonderful time to connect to the body.

[13:10] - Use a mirror and look at one part of your body in the mirror, notice the thoughts that arise and recognise the gifts that each part offers you.

Keys for a Successful Gratitude Practice - Support New Healthy Habits

Keys for a Successful Gratitude Practice - Support New Healthy Habits

Welcome to another episode of Creating Change with Emma Bradford!

EPISODE 24: All about Gratitude! In this episode I share my gratitude practice and how accountability has helped me keep it up every day 3 years later and still going. I also talk about the neurology of the mind and how habits are formed. If you’re looking to create healthy habits and tap into gratitude even more this episode is for you!

How my Practice Started

[1:27] -The inner critic at the end of the day and how “should’s, have to’s, must’s” often arise.

[2:08] - I suggested to a friend that we hold each other accountable and start a gratitude practice. Switching the focus away from scarcity and lack to the gifts already present moment.

Power of Repetition

[5:00] - The unconscious mind gets reprogrammed through repetition. Whatever we repeat becomes an ingrained habit.

[5:30] - Using this awareness to transform our mobile phone usage. The mind works on what we have experienced in the past. What neural pathways are you reinforcing?

Power of Accountability & Support

[7:00] - Walking through a journey with someone can make it easier and more enjoyable.

[7:39] - There are also studies to show that witnessing other people express gratitude is just as powerful as expressing gratitude ourselves. Article about Sara Algoe and her research: https://www.saraalgoe.com/_files/ugd/30fbd7_b9aa2c8615124e52b88478eab9154c25.pdf?index=true

Power of Details

[8:40] - An important KEY in making gratitude practices work. Connect to the details, because that’s how we connect to the feeling.

[11:11] - The little (BIG) things give us fuel to navigate the challenges, they give inspiration and joy. What do you see, hear and feel in your present surroundings?

Moving Through Resistance

[12:21] - Want a gratitude buddy and struggling to find someone? Email info@emmabradford.net.

[13:10] - It’s not about bypassing challenges, it’s about moving through it and seeing the gifts in the process.

[13:40] - If there is resistance in carrying out gratitude practices sometimes it’s because of shame that has been unconsciously linked in childhood with what you have compared to other people.

[14:57] - Gratitude can boost wellbeing, improved sleep, immunity etc… https://positivepsychology.com/benefits-of-gratitude/

Feminine Energy, Archetypes and Common Misconceptions

Feminine Energy, Archetypes and Common Misconceptions

Welcome to another episode of Creating Change with Emma Bradford!

EPISODE 23: One of my favourite topics of exploration, the feminine energy. In this episode I share 4 main feminine archetypes and how they link with the menstrual cycle. As well as a few common misconceptions about the feminine energy and what it means to be in your feminine energy. A topic for all, we all regardless of gender have both masculine and feminine polarities within.

Feminine Energy

[0:53] - Nothing to do with genders. Masculine and feminine energies are labels to describe the polarities within the universe.

[1:27] - Each of the polarities have polarities within themselves, this is often forgotten about.

4 key Feminine Archetypes

[2:33] - The Maiden, the mother, wild woman (mystic), wise woman (crone) and how this links in with menstrual cycles.

[2:33] - The internal spring (more energy, time of activity), summer (opening, nurturing, giving), autumn (clearing, premenstrual, heightened emotions), and winter (going inwards, internal wisdom, tranquillity).

[5:30] - There are so many different book and trainings out there, this is also something we explore on Creating Change the training. More details on my website www.emmabradford.net.

Common Misconceptions

[6:50] - Emotions will arise in life. The feminine energy wants to flow how she wants, when she wants. Do I suppress and shut down emotions? How do I treat the feminine energy within? Silence her? Ignore her?

[8:57] - The feminine energy is not there to be shamed, blamed and judged. She wants to express herself how she wants, when she wants.

[9:20] - Her going in within, her micro expressions are sacred too. To only look at and label one part of the cycle as ‘feminine’ or women who express that part as ‘feminine’ is to miss the sacredness of the entirety of the feminine energy. There’s not just the expressive wild woman, there are also so many other flavours and colours to the feminine.

[10:50] - We can have big emotional expressions and also micro expressions. Both are sacred, both are part of the feminine.

Practical Tip

[11:50] - Start off paying attention to the emotions, the feminine energy, this living energy. Hear her, listen to her, hold her, be present with her. Intention over perfection.

[13.00] - Side note: I’m a student too, these are little observations as I continue to grow on this journey of exploration. More episodes to come!

One of the Most Radical Acts of Change We Can Do for Humanity

One of the Most Radical Acts of Change We Can Do for Humanity

Welcome to another episode of Creating Change with Emma Bradford!

EPISODE 22: We have been through some very potent times in history, humanity has been stretched and challenged in big ways these last few years. Despite the fears, the misleading information, the differences… underneath it all we have more in common than we are led to believe. Back to the heart, let’s create radical change through our ability to connect to the powerful thread that connects us all.

Thank You

[0:45] – Thank you for listening to this podcast and sharing these episodes with loved ones.

Good / Bad Narrative

[2:30] – How we can create change in the world. Easy to get caught up in victim ‘blame others’ mindset which only creates more division.

[3:28] – People underneath it all simply want to feel loved and accepted. Am I going along with divisive narratives? Am I choosing to see, connect to the human being within?

Back to the Heart

[4:15] – One of the biggest things we can do to create change and experience change in the world is to…

A) bring it back to ourselves, doing our own internal emotional healing as this on an energetic level helps the collective.

B) Connect to the human heart within everyone.

C) Remember the divinity within.

Taking it Deeper

[5:25] – Everything is made of energy and we’re all part of this collective quantum field. We are what animates the personality and body, not the personality or body itself. Recognise the living breathing essence within yourself and others.

D) Listen to a variety of perspectives and practice discernment. This a key to reclaiming our power. What’s my truth?

Above all

[9:06] – Recap: connect to the physical body, the HUMANESS, connect to the DIVINITY, and in nature, and practice DISCERNMENT.

[9:54] – Often we are so attached to our beliefs because our identity wrapped up in it, and deep within we want to simply be loved which is why it can be hard hearing different opinions.

Step Forward With Courage - Listen to Your Intuition

Step Forward With Courage - Listen to Your Intuition

Welcome to another episode of Creating Change with Emma Bradford!

EPISODE 21: In this episode I share what happened at university and how I went against the advice of my tutors for my final project, risky, though so worth it. Listening to that intuitive knowing within always pays off!

Creating Change

[2:00] - What Creating Change means for me and that it’s not necessarily about goal setting and bringing new things into our life. It’s about seeing what’s already present with a new perspective and reconnecting to the truth of who we are within.

[3:00] - Send your podcast topic requests to info@emmabradford.net.

Intuition

[4:10] - What feels good for YOU? When we ignore out gut feeling we can find ourselves in challenging situations – I learnt the hard way!

What Happened at University

[5:23] - I share a story from university where I listened to my intuition.

[7:11] - My obsession with light and shadow and a particular design I wanted to do and how I went against the advice of tutors at university in my final project that determined my degree results because my intuition said so.

Why I Took a Break from Trainings and Events

[10:43] - Not everyone will understand, not everyone will happy with your choices based on your intuition. Though in the long term you will be happier, healthier and more successful listening to your intuition.

[11:20] - Cycles of life. Expansion and also going in within. Everything within human body, with life are examples of these polarities.

[13:49] - Own fears arising. Feeling emotions arising whilst having that intuitive knowing I was making the right decision. What will people think? How can I manage this financially?

[15:00] – New projects have arisen thanks to listening to my intuition. If you’re signed up to my email list, you’ll get these new insights straight into your inbox every month... https://emmabradford.us8.list-manage.com/subscribe?u=e15464925be59c7078b766fb3&id=2f1c8644d8.

Practical Tip

[16:40] - Start by paying attention to what is going on within the body. Do you feel expansion or contraction? How does your body feel in different situations and with different people? The intuition can come in many different ways, and one of the most common ways is through sensations of the body.

EPISODE 20: Have you felt overwhelmed with the intense fear-based news stories in the world? Do you want to know what’s going whilst reducing your levels of anxiety, stress and not over worry about world events? Life is for living, connecting to what is, right here, right now and things can change dramatically when we choose to create healthy boundaries and continue living life through the heart.

Building Blocks of the Senses

[1:15] - Modalities and Sub Modalities in Neuro Linguistic Programming and how these are used in advertising.

[3:23] – Why knowing about sub modalities is important when we take in news stories and managing our level of overwhelm. There is a difference between seeing moving images compared to reading black and white text in relation to how the mind and emotions are influenced.

Practical Steps to Reduce Overwhelm

[4:20] - What are you currently doing? How can you start reducing or changing how you take in news content?

Bigger Picture

[4:58] - Be mindful about the news channels that you take in information from. In order to get a fuller picture of what’s going on variety is key.

[6:00] - Who funds the news channels that you take information from? Which organisations make large donations behind the scenes? Are there any conflicts of interest? These are all useful questions to ask to be a news informed, critically thinking sovereign human being rather than follow something blindly.

Top Tip

[6:50] - Give yourself a time limit. Everyone has their personal limit, find what works for you.

Break Free of Limitations Using Just a Few Words

Break Free of Limitations Using Just a Few Words

Welcome to another episode of Creating Change with Emma Bradford!

EPISODE 19: Welcome to the magical world of linguistics! Many of you know I have a 10+ year background in working with NLP (Neuro Linguistic Programming) and in this episode I’ll share a few useful tips in shifting negative dialogue and about the power of words. This is a potent one, which when integrated can create epic change.

Stress Enhancing Words

[1:30] - How are you talking about things to yourself and others?

[1:55] - Neuro Linguistic Programming, modal operators in linguistics and noticing how language can affect our emotional state and physiology.

[3:50] - How we create more stress, pressure and anxiety for ourselves using the words should, have to and must.

Changing The Story

[4:30] - Notice difference when just a few words are changed. What transforms as you swap the word SHOULD for COULD, CAN or CHOOSE?

[5:05] - How do you write post it notes to yourself? What language do you use for your to do lists? Personal example how I used language to rewrite my to do lists.

[6:40] - What words help you feel relaxed and clam? What words pile on the pressure?

Power Words

[7:40] – The power of opening questions. WHAT IF there is another way? The unconscious mind is always listening.

[8:52] – I WONDER what gifts you’ll see today?

[10:05] - One of my favourite power words to use… YET and why it’s so powerful.

[11:40] – How do you talk to yourself and about yourself? What words do your place after I AM?

Practical Takeaway

Being a Coach: 5 Powerful Insights From Behind the Scenes

Being a Coach: 5 Powerful Insights From Behind the Scenes

Welcome to another episode of Creating Change with Emma Bradford!

EPISODE 18: A little insight into behind the scenes and a few important lessons I have learnt over the last 10 years of supporting people on their personal growth journey. You don’t need to be a coach or want to be a coach to enjoy this episode as many of these insights are relevant in other professions and life experiences too. Are you a coach? What’s been your biggest insight so far? I’d love to hear!

People Pleasing

[2:10] - One of my hardest lessons to learn… not everyone will like what you do and being a coach important to remember that you’re not meant to work with everyone.

Parental Wounds

[3:35] - Be mindful of unconscious projections. Everyone is human.

Mirrors

[5:40] - Students and clients are the ultimate teachers. And you are a mirror for them.

Behind The Scenes

[7:35] - A very small percentage of working time is actually spent on coaching and teaching.

Evolution

[9:00] Allow your work to grow and evolve as you grow and evolve as a teacher or coach. It’s ok to change.

[10:30] The deeper you go into your own personal growth journey, the deeper you will be able to support clients and students.

[11:21] The biggest personal challenges have given birth to creative new ideas.

5 Points of Connection That Can Change Our Life

5 Points of Connection That Can Change Our Life

Welcome to another episode of Creating Change with Emma Bradford!

EPISODE 15: Here I explain more about the 5 different areas I cover on my training Creating Change: The Art of Expansion, Connection and Celebration. 5 different areas that when we deepen these connections, we can feel even more happiness and fulfilment.

Intro

[1:00] - If you haven’t listened to Episode 2 yet, go back and listen to that first.

[3:00] - Creating Change: The Art of Expansion, Connection and Celebration and what connecting to these 5 points can gift us.

5 Points of Connection

[3:49] - Connecting to something BEYOND OUR IDENTITY. Here I share one of my favourite quotes by author Robert Schwartz “Each of us is a spark of consciousness, in a larger unified consciousness, each a cell in the heart of one divine being”.

[7:12] – Practically speaking… meditation, mindfulness, spiritual practice, prayer or healing mantras. What lies beyond our personal identity? What connects everyone and everything on this planet?

[8:06] – Connecting to the PHYSICAL BODY. Movement, senses, embodiment. Our body is a wonderful vessel to use in this lifetime.

[9:29] – Connecting to OURSELVES. Inner child, personality and our Soul. Discovering the different layers of beliefs, habits, patterns. The internal world of what we have constructed and what we have come into this life with.

[10:50] - What beliefs do I hold? Are they useful? What emotions are present? How can I reparent myself? Practically speaking find a photo of yourself as a child - connect to it every day.

[12:07] - Connecting to OTHERS. Are we connecting to others as the human being or the stories we have about them? All are looking for the same within, to connect to love and belonging.

[13:55] - Connecting to NATURE. We can receive a lot of healing from nature. See, hear, feel the elements.

Summary

[15:14] – Summary of 5 points. Which do you want to deepen further?

Reduce Overwhelm Easily and Effectively

Welcome to another episode of Creating Change with Emma Bradford!

[5:33] - How can we create space amongst what’s necessary and important? What feels good, what doesn’t?

Getting Practical

The Four Levels of Goal Setting

The Four Levels of Goal Setting

Welcome to the Creating Change Podcast with Emma Bradford!

Benefits of Goal Setting and the Hidden Shadows

[2:07] - Moving towards a goal we can learn new skills, grow and evolve on the journey.

[3:00] - Hidden shadow of goal setting is to be in the moment, the present moment. Creating balance between moving forward and appreciating the gifts in the here and now.

Masculine and Feminine Energies in Goal Setting

[4:26] - Masculine direction in life, clarity with where we are going along with the feminine pleasure, feeling and experiences. Nothing to do with genders – talking about the energies.

[5:00] - Take little steps forward and why appreciating the gifts in the present moment is important.

[5:27] - Smart goals… specific, measurable, achievable, realistic/relevant, time bound and how searching for a barbeque spot one summer taught me this.

[6:39] - Looking within the unconscious mind can be useful to clear negative beliefs and how filling in the blank can help uncover hidden limiting beliefs.

Four Levels of Goal Setting

[7:54] - Physical, mental, emotions and spiritual.

[8:37] – PHYSICAL LEVEL: How does the body feel? What is the physical body communicating?

[9:29] – EMOTIONAL AND MENTAL LEVEL: Identifying beliefs and emotions that could be blocking us.

[10:50] - Internal conflicts… is this goal for us and only us? Or is this for someone else? Do I have any conflicting values? What feeling am I looking for? What’s the goal beyond the goal?

[13:20] - SPIRITUAL LEVEL: What is my Soul’s desire? Am I listening to the whispers of my Soul?

[15:59] – The scared science of numbers and how it can help us with goal setting. Wholehearted goal setting.

[18:50] – One of the biggest keys… having love and gratitude for all that we have and all that we are already.

The Hidden Gifts of Anger, Sadness and Fear

Welcome to another episode of the Creating Change Podcast with Emma Bradford!

EPISODE 8: In today’s episode I share a few insights into what are emotions, how we benefit and the gifts we can find specifically through anger, sadness and fear. Emotions are our messengers for growth, creative expression and so much more.

What Are Emotions?

How Beliefs Play a Role

[4.14] - Our beliefs about emotions influence our experience of emotions.

[5.18] – Consequences of not expressing emotions can include increased anxiety, panic attacks, physical symptoms. This is one of the main reasons why I experienced panic attacks in the past.

Finding the Gifts

[7.27] - Emotions are messengers, they’re giving us a message and a metaphor that I like to use to describe emotions.

[8.49] – Find a constructive creative expression.

[8.53] - Gifts of anger include increased self-esteem, healthy boundaries and much more.

[10.06] - Gifts of sadness includes connection, understanding as demonstrated in the film Inside Out.
