Episode 70 - Georgia

This week we are back in Georgia! Amber's back in California so we aren't in person in this week :(

But, Amber comes at us with 2 really great stories this week. First she tells us about the death of Gwendolyn Moore that wasn't really investigated for 30 years. Then she tells us about the disappearance of Fred Wilkerson. Both of these incidents happened in the same small town, both of these peoples remains were found in a well, and both of these cases were solved by the same hero

This week Amber and Maggie just talk about ourselves! We answer some questions from fans (aka Maggie's Mom) and some of our own questions about different true crime subjects.

Episode 60 - Alaska

This week we are switching stuff up a bit, we're only giving you 1 story this week. We've decided our episodes are getting pretty long and we don't get to talk to each other as much as we'd like when we're both trying to tell an interesting tale.

So, this week Maggie is telling Amber the story of Papa Pilgrim in Alaska. Papa Pilgrim was basically a giant piece of trash that people should have paid a lot more attention to. His family searched to find the perfect place to live their old school pilgrim lifestyle, and they found it for quite a while. But thanks to the harshness of living in Alaska Papa Pilgrims true nature was revealed.

This week we're back in the US and starting alphabetically! We're going through Alabama again.

Amber starts us off with the story of twins Betty Wilson and Peggy Lowe, and the murder of Jack Wilson, Betty's husband of 14 years.

Then Maggie tells us about Nannie Doss, the giggling granny. A sweet old lady with a lot of tragedy in her past? Or, something more sinister? Dun! Dun! Duuuun!!!

This week we're in Germany and France before we journey back to the US.

Maggie starts us off with the story of Mata Hari. She was an exotic dancer and a courtesan, but was she a spy? Or a scapegoat?

Then Amber tells us about Volker Eckert, a European serial killer whose crimes span from 1974 to 2006!

This week we're in jolly ol' England! Or not so jolly in our case.

Amber starts us off with something a little different this week! She gives us a brief summary on the history of the Broadmoor Hospital and some of the people who have lived there.

Maggie then tells us about Kate Webster "The Female Sweeney Todd" and the murder of Julia Martha Thomas.

Episode 56 - Canada

This week we head north! We're visiting Canada, land of maple leaves and hockey...

TW: Maggie starts us off with a terrible story of the "Ideal Maternity Home and Sanitarium". There's baby murder and it's awful, so if that's not your thing skip the first like 40 minutes of this episode.

Amber then tells us about Mark Twitchell and his weird dreams of making horror films and bringing them to life.

Ambre starts us off this week in New Zealand and tells us about the disappearance of Michelle Hoffman-Tamm and the involvement of her long time friend/new-ish friend with benefits?

Maggie then brings us over to Australia and tells us about the Razor Gang Queens of the 1920's, Tilly Devine and Kate Leigh.

This week we're exploring the islands and islets of Puerto Rico! We both didn't know anything about Puerto Rico before this so we tried to learn something before diving into the criminal world.

Amber starts us off with the story of Felix Verdejo, a professional boxer, and the murder of his pregnant mistress Keishla Rodriguez

Then Maggie tells us about the Black Widow of Puerto Rico, Áurea Vázquez-Rijos, and the murder of Adam Anhang.

Maggie starts us off with an infuriating story about privilege and murder with the story of Grace Fortescue and the murder of Joe Kahahawai.

Then Amber tells us about Randall Saito and his escape from a mental hospital after committing a horrible crime.

Episode 50 - Alaska

This week we bundle up and head to Alaska! It's our 50th episode!!!

Amber starts us off with the random murder of 4 teenagers in Russian Jack Springs Park. This case sparked rapid changes to the Alaskan laws around mental incompetence and guilt.

Then Maggie tells us about serial killer Robert Hansen also known as the "Butcher Baker". Between 1971 and 1983 Robert Hansen abducted raped and murdered at least 17 women and attacked many more.

This week we are finishing up the lower 48 in Maine! Maggie tried recording in a different location on a different mic and the audio is not our best, apologies.

Maggie starts us off with the story of Bernard Patterson and The Great Mars Hill Bank Robbery. Bernard lived a fascinating life and it is quite a story!

Amber then tells us about Thayne Ornsby who brutally murdered 3 people and no one really knows why.

Maggie starts us off with the story of Dana Martin, a murderer and rapist who plotted more heinous crimes from prison.

Amber then tells us about the murder of 78 year old Robert Schreiner in his own driveway. Who would want to kill a 78 year old cancer survivor?

Episode 46 - Massachusetts

This week we are in Massachusetts! We throw some tea in the harbor and witch it up in Salem and then we explore some crimes.

Amber starts us off with the story of the Murder in Room 406. It's an old timey case and the man imprisoned for the crime was tried solely on circumstantial evidence. Was it enough?

Then Maggie tells the (probably well known) story of Daniel LaPlante. This story is crazy and takes a very sinister turn.

Episode 45 - Rhode Island

This week we're heading through the smallest state and learning about some big criminals!

Maggie starts us off with the story of a con-woman. And Maggie is kinda cheating this week because the con-woman Dana Lawrence is actually only in Rhode Island a little bit, but she moved a lot she was hard to pin down.

Amber then tells us about the awful murders in a small Rhode Island neighborhood and the surprising perpetrator to the crimes.

Amber starts us off with a literal nightmare of a story... Her dogs also make an appearance in this weeks episode and someone may have followed her home from the grocery store.

Maggie then tells us about the death? of Madison Rutherford.

New York, New York! The Big Apple, the nation's former capital, one of the original 13 colonies! And there was a lot of crime to pick from.

Maggie starts us off with the twisted story of Barbara and Tony Baekeland. This story's got a little bit of everything. Drugs, drinking, cheating, fighting, incest... murder.... *yikes*

Then Amber tells us about the Son of Sam who was a serial killer seemingly targeting young girls in New York in the 70s, who neither of us really knew anything about.

This week we're in Maryland - or, America in Miniature as it is known.

Amber starts us off this week with 2 shorter stories this week. She starts with the story of Lara Crockett Muscolino and her husband Ricardo. Lara was having an affair and Ricardo didn't handle it very well... Then Amber gives us a short story on ANOTHER reptile alien cult like situation.

Maggie then tells us about Joseph Palczynsky who was a serial domestic abuser, and loved teenage girls, and it really was just a matter of time until he killed someone.

This week we're in our nation's capital, Washington D.C.

Maggie does her old timey thing and tells us about Dan and Teresa Sickles and how they dealt with Teresa's infidelity.

Amber then tells us about Banita Jacks and the disappearance of her children over a period of several months without anyone doing much to look into it.

Episode 38 - Pennsylvania

This week we're in PA! Amber starts us off with Sherry Shriner, the leader of a reptile alien online cult and her "coincidental" connection to several mysterious deaths.

Then Maggie tells us about The Biddle Brothers. It's an old timey case, with a love affair and a jail escape!

Ambers story this week is about the murder of Sylvia Likens and it's really terrible. This poor girl was abused to the extreme and it gets pretty graphic.

Maggie then tells us about one of America's first female serial killers Belle Gunness, black widow, arsonist, poisoner and so much more.

Episode 34 - West Virginia

West Virginia gives us some real doozies this week!

Amber starts us off with a bad story that just gets worse and worse... We learn about the odd relationship between Larry McClure and his daughters, and how they're strange bond led to the murder of John McGuire

Then Maggie takes us back to the 1920s and the original Catfisher - Harry Powers, or Herman Drenth, or Cornelius O. Pierson.
