We have expectations for our spouses, our friends, our children, the holidays, our birthdays, or even our church. The truth is that often reality does not live up to the expectation! But, here is what we can know: the only ONE who can live up to the expectation is God! And so, we pray and wait in hope and expectation. We expect God to move in our lives, in the lives of others and in our church. We expect God to speak. We expect God to make dead things alive. We expect to see prodigals come home. We expect God to change us because of His Word. We expect God to do BIG things in our church this year! Expectation! He’s good, and He’s good for it! So, don’t lower your expectations of God; raise them and join us in a year of EXPECTATION.
