Kitty lived a wonderful life in New York in 1964. She was a successful bartender, drove a bright red Fiat and had a girlfriend she was very in love with. They'd just gotten a puppy named Andrew. Then tragically, in March 13, 1964 she was attached outside her apartment building. Many people heard her cries for help, including a close friend, but the police weren't called in time. This case highlights something known as the bystander effect. Join us as we explore this case.

In 1975, when Travis Walton was 22 years old, he was at work in a national forest in Arizona with a crew of six other men, thinning trees. Everything proceeded as normal and they began the long drive home when Travis saw a bright light in the trees. When the driver of the truck saw the light too, he stopped. Travis jumped out of the car and ran towards the light. The six other men, his co workers, watched as a flying saucer shot a light out of it that hit Travis, sending him reeling to the ground. Thinking him dead, they drove off, terrified. Travis was missing for five days. Was this all a hoax or did Travis really have a close encounter?

Langston Hughes, famous poet, wrote about the amazing life and accomplishments of civil rights activist Harry Moore who was tragically murdered on Christmas Day in 1951 along with his loving wife of 25 years, Harriette. On December 24th, 2008 in Covina, a suburb of Los Angeles, nine people were killed either by being shot or by being burned to death. The killer? How the Boulder PD Made The Jonbenet Case Unsolvable: In this episode, Lillian goes over the mistakes, negligence, and malice of the Boulder police department in one of the most famous unsolved murder cases in American History. Six year old Jonbenet Ramsey was murdered either on Christmas of 1996 or the day after. A ransom note was found on the staircase in her home by her mother at 5:30am. Jonbenet's body was found in the basement of the home at 1:30-1:40pm by her father.
