Stepping Out in Spirit with Rev. Cassandra Rae
Rev. Cassandra Rae is a blessing to our CSL White Rock community and to me personally. In her compassionate and loving manner, Rev. Cassandra has spent the last 12 months nudging me closer to Truth: helping me learn the value of sacred self-care, deepening my understanding of spiritual principles, growing my spiritual practice, releasing judgment of myself and others, and embracing unconditional love. This week, in her talk, Stepping Out in Spirit, Rev. Cassandra enriches us further. She writes: "Life/Love/God/Spirit is living out its perfect Life as us.  It is knowing more of Itself as us. The only way that Spirit has of bringing forth our vision of a world that works for everyone is through us. Spirit is 100% engaged with us.  The question is: Are WE 100% engaged with Spirit? This does NOT mean pulling away and creating an enclave. This means stepping out in Spirit." Embracing Life, Love, and Joy, Sherry Dolejsi Board Chair

Savanna invites us into the exploration of a compassionate heart and the power of love to transform any challenge.

Living in the Flow with Rev. Cassandra Rae
The very first day I attended a Sunday Gathering at CSL White Rock, six years ago, I knew I had found ‘the Thing’ I had been seeking for three decades. For as long as I can remember, I always believed in God; I just could not reconcile my understanding of an unconditionally loving God with the wrathful, vengeful, angry, punitive, judgmental God, about Whom I was being force-fed. The joy I get now, from knowing the Truth of God and the truth of who I am, fills my days. I organize my life around learning and understanding the Truth: attending Sunday Gatherings, workshops, courses; reading books, and expanding my spiritual practice. My joy is immeasurable – even during this time of Covid-19. While I continue to learn and grow my spiritual practice based on the spiritual principles I have embraced – Love, Peace, Perfect Health, Wisdom, Abundance, Grace, and Joy, I must confess that I still carry residual guilt around the idea of Prosperity and whether or not I am worthy of this. So, Rev. Cassandra Rae’s Sunday talk guided me in releasing my self-limiting beliefs around Prosperity. Rev. Cassandra writes, ‘We live in an abundantly rich Universe. And yet, how does that translate into our personal experience? We believe that the source of financial health and prosperity come from within and that each one of us can tap into it. Join us as we explore the foundational principles that empower our prosperity!’ Embracing Love and Prosperity for you, Sherry Dolejsi Board Chair

THERE IS A CALLING with Rev. Cassandra and Guest Amber Darland
Almost a year has passed since we all enjoyed Amber Darland’s beautiful opening song for Amy Bishop at our Nov. 1st, 2019 Fundraiser. AND for several months now, we have been jivin’ to her toe-tappin’, spirit-lovin’ audio recording played at the end of our Zoom-in Sunday Gatherings. Her heartful, inspired, and spiritually infused songs stir your soul and put a smile on your face. So, this Sunday we are gifted with spirit-enhancing, heart-opening wisdom, AND a LIVE CONCERT! We are thrilled to welcome Amber Darland live! Amber Darland is singing and speaking this Sunday! She performs 5 songs from her latest album titled There’s a Calling and instead of a traditional talk, and Rev. Cassandra askes Amber questions. They explore themes like living your purpose, self-acceptance, letting go of what no longer serves you, and cultivating the courage to follow your heart. The conversation starts almost immediately so turn up the volume so that you don't miss a thing! Visit Amber Darland at: Knowing Love, Self-Care, Courage and Joy for you Sherry Dolejsi Board Chair

HARVESTING GRATITUDE with Rev. Cassandra Rae & Our Outstanding Practitioners
Happy Thanksgiving Weekend! CSL White Rock is blessed with Amazing Practitioners! You may notice that I seldom mention the word Practitioner without preceding it with a descriptive adjective: incredible, fantastic, fabulous, wonderful, magnificent, marvelous...Why is that, you may ask? Well, aside from their dedication to years and endless hours of study and training to become Licensed Practitioners; aside from their unending, selfless, service to our Centre; aside from their personal and generous tithing, back to our Centre, of their time, talent, and treasure; aside from their soul-enriching meditations and affirmative prayers for our members; aside from their community-supporting meetups; aside from their continuous ‚‘Yes!‘ to all requests to actively support, run, and participate in fundraisers; aside from their dedication as facilitators, presiders, and greeters in all manner of functions, in person and online; and everything else of which I am unaware of their other works of heart and soul...well... As a member of the Board of Trustees for the past four years, I know that none of our out-going payments, except for classes that they may offer and teach, goes to our Unbelievably, Incredible Practitioners. I have more questions than answers about the generosity, dedication, and love these Precious Practitioners gift to us. This week, they were running our Sunday Gathering with Harvesting Gratitude: ‘Welcome to this plentiful time of year where the harvest of the past season comes to life. What does harvesting gratitude mean to you? Come join the Practitioners on Thanksgiving weekend as we together embrace the balance of giving and receiving our abundance.’ Love and Gratitude  Sherry Dolejsi Board Chair Follow CSL White Rock: ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ ✅ Subscribe our YouTube at: ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ ✅ Gather with us every Sunday at 10:30 AM Pacific - details at : ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ ✅ Get your free workbook 3 Steps to Strengthen Your Intuition on our website at: ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ ✅ Like us on Facebook: ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ ✅ Follow us on Instagram: ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ ✅ Donation: ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ ✅ Website: ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ You can reach us at: 📧 -

Unleashing Your Creative Power by Rev. Cassandra Rae
As a non-subscriber to cable TV, I have been on a quest for many years to find a replacement for my beloved Oprah. Well, I am officially announcing that I have found someone! Someone authentic, who speaks the Truth and buoys me up to my highest and best. Someone who walks-the-talk and opens my mind and heart to Possibilities I never imagined on my own. Someone who inspires me to grow, thrive, and flourish. Someone who delves deep into difficult topics with heart and courage and has an amazing book club. After almost one year, Rev. Cassandra Rae has more than demonstrated that I can stop my search. Who needs cable anyways when the real deal is here in person? YES! Move over Oprah, Rev. Cassandra Rae is in the house!  Look what she has planned for this week...  Unleashing Your Creative Power is Rev. Cassandra Rae's topic for Sunday. She writes:  'Where does your creative power come from? And how can you tap into it? Join us as we delve into the principles and practices that open us up to receive the gifts of Spirit and be of service to the world.'    Also, this 4th week of LIVE MUSIC, we were entertained by the wonderfully upbeat, positive, and heart-centered sounds of Nathen Aswell. And, yes, as the proud owner of two of Nathen's CDs, I admit to being biased. See for yourself on Sunday and here:    Listen to the talk, get ready to be inspired by our one-of-a-kind Rev. Cassandra Rae and you're welcome to join us every Sunday morning.   Embracing Possibility and Creative Power    Sherry Dolejsi  Board Chair

Where We Go When We Die by Rev. Cassandra Rae
Where We Go When We Die...?!!! Prior to 6 years ago, I understood the two places where 'good' and 'bad' people go - and they both start with the letter 'H.' In 2014, my understanding of Where We Go When We Die shifted entirely when I began attending the Centre for Spiritual Living White Rock. We are approaching the one-year mark since our wonderfully insightful, deeply compassionate, and profoundly thinking Spiritual Director, Reverend Cassandra Rae, joined our CSL White Rock family. She fearlessly dives into topics outside of my comfort zone. Although my trust in her ability to handle this tender topic is unshakeable, I do intend to have my 'blankey' nearby. Listening to the passionate, heart-centered, authentic message of Rev. Cassandra is always an uplifting experience. With summoned courage and deep intrigue, I had a chance to find out Where We Go When We Die. Rev. Cassandra writes: 'Do you ever wonder what happens after you die? In Parker Palmer’s latest book, On the Brink of Everything: Grace, Gravity, and Getting Old, he shares his answer. Join us as we courageously delve into this age-old exploration. With curiosity and heart, perhaps we can arrive at an answer that just might enhance the way we live.' Knowing deep Courage and intriguing Curiosity for you, Sherry Dolejsi Board Chair

I like to remind myself, 'Age does not define me.' It bears repeating and I like the sound of it. My emotional high, when I tried paddleboarding for the first time in my life this summer, lasted for weeks. Although it means I miss our Practitioner Guided Meditations...(sigh), my Wednesday morning line-dancing class never fails to lift my spirit. Sadly, Covid-19 did shut down my weekly pool volleyball game and I am confident that in the not-too-distant future, I can add this back into my schedule. Retirement has gifted me with the time I need to begin imagining all the possibilities: what do you there a senior's rate for ziplining? I am excited to hear Rev. Cassandra Rae's always-thoughtful, always-inspired ideas on this 'hot' topic, as she delves into COLLABORATING WITH AGING. She asks: 'What is your experience with aging? How do you cope with the changes inside and all around you? Parker Palmer says, “The laws of nature that dictate the sunset dictate our demise. But how we travel the arc between our own sunrise and sundown is ours to choose: Will it be denial, defiance, or collaboration?” Join us as we explore collaborating with life and with aging.' Check out our latest talk "COLLABORATING WITH AGING" by Rev. Cassandra Rae. Knowing you are defined by Love and endless Possibility, Sherry Dolejsi Board Chair

Sunday is Grandparent’s Day! On a California vacation, almost 5 decades ago, I met a couple who reported that 'Grandparenting is the best club in the world!' Today, my blessings are vast and top of the list are my 3 Grandchildren: Violet, 12, enrolled in high school this week!!! Theoren, 11,  started grade 7, and Harlo, 9, began grade 5! Just thinking of them brightens my day and a phone call from them feels like winning the lottery! As is her practice, Rev. Cassandra has chosen a timely topic for Grandparent's Day: CREATIVE ENGAGEMENT ACROSS GENERATIONS. On this she writes, 'Parker Palmer says, “When young and old are connected like the poles of a battery, the power that’s released enlivens both parties and helps light up the world.” Joining the generations is sacred for old and young alike. What can we learn when we creatively engage across the ages?' Knowing Limitless Love and Possibility for you,  Sherry Dolejsi Board Chair

Taking a Leap of Faith with Rev. Karen Cleveland
This week we will be TAKING A LEAP OF FAITH with guest speaker Rev. Karen Cleveland as she examines:  'What is faith, and what does it mean to take a leap in faith? Or to walk in faith? Faith moves mountains, but we must have it first, and have complete confidence in our approach to it.' Rev. Karen is returning to us from Snohomish County, the place, we learned last June, where the proliferation of 'antique shops is of no interest to looters.' Yes, Rev. Karen's humour is understated and ever-present, along with her amazingly thoughtful, introspective thinking. Take a leap of faith with Rev. Karen Cleveland this Sunday as she presents the Truth and the Oneness we know and embrace.  With eyes and arms open wide, Sherry Dolejsi Board Chair

Moving Forward with Authentic Connection with Rev Cassandra Rae
It is so tempting to avoid or ignore that which is painful, hard, or not wanted. We can even use spiritual principles to avoid the hard stuff! But, pretending that something isn’t there doesn’t actually make it go away. Check out this talk from Rev. Cassandra as we wrap up our series on Everyday Ubuntu: Living Better Together, the African Way by Mungi Ngomane, and learn principles and practices to help us face reality so that we can make meaningful progress individually and collectively.   Here’s what I have discovered; when Rev. C employs the word ‘authentic,’ it often translates into ‘this is gonna be a spiritual workout  A N D you’ll be soooo glad you came!’   So excited to embrace ALL this and More for you,    Sherry Dolejsi  Board Chair

Self-care is Community-care
In the past, my incredibly limited understanding of self-care meant three shamefully decadent and time-wasting behaviors: a visit to the hairdresser; polishing my nails; and a candle-lit, scented soak in the tub. Self-care translated to me as selfish. For the past 10 months, with Rev. Cassandra as my-self-proclaimed-mentor-in-all-things-self-care, I recognize how very limiting and harmful my beliefs were – not only to myself but to those I love around me.  ‘Life has many demands. Schedules can be very full. And yet, if we don't take the time to fill our cup, then we might find ourselves consistently running on empty. This week we continue our deep dive into Everyday Ubuntu: Living Better Together, the African Way by Mungi Ngomane where we examine the connection between caring for the self and caring for others. How you treat yourself is the foundation for how you treat others just like how you treat others will impact how you feel about yourself. Check out our talk this week as Rev. Cassandra Rae shared a vulnerable and emotional story about her divine love. Embracing Love, Wisdom, and Joy for you, Sherry Dolejsi Board Chair

You Can't Walk on Water Until You Get Out of the Boat
Last September, I picked up Reverend Doug Craig at the Abbotsford Airport and was fortunate enough to have him as a guest for two high-energy, fascinating days of non-stop conversation. His in-person talk in our CSL White Rock hall, ‘Living Your Heart’s Desire,’ was so popular that it resulted in his workshop, ‘Moving Forward,’ to be full of intrigued, furiously-note-taking fans.  In fact, I still refer to Rev. Doug’s ‘Tool Kit’ on my cellphone’s note-taking app. I was in awe to know that he was flying home to Calgary to prepare for his incredibly booked-up Christmas season career as a professional Santa Claus. His life and stories are so rich in experiences and intriguing that I know I will be first in line to purchase his book - should he ever decide to write one.   I encourage you to listen to his insight, wisdom, and candid truth with great interest and enthusiasm – pen and notepaper ready. I encourage you to make time for his talk ... and you may want to take notes. How thankful I am that we now record all our talks so we can serve you better.   Knowing Love, Faith, and Possibilities for you,   Sherry Dolejsi  Board Chair

Ubuntu: A South African teaching to bring us together
Welcome to August! Finally, my curiosity, over all the teasers pointing to our new book-of-the-month and this unusual word 'unbuntu,' will be satisfied.   Rev. Cassandra says, 'This month we are exploring Inclusion in Action - how each one of us can be a healing presence in the world - by delving into Everyday Ubuntu: Living Better Together, the African Way by Mungi Ngomane. She writes, “If you can face adversity and oppression, and hold on to ubuntu and live it in your daily life, you will experience the best way to overcome division.” Join us to discover how ubuntu can help you see yourself and others in new and empowering ways that lay the foundation for the connections you desire.'   Knowing Peace and Joy for you,   Sherry Dolejsi  Board Chair

The TAO of Freedom
We are absolutely thrilled this week to welcome back Rev. Dr. Nadene Rogers. For those of us who remember, Rev. Nadene took the hold of the reigns of CSL White Rock, as our Interim Minister, in January of last year. From January to October of 2019, Rev. Nadene whipped our flagging minister-less Leadership and Centre into one worthy of acquiring a suitable Senior Minister to guide us. I am so grateful for this powerful, poised, and professional leader because without her we would never have attracted the right and perfect Spiritual Director, our very own Rev. Cassandra Rae, who inspires us and grows our Centre with such insight, heart, and wisdom. We are so blessed! Speaking on The Tao of Freedom, Rev. Nadene says, ‘Eastern and Western faith traditions speak to the concept of freedom. When we weave these concepts together, we become more aware of the “self” in order to release the self. This is the common path we all must travel, to live from our divine humanity. Within an ever-evolving sense of self, a constant innate desire to be free remains active. As we ‘include and transcend’ through the art of acceptance and the act of self-determination, we are freed.’ Knowing Love and Freedom for you, Sherry Dolejsi Board Chair

The Truth Will Set You Free
Rev. Cassandra writes: ‘Truth has an energy and a life of its own. Truth inevitably rises to the surface. We strive to reconcile our human truth with our Divine Truth and in that knowing we are set free. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. said, “I believe that unarmed truth and unconditional love will have the final word in reality.” How do we live this idea today? And how do we let it set us free?’ Tune in and enjoy the talk this week. Blessings of unarmed Truth and unconditional Love to you, Sherry Dolejsi Board Chair

None Are Free Until All Are Free
Rev. Cassandra writes, 'While we know, understand, and love using spiritual principles for our personal experience, how do we apply our teaching to the collective? How does my freedom relate to our freedom and vice versa? And ultimately, how do we live the truth of our Oneness in today’s world? Join us as we explore the interconnectedness of all people through our shared humanity as well as our mutual divinity. ’ I know I will be leaning in with notepaper and pen to capture every bit of understanding about this vastly impactful topic. I look forward to seeing you there. Claiming shared humanity, mutual divinity, and freedom for all, Sherry Dolejsi Board Chair

Free At Last with Rev. Cassandra Rae
Unchained Spirituality is our powerful theme for July and in the place of our book of the month Rev. Cassandra will be shining a light on the speeches and writings of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Here is the description for tomorrow’s talk, Free at Last! ‘In 1963 at the March on Washington for Jobs and Freedom, Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. concluded his now famous “I Have a Dream” speech with the declaration, “Free at last! Free at last! Thank God Almighty, we are free at last!” He also said, “1963 is not an end, but a beginning.” 57 years later let us look toward his prophetic vision of freedom and justice as he continues to inspire and teach us how to use spiritual principles to realize his dream of freedom for all.’ How blessed we are to be led by Rev. Cassandra who lovingly guides us toward daring to face the challenging truths of our time and inspires us with the highest and best knowledge of Truth. Broken Open
The goal of spiritual living isn’t to eradicate pain or to only look at the positive. It is to be consciously aware of what’s unfolding knowing that everything has the potential to reveal your spiritual magnificence. Healing is inevitable when we allow it. Referenced in the talk: Broken Open Blog Steve Colori author of Experiencing and Overcoming Schizoaffective Disorder Elizabeth Lesser author of Broken Open Questions for reflection: What do you have faith in? Are you willing to accept it for yourself? What are you willing to release? What are you willing to embrace? What are you willing to trust? Quotes for social media: “Faith is built up from belief, acceptance, and trust.” ~ Ernest Holmes "My faith in my ability to improve gave me hope.”  ~ Steve Colori Fear is an acronym for face everything and rise "While I am never safe from breaking, I am always protected by spirit." - Elizabeth Lesser “When you feel yourself breaking down, may you break open instead. May every experience in life be a door that opens your heart, expands your understanding, and leads you to freedom. If you are weary, may you be aroused by passion and purpose. If you are blameful and bitter, may you be sweetened by hope and humor. If you are frightened, may you be emboldened by a big consciousness far wiser than you fear. If you are lonely, may you find love, may you find friendship. If you are lost, may you understand that we are all lost, and still we are guided – by Strange Angels and Sleeping Giants, by our better and kinder natures, by the vibrant voice within the beat. May you follow that voice, for This is the way – the hero’s journey, the life worth living, the reason we are here.” – Elizabeth Lesser in Broken Open p. 276 Cassandra Rae, spiritual director Centre for Spiritual Living White Rock

The Power that Creates Everything
New Year Practices for Enlightened Living Many of us have a negative association with the word ‘God.’ We remember childhood lessons of a male God living in the sky that looks down upon us, judges us and answers prayer if we’re good enough. But, what if God is simply the power that creates everything? And what if that power were available for you? As we begin a new year (and a new decade!) let’s delve into spiritual truth where each one of us chooses who and what God means to us. Rev Cassandra Rae
