444: What companies can offer loyalty programs?
Loyalty programs can be highly beneficial to companies and consumers, which make them a great strategy in my book. Everyone wins or can win. Probably most known are airline loyalty programs, which have offered free flights and later other things in return for repeat business. The coffee punch cards are another example. Get a free coffee after buying 10. But can every company run a loyalty program? Every is a strong word, but there's probably more than do today. I mean, even my gas station now has a sophisticated program. Read next: What turns a repeat customer into a loyal customer? In this episode, I discuss: What are loyalty programs? How can loyalty programs work best? Why do consumers use them? Biggest advantages for businesses What companies could run loyalty programs? 441: What’s the best time frame to measure content performance?
How to measure content performance is certainly an ongoing discussion. Yes, we want it to help us drive leads and we want it to help us drive conversions. But at the end of the day if nobody looks at our content it can’t reach any goals - no matter what they are. We want content to perform and we need it to perform. Because if it doesn’t why are we even creating it? So how should we measure that performance? I’ve tried a number of different ways to try to measure performance. By day, by week and even by month. Just follow the standard calendar time frames. Every way has its positives and negatives. The way that I have seen work the best is the 30-day rolling model. I discuss this in this episode. Read this related article: https://www.christophtrappe.com/measure-content-performance/

440: When to use acronyms in your content
When should we use acronyms in our content? Seems like a simple question that isn't asked often. I see it all the time, unfortunately: Articles full of alphabet soup. Every chance the writer gets, they'll use acronyms. Nonstop. All the time. Now, I don't want to overstate things here. There's a place to use acronyms when they are globally understood and sometimes we don't even know they are acronyms. For example, laser is an acronym that stands for light amplification by stimulated emission of radiation, according to the AP Stylebook. But let's dive into things here one step at a time: What are acronyms? Why do writers use them? The reason not to use them. Read more about the topic here: http://christoptrappe.com/acronyms
