Episode 71: Not Leaving Wallen 'Nough Alone

Episode 71: Not Leaving Wallen 'Nough Alone

My guest this week in studio is Harley Wallen, some of you might remember Harley from the interview I did with him. He's an Actor, Director, Ex MMA fighter...He owns and operates Painted Creek Productions, a film studio here in the dirty mitten that he and his wife Kaiti founded.

Harley is a very accomplished man, when I asked him what he wanted to talk about and he said current events...I have to admit I was a little surprised.

Normally with you entertainment industry people, you steer clear of hot button issues and topics. You don't want to cause hot water for your guest.

However, since we had done the interview thing and we clicked so well. We decided to throw caution to the wind and cover what's been in the news.

It tied in well to both the articles I wrote this week too. Will Smith Is Ruining My Career and Predators Welcome, To Harassment Park. I also watched the Johnny Depp v Amber Heard trial this week. So I wanted to touch on that too.

We got our first Captain Ron Report from the Bros. Martin on tour! All the music in this episode is from local Michigan artists.

The #CultOfOdd returns from a 2 week sickness hiatus. Odd is swinging for the fences in this episode.

He and his trusty cohost Ace are dissecting and discussing the social and political subtext within some of the most popular #horrormovies.

Ever wonder what your favorite classic #horror movie might be hiding beneath the torture implements, splatter gore, zombies and cannibalistic families.

Presented in a similar style to our Lessons Yet Learned series, They'll be giving their findings and opinions.

Episode 63: Lessons Yet Learned - Rodney King

In this episode we take a departure from the normal comedy and interviews, we're doing in order to tackle a topic that carries weight to this day.
We present both fact and opinion here, but we make sure to draw clear lines between fact and opinion.

We're starting a new series of episodes called Lessons Yet Learned, where we'll be covering things the society seems to be blatantly ignoring. Despite years of having it staring us in the face. Odd Man debated on this being the first one for a while. He reached out to several close friends, about covering the topic and how to present it without seeming like we are cashing in on suffering.#RacismStillExists and #policebrutalities continue. We track back to an event that sends a beacon of light up to not be ignored. The horrific beating of #RodneyKing and what followed in the years to come.

Music from
Damo The Great - Wetwork (https://www.facebook.com/downriverking)
The Prime Eights - Black Magic (https://www.facebook.com/theprimeeights)
Blowbyborna - Molllly (https://www.facebook.com/Blowbyborna)
Hook - I Want To See You Tonight (https://www.facebook.com/listentohook)Wildstreet - Born To Be (https://www.facebook.com/wildstreetnyc)
Chimela - Walk Away (no link to be found)

Episode 27: What We Fear

Our fears are often powerful motivators in life. They drive us to be cautious and to take more care in our daily routines. Some fears though, are unavoidable and can sometimes be crippling. The boy asked the question "What is it you fear most in life?" The share the responses that got and their own personal fears in this episode.

Our Featured Artist for the month of April is
Hook, a new wave rock band from Dublin, Ireland. Their sound fuses new wave with punk and grunge. They just released Best Days, a brand new single. The song features Hook’s signature 80’s new wave rock sound. With a simple guitar line and more active bass that pops out between chords, the drums are simple and almost drum-machine like. Hook wanted to capture a sense of nervousness and foreboding. The song features harmonics, distorted sounds, panned elements, representing what’s going on is in the narrator’s head and what they are feeling. Things are confusing and unclear and their mind is clouded.

Episode 26: My, My , My Bro Caught The Rona

Episode 26: My, My , My Bro Caught The Rona

The Corona Virus has befallen The House of Odd.

So this week, Ollie (Odd's wife) joins him as cohost. They are burnt out and frustrated with not being able to work and function, but they manage to make a goodtime out of things. Odd is also on a 3 day ban from Facebook over their mega nannying ways.

Odd and Ace are back, finally after two weeks of problems.

This week Odd is frustrated with the state of Michigan and their total lack of functionality for state systems. The boys talk about Godzilla V Kong briefly, as well as Odd buying a chainsaw. Riveting stuff!

The title of the show comes from the newest piece of merch up on

Episode 24: All Rotten

Episode 24: All Rotten

We're checking the Geneva convention rules to see if Odd subjecting Ace to certain movies is a violation of engagement. Until we have confirmation, the movies will continue.

In this episode we talk about Odd's adventures Door Dashing, a video game called
Wreckfest...where you can race a Sofa that's been suped up and then finally we talk about a movie starring Corin Nemec. It's based on a Source Point Press comic called Rottentail. The movie is a trip and a great addition to any horror collection. Highly stylized to look like a comic panel in every scene. Full of rubber monsters, blood, one liners and gross humor. It's almost like a love letter to all those great off the wall movies from the 80's when pulp horror was King!

Our good friend Robert Louis Jr., who was our featured artist last month. Has his song called "Hey Marlena" in a scene towards the end of the movie. He recently re-released his 1st album This Ain't Nowhere

This month's Featured Artist is Jordan Allen and the Bellwethers
