Episode 149: "The "Shanelle" Bag" (w/ Derek Gaines aka Amerika)

Episode 149: "The "Shanelle" Bag" (w/ Derek Gaines aka Amerika)

It's been quite a while since we've sat across from a guest who lives so heavily in the social media comedy space; 84 episodes ago to be exact. Everybody loves a good laugh and within the last the last 5-10 years the internet has been completely undefeated. During that time, there have been some emerging talents within our own city who have made a name for themselves whether it be from online skits, stand-up, and even films. Amongst those names, one of the stand outs have been Derek Gaines who often goes by his alias "Amerika". Starting off with an assortment of hilarious skits with some of his friends, the Roxbury native was able to build a sizable following in and outside of The Commonwealth. Leaving home for growth worked in his favor as he's also been able to create some pretty cool relationships with other entertainers and even manages some of the day-to-day operations for Mona from "Dont Call Me White Girl" podcast (who was previously a co-host on Gillie & Wallo's "Million Dollars Worth Of Game" podcast).

It's been a long time coming but we definitely wanted to give Amerika his flowers and catch some rec all while getting to know the comedian some more. Join Charlie MaSheen, Shanelle Shanté, and KASH as they host Derek Gaines and talk about his start in comedy skits, why Mona would come for Mattapan the way she recently did on her podcast, how Shanelle could potentially ruin a bag for us, ALL LADIES NEED TO STAY AWAY FROM THE GUY WHO CREATD "MOE MONEY PROMOTIONZ", and so much more! We spoke about a lot and had a lot of fun be we also unpacked some really serious conversations. TAP IN!!!

Episode 148: "Domingo's Son" (w/ Termanology)

Episode 148: "Domingo's Son" (w/ Termanology)

There's no greater feeling than when we have a repeat guest and we're able to track the progress from our previous sit down with them. In reality if there is no progress there probably wouldn't be a 2nd sit down. In this case we're talking about one of the most consistent Rap artists in the game, let alone Massachusetts! Termanology left our podcast last November with 43 projects out in total and returned this week with 45! The Hip-Hop staple made his way to eXpozedTV Studios for the first time and gave us a conversation that literally made us feel like it was a continuation of our last.

On this episode Charlie MaSheen, Shanelle Shanté, and KASH host the Lawrence native and talk about his last two albums "Start 2 Finish" (with Paul Wall) and the most recent "DeTERMination". The unexpected collaboration with Paul Wall was not only a surprise to Hip-Hop fans everywhere, but it was an instant classic and in most cases gave fans a new-found respect from the Houston chop-and-screwed rapper. DeTERMination gave a feel of nostalgia with the intro from DJ Kay Slay and features from the likes of Tony Sunshine, Fredro Starr, & the legendary Kool G Rap!!! Besides music we also touched on Termanology's coveted brand "Good Dad Gang" which had a recent collab with Ewing Athletics as he released his own sneaker, his support for other Mass artists like Bia, Millyz, & Wizz Dakota, the passing of the rapper's father, & SO MUCH MORE! When Term agreed to this interview he told us he wasn't rapping but he surprised us with a CLASSIC #RedCupsAndRap freestyle and also brought along a friend Fabeyon from Springfield to bless us with even more heat! This was such an in-depth and moving podcast– definitely one you won't want to snooze on! TAP IN!!!

Episode 147: "Views From The Pit" (w/ Angel Ocasio)

Episode 147: "Views From The Pit" (w/ Angel Ocasio)

For most music enthusiasts, the best way for them to feel connected to their favorite artists is through live performances. Seeing their favorite records come to life is probably the closest they’ll ever get to said artist. In the instances that they aren’t privy to these experiences they may heavily rely on videos or photos to capture the moments on those stages and there are people who help capture the vibes. Angel Ocasio is one these people and he’s had the opportunity to shoot some stunning photos of some of the biggest artists in all types of genres of music. Names like J.I The Prince of N.Y, Lil Uzi Vert, Tokischa, and Bad Bunny are some of the musicians Angel has had the chance to take some pictures of. With him being from Framingham and us catching wind of his talents, it’s only right that we had to get the take of music from the perspective of a “Creative Dot Connector” as he likes to describe it.
Join us this week as Charlie MaSheen, Shanelle Shanté, & KASH welcome Angel Ocasio to the pod. During the sit down we discuss photographer/videographer’s story and how he got into the field, the names he's worked with relationships he’s built, his feelings towards a often talked about event promoter from the scene,  the BMAs, and SO MUCH MORE‼️ This conversation was fun, refreshing and and it even got sad when discussing some things about his personal life. We’re sure this will be a favorite for a lot of our supporters. TAP IN‼️

Episode 146: "Hearse In A Verse" (w/ FUNERAL Ant Bell)

When a lot of Hip-Hop artists are asked how they began writing music, you often get an answer that revolves around poetry and creative writing. Popular belief would lead you to believe that some of the best lyricists have that kind of background and make thought provoking music that defines more than just a song. This holds true for the #SouthEnd native, FUNERAL Ant Bell! Since hearing some of his music for the first time in 2020, we were instantly drawn to his descriptive writing which almost sounds like he’s right in front of you delivering a message. Street inspired but never violently glorifying the “culture” is the best way to describe the young MC and he has a great story to tell. Join #CharlieMaSheen & #KASH as they welcome FUNERAL Ant Bell to the pod for the first time and more than likely not the last. On this episode we talk about the rapper’s latest body of work “There’s Glory In the Fire, Vol. 1”, his upbringing and influences in music, his affiliation w/ #Avenue & #WordsSpeakLife and SO MUCH MORE‼️ And once again we were givin a #RedCupsAndRap freestyle that we’re sure many will be talking about for a while‼️LINK IN BIO— TAP IN‼️

Episode 145: "Not Ya Average Dro" (w/ Alejandro Blanco)

2022 has been the year of the worker. While some were still talking about 2020 and last year, the doers brushed yesterday off and got their “right now” on! One of the proactive artists who has been working tirelessly this year is definitely Alejandro Blanco. With his traction from “A3” that dropped in 2021, the multi-talented crooner gave us 2 albums and 1 EP and the year isn't even over yet! The last night we got to talk to the Fearless Music Group star, it was over a year ago when he pulled up on us with a lot of his crew. This time around we wanted to get a little more personal so we invited Alejandro Blanco to the pod solo and tackled a lot of topics. This might be one of our most controversial podcast to date and as equally as WILD & HILARIOUS ‼️ Join Charlie MaSheen, Shanelle Shanté, & KASH as they interview Blanco and talk about his most recent bodies of work including “First Born” &  “Like Last Time”, his work w/ the Super Smash Bros & Wizz Dakota, a crazy game of “F*ck, Marry, Kill” and SO MUCH MORE‼️ We also ended the episode with a perfect #RedCupsAndRap freestyle from Kil The Artist! Episode 144: "Edumacation" (w/ Ned Wellbery (Leedz) of Leedz Edutainment)

Episode 144: "Edumacation" (w/ Ned Wellbery (Leedz) of Leedz Edutainment)

Some people outside of the commonwealth may not know much about the Boston Rap/Hip-Hop scene but they might know the name Leedz Edutainment and the venue “The Middle East” in Cambridge. There was a time when those two names went hand in hand. For about 20yrs Ned “Leedz” Wellbery basically owned all the major rap events that were taken place at that iconic landmark and brought out some of Rap’s biggest names to come rock the crowd. When you’re the face of anything, however, EVERYONE is going to have something to say about how you do things; even people like our hosts Charlie MaSheen & Kash. If you’ve followed our podcast its not a surprise that we’ve mentioned Leedz multiple times prior and the “pay to play” show structure— and how strongly against it we stood. At last we had the opportunity to put it all on the table and talk about it like men.
Join us this week to almost take a trip down memory lane with the founder of Leedz Edutainment and talk about his journey in event promoting, some of the highlights of his more memorable shows, the “pay-to-play”, his studio compilations like his latest “Worker Among Workers” and SO MUCH MORE‼️ This conversation touched on a lot of things people wanted to know and also how Leedz has changed over the years. Definitely one of our classic moments as a podcast and a MUST LISTEN for maybe about 3 generations! TAP IN‼️

Episode 142: "Have Your Cake & Eat It" (w/ Cakeswagg)

It’s always refreshing to talk to an artist who has multiple layers of creativity up their sleeves. When it comes to rappers— a large majority are expected to touch on certain topics and maintain a certain image to make themselves appealing to the masses. This is often particularly true when it comes to the “femcees” but luckily for us in Boston we have a handful of lady lyricists who are breaking the mold; and one of them who stands out amongst many is the Roxbury native, Cakeswagg!
We’ve been following Cakeswagg’s journey since the start of this platform and we have always enjoyed her witty and sharp bars that often came with compelling visuals that highly impressed us given her short time as an artist. She came on the scene in 2018 and quickly grabbed the attention of every and anyone with her pen game. Shes dropped 3 projects—including her latest “The Pencess” w/ DJ WhySham and even had a freestyle series that’s had over 120 weekly installments. Needless to say, this conversation has been LONG OVERDUE!

Join Charlie MaSheen, Shanelle Shanté, & KASH as they host Cakeswagg in a conversation about her career as an artist, her career as a GHOSTWRITER, more about her & SO MUCH MORE‼️ And of course we couldn’t let her leave without giving us some heat for this week’s #RedCupsAndRap Freestyle! THIS IS DEFINITELY A MUST LISTEN/WATCH PODCAST‼️ TAP IN‼️

Episode 139: "Indictment Rap" (w/ Cez)

With Brockton being one of the leading cities in MA for pools of musical talent, it doesn’t surprise us that we continue to find out about promising rappers out of the City of Champions. This week we had the opportunity to talk to an MC by the name of Cez; a lyricist with a very distinct voice who is seemingly determined to take his craft to the next level! We first heard of Cez earlier this year when he released his 2 pack single BTA (Before The Album) and displayed his rapping abilities and kept his supporters wanting more. He recently followed up with his debut “Product of the Pain” which is an 8 track EP that showed more depth in his music and confirmed what we already knew— THE BOY CAN RAP‼️

Join Charlie MaSheen, Shanelle Shanté, & KASH as they host Cez in a sit down revolving around his debut project, his influences & top 5 rappers of all time, how many rappers willingly create indictment rap & SO MUCH MORE‼️ This podcast really lets the fans learn more about the personality behind the music. For nearly 5 months we haven’t made a push to have a sit down amongst our hosts but here we are with another long overdue and NEEDED podcast. Episode 137: "Rec, Cups, & Rap" (w/ Scoobz Frm Boston)

Most artists have day-to-day managers and its been like that for quite some time now. While it’s not always necessary, it does become very convenient to have somebody who will manage your bookings, studio sessions, and more while you focus on the creative side of things. What makes a manager good at his or her job is variable and sometimes even intangible. Scoobz Frm Boston is one of those managers who’s network and skillset has allowed him to get his artists within some winning circles relatively quickly.

Join #CharlieMaSheen & #KASH as they host Scoobz at #eXpozedTVstudios for a special podcast that starts with our hosts talking to the currently incarcerated artist #MizzieCash who’s down with a highly publicized case. We talk to Mizzie about his current mental state, whats next for him and also some insight on other artists on his unit like #7981Kal & #CincinnatiRose ‼️ We spoke to Scoobz Frm Boston about his early start in management & more and even had his newest artist #TeeRichh show off his skills for this week’s #RedCupsAndRap freestyle 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥

Episode 136: "Shootin' For Jeezus" (w/ MITYMAOSE)

Episode 136: "Shootin' For Jeezus" (w/ MITYMAOSE)

In the grand scheme of things, Boston has bred more music producers who have either worked with or placed for big name artists than vocal artists. While the internet has its advantages to bridge that gap, the guys behind the actual music tend to become unsung heroes unless their stories are being closely documented. This is why we wanted to take the time to give a Hyde Park native his flowers this week–none other than MITYMAOSE, a guy who is the architect of great sounds and has been working on his craft for over a decade!

Early on in Mity's career he was one of Charlie MaSheen's go-to beat-makers and worked closely with various artists in the Boston area. He quickly took his talents to LA in a pursuit of something bigger and he's definitely found some of what he's been looking for. He's linked with LA based artists who are on their way to stardom, done work for the Kenya Barris/ABC hit "Black-ish" where he produced and wrote a record titled "Vote" which was performed by Jhene Aiko! He also earned a Grammy nomination for his work on Drake's album "Scorpion"– more specifically the record March 14! If we could have had MITYMAOSE on the show earlier we definitely would have but this sit down was inevitable. Join Charlie MaSheen & KASH as they reconnect with their bro Mity and talk about his career in LA, their past endeavors, whats next, and SO MUCH MORE! This was one of those timeless moments so don't sleep! TAP IN!!!!!

Episode 135: "Pyrex Visionary" (w/ Shaykh Hanif)

Hailing from the South End area of Boston is the mellow flowing, thought provoking, and street referencing lyricist Shaykh Hanif! We first heard of Hanif years before starting the podcast, when he rapped under the moniker of “Nino Brown”—all while he was in prison serving a 10yr sentence 😳. Since his release he’s rebranded himself and  teamed up with some other notable MCs from the scene while working on his solo career as well. If you recall, we talked to the “No Mistaking That” artist previously on the Feed The Family episode just before the release of that project and we expressed how we instantly took a liking to his music. The second time Shaykh Hanif made an appearance on the pod during the New Year‘s episode he put the bug in our ear to create a rating system for EPs & LPs which we now package as #RedCupsAndRatings !

This time we brought ‘Nif back to the couch for a solo sit down and to talk about his latest project “Pyrex Visionary“ amongst other things. Join Charlie MaSheen, Shanelle Shanté, & KASH as they host Shaykh Hanif in a conversation about his music, Islamic religion, his collaborations on his album including OT The Real, Last Days & Benny The Butcher to name a few & SO MUCH MORE‼️ It’s been a few weeks since we had a full host crew so you know we were kickin that Sh*t! Episode 134: "Hart Made of Base" (w/ Fuego Base of BSF Records)

Like many metropolitan cities throughout the country, Hartford, Connecticut has a drastic duality to its identity. While some from affluent spaces view the 18 square mile city as the nation’s insurance capital, there is a grungier side to Hartford—the side that if you’re not from there, you don’t go there. Fuego Base, one of the newest signees to Benny The Butcher’s BSF Records is from that side of town. Within the past 3 years the lyrical and very street oriented MC has really made a name for himself on a national level and with his newly found platform, the game is his for the taking. With a slew of EPs and mixtapes including his most recent “Say Dat Again” and an assortment of freestyles on various platforms, Fuego Base has confidently proved that he can rap at a high level with some of the best of them—which is why we took a liking to his music, and now his story. We’ve been lucky enough to get Base to pull up on us as Charlie MaSheen & KASH hosts the “Tell My Momma Im a Rapper” creator.

Join us as we learn more about Fuego Base’s side of Hartford and what his city is like, his relationship with Benny The Butcher, tour life with Boston’s own Last Days, what true success looks like for him, AND SO MUCH MORE‼️ We also were lucky enough to get some sharp and hard hitting bars for this weeks #RedCupsAndRap freestyle! THE ENERGY IN THE STUDIO WAS SO AMAZING AS THERE WAS LOVE IN THE BUILDING AND THIS TURNED OUT TO BE A GREAT TALK WITH A GREAT STORYTELLER.  TAP IN‼️‼️‼️

Episode 133: "Only Forbes on the Forbes List" (w/ Logan Forbes from UntitledExport)

Episode 133: "Only Forbes on the Forbes List" (w/ Logan Forbes from UntitledExport)

When it comes to the music industry theres so many moving parts on what makes a successful artist. We often focus so much on the artistry and the actual art that we seldom hear about the guys playing the background. Episode 132: "Newest Veteran" (w/ Milly19)

Episode 132: "Newest Veteran" (w/ Milly19)

The melodic, street-grungy yet vulnerable crooner rap is definitely a sound that many on the come up try to tap into. However, not every rapper can speak a certain way with a background to match. However, this week we welcome a Dorchester native from the Fields Corner area who has been slowly bubbling over the past few years with a gripping story to tell– Milly19! We've actually been privy to some past loose singles like "Graveyard" & "Hold Me" but it wasn't until he dropped his debut EP "Still Bleeding" this past Spring that we really got excited about what Milly could possibly accomplish with music. Forthcoming lyrics and tales of betrayal over catchy melodies are what this artist delivers to paint a picture of his hood. Join Charlie MaSheen & KASH as they host Milly19 in his first interview ever and talk about his upbringing, his influences, his creative process and SO MUCH MORE! He also delivers a chilling #RedCupsAndRap freestyle where he gives us sharp bars mixed in with some melodies. THIS IS GONNA BE A HOOD FAVORITE– TAP IN!!!

Episode 131: "From Ashy to Classy" (w/ EXITFAME)

Episode 131: "From Ashy to Classy" (w/ EXITFAME)

When it comes to Hip-Hop artists from the hood, there is often a story told of triumph over tragedy. Many times these stories are intertwined with the protagonist seldomly appearing vulnerable but coming from a place of aggression and power. This is why we appreciate artists like EXITFAME, a man from the same circumstances but happened to make some mistakes which he owns and he faces today. His story is a story of overcoming addiction, pain, loss, and ultimately putting his faith into God and the God within him.

EXITFAME is no stranger to the rap scene. in the early 2010s he made a push under the moniker of "Fame Flynt" and didn't lack when it came to other hard spitters. Recording early records with Boston-area stars like Last Days, Avenue, and Millyz, it was a clear indication of his lyrical ability. Sadly his journey took a hard turn and he fell into a downward spiral of incarceration and more short-comings. This episode is a very HARD look into EXITFAME's life and some of his darkest times. While Charlie MaSheen & KASH turn to humor to reveal these truths, Shanelle Shanté was here to offer a more subtle approach of peeling back some layers to the Dorchester-bred MC. To end off on a more intense note, EXITFAME delivers a jaw-dropping #RedCupsAndRap freestyle that is sure to please the toughest of critics. YOUT DO NOT WANT TO MISS THIS ONE!!!

Episode 129: "Neva Goin Back" (w/ Emanle' Ali)

America loves the reformed gangsta. The assurance you hear in certain peoples music stems from real experiences and lessons that turn into timeless records. Genuine energy can't be reproduced and that holds true for this week's guest, Emanle' Ali! With an authentic story to tell and lyrical ability, it was no surprise that Emanle' began to make a name for himself in Boston over 10 years ago under the moniker of Jay Burna. In the most unfortunate circumstances, he wound up serving an accumulative 10 years in prison over the past 13 years. Undergoing his rebranding and creating new content for his growing fan base, Emanle' Ali is ready to deliver high quality music and make his presence felt at a high level while displaying his growth. To follow up his January release of "Still Burna", the Mattapan based rapper pulled up to the pod to tell us about his upcoming project titled "PTSD: Post Traumatic Street Disorder". Join Charlie MaSheen & Shanelle Shanté as they welcome Emanle' Ali and talk about his experiences in prison, his history with music, dissecting some of his music from "Still Burna" and much, much more! When it comes to Hundred Round Kado we always throw it up for what he has going on. Unfortunately Kado is most recently facing some legal issues and its put a delay on he creative work but he’s back now and we have the exclusive w/ who some would call #TheGodfather of New England! This was a very special podcast because #Bellez pulled up with #CharlieMaSheen to interview Kado. Episode 127: "Gas & Jiggle It" (w/ Kadeem)

Another week in the books and once again we have another Mattapan native to bless the platform with his story and charisma. When it comes to the rappers of now, storytelling isn’t as common but there are the artists who were influenced by the 90’s boom-bap and personify new school lyricism. With that being said, we’re proud to give you this podcast with Kadeem: a wordsmith who’s had the privilege of being eXpozed to multiple cultures that helped cultivate his unique story.

Kadeem is one of those artists that we’ve actually been meaning to talk to for quite some time but given his exclusive nature we weren’t sure on when it would happen. He’s dropped so much self reflective work over the years and collaborated with the some of the most creative all while standing out and staying true to himself. The creator of “Universum” doesn't do much of these kind of interviews but we were lucky enough to catch him just before a release this month! Join Charlie MaSheen & KASH as they host Kadeem in an episode mostly about his story and upbringing, but including his work with staples in our scene like Van Buren & Frank The Butcher, the untimely death of Atlanta rapper Trouble and similar situations, and SO MUCH MORE‼️ We tied everything together with a right on time #RedCupsAndRap freestyle thats sure to be one of the favorites of the year!  DONT MISS OUT ON THIS INSTANT CLASSIC !!!

Episode 126: "Charge It To The Game" (w/ Kam'Geez)

Episode 126: "Charge It To The Game" (w/ Kam'Geez)

After the “12 for 12” era in Boston Rap, there was an influx of rappers from the scene who came and went. There are others, however, who seemed to gain a solid following while creating at a high level over and over again. Amongst those names we have the laid back flow and sometimes melodic Kam’Geez. The Dorchester born, Chelsea raised “High-End Hustler” has earned the respect of many fellow creatives and while he hasn’t always been the most consistent, he’s always been able to keep his core following engaged with his loose singles and EP drops.

Just like Charlie MaSheen described the “In Due Time” creator, Kam’Geez has been considered an unsung hero in the eyes of many supporters of our music scene. Over the years he’s worked with Boston names like Rosewood Bape, Pretty G G Pretty, Vanni Allan Poe, and a frequent collaborator FB fba Nyce Franklin. In 2020 you might have heard Kam’s carefully crafted flow on the Sylus Gambino record “Kill or Be Killed” with 8Zipp, also featuring Vanni Allan Poe. With a lot of eyes on the city right now because of some of our bigger named artists, it would be the perfect time to shift into gear and give the people some new work and set himself apart; which is exactly why Kam’Geez chose to come and talk to Charlie MaSheen & KASH on this weeks podcast. Join the guys as they talk about Kam’s creative process, how he plans to set himself apart, and the rollout of his latest project “Charge It to The Game”. We also ”rapped” it up with a dope #RedCupsAndRap freestyle on a classic beat that we actually used for last years cypher! TAP IN‼️

Episode 125: "Black Thought" (w/ Kurt Faustin & Celeste The Therapist)

Episode 125: "Black Thought" (w/ Kurt Faustin & Celeste The Therapist)

Mental health has always been one of those topics within the Black community that hasn’t always been spoken about enough. Generationally, we have typically looked down on seeking help with mental health or maybe didn’t know if it was available or how to seek help. Things have started to change and Black representation is what is helping change the narrative. With May being “Mental Health Awareness Month” we called on the help of two names who are making waves within that space in our community, Kurt Faustin & Celeste The Therapist!
Kurt Faustin often talks about being at a low place mentally in his life where he wasn’t making the best decisions. The genius thing he did however was fail forward and revamped his brand which is tailored around mental health. He’s even teamed up with Wallo from “Million Dollars Worth of Game” for his “Dropout Summit” helping the youth take control of their futures with certainty and purpose!

Celeste The Therapist has always been a supporter of ours and also someone we look up to in the podcast space. Before her podcast “Celeste The Therapist” has been streaming in over 100 countries, she has always been an avid mental health advocate. Celeste now uses her platform to help others all over and shatter misconceptions of mental health within the Black community.

Join Charlie MaSheen, Shanelle Shanté, & KASH as they host Kurt & Celeste in a mental health conversation we plan on doing year over year. We touched on a lot and shared so many laughs—EVERYBODY NEEDS TO TAP IN‼️

Episode 124: "Remain Authentic" (w/ King Brickz)

We’ve all heard the phrase “controversy sells” time and time again, and while some buy in to that simple concept wholeheartedly, some want to go a more artistic route with their expression. King Brickz is one of the young artists who has shown us that he isn’t scared to put everything out on the table but also knows when to intentionally create for the sole purpose of creating art.

Brickz is no stranger to the pod since he made his first appearance on Episode 70 and gave us one of the most talked about #RedCupsAndRap freestyles thus far. So much so we invited him to be a part of our first cypher in August of ‘21, which he describes on this new sit down. We also had him pull up to the studio to deliver some more heat for us which inevitably led us to this new moment. Needless to say, we’ve built a relationship with King Brickz and we want to see him win at a high level. Join Charlie MaSheen & KASH as they welcome Bricks to eXpozedTV Studios and talk about what he‘s been up to, his perspective on how to deal with a highly publicized ”beef”, his newest work and MUCH MUCH MORE‼️

Episode 123: "Love & Loyalty" (w/ Mikey Milano)

Episode 123: "Love & Loyalty" (w/ Mikey Milano)

While some of the bigger names from the MA music scene happen to be 80's and 90's babies, we are beginning to get acquainted with the talent pool of the post 9/11 born creatives. Amongst that group is the Dorchester bred Mikey Milano; a melodic rapper who actually gets a lot of his acclaim from his singin abilities. We first caught wind of what he's doing musically when we heard about him singing the National Anthem at the historic Fenway Park before a Red Sox game. After finding out that he was only 19, we knew that this wouldn't be the lat time we heard his name.

Growing up in the inner-city and witnessing crime and violence, it's no surprise that it ends up in the music of the artists from those areas. Mikey Milano has a great way of painting images from his neighborhood with vocal range. While the young crooner doesn't have a full project out yet, we were impressed with his online presence and invited him up to tell his story and what his next moves are. Join Charlie MaSheen, Shanelle Shanté, & KASH as they host Mikey Milano and talk about his music, his influences, his wants and needs musically, and how he speaks for his generation. This was a really fun episode so make sure ya tap in!

Episode 122: "Platform Pioneer" (w/ Noble of TheMUSEUM TV)

Episode 122: "Platform Pioneer" (w/ Noble of TheMUSEUM TV)

There was a time in Boston when there weren't too many media platforms capturing the culture within the music scene. Many have came and went, others rebranded themselves, some lost their sense of authenticity, but not many have stayed true and remained focused on the long game. Evolution is a process that will occur in anything that proves to be consistent and we've seen that displayed in the creator of TheMUSEUM TV, the visionary who goes by one very suiting name, Noble! Since 2014, Noble launched "TheMUSEUM TV -- Boston's Premier Vlog Exhibiting the Culture's Stories" and has never looked back while creating timeless moments and also inspiring others to do the same!

A Boston native and a fan of all types of music, Noble witnessed there was a void in Black media out here. Instead of complaining about it, he did something about it and created his own platform. Since then many other brands have been spawned and he himself has upgraded his video blog along the way to keep things fresh. He's also been able to create different streams of income which have come to be from the network he's built over the years and eventually built an ecosystem which has allowed him to be a full-time entrepreneur. One of the best success stories that isn't anywhere close to the finish line, we are more than happy to welcome our brother Noble back to the platform in our current evolved form. Join Charlie MaSheen, Shanelle Shanté, & KASH as they talk about their guest's story, his early struggles, his different business endeavors, some things that people may not know about him, his relationship with the now incarcerated Woody of BNF Podcast, & MUCH MUCH more! Flee has been working hard and consistently over the years and many will say his appearance on the pod has been long overdue. We share the same sentiment and we’re glad our busy schedules finally allowed us to make this happen. Episode 120: "Learning 2 Unlearn" (w/ Ayana Bean)

A story that is now nationally known, started in our beloved city of Boston through the optics of the Trap Queen herself, Ayana Bean. If you've seen the BET special "American Gangster: Trap Queens" then you may have heard her name from season 1 as the college admissions advisor who stole multiple 6 figures to fund her lifestyle and invest into other endeavors. What started as a desperate attempt to dig herself out of a hole turned into what would land her in jail. Ayana has a very interesting story and to be honest we may have to have her back on the show to talk more about it. In what may be one of our most forthcoming podcasts to date, Ayana opened up about some things we learned from the BET special, her memoir "A Year & A Day: Memoirs of a regular girl", and also some things we just had to hear from her! Join Charlie MaSheen & Shanelle Shante as they host Ayana Bean and talk about certain pats of her early life, her connections in the music industry, her 2 jail bids, her new book & MUCH MUCH MORE!

Episode 119: "REEK What You Sow" (w/ Reko aka REEKSHOTME)

Episode 119: "REEK What You Sow" (w/ Reko aka REEKSHOTME)

Our hosts all grew up in the music video era. Greats like Hype Williams, Director X, Benny Boom and more have given them and many others within their generation timeless visuals that made classic Hip-Hop/Rap records come alive. As we continue to expand our audience and attempt to capture our music scene within Mass as a whole, it's only right we talk to the ones creating the visuals to OUR classics. Who else better to start with than the super creative ex ball player out of Taunton, Reko aka REEKSHOTME!

Reko got her start creatively as a photographer about 6 years ago a then transitioned to videos 3 years later. We caught on to her from work with some of our favorites like the VB boys and BoriRock. She also was in the building with us at the '21 BMAs as she was nominated for Music Videographer of the year for her work with Neemz and other homegrown stars. While she plays the background as a director, Reko's personality is what draws a lot of people to her and makes her network so valuable. Join Charlie MaSheen & KASH as they host REEKSHOTME and talk about her start within the scene, her being sexually liberated and unapologetically displaying it online, and other current topics like Druski & Benzino; which led into to an interesting back-and forth about Hip-Hop vs the trans community. We did not include a #RedCupsAndRatings segment as we honored the life of Blazo Santana instead. RIP King. DONT MISS OUT ON THIS ONE–FULL VISUAL DROPPING 4/20!

Episode 118: "Pap Culture" (w/ DJ Papadon)

DJs are the most important part of music and we're always delighted when we get to talk to one who has done a lot for the culture. Since Charlie MaSheen's "Quarantine Series" talk with the legendary DJ Chubby Chub, we haven't had the chance to sit with a DJ but we got lucky enough to fit into the schedule of one of the most in demand names in our scene, DJ Papadon!

If you listen to the radio, you might've heard his name on Boston's top Hip-Hop station on Friday nights. If you go to certain venues within Boston and surrounding areas, then you've heard Papadon controlling the vibes with the hottest new music. If you're a fan of MA's own BIA then you've definitely seen his name as her DJ at a show or one of their residencies. We've even been lucky enough and had the opportunity of having DJ Papadon spinning at our 1st official Rap Cypher at Le Trap Couture! Needless to say, Pap has gotten around in many circles when it comes to music and this might be one of our best interviews yet with one of Boston's biggest personalities! Join Charlie MaSheen, Shanelle Shanté, & KASH as they host DJ Papadon and talk about his career in rap, being BIA's tour DJ, Boston's music scene and SO MUCH MORE!!!

Episode 116: "Black Over Blue" (w/ Sadiddy Dev)

Episode 116: "Black Over Blue" (w/ Sadiddy Dev)

Black men vs law enforcement is a battle that is generations old and shows very little indication on bridging the gap any time soon. In most cases the biggest gang in the US, which is the police, come out triumphant in any altercation with the Black men they apparently fear so much. In February of '21 another traffic stop that ended with a Black man in jail involved Mattapan's own Sadiddy Dev. Unlike most cases, in just a year later, Dev is out of custody and free of the assault charges the MA State Police tried to pin on him! Welcome home family!

Sadiddy Dev is no stranger to the music scene in Boston although he's spent some gaps of time away from his craft fighting cases. The street stories filled with ambition, pain, and hard hitting punchlines are why we grew to love Dev's style of music. Now that he's home again we're hopeful for a strong push of new content that will contribute to the fast growing scene. Join KASH & Charlie MaSheen as they welcome Sadiddy Dev to the podcast for the first time as he talks about his notorious case vs the MA State Police officer who will probably always need a partner with him now, new and old music, how he got his name and some FILTH regarding women 🤣! We had to close this one out with a CRAZY #RedCupsAndRap freestyle to a classic 50 Cent instrumental! Dont miss out on this one!!!

Episode 115: "Teaching Patients" (w/ Chilla Jones)

When it comes to the Battle Rap world, you'd have to be completely oblivious to what's going on if you've never heard of Chilla Jones! One of the greatest battlers to ever grace a stage is also one of the greatest lyricists to ever come out of the city of Boston; which is often referred to by Chilla as Bosstown! One of the first established names to give us a co-sign and give us one of the most underrated freestyles we've had the chance to house is BACK to the pod, and as always got a fully loaded clip with him!

It's been 86 episodes since Chilla Jones has been on the podcast and a lot has changed on both ends since that initial interaction. Since then he's told us about his musical plans with his brother, Mr. Jones, who is an R&B artist – but he didn't disclose the big plans he had about a Hip-Hop Masterclass he had up his sleeve. Chilla teamed up with Mickey Facts and some other creatives to create Pendulum Ink, which will completely change the face of independent artist development and give up-and-coming artists an opportunity to sharpen their skills at a high level! Along with his recent EP "Love Jones" that he released with his brother under the name "Jones Ink", Chilla Jones pulled up on us with a lot to talk about and also TORE THE HOUSE DOWN with a #RedCupsAndRap freestyle that may arguably be the best we've ever heard! Join Charlie MaSheen & KASH as we host one of our favorites and one of the most talented!

Episode 114: "Rose Gold Don" (w/ Last Days)

One of our biggest take-ways from last weeks podcast was when DMal expressed that he enjoys having conversations with interesting people opposed to certain creatives who don't have an engaging story to tell. This sentiment may be one of the reasons why we enjoy talking to the face of the Dirty Hawk imprint, Last Days! The Dorchester-bred artist is back for a 3rd appearance on the show and he came with some new heat for your speakers! 39 weeks have passed since we last spoke to Days and he's come to promote his latest project "Rose Gold Don".

It's no secret that Last Days has built a relationship with Griselda & BSF and that alliance was displayed on the new album with a feature from Benny The Butcher. The 8 track EP consists of catchy hooks and descriptive language that only Last Days could put together to illustrate his life. While this is the newest thing going on with Days, we also discussed more personal topics and even brought him back to space when he was feuding with another heavy Boston name Smoke Bulga. While the friction has blown over the years, this is the first time Last Days went into detail about some of the dealings of the past. Join Charlie MaSheen, Shanellé Shante, and KASH as they host the Rose Gold Don and record another classic episode!

Episode 113: "Stay Loyal pt. 2" (w/ Woody aka DMal of BNF Podcast)

Episode 113: "Stay Loyal pt. 2" (w/ Woody aka DMal of BNF Podcast)

When it comes to Black Boston podcasts, there is no way you haven't heard of BNF Podcast. Since its inception in 2016 it quickly became a cult favorite and inevitably disappointed its supporters with its multi-year absence. In 2020 however, Woody brought the podcast back and has since made strides with becoming the most influential Black culture podcast out of Boston! Dmal (Woody) is no stranger to CWTFB Radio as he's been a guest on the platform almost 2 whole years ago on Episode 41. One of our most memorable moments makes a return as Dmal prepares for a very monumental moment in his life.

Woody is no stranger to being vulnerable and sharing very personal parts of his life via social media and his podcast. In fact thats part of what makes people love him as a personality. A couple months back he shared some news with his supporters that he would be having to face some time for something he was recently involved in and shocked a lot with the news. As he prepares to serve his time it's only right that we have a moment with one of our favorites and a pioneer in Black culture podcasts out here. Join us as Charlie MaSheen has his first 1-on-1 sit down since episode 62 and discusses multiple things w/ Dmal like BNF podcast and the type of guests they typically host, a recent disagreement he's had with Dmal which loosely involved Lou Armstrong, "created players" and MUCH MUCH more! We have no doubt that this is an instant favorite so you definitely wont want to miss out!!!

Episode 112: "Best Bejavior" (w/ Biajavier)

Episode 112: "Best Bejavior" (w/ Biajavier)

Our typical guest is usually an artist w/ some street ties and an interesting story to tell. While that formula has been working for our core audience, we also love to hear the stories of other talents who have been working hard and creating quality music. With that being said, its only appropriate for us to have sought out a conversation with the super talented, Lawrence bred, Biajavier! She has been letting her work ethic speak for itself and it sounds so beautiful when we hear it!

Growing up with a Dominican heritage, it’s no surprise that Biajavier took a liking to music, since thats a big part of her culture. On many of her records you hear that influence with the back and forth english/spanish fusion thats done very tastefully. Shes gone on to create with other very talented artists from the Commonwealth like Wizz Dakota and Lisa Bello to name a couple and she finally made it on the pod to give us a piece of her art. Join Charlie MaSheen, Shanelle Shante, & KASH as they host Biajavier and talk about her music, personal life, and even the baby that she will be delivering later this year! We also ended the show with a very smooth #RedCupsAndRnB freestyle! DONT MISS OUT ON THIS ONE‼️

Episode 111: "Conn Artist" (w/ Connis)

Episode 111: "Conn Artist" (w/ Connis)

With this fast evolving market of MCs in Massachusetts, there are a handful of creatives who get around in many circles while maintaining the respect and admiration of almost everyone they come across. One of these said individuals have to be the Cambridge bred artist/producer/curator, Connis! With a creative portfolio dating back to 10+ years, this multi-talented creative has touched many stages and also helped many others with their craft. It's not hard to stand out when you know your worth and also aim to help others find theirs; that's a very true statement when it comes to our guest this week!

As an artist who creates as a form expression, there isn't any work from Connis that seems forced or rushed, which he explains on this podcast. We first heard of the 02139 native from his relationships with some of our favorites like BoriRock & CAEV, and quickly wanted to learn more after hearing his music. His forthcoming and vulnerable lyrics make him relatable and his self awareness of being a White male in a Black created and dominated space makes him admirable so we had to hear his story and get a glimpse of whats next for the young legend in the making. Join Charlie MaSheen & KASH as they host Connis and get a run thru of his story, creative process, how he turns tragedy to triumph, and SO MUCH MORE! Of course we had to have him seal the deal of this sit down with a super smooth #RedCupsAndRap freestyle!!!! DONT MISS OUT ON THIS ONE – TAP INNNN!

Episode 110: "Sagiterrorist" (w/ $hayBand$)

Shooterz Muzik is the creative home for an assortment of talent and one of the leading musical movements out of the city. Since 2020 we’ve been keeping our eyes and ears to one of their most recent inductees then, the young drill rapper who at the time was only 19yrs old— $hayBand$ ‼️ Flash forward to now and 65 episodes later, we had the chance to sit down with $hayBand$ the ARTIST — a more developed and blossoming creative who is stealing the hearts of almost anyone who plays her music!

When we heard $hayBand$ was dropping “The Diamond Child“ EP as her debut in 2021, we and a lot of other supporters assumed we would have heard the drill/trap/crooner mixture we grew to love from her and she ended up surprising us all. She actually gave us 7 records of her showcasing her vocal range and showed us another refreshing side of her we didn‘t know she could fully tap into. The Project Princess is evolving into something bigger and we’re all for it! Since her drop she hasn’t stopped working and actually gave us a teaser ”Big G Band$” — a quick 4 song project to remind us of her roots and she can still do it all very well. Join Charlie MaSheen, Shanelle Shanté, & KASH as we welcome $hayBand$ back to the pod and go over her growth as an artist, being the only female artist in a group of all alpha males, misconceptions of who she is and SO MUCH MORE! Episode 108: "Aint Gotta Like It" (w/ Vasjan)

Episode 108: "Aint Gotta Like It" (w/ Vasjan)

As the #1 music podcast in Boston, a lot of people often rely on our opinions towards certain artists and what's hot within the culture. This is something that we've recently learned and have taken heed to how much our words gets others moving. A target of OURS (Charlie MaSheen & KASH) has been Vasjan, the event promoter turned rapper who has made a name for himself bringing artists to MA and surrounding areas all while only being in this country for only 3 years! While this is a great accomplishment, we have been one of the integral pieces of boycotting his music since we've been brought attention to his attempt at the art. With Shanelle Shanté being instrumental to setting up this sit down, we finally got a chance to hear Vasjan out and see how he feels about all that Chizz & KASH has said about him.

Charlie's biggest point towards Vasjan is him culture appropriating and making the type of music he knows nothing about and also contributing to the crippling "pay-to-play" model a lot of Rap event promoters adopt. While Vas has not taken accountability for this at all and denies it, he also played victim in asking "why me" when he's the target and called on the aid of blogs and yes-men like Boston Culture to aid him in his counter-argument. In a grand "double agent" fashion, Shanelle Shante aka the Saxon Savior also put the battery in Vasjan's back and tried to level the playing field while Charlie & KASH did not hold back a bit. Join us while we hear Charlie apologize for anything for the first time, hear Vasjan's side of the story, and also go through a conversation so hot that it even melted one of Shanelle's lashes off 🤣🤣🤣. DONT MISS OUT ON THIS ONE!!!

Episode 107: "Buyin' or Sellin'" (w/ Wizz Dakota)

Episode 107: "Buyin' or Sellin'" (w/ Wizz Dakota)

Lawrence, MA is known for a lot of things rich in culture, given over 70% of its population is of Latino decent. Typically with stats like that in any city, music plays a large part in the culture and the same holds true for this 7 mile long city only 30 miles north of Boston. One of the names who have been leading the charge in the music scene out there and also the whole state is the multi-genre Producer and artist Wizz Dakota! 'Kota has been creating music for almost 20 years now and it's hard to not hear of his name when it comes to collaborations within the Commonwealth and we finally got a chance to sit down with the young legend!

Just about 3 years ago you couldn't ignore Wizz Dakota if you tried to as he was actively making music as always and dropped a record w/ Tory Lanez titled "Sawse II". The record gained a lot of traction and they even filmed a video for it Miami which set the Lawrence bred musician apart. Then shorty thereafter he reloaded and dropped another banger, "4sho x2" featuring Roddy Rich! Needless to say Wizz's work ethic and hit-making abilities are 2 leading factors as we why we wanted to sit down with him. Join Charlie MaSheen & KASH as they host Wizz Dakota and go over the artist's work, personal life, collaborations with MA bred artists like Bia Javier, SuperSmashBroz, Alejandro Blanco, Millyz, and SO MUCH MORE! This conversation was needed so we hope ya'll don't miss out on this one!

Episode 106: "Two Legit to Skip" (w/ KASH & Shanelle Shanté)

Since the launch of CWTFB Radio, Charlie MaSheen has always been on every episode and manned the audio of every podcast. Even with Episode 93 w/ Amandi Music, although Chizz wasn't an interviewer he was still in the building engineering and getting his "Parks" on– chiming in every moment he found appropriate. With the recent surge of Covid-19 cases due to the Omitron variant, the founder of this platform found himself out of commission and unable to pod this week. However, we have more voices who were more than willing to keep the ship afloat and deliver another classic pod!

Join KASH and Shanelle Shanté as they talk us through the last week of events and a few things that sparked their interest. Along with KASH expressing his distaste for something Shanelle said on the previous episode and getting into a healthy spout, they discussed a number of things. #RedCupsAndRatings was continued this week with a review of Rozario TM1's "Free Agency" project amongst other things. Episode 105: "Real Recognize Real" (w/ Avenue & Hil Holla)

To start the year off strong, we had to invite some talent that speaks for itself. From sounds that stretch from Boston's South End to Providence, we welcomed Avenue & Hil Holla as Ave's 2nd time on the platform but the first time as a collective. While we're familiar with their music, we dove into how the 2 MCs began working together and eventually released their collaborative EP "Two Sides of the Same Coin" which is exec produced by the Prince of PVD himself, Cam Bells. The 2021 project is a 5-track EP with sharp production, precise engineering and of course quality lyrics from the 2 artists. We also spoke about Avenue's latest release "Brownstones 2" which is the 2nd installment as an ode to the neighborhood he grew up in, and a short EP that keeps listeners wanting more. Join Charlie MaSheen, KASH, & Shanelle Shanté as we welcome Avenue & Hil Holla at the couch and have a real genuine conversation. We also had the RRR artists wrap up the podcast with another classic freestyle to a classic Wu-Tang beat!

During the intro we touched on the topic of our cast being accused of bullying and we can't wait for yall to hear it! TAP IN!!!

Episode 104: "Happy New Year" (w/ CWTFB & Friends)

Happy New Year from all of us at CWTFB Radio. 2021 has been an amazing year and we plan to reach new heights in 2022 with our team and honored guests. We will be reaching our 2nd year as a music podcast on January 4th and we’re overwhelmed with the amount of support and relationships we’ve built thus far and are committed to the consistency and quality we’ve gotten you accustomed to!

While the world fights an invisible threat, Covid-19, we also want to do our best to ensure the safety of our team and guests so we went the virtual route this week. We’ve never went live in Instagram within our 2 years so we thought what better way to bring in the New Year than spending it w/ our supporters and talk to some of the most talented people the city has to offer. Over 1000 people watched the live feed and we had an all star impromptu lineup of guests which included Shaykh Hanif, Stizzy Leftlane, BoriRock, Junior Mass, Dj Dex, Humbeats, Noble from The Museum TV, Last Days, Avenue, Lee Boy, and Amandi Music! The stream lasted for 3 hours as we discussed staying safe during the pandemic, what makes artists “Hot”, the Hip-Hop New England Top 50 Artist of 2021 list, the percentage of artists who are actually talented and SO MUCH MORE‼️ Hosted by the usual Charlie MaSheen, Shanelle Shanté and the eventually inebriated KASH, this was a great way to bring in the year! Its finally that time of year again when we talk about what already came and went. It's our supporters who got us the win for Music Podcast of the Year at the Boston Music Awards, and it's the talent of all the creators out here who keep us engaged. Episode 102: "Distant Relatives" (w/ OT The Real)

Episode 102: "Distant Relatives" (w/ OT The Real)

In a Hip-Hop climate where there are many artists who strive to be the party starters, and most recently the drillers, there is still a space for the dark, gloomy, and lyrically inclined boom-bap Rap. Some of the names leading the charge are Buffalo's Griselda Records, Syracuse's Stove God Cooks, and North Philly's own, OT The Real! While he spent a few days in Boston recently, we got a chance to have a sit down with OT and talk heavily about his most recent mixtape "Broken Glass", hosted exclusively by the legend DJ Green Lantern!

While it may not be important to most, OT The Real being originally from Fitchburg, MA is a big deal for the music scene out here. We see what he's been able to accomplish within the last 4 years alone and we watch his moves in the game as a proud distant relative. "Millyz & Friends" is a concert series that Millyz has been putting on for years now and is what introduced us to OT's gritty street rap and kept us tapped in. As his career progressed a few industry names  like Meek Mill, Beanie Sigel, and even Jadakiss gave the North Philly rapper a cosign which has taken his platform to new heights. Join us this week as Charlie MaSheen & KASH welcomes our last guest of 2021 and talk to OT The Real about "Broken Glass", his story, white privilege, and SO MUCH MORE! Be sure to tap in to his #RedCupsAndRap freestyle available on our Youtube Channel! TAP IN!!! SHOUT OUT TO DJ E DUBBLE FOR MAKING THIS HAPPEN!
