In today's episode, I share a story about a friend of mine who did $2,000 in sales last night on her very FIRST webinar.

Not much went to plan, but she persevered, pushed through it, and made a nice chunk of money.

However, these is a more important part of this that I reveal in the episode.

An Entrepreneurial Lesson from Bob Marley

An Entrepreneurial Lesson from Bob Marley

It was February of 1996.

I was a young 15 year old on a cruise with my family in the Caribbean.

We stopped in Cozumel, Jamaica & the Cayman islands.

Jamaica was nothing like I expected.

Not sure where we stopped, but it wasn't the nice part.

I'll never forget a young Jamaican walking up to the four of us asking us a startling question:

"You want some Bob Marley bud?"

I was only 15, but had a pretty good idea what he was talking about.

We all were quite dumbfounded.

There is a massive lesson in today's episode about achieving success, and it's broken down into four phases.

Caviar for Breakfast with Champagne Bubble baths?

Caviar for Breakfast with Champagne Bubble baths?

What sounds better?

I'm a copywriter

or...

I'm a copywriter who specializes in creating "profit pumping" emails for fitness pros who sell online courses.

I think we both know the obvious answer.

This was something someone tweeted about last week.

Or somewhat similar to what he tweeted.

Anywhoo...

He was expressing the importance of niching down, and becoming a specialist.

We all know that generalists fight for table scraps.

While specialists have Caviar for breakfast with champagne bubble baths.

It's about getting ultra specific.

And it got me thinking....

This is exactly what you want to do when running your Facebook ads.

You want to call our your target market.

"Hey everybody..." is NOT a target market, either.

You want them to stop scrolling and think....

Hey! This is for me!

What is this about?

The ad copy should pursuade them to click the ad, if it's for them.

If not, they simply keep scrolling.

The first step in any advertising, is grabbing their attention.

Without that, you're just burning money.

How to Make More Sales Than a $5 Dollar Hooker

How to Make More Sales Than a $5 Dollar Hooker

Writer's block...

You ever struggle with it?

Lately, I have been using some email prompts from my buddy Conrad.

His partner Donnie and himself, compiled a list of topics to write about.

Actually, 1,095 ideas, to be exact.

They found weird holidays for everyday of the year.

Put them into several PDFs.

Not only that, but they give you three angles to write about for each day.

This ensures you'll never sit at your computer thinking..

WTF DO I WRITE ABOUT?!?!

We all been there.

I am pushing Conrad to get the sales page up, so I can share it with you.

This works for emails, social media posts, blog posts, podcast topics, video ideas, etc.

You're only limited by your imagination.

How strange is this?

Today marks the 37th anniversary of the first computer virus being released "into the wild".

Ironically, the kids are both home sick today.

Both battling a nasty cough.

Dad's starting to catch it as well, along with a sore throat.

For years, I thought I had a bulletproof immune system.

Then I had kids.

If you're a parent, you're likely viciously nodding your head right now.

You can relate.

Anywhoo...

I was messing around on Twitter earlier, and saw a guy bring up something interesting.

He's in the eCom space, and said a year ago the LED dog collar was all the rage.

People were making truckloads of mon-ey from it.

People started piling on, like they typically do, in the dropshipping space.

Like with everything, good things come to an end.

The product started to die off.

It got too saturated.

99.7% of dropshippers move on to find another product.

Except this one guy.

He came up with a different angle.

He positioned it as "Protect your dog from getting hit by a car at night".

He quickly was making more sales than a $5 dollar hooker.

This works for services or products.

Angles, and tapping into emotion, is ENORMOUS business.

Look at Apple.

They don't have the best phone.

I have one, and I know that.

However, they sell status & emotion, and it's worked alright for them.

The ONLY Thing Your Facebook Ad Should Sell Is ______

Do you know what today is?

For those of you who guessed my birthday, do not pass go, nor collect $200.

For those of you who said, International Puzzle Day

You, my friend, would be correct!

When advertising on Facebook, it's like one big giant puzzle piece.

You need to target the right audience.

With the right message.

At the right time.

You know I yap a lot about the importance of your offer.

Arguably, the most important piece of the entire marketing puzzle.

However, the offer happens on your website.

When running ads, you need them to stop scrolling, read the ad copy, then click the link.

3 Invaluable Lessons from the Fyre Festival Documentary

3 Invaluable Lessons from the Fyre Festival Documentary

Imagine this:

A weekend on a private island, once owned by Pablo Escobar, attending a musical festival coined "The next Coachella".

You get to party with the world's most beautiful super models, athletes, musicians, all while staying in luxury cabanas on the beach.

You're next question likely is: Where do I sign up?!?!

If you're not familiar with it, this was an event called Fyre Festival that launched in December of 2016.

The festival "took place" in April of 2017.

You may have noticed I put "took place" in quotes.

And for good reason.

Netflix recently released a documentary about this event shit show.

It's about a very greedy entrepreneur, who had a grand vision, but was a selfish asshole.

He used 400 influencers (mainly Instagram models) to promote this exclusive beachfront music festival.

It sold out in a matter of days.

6,000 people paying $1,000 - $12,000 per ticket.

Some even splurged $250,000 on the VIP packages.

The event crashed and burned, and that is putting it nicely.

On the morning of the event, it started down pouring.

All the "cabanas" (which were tents for people who lost their homes from a recent hurricane) got soaking wet, along with everything inside.

The fist day, about a third of the people showed up.

The tents filled up fast.

The event was cancelled the following morning, and everyone was forced back to the airport.

Video shows people laying on the floor of the tiny airport, waiting 24+ hours for flights out of there.

The airport had no food.

Or water.

It looked like something out of a horror movie.

But this was real life for thousands of people.

Here are a few things I took away form the documentary:

1. Having a Vision is Priceless

This guy had a grand vision, and he sold the shit out of it.

Not only for the 6,000 people who purchased tickets, but also the behind the scenes people working on the project.

A few of them even admitted it didn't pass the "small test" initially, but Billy (the founder) sold them on the vision.

They bought in hook, line and sinker.

2. Influencer Marketing is Powerful

They announced the event in December of 2016.

The influencers posted on IG an orange square with some copy linking to the website to get tickets.

It went viral.

The website had a video selling the dream, and it worked like gangbusters.

They paid Kylie Jenner $250,000 for one IG post.

3. Admit Your Mistakes

Billy was advised on numerous occasions that it was best to pull the plug, and cancel the event.

He never listened.

He'd argue that his company (Fyre Media) was a solution focused business, not a problem focused one.

His team made a public apology, but claimed it was due to circumstances of of their control.

Which was complete bullshit.

They OVER promised, and UNDER delivered

And that just might be the understatement of the year.

I highly recommend

How This Walmart Baker Can Help You Increase Profits by 25%

How This Walmart Baker Can Help You Increase Profits by 25%

It's weird how life works.

Back before I became a Dad, and was single, there were two things I absolutely dreaded:

  1. Going grocery shopping
  2. Folding laundry

Since having kids, every Saturday, I used to take one of them with me to Walmart to grocery shop.

Taking both was like herding cats, so would leave one home with Amanda.

Well, life happens, and I am know a single Dad, I now take them both.

Like the sun rises in the East, every Saturday morning, the three of us hit Walmart to grocery shop.

Here's the thing:

There is a closer Walmart to the house.

In fact, there are two other grocery stores just a mile from the house.

However, we travel to the further one.

Why is that?

A lady by the name of Evelyn, who works at the bakery.

A sweet, sweet lady who treats Ava & Ashton like her own.

These pictures were snapped yesterday.

We have not seen her since before Christmas, as she was traveling to the Philippines to visit her Mom, we were at Disney last weekend, etc.

This is why we pass two other grocery stores, and another Walmart every Saturday morning.

She gives them a treat (yesterday was a chocolate frosted donut) when we stop by to say hi.

This lady is a hard worker.

She works at the local high school, Mon - Fri, from 7:00 - 2:00.

Then she heads to Walmart to work 2:30 - 10:00 four days during the week, and works the Saturday morning shift.

She has Sundays off, from both jobs.

Customer service/experience is what keeps people buying from you again and again and again.

Too many people focus on acquisition, and not enough time/money/energy on their current customers.

Here is a startling statistic that I share often that I read years ago.

According the the Harvard Business Review:

Increasing customer retention rates by 5%increases profits by 25% to 95%

I yap about this a lot, but I send hand written thank you cards to people who invest in my Facebook ads course.

What can you do to provide a delightful experience for your customers?

Have a Shitty Weekend

Have a Shitty Weekend

I imagine you're out & about today.

Out celebrating.

Enjoying yourself.

Frolicking with family & friends.

I mean, it's a national holiday, and isn't that what we do on holidays?

For the few who are unaware, and live under a rock.

It's Opposites Day today.

Truth be told....

I found this out just a few minutes ago.

You can leverage this in your busienss beyond today.

Here's how:

Do the opposite of what everyone in your industry is doing.

If you follow Ben Settle, he made emailing daily popular.

It used to sound insane.

As everyone used to preach to email once a week.

Not Ben.

And he has the sales numbers to prove that it works quite well.

It's pretty popular among people on Twitter.

Ben does a lot of things that "go against the grain".

However, it gets him an avalanche of attention.

And a loyal tribe.

It also gets him haters, but that is to be expected.

How can you "go against the grain" in your marketplace?

Years ago, when I have a jewelry store, I offered 110% money back guarantee.

That was absolutely unheard of.

Doing the opposite of what your market does will get you attention.

It could bring you in an avalanche of sales, too.

It could help you build a loyal, I'll-buy-anything tribe.

It could also bring out some hate.

That's ok, too.

That means you're standing up for something.

In today's world, that is something that is lacking.

Another simple idea that won't piss off many:

Send hand-written thank you cards.

I been doing this for years, and enjoy doing it.

Even though my hand writing looks like Michael J Fox's.

People's jaws drop to the floor when an online marketer sends them a thank you card.

Especially the people overseas.

In fact, I just dropped one off in the mailbox yesterday.

This gentleman out of Minnesota, with the same name as me, picked up my "Brain Dead" Simple FB Ads course.

A Dirty Little Secret to Success

A Dirty Little Secret to Success

Last night, a tweet popped up in my feed.

Feels weird to even write that.

As I threw in the towel on Twitter in 2014.

Three months ago, if you told me I would be using Twitter for business, I would have laughed in your face.

And told you to remove the tin foil hat from your head.

And go back to your bunker.

Anywhoo...

Like I was saying, a tweet popped up in my feed that read:

Freelancing is the quickest + easiest way to get started making money. You literally aren’t risking a single thing except your ego from rejection. Who cares? No one asks Kobe how many shots he’s missed in his career.

This young buck is right.

The "quickest" way to make money online is to do freelancing.

Provide a SPECIFIC type of service for a SPECIFIC type of person.

Ain't much harder than that.

Like this guy said, the only "risk" is your ego from rejection.

You will face rejection....heaps of it.

Most won't share that part.

Certainly not the ones selling a course on it.

He referenced Kobe, and since I am a waste basket of useless sports knowledge, I want to share a startling statistic about Kobe Bryant.

He's widely considered a top 10 player of all time.

Most would say he's in the #5 - #8 range of all time players.

His career field goal percentage is 44.7%

Meaning he missed 55.3% of his shots.

He missed MORE shots than he made.

He "FAILED" more times than he succeeded.

A MASSIVE lesson to be learned there.

It doesn't matter what line of work you're in, you're going to fail.

You'll likely fail more times than you succeed.

I would guesstimate that I fail 8 times out of 10.

So I probably wouldn't make a great NBA player.

It doesn't help that I measure in at 5' 8 3/4 inches either.

Every 1/4 inches helps.

I also have a horrible jump shot.

A vertical leap just shy of 14 inches.

Ok, so I have a few things working against me that prevents me from playing in the NBA.

It's not a "failure" if you learn from it.

And it's most certainly not a failure if you share the lesson you learn from the "failure".

I take pride in sharing my losses with people.

As I know I can help others avoid the same idiotic mistakes I have made.

It sure gives me a truckload of content 🤣

Just my attempt at turning lemons into lemonade.

The ones who embrace failure, are the ones who succeed.

I guess you could call this a dirty little secret of success.

Failure is inevitable.

One “Must Have” Trait for Entrepreneurs

One “Must Have” Trait for Entrepreneurs

This is something that is not talked about enough.

And I am not sure why, because it's essential to your success.

But first...

Last week, Ava & I were playing with the alphabet letter set my Mom Santa got form for Christmas.

Unfortunately, the set only includes one letter of each.

So not much for for Ava, or Adam.

However, Ashton is good to go.

So as we were putting the letters together to spell her name, and we were short an 'a'.

We had to use the letter 'q' as an 'a'.

Which is fine, as she likes to make somewhat of a long tail on her lower case 'a', so not sure she recognized the difference all that much.

And that brings me to the lesson in this email.

As an entrepreneur, you need to be RESOURCEFUL.

It's not discussed much, and I'm not sure why.

But the truth is...

Most shit is not going to work.

Things rarely go as planned.

You are going to be thrown curve balls on a daily basis.

You are a daily problem solver.

You have to find quick and clever ways to overcome difficulties.

And this is where a lot of people throw in the towel.

Or change course/direction.

They have ridiculous expectations, and give up far too soon because it didn't go as planned.

I know because I speak from years of experience.

If changing course was a misdemeanor, I was on a life sentence.

This is NOT an easy game.

It's why less than 10% of the population are entrepreneurs.

What NOT to Do Over the Next 90 Days

What NOT to Do Over the Next 90 Days

You ever get lost down the Amazon rabbit hole?

Yesterday, I was looking up a book.

I then clicked on another book.

Then another.

And another.

Finally landed on one, read a review, it mentioned another book (by a well know author).

So I looked that one up, and grabbed myself a copy

I just started it, and it's a short read, but enjoying it so far.

In the beginning he shares how an airplane is off course 90%+ of the time in the air.

I've yapped about this before, as it's a valuable lesson.

However, the airplane still gets to it's destination.

Usually on time.

Unless, you fly Spirit Airlines.

I'm convinced they do not have clocks.

Anywhooo...

The point being, it's ok to be off course, the majority of the time.

A few degrees off course, that is.

You can't take 90 degree right turns (switching business models) every 2 weeks, or you'll never get to your destination.

You'll be flying in circles.

A shitty place to be.

I know as I have gotten caught up in 582 times over the last 8 years.

I still struggle with it.

Back in the spring on 2015, I was doing client works (FB ads for Keller Williams agents).

I was also dabbling in Amazon FBA.

In June of that year, a friend convinced me to give Shopify a try.

After a couple weeks, I launched my first Shopify store.

Made a sale in 24 hours.

I was hooked like a fat kid at an all you can eat ice cream buffet.

At the end of July, I quit Amazon FBA, and stopped taking on clients.

In August, my store did just a bit over $15,000 in sales.

The following month I paid off my car and a truckload of debt.

What do you know...

When you focus on ONE thing...results magically appear.

It involved work, so don't think I was on easy street.

But it showed me what "going all in" can do for your business.

And that be the lesson in today's email -- GO ALL IN

Give it 90 days of focus and consistent daily action on ONE business model.

I damn near guarantee you'll be well on your way.

Now, I am not claiming you'll be able to buy that island you've had your eye on.

However, you'll be so impressed with yourself.

An immense amount of pride, too.

Not to mention, your confidence will skyrocket.

Some might even refer to you as cockiness.

Your piggybank will have more of the green stuff in it.

You'll walk taller.

Feel better.

And look good.

By the way...

The book I was referring to is called How to Develop Your Personal Mission Statement by Steven Covey.

Tom Brady with a Tip on How to Fuel Your Fire

Tom Brady with a Tip on How to Fuel Your Fire

"Everyone thinks we suck and can't win any games. So, we'll see"

This was a quote from Tom Brady after the game earlier today.

The Patriots were favored, however, a lot of people thought the Chargers were going to win today.

Myself included.

And I am a HUGE Brady fan.

The Charges do have a better all around team, but that doesn't always translate to victories on the field.

New England absolutely dominated them today, although the score doesn't really reflect that.

The quote above, is geared towards the sports reporters saying that this was it for New England.

The Patriots dynasty was supposed to end today.

Sports analysts have been saying that for years.

The Patriots used that above quote to fuel their fire.

And going into halftime up 35-7, I'd say that worked in their favor.

I bring this up because:

You likely have haters, or doubters or naysayers in your life.

We all have them.

Some more than others, but know we all battle this is some way.

When it's close family members, it can make it much more challenging.

I speaketh from experience.

You ultimately have a choice.

Listen to them.

Confirm they are right, and live a "safe" life.

Unfortunately, most people dwell on it, and live down to people' expectations.

The better, more fulfilling option is....

Do what Tom Brady & the Patriots did today.

Use that hate/doubt/pessimism to fuel your damn fire!!!

Use that to prove them wrong.

Use it as a positive.

It's all mindset.

It always is.

3 Mind Blowing Reasons to Be Tweeting

3 Mind Blowing Reasons to Be Tweeting

I've talked about this a bit lately.

But I recently got back into using Twitter.

A platform I basically swore off years ago.

I signed up for an account in '09, but only used it for sports, very rarely did I use it for busienss.

Pretty much dumped Facebook & Instagram, totally unexpectedly.

Kinda like my sixth grade girlfriend did to me.

By sliding a note in my locker.

DAMN IT, KIM!!!

WE HAD SOMETHING SPECIAL!!!

No, I am not still bitter...26 years later!!!

Anywhoo...

I track my daily habits with a good ol' pencil & paper.

If you read these emails (I imagine you drop everything when you see it hit your inbox --right?!?!)

One of my habits that I want to get better at is making daily offers.

A lot of times I do it in these emails.

Some days, I drop them on Twitter.

Last night, after I read the kids And to Think That I Saw It on Mulberry Street.

I hopped on Twitter and tweeted out my offer, to "tick the box" for the day.

A guy I follow, and have a tremendous amount of respect for, re-tweeted it to his following.

Don’t Forget the Big Brands — They Need Help, Too

Don’t Forget the Big Brands — They Need Help, Too

I started chewing tobacco when I was 16.

My friends and I played sports, so smoking was out of the question.

On my 26th birthday, I quit.

Unfortunately, the following day I bought a pack of smokes.

Four years ago (this month), I quit, with the help of a vape.

Six month later I was not only smoke-free, but vape-free as well.

In the spring of 2017, Amanda started smoking again, and I foolishly joined her.

Labor Day of that year, I quit.

Have not smoked since, and ZERO desire for it.

I do, however, still vape.

And I like to buy the juice online.

I bought some from an online store a couple months back.

Yesterday morning, I went to place an order, but couldn't remember the store name.

I frantically searched through my inbox, and found my receipt.

The last email I received from them was mid-November.

This is supposedly the largest online vape shop in the US.

And they are doing a terrible job with email marketing.

I went back to their store to place an order.

In that time, I opted in on the pop up on their site, for a 10% off coupon.

I never received the email.

So I tried again last night, and no email.

I emailed support about it, and pointed out a few other areas they were slacking.

According to Similar Web, their store received 550,000 visitors last month alone.

That is some serious traffic, and they are dropping the ball with email.

And that would be the understatement of the year.

I had some fun with the email I wrote them, and cracked some jokes.

Sent it off to support, and shockingly, I still have not heard back from them.

Quite a few lessons here...

Even big companies need help with their marketing, not just the dentists, lawyers & chiros so many focus on.

I imagine this vape shop does a few million per year in sales.

Just some rough math estimates...

Per Similar Web, I am guesstimating they are generated about 2.6 million visitors last year.

Somewhat hockey stick growth from Sept - December.

Average conversion rate is about 3%

2.6 M x 0.03 = 78,000 customers.

I'd imagine their average order value is around $30 (likely more) and that brings us to about $2.3M in revenue.

This does not include repeat customers, which I imagine, is a pretty high percentage.

Even getting half their customers to place ONE more order in the next 12 months would add about $1.2M to their bottom line.

Email would be an excellent channel to make an immediate impact.

Another lesson is this....

There are opportunities EVERYWHERE, you just have to look for them.

I had zero intention on pitching a vape store yesterday.

Just sat at my desk, and started typing away.

I enjoyed writing the email, and we'll see if I hear back from them.

Just some random thoughts swirling around my head on a Friday night.

How Tom Brady Can Help You Double Your Sales

How Tom Brady Can Help You Double Your Sales

Yesterday, I was listening to Colin Cowherd, and he played a clip from a Boston morning radio show with Tom Brady.

Tom Brady, who is arguably THE best quarterback of all time, said something along the lines of....

"Once that Chargers/Ravens game got over (the Patriots play the Chargers this weekend) I was up all night studying film.

It's what I'll be doing all week this week. I am really excited"

It was something along those lines.

Colin also brought up a point where Brady was talking about how he's not a big fan of the gym, or lifting weights.

Which, is pretty damn important for football.

Or one would assume it was.

Have you seen the size of Khalil Mack?

Aaron Donald?

JJ Watt?

Those guys are enormous monsters on the field.

Brady said he liked to study film, and that's where he spent the majority of him time.

The nerdy stuff, one could say.

Five Super Bowls later, and still playing at a high level for being 41, he might have something figured out.

I bring this up for two reasons:

First off....

He was up all night studying film.

He's 41 years old and has played in the league for 19 seasons. Which is absolutely unheard of, especially at the quarterback position.

He's a master at his craft, and continues putting in the work after all these years, and all these records he's set.

He's never settled.

Nor got complacent.

He's still hungry after all these years.

Says he wants to play till he's 45 -- which has never been done at his position.

If you want to be great, or considered the best, you better be ready to put in the work day after day, year after year after year.

Second point I want to bring up...

He's not big into lifting weights, but does enjoy studying film & breaking down defenses.

He's playing to his strengths.

As you can tell, it's worked out for him.

Being self aware was something I was awful at just a few years back.

Thanks to Gary V, he's brought it to the forefront of the entrepreneur community, I have improved significantly.

We should all play to our strengths.

We all have weaknesses.

I suck at 99.3% of things.

I try and focus my energy & efforts on my strengths.

You should do the same.

This isn't to say I do not work on some of my weaknesses, because I do.

Communication & leadership are two areas I am weak in, and continue working on those two areas.

Read books, listen to podcasts, apply the knowledge I'm gaining into my everyday life.

Let's just say...it's work in progress.

And it always will be.

Apply these two lessons form #12 and you'll likely double your sales

Who’s Rooting For You? Who Cares!

Who’s Rooting For You? Who Cares!

No one in the world expected that.

Not even people in the city of Clemson, South Carolina.

Last night, we saw Clemson absolutely pummel Alabama in the National Championship game.

My buddy Conrad is from South Carolina, but was cheering for Alabama (he's a South Carolina Game Cocks fan -- Clemson's biggest rival).

I bring this up because there is an incredibly valuable lesson we all can earn from it.

And it's this:

What's inside of you that won't let you do something?

What's inside of others that won't let the root for you?

They might be someone from your own state (an old friend), someone that you're close to, or even a family member.

You might assume they care about you, and are rooting you on.

But they might not be.

Don't let that stop you!

Don't let anyone get in your way from unleashing your greatness to the world.

You skills/experiences/life matter more than what others think about you.

Their support shouldn't determine how you do in the game.

Especially in the game of entrepreneurship.

3 Ways to Master Your Mind

3 Ways to Master Your Mind

In today's episode, I share how our church launched a brand new series called "Rewired: Change Your Mind. Change Your Life."

If you've listened to this show, you know I yap about mindset often.

The pastor said something along the lines that 90% of your daily battles are with yourself/mind.

I share 3 strategies (drop a few bonus ones as well) that I've used over the years to help master my mind.

These are all things that you can implement today, as they are very simple to do.

When practiced consistently, they are damn powerful, too.

Listen to Teddy Roosevelt When It Comes to Social Media

You’re likely guilty of it.

I most certainly am guilty of it.

And social media is to blame.

In today's episode, I reference a quote from Teddy Roosevelt, that you can apply to your life immediately to live a happier and more fulfilled life.

Now, it does take some practice to apply it, but will make all the difference.

Have a listen to the episode, and put this quote to use right away.

Success Relies on THIS

Success Relies on THIS

This is a topic I rap about a lot.

For good reason, too.

As it in the foundation for everything.

Not just in business, but in life.

Mastering your mind.

The fear of judgement....Self doubt...Imposter syndrome

That is what is likely holding you back.
You likely have enough information.

Shit, we're all just one Google search away from solving just about any problem we face.

Earlier today, I was chatting with my buddy Conrad, and told him about a crucial 3 word phrase that I wrote on my whiteboard 2-3 years ago.

It's essential for success, and I share it in this episode.

Why You Must Embrace Failure If You Want to Succeed | How to Embrace Failure

Why You Must Embrace Failure If You Want to Succeed | How to Embrace Failure

In this episode, I talk about something I actually really enjoy talking about...FAILURE!

Over the last 8 years, I have failed more times than I have succeeded. A lot more. It's probably a 5:1 ratio of fails to successes.

In the beginning days of being an entrepreneur I was scared, embarrassed and incredibly ashamed to even admit I failed. Nowadays, I find joy in sharing it, and you should embrace failure if you want to succeed. There is nothing to be ashamed of.

At least you took a swing at the plate and went for it. Sadly, most sit on the sidelines and watch. I like turning my "failures" into lessons and sharing with others.

If I can help one person avoid a silly mistake I made along the way (hence the reason for this channel), I have succeeded. That's how it's virtually impossible for me to fail.

Enjoy this episode on why embracing failure is your key to success.

How I Plan to Live (on) Forever

How I Plan to Live (on) Forever

How I Plan to Live (on) Forever

Last week, Internet marketer Alex Becker posted about how he is leaving social media.

This post got 500+ likes and a few hundred comments, and many seemed to agree with him.

I, however, did not.

Yesterday, I came across an older Gary Vaynerchuk video that talked about creating content, and kind of the opposite of what Alex was saying.

There is not a "right" or "wrong" here, merely just opinions.

Gary brought up a very interesting perspective on creating content, specifically YouTube content.

I share his insight in this episode, and one that all content creators need to strongly consider.

7 Powerful Words to Transform Your Life | A Lesson from Ed Mylett

7 Powerful Words to Transform Your Life | A Lesson from Ed Mylett

2 more curveballs 😡😡

Last Thursday, I hit a pot hole right outside Ava’s school.

Blew out the tire.

Changed the tire in the parking lot.

17 minutes from start to finish.

Competing against myself is my way of turning “lemons into lemonade”

Picked up the kids and came home.

Our family cat, Buddy, was nearly dead on the floor.

Took him to the vet and put him out of his misery.

It was NOT easy, and I was a mess.

I’m a cat person (long story) and got him in 2003.

The kids saw Daddy balling like a baby.

I think that’s healthy, and I tried to explain death to them

Ava somewhat understood.

Ashton did not.

He asked, “where’s kitty?” 78 times that night.

The big Man upstairs is testing me.

I have absolutely zero doubt BIG blessings are right around the corner.

Keeping the faith 😁

September was the hardest month of my life.

Life throws curveballs.

Sometimes one after another.

It’s 100% on you on how you react.

The first 30 seconds after hitting the pothole I started a

Some of you might be underwhelmed with what I share.

However, I am going to share a "brain dead" simple way to build instant trust with your marketplace, family, friends, etc.

It's so simple, but often times forgotten -- especially in the sales world.

I'll admit, the title of this episode coming from me...may seem odd.
