Woman of The Week: Shantell Sadberry
Shantell Sadberry, RN, BSN. is a New Orleans native and member of Dallas Professional Women that lives and services the greater Dallas area & surrounding cities. She received her education from UTA as a Registered Nurse and is a proud wife and mom in addition to being the Owner & CEO at LWNCCS, LLC.. She has worked in the healthcare industry for twelve years, while applying seven of those years towards recovering over 20,000 patients in her care.  Nursing is a natural fit for her since she takes pride in helping to heal and recover patients. Her passion for healthcare and wellness stems from her Christian faith and decided to embark on the journey of providing remote services to the community. She specializes in critical care and acute care while helping disadvantaged patients navigate through the healthcare billing process.  Patients often struggled with understanding their disease, medical terminology, medical testing and even one on one support. One study from NCBI shows that 50% of patients were readmitted for acute illness back into the hospital after 11 days of prior discharge, 19 % at 30 days and 34 % within 90 days. These numbers reflect the lack of education provided to the patient. Realizing that the nation's healthcare system is complex, leaving patients feeling exhausted and overwhelmed, Shantell helps streamline the path to wellness from start to finish. After extensive research and working side by side with patients, she realized her patients really needed genuine hand-holding through their disease process, illness or condition. Today she is proud to provide the service, attention and dedicated care to help North Texans feel better and establish a path to wellness and recovery.  Connect with Shantell for more information on services provided through Living Water Nurse Consulting and Coaching: Business phone:817-470-2633

Woman of the Week: Terri Broussard Williams
If community service were a gene, Terri inherited it. Because it’s in her blood, passed down from generations before her who had an unrelenting need to give to others. Like the time her grandparents orchestrated a church raising in their neighborhood when their community desperately needed one. And, then, after that church burned in a fire, when her father mobilized the community to rebuild it. Her childhood home became a respite for traveling priests, with Terri’s parents welcoming them in with a spirit of hospitality and kindness. Her mother serves as a member of the Parish Council today. But Terri’s love of service isn’t something she just passively inherited. It’s active in the fabric of everything she sets out to do. Her love of service has produced a life of accomplishments bigger than her – those that have helped shatter stereotypes, shake up institutions and change the course of human lives. Terri believes leaders turn moments into movements. In less than four decades on earth, Terri counts the following moments as movements that she’s been a part of, championed or accepted as her own. Each has defined her as a leader. #MovementMaker #FindYourFire #TerriBWilliams #WomensLeadership #DEI Website: Merch: Instagram:

Woman of the Week: Sadaf Haq
Sadaf Haq’s heart for ensuring Frisco grows and changes for the better, just like the people at the heart of it, is what makes her special. Born and raised outside of Bronx, N.Y., Ms. Haq and her family moved to Frisco after a gut feeling Ms. Haq had that North Dallas is where she and her family needed to be. She recalls, “Back in 2014, my husband had a fellowship opportunity in Pittsburg. The whole year we lived there, I kept telling him I really felt like North Dallas was where we needed to be. In 2015, I mentioned that if we ever planned to move to Texas, he would have to get his medical license to practice in Texas, which can take up to six months. I told him to go ahead and start on that, and he did. During those six months, multiple family members moved to Texas out of happenstance, and when we came to visit them, I instantly knew this was the place. My husband still looks back and does not understand how I had that sense.” Ms. Haq has her master’s degree in public health and is back in the workforce with her husband at his practice, Pain Management of North Dallas, where she does business development and administration work. Ms. Haq has always had a love for civic engagement, and she credits Frisco for making it easy to be civically engaged. “Once we got settled in, I got involved and the trajectory of the city has just skyrocketed. This level of service has been so fulfilling. I am now in my second term on the Social Services and Housing Board and that really opened up my eyes to the soft underbelly of Frisco,” she shares. Ms. Haq sits on a board for a Collin County Impact Council that also deals with mental health, social services, etc., and roles on those boards led her to apply for Leadership Frisco, where she now sits on the Advisory Council and has just been appointed to the Frisco Census Committee. After her time in Leadership Frisco, others began approaching her about future leadership opportunities and encouraged her to run for City Council, and she has since formed an exploratory committee. Ms. Haq shares, “It is a matter of realizing that no matter where you come from, no matter who you are, you are serving the people of Frisco. My message has always been one of inclusion and how we are not only American first, but we are Frisco first here.” The future is bright for Ms. Haq as she figures out a possible run for City Council and keeps venturing out of her comfort zone. “I believe God placed me in this position to make this decision and that He will guide me further.” To learn more about Sadaf, follow #ForSadaf, #ForFrisco, #ForIntegrity, #ForHonesty, #ForInclusion, #ForCommunity
