Episode 17 : Lazar Nelkovski, Grade 11 at UWC ISAK. Came from Macedonia to Japan, 9000km Journey. Grew up in lower middle class, in Macedonia, Skopje, where there is a huge political division between Macedonian majority and Albanian minority. Where he experiences discrimination based on hierarchy that people set out. Lazar's experience as minority and wish to create happiness always strives his life journey to make a world a better place. Selected as first ever national committee who is an artist, he has been organizing music concert in the city for three years, which 2000 people came to the concert in first year and 5000 people in third year including the young crowd who were protesting at the city. The strong hunger and wish shines in Japan. Hope to see Lazar's action to engrave Lazar's colour to ISAK. It was an great session which told me an beauty of diversity.

Episode 16 : Pietro Ciappelli, Grade 11 student at UWC ISAK JAPAN. Born and Grew up in Firenze in Italy, historical and artistic city. His dedication to music remains since very young age, growing up surronded by music community. Decision to apply to ISAK was not so meaningful as Pietro says "Why not go toJapan? since I liked their culture" His Dream is to get on the US chart and deliver his music to people. I am so excited to see his future journey to involve his community with music !

Episode 14 : Amine Itani, Grade 10 student at UWC ISAK JAPAN. Born and Grew up in Lebanon, Beirut. Growing up in the domestic international school, he always felt that something that make him think this wasn't the best place for himself. 2020 Beirut explosion gave a huge shock to Amine. He was alive luckliy as he was having vacation in France but his resident who live staris have dead, leaving him his great lesson. As Amine said "I felt that the life can end so quickly without your control, so you have to put 100% into what you are passionated." He founded "Project Sprout" after coming to ISAK, satellite imaging solution that helps local farmers assess their crops’ health. His mindset as a leader is "If you can't put 300% into the work you will give it to your team, you can't be a Leader". An exciting and asipring innovater !

日本の教育を変える!「総理大臣を目指して?」G10 Kenta Otake
Episode 13 : 大竹健太、UWC ISAK 在校生高校1年生。東京で生まれ、軽井沢で育つ。小学校・中学校は共に軽井沢の公立の学校に通う。幼稚園は園舎をもたない野外保育園「森のピッピ」に通い、「楽しいことを恐れずとにかくやってみる」という教育精神を元、自然と戯れ過ごす。そして、小学校・中学校に入ると、幼稚園とは真逆の日本の「与えられた事を完璧にこなせる人」を作り出す教育に疑問を持ち始め、逆風の中、挑戦の原点 : 英語部を立ち上げるなど、日本文化の「出る杭は打たれる」に立ち向かう。「自分の夢を見つけにISAKに来た」という言葉の通り、全力で考え、全力で挑戦する3年間を過ごしてほしい。

「誰もがイキイキと学ぶ社会を作ることを目指して」G10 Manaha Ueda
Episode 12 : 上田万葉、ISAK在校生高校1年生。福岡で生まれ、公立小学校・中学校で育つ。TVで見たミネルバ大学をきっかけに海外へ興味を持ち始める。ISAKのサマースクールで得た気づき「同じ日本人でも全然違う人がいる」・「人の多様性が豊富な環境に自分は身を置きたい」からISAKへ進学。ISAKに来てから食堂でご飯の大量廃棄を目にしフードウェイスト削減のプロジェクトを始め、軽井沢の様々なイベントに参加・企画している。今 UWC ISAKで一番勢いのある高校1年生の1人、最後に理想のリーダーシップ像について「私はスポットライトになりたい」と言っていたのが印象に残りました。是非お聞きください!

山田ゆうきさん、ISAK高校2年生。広島出身、親友の留学に伴い海外に目を向ける。現在の夢は、中学2年生の時に問題に目の当たりにした環境問題、プラスチック問題の解決につながる研究者になること。

Episode 8 | 世界の格差を医療で変える!途上国の現実を目の当たりにし育った未来の医師起業家! G11 Minori Nozaki
野崎みのり、ISAKの高校2年生。ザンビア三年、アメリカ一年、ミャンマーで5年。幼少期から世界各国を転々とし育つ。「自分より幼い少年が妹を引き連れゴミ拾いをしている姿を見ていかに自分が恵まれているかを意識して育った」というように、第二の故郷と話すミャンマーでの体験は今でも大事な思い出として心に記録されている。現在もクーデターが続く、ミャンマー情勢についても見解を述べる。途上国の医療発展に取り組む父を見て、幼い頃から医療の道に進むすことを志す、現在は勉強に励むかたわら、長年温めている医療業界に派遣制度を導入するというアイディア、国の間で技術交換と医療で社会を変えるイノベーションを起こす準備を着々と整えている。

Episode 7 | Tech Innovater & Photographer from Hong Kong G10 Bernard Lee
Berenard Lee, G10 student in ISAK. Born and raised in Hong Kong. The article about leadership education he read in 2020 was the beginning of his journey to ISAK. Moreover, we discussed the current situation in Hong Kong as Beijing's influence increases "25% of my classmates left the country," he said. Hong Kong is moving in an unexpected direction.
As a life-changing experience, he talked about a photography project focusing on capturing Hong Kong he worked on during the summer. "I learned that the most important element in photography is the message you want to deliver through the piece" Bernard takes dairy photography to the extraordinary picture.

Episode 6 | Future architect who will make innovative change on mexican social system. G10 Mayte Flores
Mayte Flores, G10 student in UWC ISAK JAPAN. Born and raised in Mexico. Her international journey began when she moved to Johannesburg, South Africa, in fifth grade. Not knowing English, her parents through her to an international school. The diverse environment in South Africa allowed her to notice how big the world is. However, also to truly recognize the gap between wealth and poor around the globe. Her current dream is to contribute to making Mexico an even better country from an architectural approach.

Episode 5 | Thoughtful filmmaker from Poland . . . G10 Mikolaj Florczak
Enrollment in boarding high school was the turning point of Mikolaj's life journey. At the place 100km away from his hometown, he began participating in a volunteer activity with numerous local NGOs; three years of life in unfamiliar lands expanded the scope of Mikolaj's perspective. Moreover, Mikolaj expressed his view on how Poland has started to build a long-term plan of integrating the Ukraine refuge into the local society. His passion is filmmaking; he creates various documentary films within his community, pursuing his dream to become a non-fictional filmmaker.

Alexis Rachel, G10 student in ISAK. Born and raised in Jakarta, Indonesia. Enrollment of MUN club at the secondary school woke up her hidden talent. She currently works as a writer in organization that publishes article to bridge international and local people. She also shared her point of view on Indonesia's strategy and effort on sustainability sector. She seek to pursue the path of "Law" to achieve Her dream to become politician and help people who are in need.

Emile Brozaityte, G10 student in ISAK. India trip she went for her 15th birthday was a total surprise and life-changing experience. Since then, she began to explore the issue around the world. Her current project is to set up a camp in Ukraine to help people who suffered from the war!

ISAKの高校一年生。中学校時代、日本の画一的な教育に疑問を抱き生徒会長となった。「町田から日本の教育を変える」という夢に向い、任期である1年間、地元の政治家と共にブラック校則廃止運動を実施。東京全体にも活動範囲を広げ都議会議員と東京全土のブラック校則廃止を働きかけた。4月から全廃される都立高校ブラック校則廃止運動の先駆者。
