Dance to Remembrance
By Dance to Remembrance
Self-Discovery is about un-becoming who you think you are and remembering who you really are! Letting go of the ‘shoulds’ and embracing truth and love instead of fear and illusions. This can be done through a process of unlayering, healing and fully trusting yourself, your higher power and being in a state of allowance. By shedding old outdated beliefs and patterns that keep you small.

We talk about the journey of self-love and how it's not an overnight accomplishment. It takes practice, patience and well....love and compassion!!

20. Are you engaging in shadow boxing?
Have you jumped into the shadow ring with someone close to you, only to realize that it's difficult to come to a conscious resolution while in the ring? This can look like attempting to prove your point or trying to get them to see your point of view, among other things. Ash and Stef chat about shadow boxing and how important it is to not lower your frequency and engage with others when they are in a triggered space. We know it's not easy, it's very natural so we share personal experiences and tips on how to be aware when you are in the shadow boxing ring and how you can avoid stepping in. If you are a woman and would like to attend the training live, join the DTR Soul Community and check the Events tab. If you are not able to attend live, send Stef a note (info@dancetoremembrance.com) and she'll get in touch with you on how to access it.

We share our own experiences of how comparison has affected our life as well as simple tools to shift out of comparison and into self-compassion. You are the best version of yourself, period. We invite you to drop the comparisons and embrace your true self, your love self.

18. Let's talk about shadow work
Join us as they open up the conversation about shadow work. This will be the first of many conversations because we both feel this work is necessary for our individual healing and we both incorporate it into our work. Shadow work doesn't have to be scary, but it is absolutely necessary to transmute our individual suffering as well as the collective suffering. We liked keeping it light and provide useful tools for those desiring to begin this work. We invite you to get playful and curious as you dance with your shadows and shine light on all parts of yourself.

14. What are you avoiding?
How often do you ask yourself the question, "What am I avoiding?" You might be surprised the depth of wisdom that comes from within with this simple, yet complex question. Ash and Stef dive into this question in today's episode. Avoidance can look like busyness, using vices rather than getting real with our feelings, blaming, and unwillingness to sit in our own energy. Sitting in our shit can stink and it can be uncomfortable to really sit with yourself, but this is part of the self-discovery and healing journey. Being open to sit with our shit will allow for massive transformations in your life. Are you ready to ask yourself this question?

13. Is being offended a state of judgment?
Today's episode gets intimate with you all as Ashli brings the question of "When you are offended, are you in judgment?" Stefanie and Ashli bring to you a "bathtub chat" where we have no conversation planned, just a question for each of us to contemplate. Enjoy the ride as we explore judgment, being annoyed, and how we can go deeper within ourselves to see where we are in fact in judgment of ourselves.
We offer a beautiful gentle challenge at the end where you can be in a state of observance of your judgments. Do this with compassion of love and resist the urge to judge yourself as you engage in this gentle challenge.

12. Experience the lows of self-discovery with grace
Join Stefanie and Ashli and we chat about experiencing and navigating the low points of our self-discovery journey. Self healing is so layered and when we give ourselves grace and compassion during the lower moments, we are opening ourselves to more expansion in our self-healing. The miracle moments emerge as we hold space for ourselves in those moments. We chat about giving ourselves permission to experience all of the emotions and not shove them down or judge them, then have compassion for our wounded self and choose to move forward in love.

10. Release yourself from other people's reactions to you
Join Stef and Ash as we navigate the concept of not being for everyone and how you are not responsible for other's reactions to you. You get to shine your light regardless of what others may feel or say about you. And this isn't always easy to do, we get it! Keep leaning in and building your confidence muscle around your worth without relying on other's responses and reactions to you. As long as you are coming from a space of love, you get to release what the other person is feeling. They get to have their experience and you get to have yours because there is no way that you're both having the same experience.
And if you find yourself in a triggered state because of something someone else has said or done, we invite you to pause and get curious about the trigger. Ask "why am I being bothered by this other person? Where am I not allowing myself to do that thing that triggered me?"
If you're wanting the Muscle Testing training that we chatted about in the episode, head over HERE! It's only $22 and can support you into tapping into your own divine intelligence and determine if you are in a triggered space or if your intentions are based in love or fear.

9. Navigating relationships through acceptance
We are so grateful to share this latest episode with you all. Join us as we navigate a conversation around honoring relationships while on your self-discovery journey. It is inevitable that relationships will shift after you start your journey. Anyone feel this?? We share personal stories of our navigating our own relationships and the not so pretty moments in the journey. I am reminded of the quote, "The only thing constant is change." Isn't that true for the self-discovery journey. Change is inevitable and relationships will shift. It is our intention that by sharing these parts of our journey, you can trust that you can navigate your relationships with love and acceptance. Those that are closest to us are our biggest teachers, are you willing to learn more about yourself while navigating these relationships? We all know there's no going back when you experience your awakening, so why not learn and grow along the way and feel the love and support from those in your life.
And if you're looking for your soul community, we invite you to come check out the DTR Soul Community for women. New website is up that outlines everything you'll experience, take a peek and see if your soul is saying yes! Dance to Remembrance.

8. The intent behind our actions
You may receive a little gut punch from today's episode as Ash & Stef explore the intention behind our actions. Are you giving out of love or are you giving out of obligation or expectation? We share some real life examples of how we have seen this show up in our own lives. Are you a people pleaser, making sure everyone around you is happy? What are you receiving because of your people pleasing actions? Taking accountability of when you do something for a reaction may be a big step that will allow you to shift into the presence and giving unconditionally. Love doesn't have conditions or expectations tied to it.
Our challenge from today's episode is to pause and ask yourself this question: Am I giving to give or am I giving to receive?
We cited the book Love is Letting Go of Fear by Gerald G. Jampolsky.
And we also shared a little bit more about the DTR Soul Community. If this resonates with you and you would like to learn more, head on over to our website, Dance to Remembrance.

7. Understanding the why behind anger
Today's episode is all about shifting the perception of anger. Join Ash & Stef in this conversation about understanding the why behind our anger. Why are we so afraid of anger and were we ever taught as young children how to effectively express anger. We believe that anger is a motivator for change. We invite you to take time and pause when the emotion of anger does come up for you and reflect on why you are feeling anger. Keeping asking why until you get to the underlying experience, trigger, or emotion behind the anger. Once you understand the why behind it, you can move forward with processing and conscious conversations. We also chat about parenting and how our children are great teachers of expressing all of their emotions, including anger. What can we learn from them? Move anger through your body. Throw a tantrum, scream, yell...just move it.
How have you used anger as a motivator for change in your life? We want to hear from you!

6. Exploring the need to be right
Where do you believe the need to be right stems from? Why do we desire to prove specific points in a conversation or get so hellbent on being right? Today's episode, Ash and Stef explore this topic and why we believe we have a deep desire to be right. We believe this desire comes from fear: the fear of failure, fear of disappointment and holding on to expectations. But the great news is that when we are curious about this desire and become more aware when we get into the "I am right tunnel", we can uncover the real motive or underlying healing that gets to occur when we take a moment to pause, step away from the conversation, then re-engage from a higher perspective. We each have the opportunity to witness our actions and become present to shift into love. hmmm....a common theme intertwined into our conversations! Shout out to the blog post that was talked about a couple times.

Self-Preservation at the cost of Self-Betrayal, this is trauma my friends. Ashli dives in a little deeper in this solo episode, as she vulnerably shares some of her own personal experiences in her childhood. Let's talk about what a "normal childhood" is and what was really happening behind closed doors. From people pleasing, dissociation, lack of boundaries and no idea how to emotionally regulate. You deserve to been seen, give yourself permission to get curios and start asking questions.
