Episode 42 - Master Your Mind in order to Master Your Stutter
The way I built my program, you go through 6 different modules in order to overcome your stutter. Dealing with stuttering my entire life, I have found what’s worked. The first step is to master your mind. You master the way you think. The second is to master your fear. You have to overcome your fears, your blocks and the things that hold you back. The third phase is to master your fluency and your influence...knowing how to speak in order to articulate your words. Fourth, I show you how to build a presentation, how to share your story and how to talk about yourself and your life. The fifth phase is how to master public speaking, whether it's on stage in front of a large audience or on a zoom meeting and how to actually speak with confidence, without fear and be able to articulate your words. Lastly, the sixth phase is how to master the art of socializing. In this episode, I want to discuss mastering your mind. If you can’t control what’s going on in your mind, you’re not going to be able to control your stutter. In order to control your stutter, you need to control your thoughts and the way you think. Mastering your mind is a vital skill set to achieve your goals in life. So grab a notebook and a pen & enjoy the episode! Hit me up on Instagram: @CEODanielFrancis

Episode 41 - Being Playful with Public Speaking: Interview with Melanie Levenberg
In this episode, I interview Melanie Levenberg. Melanie is the Co-Founder of Impact Entrepreneurs & CEO of PL3Y Inc. She is also an international speaker and TEDx presenter. Melanie helps entrepreneurs grow their businesses with purpose. What we discuss in this episode: Turning fear into excitement Being an outgoing person, she did not have any problems talking to 30 people at once. However, the notion of being on stage brought fear into Melanie‘s head. It was way beyond her comfort zone. It made her become a version of herself that she didn’t recognize, she experienced behaviors like nervousness and fear. Telling her story became so serious that she no longer found it fun. Melanie wondered how she can turn something serious into fun. Having Play in your life allows us to turn into better versions of ourselves, as we are more creative and connected. So Play was a rediscovery. Play is for anything that had been turned into something serious. Every human has a different way to express some joy or spark that they get that makes them feel more alive when they have some sort of Play in their life. For some people, this may be like sudoku, or being witty or sarcastic. It doesn’t have to be the traditional definition of play, therefore, there are so many different ways we can play. Shifting the energy of an entire room People tend to zone out when they watch someone on stage pass a 20-minute mark. So when speeches sometimes go a little bit longer even to an hour, there needs to be some sort of multimedia resource provided, for example, a presentation. So Melanie wanted to coach the audience into meeting with her. Melanie‘s purpose when it came to being on that stage, it was not for her, it was for the audience. That TEDx stage was the biggest she had been on, not in the sense of the number of people but in the sense of how significant it was. Usually, TEDTalks have the spotlight on the person speaking, and it is so bright that you can’t even see the audience. However, Melanie had them switch the spotlight from her and then to the audience so they could be in the spotlight as well. A huge part of public speaking is how you make the audience feel Melanie uses play in every aspect of her life. Whenever she feels energized as well as when she feels stressed. So, one of the moves that Melanie really likes is to shake a lot. Shaking your body is a great way to release stress. Think about it, a dog that jumps into water comes out and shakes its whole body in order to take the water off. Or if a gazelle is being chased by a lion and the gazelle gets away, The gazelle is just going to shake it off because it shakes off any tension. So if Melanie is in a situation that may be perceived as stressful, she literally likes to shake it off. There’s an element of fun and playfulness, and most importantly there is an energy shift. The state you are in, that’s how your audience perceives you. So you have to make sure that your energy levels are always high. You can have the most powerful, impactful message to deliver but if you’re not fully present in that situation, it’s not going to have the same effect as if you were 100% present. In other words, when you shake off the tension, at the same time you are gaining confidence. Grab a pen and a notebook & enjoy the show! Hit me up on Instagram: @CEODanielFrancis

Episode 40 - Overcoming Fear when Speaking: Interview with Arthur Smolarkiewicz
In this episode, I interview Arthur Smolarkiewicz, MBA, CPA, CMA. Arthur is the founder of the consulting and coaching company, Have the Edge. A man with an avid passion for helping people and organizations achieve their full potential, he assists business professionals and entrepreneurs reach new levels of business performance and personal excellence. People want to be perfectionists, so they want their speech to be perfect, but they have this fear that if they start speaking it won’t be perfect. And they continue to live with this belief system without even trying because of the fear that they have. Perfectionists can self-sabotage themselves because they avoid challenges to avoid failure. Perfectionists want to feel absolutely ready before taking on challenges. This can actually hold them back in life. Uncertainty is the number one reason why people don’t start businesses. Why they are afraid to do things in the future because they don’t know so they rather replay the same thing over and over and live their regular lives. You shouldn’t devote time to refining and perfecting your ideas when uncertainty is high and thus the risk of getting it completely wrong is very high. Our perception is controlled by our mental beliefs, in the sense that we have created in our mindset. Neurocognitive scientists have discovered that after you turn 30 years old you run on a preprogram at 95% at the subconscious level. The mind is a pervasive, powerful influence over such higher mental processes. At 30 years old, your brain will be at a point where its belief system has been so prominent. This means your thinking process will be too stubborn to learn how to change your mindset. It is crucial that the basics and the fundamentals of having a good mindset must be instilled and learned before 30. One big tip to help is meditation. When Arthur meditates, he separates the thought from emotion because a lot of the time it is the emotion that’s giving you the fear. When you separate the emotion from taught you separate the fear from logic. Enjoy the episode! Hit me up on Instagram: @CEODanielFrancis

Episode 39 - Reading is one of the Best Communication Workouts for your Daily Routine
In this episode, I want to break down why reading is so vital, not only for your mental health & mindset but also for your communication and your confidence. I noticed I’ve been collecting a lot of books recently. Not just collecting, but buying and reading much more than I usually do. Reading plays a huge role in your communication and public speaking abilities. I’m sure all of us do a lot of work-related reading. However, I find that reading books not directly related to our work is also required, especially books that help us become better versions of ourselves. One of the advantages of reading is that it engages various parts of your brain. When you read, you exercise your comprehension abilities and your analytical abilities. It fires up your imagination and stimulates the memory centers of your mind. It helps recall information as well as stabilize your emotions. Reading is one of the best mental workouts there is! So grab a pen & notebook because in this episode, you will learn not only why reading is so key, but also... How to start reading more? What kind of books should I read? What if I find the book boring? How to find good books? How to build a healthy habit of reading? How to build reading into my daily routine? I got this all covered! Enjoy the episode! Episode 32 - Fear is Not Real. Turn it Off & Take Action
In this episode, I talk about fear. Fear stands for: False Evidence Appearing Real. Fear is something you are making up when you’re worried about something happening. Fear comes from a negative mindset and fills you up with everything that can go wrong. What if you fill your head with all the positive things that will go right. Then this fear will turn into excitement. Everything all comes down to mindset. It is a fundamental rule for anything you want to succeed at. If you're overthinking a situation: “What if I mess up?” or “What if I fail?”…That’s just false evidence because you don't know. That could happen or that could not happen & have the mindset of whether it happens or not - I’m still going to do it! Believing in yourself is not listening to the fear inside your head that tells you to quit. By turning off fear, you can turn your greatest weakness into your greatest strength. Whether you want to overcome your stutter, be able to public speak, get better at communication, whatever it may be...to truly master something, it takes 10,000 hours. Don’t let fear stop you from attempting a new skill or going after a goal. Have some faith that when you take a step into the world, that the universe will also throw you a bit of a safety net to catch you. ⁣ Hit me up on Instagram: @CEODanielFrancis

We don’t do it because we start wondering if anyone really wants to hear our story. Ashley is here to tell you - your story matters. Storytelling is an important skill to have. Ashley literally built her brand by telling her story. It all started, when she entered a public speaking competition in June 2015. She was so scared that she was going to get vulnerable on stage since this was her first time ever speaking out loud. But this was when Ashley truly fell in love with the art of storytelling because she saw the impact it had - it opened up conversations. Storytelling is an extremely important skill to have because ultimately, it will build connections. When you’re on stage or in front of the room, the audience has no choice except to listen. This is why entrepreneurs need to be that person at the front of the room getting the attention. How to not lose people when storytelling Trying to fit in so many little details in a five-minute story is how you lose people. You have an entire life story but you also have a lot of mini-stories in between, this is key for the sake of a five-minute story. So you may not be always telling your story from beginning to end, you might just be telling a chapter. The thing is, sometimes what happens is when we get the opportunity to speak, we try and fit everything and then we lose people. And there wasn’t anything impactful about that at all because you can’t even fit in any message.

Episode 24 - Do Your Future Self a Favor & Put in the Work
My Secret is Simple - I Put in the Work. The idea of putting in the work - No book, no video, nothing will put in the work for you if you don’t put in the work yourself. Working and being productive is essential to achieving happiness. What does putting in the work mean for you? For myself, it means talking to people, communicating, public speaking, creating, presenting, teaching, mentoring, helping others, etc. What I am really doing is planting the seed for the future. Wherever you're at in your life, you have to be putting in the work. The best way to do this is to align with other people who put in the work. It’s all about updating your knowledge bank, challenging yourself with new things, getting on uncomfortable calls, sitting down with your notebook and creating ideas, etc. Do the work now so the future is brighter. Do your future self a favor. Stop procrastinating, get in your zone, and get the work done! You’ll become happier and more aligned with your goals! Go plant the seed!

Episode 21 - The Secret to Living a Fulfilling Life
On this episode, I discuss the methods and strategies to living a fulfilling life, and you can start applying these to your life today! Enjoy the episode. Hit me up on IG! @CEODanielFrancis ---Transcript--- What's up everyone, how's it going? This is Daniel Francis. And in this podcast, I'm going to be talking about, you know, big realization that I had recently of feeling good. I mean, it sounds very basic, it sounds very obvious. But you'll start to realize if you started implementing this correctly, that as you start feeling better about who you are and what you do on a daily basis, and I'll teach you some simple techniques you can start doing, you can start realizing the magic that starts getting created in your life. It's, it's something unbelievable, I've been doing it every single day. And you know, just forcing myself to feel as good as possible, as long as I can. And it's crazy, the attraction, the things that I bring into my life because of my feeling my best. It's unbelievable. So I'll get more into it in the podcast, I'll cue the intro, and then I'll see you there. The secret towards living a fulfilling life is truly, to feel good, to feel happy, to feel confident in your own skin. And, you know, this is something where we tend to complicate it as human beings, we tend to say, well, when things are, you know, you might do this consciously or unconsciously, but it's like when things are, you know, going well in your life, that's when you feel good, that's when you put a smile on your face, that's when you feel confident. And it's funny. Because we set the expectation and the game as well, only when good things happen to me, that's when I feel happy. And I hate to say that to save this. But if you live a life like this is going to be very difficult to really create big things and magical things in your life. There's a formula that I was taught from one of my mentors called be do have, which is, you know, you know, the first part of the equation is to be the person is to believe that you are that individual. And when you believe it, when you actually see yourself as that person, you'll start doing the work. And then from that, you'll actually get the result. But we tend to do the opposite, we tend to say, Well, when I have the result, I'll give an example. But when I have the result, then I'll do the work. And then I'll believe I'm the person. So it's like, you know, say you want to start up a business, right? You know, it's like, until I have a successful business, and I have it, then I'll y'all feel like the business owner, I'll feel like that successful CEO, I'll feel like I'm doing these big things, then I'll actually do the work. And then I'll really believe it. Because the result of it, having a successful business will then create my identity. And it's funny, that's not how you do it, you know, just like a manager, right? So you want to get promoted to become a manager or director. You know, when I first got promoted to a director, I believe that was worth one. I was I believe I was capable of one. And that's how I had it in my head. Like, I'm not just a manager, I'm not just a rep. I am a director, I can. I'm an executive. And I believe that even though I didn't have that on paper, and what I did was because I believed it, I put in the midnight oil, you know, or I sorry, I burned the midnight oil. I put in the work, I went above and beyond I did everything I could because I really believed it. I believed that I that position or that that individual was already within me. I just you know, time hasn't caught up yet. And because I believe that and I did the extra work and I did everything I did. I ended up you know, getting promoted.

Episode 5 - How I Help People Overcome Stuttering By Learning The Public Speaking Method.
In this podcast episode, I share my exact public speaking method of how I help people overcome stuttering. The program called Master Your Stutter, is my coaching program that solely focuses on teaching people who stutter the principles and methodologies of becoming a great public speaker. This method works because it allows someone who stutters to not just speak in the therapy room, or in comfortable situations, but rather it focuses on learning how to speak with confidence in uncomfortable situations. This method is not easy, but it's worth it. In my opinion, this is the fastest and quickest way to be a confident and fluent speaker because once you can master the art of public speaking, you can transfer these skills and abilities and be confident in front of anyone! It can give you the confidence and skills during an interview, on the phone, meeting strangers, and even ordering food off the menu! You don't want to miss this episode.  So enjoy the Podcast, and let me know what you think! If every successful athlete, musician, actor, public speaker, or CEO invests into coaching in order for them to be their best self, then why shouldn't someone who wants to master their stutter or become a confident speaker invest in a coach? I truly believe that in order to become the best version of YOU, it is important to have a coach that can take you to your next level in life! It is okay to say that you can't do everything on your own, and that you might need help, support, guidance, mentorship, and accountability! Episode 1 - The Aha Moment.
In this podcast episode I share my "Aha" moment of how I realized my stutter was truly a gift. I share my experience of when I was 13 years old and as I was reading a paragraph in class, the whole class ended up laughing at me because of my stutter. As I grew older, I started to understand that all the ambition, drive and motivation I had, actually came from the fact that I had a stutter! It forced me to truly work hard, and go after all my dreams and goals. Without all this drive and motivation, I wouldn't have been able to public speak on stages to thousands of people, and train and mentor 100s of sales reps on confidence &communication. Also, all of the personal development I did over the years on Mastering My Stutter, lead me to meet the love of my life and create a wonderful life for myself. If I didn't go through all of the difficult moments I had when I was younger, I wouldn't of had the ambition to go after what I want in life.  Listen closely to this episode, and ask yourself where you had the difficult moments in your life? How did you let that define you? Did you or can you use those hard times to fuel your motivation for life? Your stutter or communication difficulties is a gift, and once you realize that, you can ultimately change your perspective on the world and your stutter!  For more information: Daniel's Free Training -- Masteryourstutter.com   Daniel's Facebook Community -- The Overcoming Stuttering Facebook Community Daniel's Official Website -- officialdanielfrancis.com
