Season 1 Finale - EP 15
I've decided to put the podcast on hold for now, and this episode will explain why. This doesn't mean I'm disappearing, though; I'm just putting more effort into YouTube.

Why the Education System Isn't for Self-Employed People - EP14
If you want to work for yourself, you're going to need to learn a lot more than you think. But if you're relying on the education system to help you succeed, you might want to rethink that. In this podcast episode, I discuss why you should unlearn a lot of what you picked up at school.

Why You Should Work in a Full-Time Job Before Freelancing - EP 13
While plenty of people will tell you to quit your job and not look back, the reality is that you often need to be more pragmatic than that. Getting a full-time job can help you ensure that you don't end up in another one a few months after leaving, and there are plenty of reasons why.

My Plans for 2023 - EP 12
Right, we're back and ready for a big 2023. This week's podcast episode is quite short, and I just wanted to outline what you can expect from this podcast — along with other parts of the project — this year. As always, thanks for listening and leave a five-star review if you enjoyed it :)

2022 is almost at an end — and on a personal level, it's been a pretty transformative year. I have learned an awful lot about myself, along with the worlds of creativity and business. Should Creatives Go to University? - EP 10
Going to university is a big decision that many people make, but not everyone thinks about it in a rational manner. While some might benefit from going, that's not the case for everyone. It's also not the only way to enjoy a successful career in a creative field.
This podcast outlines whether you should go to uni as a creative or not, and I'll look at things from a rational perspective.

Job Security Is Dead 🙂 - EP 09
Look at this article: https://tech.co/news/tech-companies-layoffs
Are you now realising that you sticking in your job because it's the "safe" option is an even worse idea than you previously thought it was?
Job security is a myth that a lot of people tell themselves. It might have existed in decades gone by, but the world is a different place now. You're better off going your own way, and I will present my arguments for you to start thinking about delving from traditional employment in this podcast episode.

Six Weeks Without Instagram: Am I Going Back? - EP 08
In early Autumn, I made the decision to step back from Instagram. Overall, my experience away from the platform has been largely positive. With that in mind, do I see myself back on the platform?
In this episode, you'll learn about the biggest benefits I've had since deactivating. I will also mention the negatives, as there have been a few of them.

"Being Realistic" Is a Terrible Idea - EP 07
How many times have you been told to "be realistic" when you wanted to aim high? For the host of this podcast episode, the answer is "quite a lot". But while this advice may be well-intentioned, it's also very bad advice.
What's realistic differs from person to person, and the last thing you should want is a life that's "realistic" based on the lives of people that you have no desire to be like.
Aiming big, and working towards what you want to achieve, is a duty you have for the world and your family. We've seen how much things have changed over the past two-and-a-half years, and the perceived safety many people see from not rocking the boat has proven itself to be a mere illusion.

The "Highest-Paying Job" Myth - EP 06
Have you ever noticed that we're told to find the highest-paying job, without thinking about the actual number? People will proudly flaunt their salaries, while failing to mention that their living costs are dangerously close to breaking even — and in some cases, they outpace that particular paycheck.
In 2018, an individual in San Francisco earning $82,200 or less was considered "low income" for the area. That's according to this website: https://sfgov.org/scorecards/safety-net/poverty-san-francisco
This podcast episode is partially a rant, and partly me trying to explain why I think going for the highest-paying job, niche, or industry, is a dangerous path. I also seek to give you solutions, which — hopefully — will enable you to feel more fulfilled and also earn more money at the same time.

Why Creative Students Should Freelance While at University - EP 05
Today, the amount of opportunities to grow your career in a creative field are more than has ever previously been the case. And instead of getting a part-time job that you really don't like while studying, freelancing can offer a much better way to make money for writers, designers, photographers, and so on. The work you do is relevant to your degree, you'll likely earn more than would otherwise have been the case, and you'll make valuable connections as well.
In this episode, we explore the main reasons why creative students should freelance while at university. On top of that, you'll also learn a couple of handy tips for finding freelance jobs. Don't forget to follow along and give us a 5* review if you enjoyed listening and found some value :)

Creating Space for Your Creativity - EP 04
Right, welcome back to another episode of the Doing Stuff Podcast. In this week's episode, we're talking about creating room for your creativity — and why it's important.
Regardless of what you do for work, having a creative outlet is a good idea. It can help work different parts of your brain, and it's also a good way to improve your mental wellbeing. This episode is pretty short, but I hope you found some value from it :)

You Should Strongly Consider Adopting Digital Minimalism - EP 03
Okay, this episode was kind of a last-minute idea. I have decided to take a(nother) break from Instagram; this time, it's indefinite.
With a week gone so far, the benefits have been astronomical. Adopting digital minimalism is, in my opinion, an excellent way to declutter your mind and free up more time to focus on the things that matter to you. You can also get your projects completed in a more efficient manner, which is nice.

Do You Need Social Media to Succeed as a Freelance Writer? - EP 02
When starting a freelance writing business, getting your name out there is a good idea. And when you read a lot of advice online, you'll see many people tell you to start a social media account. Is it actually necessary to have one, though? Are there alternatives?
In this podcast episode, we dive into all of the above.

What You Can Expect From This Podcast Going Forward - EP 01
Right, yeah — I'm starting another podcast.
