Origins: George Velez
Continuing from our great interview from last week, writer/director George Velez sits down and gives us his origins. Though he may feel like this is just the beginning of his long career, that story goes even further back than he knows. Enjoy this episode and I look forward to talking to you all next week.
George Velez
Talented film director and friend of the podcast George Velez stopped by the studio today. So we grabbed him and put him in front of a mic for an impromptu interview to talk about his career, what he's working on now and what it's like being a cinephile.
On this break from our normal business talk we get to see how another artist grows their brand and stays busy in their industry.
Risks/Job that Got Me Here
Will Smith once said "At the peak of maximum danger is also the point of minimum fear." Risks can be daunting but we all take them. Today we talk about the extent I was willing to go to succeed and about risk/reward factor that drives innovation. I also speak about the job that got me to the position I am today and how it changed my career trajectory.
Support Systems/Clients
The biggest thing to a stress free owner (If that exists) is a great support system. Having those in your corner that you can lean on emotionally during tough times. We also talk about client relationships and how trust goes a long way in getting more business.
