I could talk too long about how this verse has helped me, how crazy it is that it is written from a dingy dungeon of a cavelike jail cell by an embattled man, the Apostle Paul---but alas it is so beautifully simple it doesn't need all of that!

If you want to have a pure mind, a pure heart, a wholesome life existence devoid of some of the consequence of the sins, intrigues and dramas that follow us around when we lie, cheat, steal, gossip, moan and complain…

WELL THEN…Simply, look deeply into God and especially His Son, Jesus Christ… And you will love it!

This is such a good verse! One that should be memorized, COMMITTED to memory, meditated upon and used repeatedly and reflexively for the rest of your life. If you don’t know this verse, KNOW IT NOW! Learn it today and never forget it, pass it on to others, it is GOLD for your life.

PRESS ON! That’s the SIMPLE message of this week’s midweek BOOST! PRESS ON. Don’t give up, don’t let go, dont get knocked off the path of your faith by the world’s preoccupation with sin and judging YOU and YOUR beliefs, don’t get knocked over by the religious hypocrites who are so concerned with EVERYTHING that Jesus is NOT concerned with. This mid-week boost will get you back on track, baby!

Paul had it all, then he lost it all, then he got a different all. It "all" started with the question: "Is it worth it?" Have you ever asked your self that? "Is it worth being a Christian?" Is it worth the funny looks, the persecution and the missed opportunities? I hope this Boost episode answers that question for you.

Imagine Paul's situation. He needs someone he can trust. So do you! These kind of people are usually found doing the work of the Gospel. That's where you will find them too.

Written from a prison cell, Paul gives a nearly impossible challenge to stop complaining about everything. What would life be like if we did this? How is this even achievable? Is it possible that we complain so much because it's impossible to get what we want from the things we want?

What if we REALLY made it all about JESUS? Philippians 2:5-11 is beautiful and often over-complicated or just presented as "wow, ain't this pretty?" But inside the inspiring flowery words is a challenge to BE LIKE JESUS and "have this mind among yourselves" that Jesus HAD! Can you do it? I think you can. Should you? Oh yeah!
