I also created this podcast to clear the confusion about so much regarding this area as while there has never been so much freely available information there has never been so many lies, untruths, false information and fake experts. Now´s the time for the truth to be revealed about everything!!

In this episode of The MindBodyHealth Podcast I interview Dr James Timmons PhD who is an Exercise Specialist with 10 years of Strength and Conditioning experience working with clinical populations. He received his BSc in Sport and Exercise Science from the University College Dublin in 2012, MSc in Strength and Conditioning from the University of Edinburgh in 2013, and PhD from University College Dublin in 2018. His doctoral studies focussed on exercise training and dietary strategies to support improvements in body composition and physical function in older adults. While carrying out his PhD, he also worked as an exercise specialist in Medfit Proactive Healthcare where his focus was on improving muscle mass, strength and function in adults over the age of 65.

In this episode of The MindBodyHealth Podcast I interview Dr Nitu Bajekal who is a highly respected consultant Gynaecologist and a women's health specialist with over 35 years experience.  Dr Nitu provides both holistic and medical care for women with a variety of health concerns.  She has a specific expertise and passion in areas such as PCOS, painful periods, menopause and such important issues regarding women's health.  She has now co-authored "Living PCOS FREE" with her daughter and it's a book that is making a hugely positive impact.  These are areas that need to be taken much more seriously and better understood by both men and women and education is the key.    

In this podcast episode Dr Nitu clarifies what each condition is.  We also discuss the importance of taking personal responsibility for one's health and wellbeing and how all conditions, diseases and ailments are lifestyle related and hence why the starting point needs to always be looking at one's lifestyle and seeing where one can make positive improvements.  The medical route is always an important option but one must look at their lifestyle first for cause and to make improvements.  We also speak about the power of adopting a wholefood plant based lifestyle and destroy some myths around soya and more.

In this episode of The MindBodyHealth Podcast I speak to you about how to stop fear being the main driver of your life.  Far too many people live lives that ultimately end consumed with regret. This is sad.  Fear is False Evidence Appearing Real.  You must stop letting it lead your life.  Fear is what stops most people from making decisions and taking actions that most likely would improve their lives and realise their goals. Unfortunately most choose to stay where they are familiar and feel safe and is their comfort zone. This is such a huge mistake.  You can be, do and experience anything you want in life so why not just go for it? What is the worst that can happen?  If you are unhappy or unfulfilled what logic is there to stay there? Is it really worth staying in comfort zone versus taking the perceived "risk" of stepping forward? The irony is that the real "risk" is in staying where you are because it guarantees a mediocre, unfulfilling, regret filled and unhappy existence. The most important type happiness and the one that will ultimately decide if you can be truly happy or not.  Life is for living fully and life is an opportunity to experience incredible happiness. In this episode of The MindBodyHealth Podcast I interview Fiona Oakes (and I mustn't forget the star of the show Percy!!). Despite having a knee replacement and no knee cap from the age of 17, and being told she would never walk properly again, Fiona holds 4 Guinness World Records in the marathon and is the fastest woman to run a marathon on all 7 continents and the North Pole.  Fiona's why in all these accomplishments is for the animals. Fiona has been vegan nearly 50 years and started Tower Hill Stables Animal Sanctuary in 1993 with the aim of providing love, care and a forever home to previously unwanted or rescued animals, both domestic and ex-farm. The sanctuary now provides a home to around 600 animals.  Keegan Kuhn, Co-director of Cowspiracy and What The Health featured Fiona's life and work and accomplishments in his film "Running For Good" in 2018.  If you are looking for inspiration then this episode will provide it.  Fiona for me is one of the most humble people I have ever met and for me she is one of the truest "humans" I know.  I've admired this woman for many years and have had the pleasure to share stage with her on many occasions and to now count her as a friend.  This episode is packed with stories, tips, inspiration and more.

It positively impacts all areas of your life and you become nearly invincible and inpenetrable emotionally.  Most people are living lives that are mediocre at best.  However we all have unlimited potential and can all experience true happiness but it's possibility will be determined by your level of self love.  How do you increase your level of self love?  It's actually quite easy but takes time and consistency and a commitment to becoming the best version of you.  This should be a given anyway but too many aimlessly live their lives oblivious to the impact of all their thoughts, decisions, actions and behaviours. In this episode of The MindBodyHealth Podcast I ask the important question : why is prevention never talked about and addressed.  My focus is primarily relating to diseases and all illnesses but can also be used about any of the many problems in the world.   In this podcast I tell you straight facts about how doctors are now no more than autographers on pharma conveyor belt.  There is no profit in healthy people hence why you don´t hear about preventative measures and only treatment and worse only treatment via medication.  This applies to any issue.  It´s time for people to wake up to reality of how the world works and to start taking personal responsibilty for their own health and wellbeing and to realise that prevention is entirely in their hands.  Everyone should be doing all they can to prevent diseases. Instead we live in a world where majority live lifestyles that create disease and then are given pills to treat.  It´s time to change.

In this episode of The MindBodyHealth Podcast I speak about veganism and why it doesn´t guarantee health like so many like or want to think.  Veganism is a lifestyle choice but that doesn´t guarantee that the nutritional choices are serving optimal health.  For far too many it doesn´t.  Just being vegan doesn´t mean you are healthy.  There are so many factors that impact this including your food and beverage choices.  In this episode of the podcast I speak about my near 10 years living a vegan lifestyle and how I have done so successfully and thrived. I also clarify just exactly why some people do so unsuccessfully and why it´s nothing to do with veganism not working for them but more down to their choices in adopting this lifestyle.   You are what you eat as the saying goes and it´s no different with veganism.  A lifestyle choice does not guarantee health.

However this is increasingly rare in the fast paced, stress induced, hamster wheel and keeping up with the the Jones´Society we now live in.  Most rarely take time to stop and think about the direction they are going and the power of gratitude has been lost. Do you realise the amount of things you have to be grateful for? It´s quite startling really if you just took time to think about it.   Society conditions you to keep aiming for a bar that supposedly will bring you true happiness but it´s just a myth and the reality is that you already have so much happiness you can unlock if you just used the power of gratitude.  Take the time to listen to this podcast and take in what I am saying and implement what I urge you to do.
