David Batkins, a dedicated law enforcement veteran, embarked on his journey with Newport News Police Dept. in 1981, evolving into a skilled K-9 handler. With over four decades of experience, he's made his mark in Narcotics, CID, and Auto Theft divisions, gaining recognition as Trooper of The Year. An avid outdoorsman, David treasures family time and embraces adventures.

David Batkins loves helping keep the commonwealth of Virginia safe. He is a resource officer at a local school, where he spends much of his time making sure the students are safe. He plans to retire within the next few years and live close to the beach so he can spend more time outdoors with his family. David Batkins studied at the Thomas Nelson Community College and gained an Associate's Degree in Police Science.

David Batkins is a veteran of the law enforcement sector and was a prominent member of the most successful criminal interdiction team in the commonwealth of Virginia until July 2004. David Batkins deferred his retirement to join CSX RR as a Special Agent in Virginia. David Batkins is a law enforcement expert who has spent around 35 years as a Firearms Instructor. He is keen to promote safe firearm usage and is proud of the impact which his work has. David Batkins is keen to continue this work as it is extremely beneficial to law enforcement.

David Batkins has worked in law enforcement for 40 years and is passionate about continuing to succeed and train others in the profession. As a licensed firearms instructor, David Batkins is keen to promote safe firearm usage among his fellow law enforcement professionals. He plans to retire within the next decade.

David Batkins and his K-9 partner, King apprehended numerous burglary suspects as well as tracking and locating missing people. David Batkins worked as a Trooper on the Eastern Shore of Virginia during which time he made several successful interdiction stops before gaining promotion. David’s most successful stop was the seizure of $114,170 in unclaimed currency, a small amount of cocaine, untaxed liquor and an illegal firearm. Information was developed that these persons were part of an international drug ring that were moving multiple loads of cocaine across the country, The Assistant United States Attorney (ASSA) adopted and successfully prosecuted the case.
