EP 65: It Can't End Like This - Helena Garcia
Helena Garcia is a violinist who began to notice a pain in her pinky whilst playing. Like any musician, she ignored it until it got worse. Much, much worse. To the point of her not being able to lift her instrument.⁣ ⁣ She went to different physios and doctors, got a bunch of x-rays and MRIs that came back clean, and was told: “maybe violin isn’t for you”. She eventually listened to Dea Nicaj’s podcast, and it gave her hope.⁣ ⁣ Fast forward a few months, and she’s back to playing.⁣ ⁣ If this sounds like you, then take action. I want to help you, but I can’t help you if I don’t hear from you. EP 62: From Pain To Playing - Narmeen Mustafa
Narmeen Mustafa is living proof of overcoming pain as a result of playing her instrument. She had pain in her wrist and thumb about one year ago. She started to blame herself and question whether or not she should continue the violin.  Narmeen reached out to me and we began work together. She was amazingly consistent, she adapted the mindset of how every problem has a solution. She stuck to her exercises, and now only has residual feelings in her wrists.  If Narmeen's story sounds like yours, then take action. She so expertly explains why trying to play through an injury is often a risk that a musician serious about their long-term career should highly consider.
