Discovering Your Mandate in the Lord's House
Title: "Discovering Your Mandate in the Lord's House" Date: October 1st, 2023 Location: Deliverance Church - Ngong Road Introduction: Welcome to our Sunday livestream, where we gather as one family in Christ, both online and in person. We embark on a journey to explore the topic: "Discovering Your Mandate in the Lord's House." Key Scriptures: 1 Chronicles 36:14-21 (NLT), 1 Corinthians 12:4-11. Today, we'll draw inspiration from the lessons of history, the faith of our forebears, and the call to discover our individual mandates within the body of Christ. I. Learning from History: A. Unfaithfulness and Desecration of the Temple (1 Chronicles 36:14-15) B. Consequences of Unfaithfulness (1 Chronicles 36:16-21) C. The Fall of Jerusalem and the Babylonian Exile (Jeremiah 52:12-15) II. Men of Understanding: A. Daniel's Understanding of Prophecy (Daniel 9:1-2) B. The Power of Prayer (Daniel 9:3) C. Daniel's Prayer of Repentance (Daniel 9:4-19) D. The Revelation of the Messiah (Daniel 9:23-27) III. Building and Restoring: A. Wall Builders and Restorers (Nehemiah 2:17-18) B. The Importance of Records and Establishing God's Law (Ezra 5:17) C. Ezra's Dedication to Studying and Teaching God's Law (Ezra 7:10-12) VII. Re-establishing Worship, Priesthood, and Order: A. Malachi's Message on Tithing and Serving God (Malachi 3:10) B. Return to God's Ways (Malachi 3:7-8) C. The Blessings of Obedience Conclusion: Brothers and sisters, we are a growing church, and each of us has a unique mandate within the Lord's house. 1 Corinthians 12:4-11 teaches us that we are part of one body, and we all have different gifts. Let us seek God's guidance to discover our mandate and serve with love. The harvest is plentiful, but the laborers are few. Let us be the laborers who honor God in all we do and fulfill our mandates. Join us in prayer and reflection as we seek to discover and fulfill our individual mandates within the body of Christ. ... Fear Not, God will Provide For The Task (Part 2)
Rev. Richard Kimani taught us about Embracing God's Transformative Call We read from the book of Judges 6:1-20 - The book of Judges highlights a recurring cycle of Israel's disobedience, suffering, repentance, and God's deliverance. - Our focus today is on Gideon's encounter with God's transformative call. Key Notes 📝 1. God's Gracious and Merciful Nature: - Israel's disobedience led to seven years of oppression under Midianites. - Despite their rebellion, God's grace and mercy shine through. - Our challenges don't define God's nature; He seeks to restore and deliver. 2. Our Identity vs. God's Perspective: - Gideon's introduction as a "mighty man of valor" seems at odds with his circumstances. - What you call yourself is not what God calls you. - Our identity is rooted in God's perspective, not our shortcomings. 3. Equipped for the Task: - God's call is accompanied by His empowerment. - Gideon questioned his ability, but God assured him of His presence. - The God who calls you will also equip you. 4. Confronting Laziness and Exploring Giftings: - God's call requires action, not complacency. - Laziness can hinder us from fulfilling God's purpose. - Gideon's story teaches us to explore the giftings God has bestowed upon us. 5. Embracing God's View of Our Identity: - Gideon's self-doubt was rooted in his perception of himself. - God's view of us is far greater than we imagine. - What you think you are is not what God thinks you are. What we should do - Embrace your true identity in God's eyes. - Recognize that God's call on your life is accompanied by His provision and empowerment. - Don't let laziness or self-doubt hinder you from stepping into God's purpose. - Explore and utilize the giftings that God has placed within you. Conclusion: - Just as God transformed Gideon's identity and empowered him, He can transform us. - Our response to God's call shapes our destiny and impacts those around us. - Let's leave today with a renewed understanding of God's transformative call and a determination to embrace it fully. #dcngongrd #deliverancechurchngongroad ... Four marks of a spirit filled church
Acts 9:31-35 Jesus is alive and he was given all the power and authority in heaven and on Earth.
Traits of a spirit filled church:
- Peace and unity. God wants us to be united.
- Power.
Manifestation of the Holy Spirit
- Healing power. Physical, emotional and spiritual healing: the wounded and unsaved come and find healing and redemption.
- Transformational power. We are transformed in the likeness of Christ and empowered to serve God. We need to feed on the word of God.
- Purity. 1 Corinthians 3:10. God wants his church to be sanctified and purified.
- Passion: For Christ. For the Lost. Seek the Lost and preach to them. A true Christian must be a Christianizer. A spirit filled Christian is filled with passion and compassion for the Lost.

YouthTalk #3 The Faithfulness of God
Youth Talk #3 with Deacon Victor and Brother Mark
Title: The Faithfulness of God
The Power of the Blood of Jesus
The power of the blood of Jesus
Without the blood, nothing can exist. For there to be life, there must be blood (Leviticus 17:11). We have the blood of Jesus which is life and we are beneficiaries of it. The blood had provided everything we require for example protection and healing and the authority over the devil. The blood is key for our redemption and our walk with the Lord (Deuteronomy 8:2-3)
Benefits of the blood
- The blood of Jesus has power to redeem us (Ephesians 1:7)
- Through the blood of Jesus, we have fellowship with God and access to the throne room of God (Hebrews 10:19-22)
- Through the blood of Jesus, we have received healing (Isaiah 53:4-5)
- Through the blood of Jesus we have protection (Exodus 12:12-14)
- Through the blood of Jesus, we have authority over the devil (Revelations 12:10-11)
The Church is the Solution
This is only a precursor of the end times. This did not happen behind our God's back. We should not fear because we believe God and we can face any situation with the Lord. The Lord has promised to be by our side.
Christ is aware of what is happening in the world and has a solution, because everything was placed under His feet and He was made head over all things for the church. Christ is the answer to all our problems, but we as believers have our share of responsibilities on his Earth. (Matthew 4:13-15) without the church there would be nothing that is pleasant to humanity. We as the salt are the flavor that the world requires.
Without the believers(salt), the Earth would decay. Anyone who believes in Christ, He is capable of transforming them to become variable solutions that mankind faces. We are the condition that the earth requires to be healed and we are the answers to the problem being faced. Our role as believers is important and we need to rise up as the church and take our position.
2 Chronicles 7:13-14
Fear Not Part 4 - Why we Cannot Loose this Battle
This is a battle because we know as children of God, we must face battles.
- We are not alone in this battle. We are with Jesus Christ because he is the one who started it. Jesus Christ has already approved of our battle therefore we cannot loose. He has also confirmed that the church will not loose. (Matthew 16:18)
- Jesus has already laid the foundation. We are built upon apostles and prophets thus the foundation is firm and strong. Our faith in Jesus is that foundation that is built upon the foundation of the apostles. (Ephesians 2:19-20)
- He finished the battle. We are been reminded that before the cross, we were dead in our own sins but on the day Jesus died, God made us alive in Christ. Christ disarmed all principalities which were against us and made a public spectacle of them and triumphed over them. (Colossians 2: 13-15)
- Christ was placed head over everything and he became everything for the church. The church is made up of the believers (you and I) who had been called out from the darkness, dead from our trespasses. Nothing can prevail over us for we are winners. (Ephesians 1:22)
- If Christ won the battle, we have also won the battle. We are not of this Earth for we are sojourners. Whatever Christ has conquered on this earth, we have also conquered whatever it is. We are seated with Christ in the heavenly realm far above all principalities and there is nothing that can prevail over us. (Ephesians 2:6)
Romans 8:31 - if God is for us, who then can trespass against us.
Easter Message: How the Death of Jesus Benefited Us
Easter Message: How the Death of Jesus Benefited Us
- Jesus took our (Baranabus) place and we took his place. In Him we are the righteousness of God.
- Jesus took our curse. When Adam sinned, the earth was cursed to produce thorns. When they gave Jesus the crown of thrones. Gal 3:13. Today we are free from that curse. Everyone that hangs on a tree is cursed. Today you are not cursed but are free.
- Jesus clothed you and me. Jesus has clothed us with garment of salvation and a robe of righteousness. At the cross, he covered our shame of nakedness.
- The curtain at the temple was torn from.the top to the bottom. this means that heaven was open for humanity.
- The curtain at the temple was torn from.the top to the bottom. this means that heaven was open for humanity. We can now enter into His presence. We can enter into the Holy of Holies.
