'The Taste of a Place' food guides told you where to find good food and wine in Corfu, Mallorca and Andalucia. I was chuffed they were recommended by The Observer, The Times, and Delia Smith Online, amongst others. I co-wrote 'Seasonal Spanish Food' with London based, Spanish chef Jose Pizarro (shortlisted for 3 different awards). Theresa Carle-Sanders (Castle Rock Kitchen: Wicked Good Recipes from the World of Stephen King) Season 8 Episode 14
Theresa Carle-Sanders (Castle Rock Kitchen: Wicked Good Recipes from the World of Stephen King) Season 8 Episode 14
Bio: About Theresa Carle-Sanders Outlander Kitchen was born in early 2010, on a walk in the woods with the dog. A scene from Voyager popped spontaneously into my head, where, several characters share a plate of rolls filled with minced pigeon and truffles. Outlander Kitchen: The Official Outlander Companion Cookbook was published in 2016 by Delacorte Press of Penguin Random House. Outlander Kitchen - To the New World and Back Again: The Second Official Outlander Companion Cookbook was published in 2020. Writing a fictional cookbook begins with reading. In the case of my next project, Castle Rock Kitchen, Stephen King’s library kept me busy reading for six months solid and then, intermittently, for another two years while the project came together. Born and raised on the opposite coast, in Vancouver, BC, Canada, I must confess that I’ve been to Maine only once, in 2008, a year after the death of my father. I joined a silent retreat where I gave myself the space to look forward after months of remembrance and grief. The six days I spent southwest of Bangor changed my life. Fourteen years on, I am the author of two Outlander Kitchen cookbooks, and have completed this, my third fiction-inspired collection of recipes. Caroline Wright (1234 Cake, Cookie Truck, Soup Club) Well Seasoned Librarian Season 8 Episode 5
Bio Caroline Wright is a cook, writer and terminal brain cancer patient. During her undergraduate education in Paris, Caroline was inspired to turn a life-long interest and passion for food into a career. Caroline attended the La Varenne culinary program with Anne Willan in Burgundy, then started her career writing and styling recipes as a food editor for Martha Stewart’s Everyday Food magazine, which folded in 2012. Her original recipes have appeared in a variety of national magazines since, including Cooking Light, Southern Living, Every Day with Rachael Ray, Real Simple and Health. While writing articles, she authored three cookbooks: Twenty Dollar, Twenty-Minute Meals (Workman 2013) and Cake Magic! (Workman 2016), two personal books that capture her fresh and friendly recipe style, plus another that transformed the recipes of a Catalan chef and restauranteur into home cooking, Catalan Food (Clarkson Potter 2018). Then, in 2017, Caroline was diagnosed with terminal brain cancer. After her diagnosis, Caroline shifted her diet, started a vegan soup club for her friends in Seattle who cooked for her when she was sick. She began writing personal essays regularly about her cancer as it relates to food on her blog called “The Wright Recipes,” as well as on other major online publications including Food52, The Kitchn and Bon Appétit.  She wrote a children’s book for her sons about her enduring love, entitled “Lasting Love,” published by Rodale Kids (a Random House imprint) in August 2019, and has another children’s series about baking by HarperCollins called Little Bakers that was released in Fall 2021. Caroline lives in Seattle, Washington with her family. I teach in-person and virtual workshops on sourdough bread and other delicious treats, whole grain pie crust and sourdough cinnamon rolls.  You can find my first book (my diary of living and loving at a wood-fired bakery in the mountains) A Baker’s Year, wherever books are sold and you can now pre-order my second book, Flour Power, now!
