By Dear Little One
The Dear Little One podcast is meant to help start your week on the right foot with words and quotes of inspiration that will encourage you to live life with positive self-talk and self-compassion. When we feel good because of that state that we’re in, we’re more likely to be more understanding of what we’ve been through and how we feel.

"NOW WHAT?" –A Little Something About Direction
Napoleon Hill said, "You can't change where you started, but you can change the direction you're going. It's not what you are going to do, but it's what you're doing now that counts."
If you feel a little lost, remember that it's okay to take a moment and step back and decide on what you want. If you already have that figured out, take a moment to go over your goals again. Motivate yourself to take another step, then another, and another.

Pull Yourself Together
Remember that if you feel like you need to remind yourself who you are, you can. There are so many opportunities to do that. Gather all your pieces and hold them together tightly. Get control of your actions and emotions, and get your ducks in a row. I could go on and on with more idioms, but I won't. Though, I will say this. You were not born to mope; you were born to cope.

Let's Talk About Progress
We say it all the time. Progress is progress, no matter how slow or small. You'll see progress every day if you keep going at it. Don't expect to get there right away. The next time you feel like you're not making progress or not achieving your goals, pause. Take a moment. Breathe, and know that despite the down days and the worst of the worst days, you're strong. Remember where you get your strength and security. --- Check out our media partner: ambidextr.media

Connecting Despite the Distance
COVID-19 has allowed us to see the value of keeping in touch, how some relationships couldn't have worked out in the long run and how important staying connected with your loved ones is. In times when we're troubled and need someone to talk to, we turn to our friends or family or seek a strong, familiar bond. How do you stay connected despite the distance? --- Check out our media partner: ambidextr.media

Pursuing a Passion Project
What are you interested in creating or doing? What is something that you feel like would give you a sense of fulfillment, but wouldn't feel like an obligation? Perhaps it's what helps you manage your stress and helps you focus. In this week's feature episode, with our guest Jody Solis, we're diving into what a passion project is, how to start it, recharging once we feel a little demotivated, and taking that first step. --- Check out our media partner: ambidextr.media

Dealing With Doubt
You might be going through something right now that makes you reflect on where you are and where you're going. Remember that despite your doubts, there's something you can do. You can deal with it. Trust yourself. Have faith in yourself, and remember the good stuff. Norman Vincent Peale said, "Have faith in your abilities! Without humble but reasonable confidence in your powers, you can't be successful or happy." Own what you got and believe in yourself! This week, remember that if you ever face doubt, hold on to your faith and remember to be grateful for all that has, is, and will be.

Unloading Life's Pressures
You know that feeling when you feel like you've been carrying the weight of the world on your shoulders? You feel heavy as if someone or something is weighing you down. When we are overwhelmed with responsibilities and opportunities, we are most likely to experience massive amounts of pressure. At moments like this, we feel like our lives need unloading. When the pressures of life become too much to handle, it's easy to fall and get knocked over. Les Brown said, "When life knocks you down, try to land on your back. Because if you can look up, you can get up. Let your reason get you back up."

Then Why Worry?
We tend to worry a lot, and it turns into a cycle. When we worry, we focus on what will happen when we fail. Unless you've reshaped your thinking of failure as a way of learning, you will continue to focus on what could go wrong in your life. Matthew 6:34 says, "Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own." This week, take time to set aside your worries. Don't give in to the cycle of everything that went and could go wrong.

Pacing Through Change
As much as we'd like to, we can't change events, especially the ones that are beyond our control. The best thing to do is really to accept what's happening and try to adapt in whatever way you can to the change that's taking place. There's a quote that says, "forward is forward, no matter what pace." In this episode, my good friend Joey Angsingco opens up about how she's been able to pace herself through change.

When Things Don't Make Sense
Not everything seems so clear right now, but eventually, it will all come together, and you'll see why some things didn't work out, most especially if it's what you planned and what you wanted. Know that when God doesn't give you the answers and the life that you want, He gives you what is necessary, in ways that you least expect. Accept that you're not always going to get the answers that you want to sew your ease in life together. You don't need to have everything figured out for you to continue living your life.

A Great Taste of Life
You have a great life to live. Give it breath. It's not too late for you. This week, remember that when we think positively toward life, it changes how we see the world and how we end up living every day. Get a taste of each moment, no matter how brief.

Gratitude from Growth
Growth is a universal principle that helps us recognize the meaning of life. We all need to grow and become something more than what we are. We involve ourselves in projects and passions that are sometimes even bigger than ourselves. This week, tell yourself this: "As I focus on good things, good things will happen for me. I am thankful for what I have because it's what I have now. I am grateful for experiences that help me grow, and life is full of them."

Not There Yet
"It's not working. It's taking a long time. I'm not enough of what I want to be, and I'm not where I expected to be by now." Before you start making another long list of why it can't and won't work out, recognize where you are now and how much it took to get there. You are strong, and you're not about to throw away everything you've worked hard to get.

Finding Comfort in Uncertainty
It takes a change in perspective to find comfort in uncertainty. We don't know what the world holds for us. There are a lot of things we would love to try, but we are afraid to take the plunge. Christopher Lamzon had a great career ahead of him. When he left a job he loved, he thought everything would work out for him right away. Unfortunately, things didn't quite go as planned. In this episode, he talks about how he embraced uncertainty, welcomed opportunities, and learned more about himself and his personal growth.

In The Middle
We often hate it when life becomes complicated. We want the beautiful beginnings and the empowering endings. Can't we skip through the mess in the middle? If only it were that easy.
In the middle, we become demotivated and experience pressure and burnout. Take time to revisit your goals and go back to why you started in the first place.

Staying On Track
We're not always going to wake up with a winning attitude, but that doesn't mean we've given up. We all struggle to stay on track, but you don't have to skim your way through life. You have so much to look forward to even beyond your goals and the finish line. Here's a cliché: when you feel like quitting, think about why you started.

Cut Out For It
We often give up too early in the situation because we feel like we're probably just not cut out for it. Imagine if you allowed everything wrong in your life to become the reason why you won't challenge your potential, or allowed every mean comment to determine that you're not "cut out" for something. Give yourself a chance and see where life takes you.

Living With Intention
We've all once started something but quickly lost interest and motivation throughout the journey. In this episode, my dear friend Iana Ilaya talks about how living life with intention has helped her keep up with her job and business with her partner.

Sometimes the Answer is "No"
The good thing about a "no" in life is that there are so many opportunities for growth. There is always an upside to anything if you're willing to see it. If something doesn't work out for you, that doesn't disqualify you from all the other chances you can take. Sometimes a "no" means a "not right now," a "not for you," or a "not this time."

When Life Touches You
Remember to give yourself a reason every day on why you are capable! You are stronger and bigger than the circumstances. Instead of feeling crushed, decide that you're going to crush it, and allow life to touch you.

When You Feel Like You've Lost Control
This week, it might be tough, but try to let go of situations you can't manage. Focus on how you take them in, and how you react to them instead. We miss out on so many opportunities to let loose and grow if we're stuck overthinking and overanalyzing circumstances that are beyond our control.

Things Can Get Better
Each day, we have a chance to make things better. In many aspects, a chance to do better, feel better and live better. Changing and reframing your mindset can help make it happen.

Creating Space in Your Life
What do you do to create space for yourself? I asked one of my good friends Ynna Vistal about how she commits time for herself through her love of spoken poetry amid the pandemic. Creating space doesn’t only apply to the physical location and environment. It could also mean ways of creating emotional security within ourselves when we feel like things are too much handle.

What You Say to Yourself and Why it Matters
The very moment you wake up, what is it that you say to yourself? What do you tell yourself as you begin another shift at work? How do you speak to yourself when you encounter an unexpected problem or challenge? Sometimes we may feel sad, frustrated, lonely, and heartbroken, and we may also have all the reasons to feel that way. The question is, how do we not allow negativity to become an infestation? The first word I associated myself with was optimism. Positive self-talk can teach you to see the possibility instead of the problem. There is a heart in the hurt, grit in the grind, and faith in the failure.
