The New Grandfamily

I have a Special Guest on this episode and she will share her insights on how she is Resilient and what that looks like in the world today.  I feel as though I have been preparing for these trials in life since I was a little girl, thanks MOM for all you taught me!

Many grandparents that are raising grandchildren are also dealing with the bio parent who is in active addiction.  I will share my experience with this along with what the 2 sides of that coin really look like and if there are ever any winners!  Caution:  there may be triggers associated with this episode.

In this episode, I share my experience with behavioral issues that seem absolutely impossible.  I will share what I did to redirect behaviors and start to get to the root of the emotions that cause what is deemed bad behavior.  For children with trauma induced PTSD, it can seem like walking through a mine field.  It is important to understand the whole picture and have an open mind!

To each grandparent that is raising their grandchild(ren) it is different.  But most of us start in denial of the new life we have taken on.  You are NOT alone and I hope you take a few moments of your day and listen.  You will see we all have been there at one point in our journey!
