Yes! Life is hard, especially marriage and parenting. Hard work always reaps rewards. A good marriage with great children is the most rewarding life you can experience!

Do not be Anxious!  Do Not be Afraid!

Luke 12:25-31   "Who of you by worrying can add a single hour to your life?"

Have you ever asked, "Where is God? We need you!" while experiencing a tsunami of problems?

Parents in the news. Yes, we are responsible for how we train them. They do have free will, but you can raise your child to avoid bad behaviors that will ruin their lives.

Don't expect your child to figure out their toys. Teach them how to play and then encourage Creativity.

"A child is born with a need for love and he will never outgrow it."

When life has overwhelmed you, what is the most powerful thing you can do? What do you need? How will you survive?

In answer to several questions about Parenting Secrets #14, I explain "HOW" to parent conflicts with Honesty.

When you lie or deceive your child, they will either refuse to believe the good things you say, or they will hate you and refuse your advice on anything.

Adults love holidays, but they can quickly turn into chaos if you don't plan or prepare for your children's needs.

Paul & Silas survive an earthquake. We are currently suffering the same hardships they faced. But...God was with them and his love was shown in their darkest night!

Good discipline should teach your child right from wrong. Your teaching should never involve others outside your immediate family. Don't ask friends and family to allow you to ruin their day just so you can make a parenting point.

I don't like the words "Stupid or Moron" but unfortunately when someone sounds foolish - that's what I think.

If you use discipline to manipulate your child, it will turn out badly. Don't make your child a slave to you whims and wishes!

It feels as if everyone is out to capture the hearts of our children. Parents face a Tsunami of problems. We are in a fight that we must win - and we can!

Where does unresolved anger go? It stays with your child, festers, and ruins their life.

Every mom or stay-at-home Dad is a CEO of the Future. When you release a mature, intelligent, well-adjusted child into our society, you will change the future!

I share an example of why we should talk to our children.

You should have conversations with your children even when they are too small to talk. Hearing your voice will create a bond that will help them converse with you later. It's a great asset when your child can converse with you and others they meet. Conversational skills are also a link to learning in all areas of life.

When you become pregnant, you need to have a Parenting Contract. While you are waiting for that child to be born, it's about you or the fun you may have together. You will change our society by how you decide to raise your child. Make a plan for success.

Are there reasons some prayers aren't answered?

Ephesians 3: 14-21  For this reason I kneel before the Father, from whom every family in heaven and on earth derives its name. I pray that out of his glorious riches he may strengthen you with power through his Spirit in your inner being, so that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith. And I pray that you, being rooted and established in love, may have power, together with all the Lord’s holy people, to grasp how wide and long and high and deep is the love of Christ, and to know this love that surpasses knowledge—that you may be filled to the measure of all the fullness of God. Now to him who is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine, according to his power that is at work within us, to him be glory in the church and in Christ Jesus throughout all generations, forever and ever!  Amen.

What do you need to be successful during tough times?  You must not only believe in your plan, you must get up and get moving!

James 1:22-25   “Do not merely listen to the word, and so deceive yourselves.  Do what it says.  Anyone who listens to the word but does not do what it says is like someone who looks at his face in a mirror and, after looking at himself, goes away and immediately forgets what he looks like.  But whoever looks intently into the perfect law that gives freedom, and continues in it—not forgetting what they have heard, but doing it—they will be blessed in what they do.

I give you 6 things to consider as we begin preparing to calm America's Storms

Galatians 6: 7-10  "Do not be deceived: God cannot be mocked.  A man reaps what he sows.  Whoever sows to please their flesh, from the flesh will reap destruction; whoever sows to please the Spirit, from the Spirit will reap eternal life.  Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up.  Therefore, as we have opportunity, let us do good to all people, especially to those who belong to the family of believers."

How can you survive the darkness of winter when you long for the Spring?

Isaiah 58: 8-9  “Then your light will break forth like the dawn, and your healing will quickly appear; then your righteousness will go before you, and the glory of the Lord will be your rear guard.  Then you will call, and the Lord will answer; you will cry for help, and he will say:  Here I Am.”

When you are anxious about all the storms that are brewing, remember that The Color of Hope is Green.

Matthew 6:25-34  “Therefore I tell you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat or drink; or about your body, what you will wear.  Is not life more than food, and the body more than clothes? Look at the birds of the air; they do not sow or reap or store away in barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not much more valuable than they? Can any one of you by worrying add a single hour to your life? And why do you worry about clothes? See how the flowers of the field grow. They do not labor or spin. Yet I tell you that not even Solomon in all his splendor was dressed like one of these. If that is how God clothes the grass of the field, which is here today and tomorrow is thrown into the fire, will he not much more clothe you—you of little faith? So do not worry, saying, ‘What shall we eat?’ or ‘What shall we drink?’ or ‘What shall we wear?’ For the pagans run after all these things, and your heavenly Father knows that you need them. But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well. Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own.

Many people try to be happy and yet they aren't.  In this episode I teach you how to be happy regardless of your circumstances.

Psalm 37:4-7   "Take delight in the Lord, and he will give you the desires of your heart.  Commit your way to the Lord; trust in him and he will do this:  He will make your righteous reward shine like the dawn, your vindication like the Monday sun.  Be still before the Lord and wait patiently for him; do not fret when people succeed in their ways, when they carry out their wicked schemes."

We discuss how we can prepare for the coming storm that is building in America and around the world.

Matthew 24:7-8  Nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom.  There will be famines and earthquakes in various places.  All these are the beginning of birth pains.  

You can be successful no matter what you face.  Go for the success that won't let you down.  Prepare for the future and your entire life - not just a portion.

Joshua 1: 5-9  “No one will be able to stand against you all the days of your life. As I was with Moses, so I will be with you; I will never leave you nor forsake you. Be strong and courageous, because you will lead these people to inherit the land I swore to their ancestors to give them. Be strong and very courageous. Be careful to obey all the law my servant Moses gave you; do not turn from it to the right or to the left, that you may be successful wherever you go.  Keep this Book of the Law always on your lips; meditate on it day and night, so that you may be careful to do everything written in it.  Then you will be prosperous and successful.  Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged, for the Lord your God will be with you wherever you go.”

With all the evil circumstances in America, we desperately need Revival.  We need to point others to our loving Savior, Jesus Christ.  

Do you hear Jesus?  He is calling you.  How will you respond?

Psalm 85: 1-7  "You Lord, showed favor to your land; you restored the fortunes of Jacob.  You forgave the iniquity of your people and covered all their sins.  You set aside all your wrath and turned from your fierce anger.  Restore us again, God our Savior, and put away your displeasure toward us.  Will you be angry with us forever?  Will you prolong your anger through all generations?  Will you not revive us again, that your people may rejoice in you?  Show us your unfailing love, Lord, and grant us your salvation."

Revelation 3:19-22  "Those whom I love I rebuke and discipline.  So be earnest and repent.  Here I am!  I stand at the door and knock.  If anyone hears my voice and opens the door, I will come in and eat with that person, and they with me.  To the one who is victorious, I will give the right to sit with me on my throne, just as I was victorious and sat down with my Father on his drone.  Whoever has ears, let them hear what the Spirit says to the churches."

Christians must be concerned about our Government and our vote.  We need a "free" America in order to proclaim the love of Jesus.

Acts 5:29  Peter and the other apostles replied: "We must obey God rather than human beings!"

Exodus 20:2-3  "I am the Lord thy God, which have brought thee out of the land of Egypt, out of the house of bondage.  Thou shalt have no other gods before me."  

God needs a strong Army to carry out his work.  We must be strong in mind, body and spirit.

1 Corinthians 1:10  "I appeal to you, brothers and sisters, in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, that all of you agree with one another in what you say and that there be no divisions among you, but that you be perfectly united in mind and thought."

Mark 5:34  "He said to her "Daughter, your faith has healed you.  Go in peace and be freed from your suffering."

Mark 5:1-5  "They went across the lake to the region of the Gerasenes.  When Jesus got out of the boat, a man with an impure spirit came from the tombs to meet him.  This man lived in the tombs, and no one could bind him anymore, not even with a chain.  For he had often been chained hand and foot, but he tore the chains apart and broke the iron on his feet.  No one was strong enough to subdue him.  Night and day among the tombs and in the hills he would cry out and cut himself with stones."

John 13:14-16  "Now the I, your Lord and Teacher, have washed your feet, you also should wash one another's feet.  I have set you an example that you should do as I have done for you.  Very truly I tell you, no servant is greater than his master, nor is a messenger greater than the one who sent him.  Now that you know these things, you will be blessed if you do them."

Proverbs 23:12  "Apply your heart to instruction, and your ears to words of knowledge.

Proverbs 22:6   "Train up a child in the way he should go, and when he is old he will not depart from it."

Colossians 3:23-24  "Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord, not for human masters, since you know that you will receive an inheritance from the Lord as a reward.  It is the Lord Christ you are serving."

Ephesians 2:10  "We are God's handiwork, creating in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do."

Are you discouraged or afraid?  Music can lift you and bring you peace.

Psalm 150: 1-6   "Praise the Lord!  Praise God in his sanctuary; praise him in his mighty heavens! Praise him for his mighty deeds; praise him according to his excellent greatness!  Praise him with trumpet sound;  praise him with lute and harp!  Praise him with tambourine and dance; praise him with strings and pipe!  Praise him with sounding cymbals; praise him with loud clashing cymbals!  Let everything that has breath praise the Lord!"

Colossians 3:16  "Let the message of Christ dwell among you richly as you teach and admonish one another with all wisdom through psalms, hymns, and songs from the Spirit, singing to God with gratitude in your hearts."

Does your pastor feel that he is "Called" by Jesus to serve your congregation?

John 10:11-5  "I am the good shepherd.  The good shepherd lays down his life for the sheep.  The hired hand is not the shepherd and does not own the sheep.  So when he sees the wolf coming, he abandons the sheep and runs away.  Then the wolf attacks the flock and scatters it.  The man runs away because he is a hired hand and cares nothing for the sheep.  I am the good shepherd; I know my sheep and my sheep know me just as the Father knows me and I know the Father -- and I lay down my life for the sheep."

Day 14  A grateful heart  1 Thesalonians 5:16-18  "Rejoice always, pray continually, give thanks in all circumstances; for this is God's will for you in Christ Jesus."

Day 15  Perfect your vision  Psalm 146:8  "The Lord gives sight to the blind, the Lord lifts up those who are bowed dow, the Lord loves the righteous."

T-A-R is an acronym for "Things Are Rough"  You can survive when things are rough.  Do not be afraid!  Do not be terrified!

Deuteronomy 31:6-8  "Be Strong and courageous.  Do not be afraid or terrified because of them, for the Lord your God goes with you; he will never leave you nor forsake you  Then Moses summoned Joshua and said to him in the presence of all Israel, Be strong and courageous, for you must go with this people into the land that the Lord swore to their ancestors to give them, and you must divide it among them as their inheritance.  The Lord himself goes before you and will be with you; he will never leave you nor forsake you.  Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged."

Ron and I were hospitalized.  He was not expected to live.  God had a different plan for then and for our lives going forward.  

We need prayer for America.  We need God to help us move forward.  

America is suffering.  Violence, suffering, discouragement, fear and an overall feeling of doom has captivated America.  The Christian does not fight with a sword, we fight with prayer, good deed, compassion, honest information and the power of God's love.

Psalm 144:1-2  "Blessed be the Lord, ,my rock, who trains my hands for war, and my fingers for battle;  he is my steadfast love and my fortress, my stronghold and my deliverer, my shield and he in whom I take refuge."  

You can't build anything on a lie.  It's like trying to nail jello to the wall.  It will fail.  Adolf Hitler murdered over 6 million jews and almost conquered Europe because of his lies.  He said, "If you tell a big enough lie and tell it frequently enough, it will be believed."

Luke 21:14-15  "Make up your mind not to worry beforehand how you will defend yourselves.  For I will give you words and wisdom that none of your adversaries will be able to resist or contradict."

If you are feeling anxious or depressed today, I promise, there is a path to peace.

Psalm 23  "The LORD is my shepherd, I shall not be in want. He makes me lie down in green pastures, he leads me beside quiet waters, he restores my soul. He guides me in paths of righteousness for his name's sake. Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil, for you are with me; your rod and your staff, they comfort me. You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies. You anoint my head with oil; my cup overflows. Surely goodness and love will follow me all the days of my life, and I will dwell in the house of the LORD forever."

While thousands of books have been written on prayer, Debbie will discuss how God looks at our prayers and why some receive a "yes" and others received a "no". 

1 John 5:14-15   This is the confidence we have toward him, that if we ask anything according to his will he hears us.  And if we know that he hears us in whatever we ask, we know that we have the requests that we have asked of him."

Jesus was not kind to the Priests and Pharisees.  Are we supposed to label sin or to look the other way?

John 8:44 (Jesus talking to the Pharisees)  "You belong to your father, the devil, and you want to carry out your father's desires.  He was a murderer from the beginning, not holding to the truth, for there is no truth in him.  When he lies, he speaks his native language, for he is a liar and the father of lies."

Discouragement can bring anyone down.  Encouragement will lift your spirits and help you to succeed.

Philippians 4:8  "Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things."  

Building your life on a lie is the same as trying to nail jello to the wall.  It will not work!

Matthew 10:16  "I am sending you out like sheep among wolves.  Therefore be as shrewd as snakes and as innocent as doves."

Fear can be physical, emotional, or psychological.  It can be a ridiculous, imaginary, pure-and-simple lie -- but if we feel threatened; we will experience fear.

2 Timothy 1:7  "God has not given us a spirit o fear, but of power and of loe and of a sound mind."
