Listen as Victoria Mann and Deborah Fielding chat about keeping yourself in optimum health during COVID-19 and other huge times in our lives.

 Victoria graduated from King’s College London in 2011 with a Masters degree in Dietetics and practiced as a Registered Dietitian within the NHS from 2011-2018. Victoria started her career as a Dietitian at the Heart of England NHS Foundation Trust. Here she gained a vast array of experience in the medical nutritional therapy of various diseases including heart disease, stroke, cancer and diabetes. She spent time working in the Weight Management & Bariatric surgery team working with both groups and individuals aiming to lose weight and improve their health.

In 2013 Victoria moved back to her home city of Oxford and joined Oxford University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust. This was a split role spending half her week seeing patients who wanted to lose weight for health reasons and half her week working with patients who had been diagnosed with cancer. She then moved into a senior role as a Macmillan Advanced Dietitian. Providing specialist care for people diagnosed with cancer. 

In 2018 she left the NHS to follow her passion for health promotion. She qualified as a Personal Trainer and now offers a private Dietetic service in Oxford as well as working as a Personal Trainer.

Victoria is now in a unique position to be able to offer professional dietary advice alongside exercise advice to a wide variety of clients both online and in person.

Gary Avis MBE of The Royal Ballet

English dancer Gary Avis MBE is Senior Ballet Master and a Principal Character Artist of The Royal Ballet. He joined the Company in 1989 and was promoted to Soloist in 1995 and to Principal Character Artist in 2005. He was made Assistant Ballet Master in 2007 and Ballet Master during the 2009/10 Season, promoted to Senior Ballet Master in 2019. His many roles with the Company include almost all the male Principal Character roles, including Drosselmeyer (The Nutcracker), Von Rothbart (Swan Lake) and Step-Sister (Cinderella). He has created many roles for The Royal Ballet. Gary is a giver with a big heart and it was a pleasure to sit and chat with him in the Ampi-theatre at the Royal Opera House.
