•ABOUT BROOKE•

Brooke Robertson has redemption stories to tell, and with her Burtonwood Records debut album Taking My Voice Back, she's sharing them with the world. This small town-raised Louisiana girl joins pop sensibilities and country soulfulness together with her pure vocal tone and heartfelt lyrics, crafting songs centered on the ways God's redemption weaves its way through all our life experiences-- both heartache and hope.

Brooke's captivating musical storytelling results in tracks like the title cut "Taking My Voice Back," a song centered on Brooke's personal story of forgiveness healing the wounds of sexual abuse from her childhood. Other highlights from the 11 track debut, include the song of surrender "Why Are You Waiting," which features Jason Roy (Building 429). "Purpose for the Pain" stands out as Brooke's thank you to her mom, who endured health complications that threatened both of their lives during pregnancy and the resulting lifelong effects. Allowing Brooke to be here to tell the stories she's singing today..... Taking My Voice Back was produced by Jeremy Holderfield (Seventh Day Slumber) and is available everywhere right now.

How to Find Hope Again (Reflections 9)

How to Find Hope Again (Reflections 9)

What do you do when you've lost hope? It's not an easy question to answer, but something we all struggle with at some point. Today Cristabelle is sharing a passage of scripture that has changed how she looks at hope, and also some practical tools on how to apply it to your life. Sometimes, it takes bravery to choose hope.

"But this I call to mind,
and therefore I have hope:
The steadfast love of the Lord never ceases;
his mercies never come to an end;
they are new every morning;
great is your faithfulness.
'The Lord is my portion,' says my soul,
'therefore I will hope in him.'"
Lamentations 3:21-24

Racism: Listen, Learn, Act (Reflections 8)

Racism: Listen, Learn, Act (Reflections 8)

Let’s have a real conversation about racism in America.

Today, Cristabelle is joined by special guests Christa Deánā & Zichari Young for an eye-opening conversation about being black in America, the systemic racism that is still happening today, and how our generation has the opportunity to make a difference.

ABOUT CHRISTA:
Christa Deánā is an award-winning singer/songwriter, worship leader, speaker, educator, podcast host, YouTuber, and CEO of ChristaCourt Music Group. With a goal to make music that impacts the world, her music is being played in 52 countries, including charting in the top 5 gospel music charts in Nigeria. Christa is not only known for her talent, but also for her authenticity and bubbly, kind-hearted personality. She sings with passion from the heart and writes her own music. With each song, the listener is invited to step into a vulnerable and honest space where healing meets music. She has made the cover of MusicLovers Magazine, performed at Philadelphia’s 2019 Juneteenth Festival, and has been featured on major Spotify editorial playlists, including Fresh Gospel.
Drawing from her own experiences as a musician and educator, she writes music in response to a need for more art that calls humanity to move beyond passive existence and into her mantra of, “H.O.P.E”, which she defines as, “health, optimism, power and experience.” In pursuit of this endeavor, Christa Deana also shares this message of purpose through her podcast entitled “In the World, Not of It”, as well as her YouTube channel, where she challenges others to live by their faith and not by sight. She also collaborates with artists from other countries including Jamaica, Japan, and Nigeria. She took home the Kindred Awards for Regional Christian Music award for Best R&B Artist in 2017 and Artist of the Year in 2019. Christa Deana truly shines for Christ as she lives out her message each and every day, on and off stage. It is her desire that each word and musical note will serve as a healing modality for the listener that calls them to pursue their optimum health physically, mentally, emotionally, and spiritually.
