Sutta Study: What the Buddha Taught His Son
Christie Bates of Deep South Dharma studies Majjhima Nikāya Sutta 62, The Great Exhortation to Rāhula.  When speaking to his son, the Buddha's meditation instruction - at least in this Sutta - begins and ends with non-identification and certain qualities of heart, including lovingkindness/good will.
