Harnessing the Shadow Mind and Disrupting Attachment Theory with Thais Gibson

Harnessing the Shadow Mind and Disrupting Attachment Theory with Thais Gibson

Hello and welcome to 'Unlearn Everything' Dive into the fascinating world of psychology with Thais Gibson as she explores the concept of harnessing the shadow mind and disrupting attachment theory. Join us as we uncover powerful insights into understanding and transforming the depths of the human psyche. Gain valuable knowledge and practical techniques to navigate the complexities of your mind and relationships. Don't miss out on this enlightening discussion that promises to expand your understanding of self and others QUESTIONS 1. Thais, in your experience, how often do you find that our 'inner shadows' are actually masquerading as societal or family expectations we've unwittingly accepted as our own truths?" 2. We talk a lot about 'breaking free' from our subconscious patterns, but how do we navigate the discomfort and the backlash that inevitably follows when we start pushing against the norm?" 3. Why do you think our society, that prides itself on progress and individuality, is so reluctant to embrace the concept of exploring and harnessing the shadow mind?" 4. It seems like 'Attachment Theory' makes some people uncomfortable, probably because it forces us to examine our childhood experiences and past traumas. Can you talk about why this discomfort is necessary, and perhaps even beneficial, in our journey to self-discovery?" 5. Thais, you've helped millions of people confront their inner shadows through your work. But let's flip the script for a moment – can you share an instance where your own shadows came to the fore during your professional journey, and how you harnessed that for your personal growth?" 💥Visit Our Social media💥 ✅Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/fusionphotog/ ✅Pinterest: https://www.pinterest.com/fusionphotog/ ✅Twitter: https://twitter.com/FusionPhotog ✅Watch our latest Videos✅ ◀Transformation Through Ancient Wisdom: Unlearning to Reclaim Your Power with Jeff Buehner: https://youtu.be/3CJmmFzBLBA?si=vkYqFMdOUBWzg8ko ◀Unearthing Hidden Histories with Matt LaCroix | Unlearn Everything Podcast: https://youtu.be/aTQFSiokcoY?si=xpOeVtdc0acZzSnj ◀Breaking the Chains: Escaping the prison of our own habits: https://youtu.be/NLivbbNhlxg?si=VJKuCiSLuh6w0H9j #ShadowMind#AttachmentTheory#PsychologyInsights#SelfAwareness#MindfulLiving#EmotionalHealth#PersonalGrowth#Relationships#ThaisGibson#MindTransformation

Transformation Through Ancient Wisdom: Unlearning to Reclaim Your Power with Jeff Buehner

Transformation Through Ancient Wisdom: Unlearning to Reclaim Your Power with Jeff Buehner

🎙️ Hey, Unlearn Everything tribe! Deevo back with an extraordinary episode that's about to blow your mind. Today, we're diving deep into the realm of ancient wisdom with the incredible Jeff Buehner, a spiritual teacher and coach who's not your typical guru but more of an "intellectual spirit."📘 Jeff's teachings, encapsulated in his book "The Sultan's Seven Secrets," are nothing short of captivating and profound. Get ready for a journey that can significantly transform your life.

🚀 Jeff shares his awe-inspiring journey from a manual laborer to tripling his income in just eight months. The key, he says, lies in recognizing the subconscious mind's control over our lives and seizing it for transformative change. According to Jeff, we all have two bodies and two minds, and he's here to unravel the mysteries behind them.

📖 In the heart of our conversation, Jeff deciphers the essence of Sultan Musa of Mali's story from his book – a man sealed in a cave, encountering a being made of light and love who imparts wisdom about life, death, and the duality within us. Jeff preaches the importance of letting go of old paradigms and embracing new perspectives.

💪 Throughout our dialogue, Jeff hammers home the power of feelings and how our subconscious mind is calibrated based on them, ultimately shaping the trajectory of our lives. It's a revelation you won't want to miss.

🌈 As we wrap up, Deevo picks Jeff's brain for actionable insights. Jeff's golden nugget: imagine situations not as they are, but as you want them to be. Imagination, he argues, is a powerful tool to reshape reality. Detach from the constraints of the present and embrace the imaginary world where your desires manifest.✨

Welcome, everyone, to another episode of "A Little Impolite," where the vibes are high, the topics are fresh, and yes, we sometimes toss the rule book right out the window.

Today, we have a captivating guest whose journey takes us beyond the veil through profound near-death experiences. Joining us today is the extraordinary Sharon Sananda Kumara. Sharon shares her unique experiences and insights that bridge the spiritual and physical worlds. We can't help but be intrigued by her three cool names, leaving me curious about not having three cool names myself.

From childhood, Sharon exhibited a remarkable connection to the metaphysical, sharing vivid memories of seeing spirits and experiencing psychic phenomena. These encounters, including a poignant moment surrounding her grandfather's passing, ignited her curiosity about life beyond the physical realm. We explore how her Catholic upbringing influenced her interpretation of these experiences and beliefs.

Sharon unveils a pivotal moment in 2001, when a tubing trip in San Antonio took a dramatic turn. She recounts the heart-stopping fall from a bus and the subsequent out-of-body journey. Central to this experience was her profound connection with her stepfather and an encounter with Yeshua (Jesus), radiating love and acceptance. A Little Impolite Newsletter: The Power to Abolish Fear: Unraveling the Narrative

A Little Impolite Newsletter: The Power to Abolish Fear: Unraveling the Narrative

The Power to Abolish Fear: Unraveling the Narrative

Greetings, Seekers of Wisdom,

Today, we're setting sail on a unique voyage into the depths of human emotion, a territory familiar to each of us: fear. Unlike our usual journeys, this one isn't a prolonged exploration; it's a brief yet potent encounter with fear, aimed at offering you valuable tools for navigating its labyrinthine corridors.

For years, I found myself ensnared in the intricate web of fear, a masterful weaver of narratives that governed my choices, actions, and beliefs. It was as if fear had become an unwanted but influential companion on my life's journey.

The narratives we carry, often shaped by experiences and societal expectations, can turn fear into a silent puppeteer, directing our decisions from behind the scenes. This revelation sparked my mission to unravel these narratives and discover ways to abolish fear's dominance.

The Power of Learned Experiences

It's no secret that our experiences and the stories we attach to them shape our worldview. However, when fear is at the helm, our perception of these experiences can become skewed. What was once a simple story can morph into a tale of dread, feeding the fear even further.

But here's the liberating truth: we have the power to rewrite these narratives. We can shift our perspective and transform fear from a captor into a catalyst. In the words of Viktor Frankl, "Between stimulus and response, there is a space. In that space is our power to choose our response. In our response lies our growth and our freedom."

Breaking Free from Fear's Chains

Now, as we embark on this brief but impactful journey, I offer you three invaluable tools to help you abolish fear's grip:

  1. Self-Awareness: Begin by recognizing the narratives that drive your fears. Pay attention to moments when fear shapes your decisions. This self-awareness is the first step to reclaiming your agency.
  2. Reframing: Challenge fear-based narratives by reframing your experiences. Seek a different perspective, one that empowers rather than paralyzes. This reframing can unveil new opportunities for growth.
  3. Courageous Action: The most profound way to overcome fear is through action. Embrace calculated risks and step outside your comfort zone. Every brave step you take weakens fear's hold.

These tools, when wielded with intention and courage, can transform fear into a source of strength. They are your companions on this short but transformative journey, and I encourage you to carry them forward as you navigate the labyrinth of life.

With courage and curiosity,

Deevo

The Science of Stuck - Breaking Through Inertia to Find Your Path Forward with Britt Frank

The Science of Stuck - Breaking Through Inertia to Find Your Path Forward with Britt Frank

“We need to know how to drive our brains, and then life works,” says Britt Frank, clinician and trauma specialist, who believes that we must learn how our bodies respond to different stimuli and form emotions. Britt is less concerned with the “why” of things, and more about the “what” and the “how.” She’s not interested in seeking or answering spiritual questions. If we learn how our bodies react to emotions, we can make better choices about our behavior, and life gets easier. Feelings, she says, are body cues, and emotions are the story or meaning we attach to those cues. The goal, she says, is to stop being a reactor and start being a responder.

Britt and Deevo share their similar shock and disillusionment about what college turned out to be and the different ways that people, especially introverts, connect with people. Britt says as important as connection is, it can’t come at the cost of health, safety, and integrity. They discuss the merits and limitations of psych meds, and the spiritual contradictions of abortion protesters.

Hear Britt and Deevo discuss the importance of celebrating micro-wins, the importance of taking accountability and responsibility, and a basic set of actionable steps.

Quotes

• “Feelings are just body cues. Emotions are when we attach a story or meaning to those body cues.” (15:04-15:10 | Britt)

• “Live your best life is sort of, ‘meh.’ It’s not live your best life, it’s live a life where you get to make choices versus hanging around reacting to things all the time and not knowing why.” (17:37-17:48 | Britt)

• “There’s a degree to which life gets really crappy the more you know and then there’s a pivot point at which eventually—assuming you have choices, and relative safety and access—you’re no longer lled by your injury.” (21:22-21:36 | Britt)

• “No matter how freethinking, no matter how outside the box, no matter how critical or unique you are, at the core of who we are as humans we still need to belong, we still need to have those connections, those conversations, some meaning, some depth. And that only comes from other humans.” (42:33-42:53 | Deevo)

• “What are some key adjustments one can make for transformations. What do you mean by that?” (52:32-52:36 | Britt)

• “I think personal responsibility is probably one of the keystone human emotions or human elements that if you don’t have it, you’re going to be lost for a long time.” (55:03-55:12 | Deevo)

How Caffeine is Killing You with Stephen Cherniske

How Caffeine is Killing You with Stephen Cherniske

“Caffeine isn’t energy, it’s stress,” says Stephen Cherniske, author of many books including “Caffeine Blues,” who joins Deevo to discuss the many dangers of caffeine consumption. In fact, in nature, caffeine is an active toxic poison that is produced naturally by plants to kill parasites. According to Stephen, half of us can quickly metabolize it, and half of us cannot, hence all of the conflicting and confusing information regarding its benefits. What’s more, men and women metabolize it differently given the differences in sizes of their livers. Perhaps the biggest detriment to our health that caffeine presents is not just that it stimulates stress hormones, but while this is going on, the body cannot produce DHEA, which is a very important healing and repairing hormones.

Still, it remains a 460 billion dollar industry because so many people see having their coffee or their soda, as a ritual. They also vastly underestimate how much caffeine they are drinking, and like any substance, Stephen reminds us, dosage matters.

Join us as Stephen explains how important sleep is, especially as we get older. Deevo explains the physical benefits he’s noticed after giving up caffeine, including having deeper, better sleep and the return of his dreams.

Quotes

• “Dose means everything. Dose defines what a poison is. Dose defines what’s nontoxic.” (10:25-10:33 | Stephen)

• “Coffee is almost like a tribal talisman to modern society. It’s like you have to have a cup of coffee so that you can fit into the group think.” (26:43-26:52 | Deevo)

• “Three of the five items you listed in terms of evidence around caffeine’s impact: anxiety, panic attacks, and hypertension. What about caffeine causes these to be so prevalent?” (45:33-45:46 | Deevo)

• “The hormone of resilience is DHEA.”(49:29-49:31 | Stephen)

• “There’s good things to say about coffee, believe it or not, and one of the best things about coffee is that it has antioxidant activity.” (55:22-55:33 | Stephen)

Handling Divorce with Melinda Previtera

Handling Divorce with Melinda Previtera

“Instead of focusing on all the negativity surrounding divorce—which, let’s be honest, there is,” says Melinda Previtera of Previtera Law Firm, “I want to change people’s mindsets as to how divorce can be an opportunity for rebirth and growth through self-love.” Part of that self-love is maintaining a sense of independence in a marriage, otherwise people start to desire control and get resentful and keep score. Individuals and couples need to be clear with their goals and their purpose, both short-term and long term, and Melinda helps them do that. Above all, people have to be willing to change.

Despite the prevalence of divorce in our culture and the upcoming generations who are foregoing marriage altogether, there is still a great deal of stigma around the subject. People tend to project their own indecisions and insecurities onto divorced people, and value the endurance of a marriage over how much it actually serves those involved, including the children. Once divorced and navigating custody, there are important dos and don’ts that Melinda discusses here.

Join Melinda and Deevo discuss the antiquated beliefs around marriage, the many lies people tell themselves about what’s best for the kids, and why divorce is the most radical act of self-love.

Quotes

• “I want to introduce a new perspective to this transition to this lifestyle reset is how I describe it, because when the decision to end the marriage is made, whether it’s made jointly or by one party, there is an opportunity for growth, evolution, and a reset in your life.” (8:49-9:12 | Melinda)

• “At the end of the day, everybody going through this process is in pain, no matter how amicable, it’s a loss and there’s pain. So, I treat it with that kind of respect and dignity, rather than trying to win a divorce case.” (14:44-14:58 | Melinda)

• “When you hear ‘we’ve outgrown each other,’ what that means is one person wants to grow and evolve, and the other person doesn’t.” (23:40-23:48 | Melinda)

• “I felt like when I was getting judged post-divorce, or even while I was in the process, I felt like some of the questions I was getting asked were people’s way of using me as their litmus on how happy or unhappy they were (41:16-41:29 | Deevo)

• “What’s the most common reason you find people are getting a divorce in this day and age?”(53:15-53:19 | Deevo)

How to NOT Be Run by Your Business with Adam Adams

How to NOT Be Run by Your Business with Adam Adams

According to Adam Adams, founder of growyourshow.com, there are currently three main spheres of influence: Social media, in-person meeting, and thought leadership. He’s very quickly proven himself an expert in at least the latter two. Within six months of launching, Adam’s first podcast “Creative Real Estate” ranked in the top one percent, and he’s been honored by MeetUp for being one of its top six organizers out of 225,000. Now, he helps others to achieve success with their podcasts by building promotional campaigns that train the algorithm, particularly in those crucial initial 8 weeks.

The key is engagement, and the key to engagement is asking rather than telling, he says. Whenever making announcements to your audience you should be asking for their help, and their opinions through open-ended questions that lead to more questions.

On this episode of A Little Impolite, Adam walks Lisa and Deevo through his recommended scenario of best steps for promoting their upcoming photography business retreat, including busting some common misconceptions about where and how to include links, and the unique origins of his name.

Quotes

• “I kept hearing, ‘Your network is your net worth.’ It was pretty much a tattoo on my brain.” (29:00-29:13 | Adam)

• “I started helping people with podcasts in 2017, six months into my journey, and they were getting a lot more success than I was getting because they were starting it off right and triggering these algorithms early.” (35:36-35:52 | Adam)

• “What sort of budgeting are you recommending for people in that space?”(39:47-39:50 | Deevo)

• “There’s scarcity and there’s urgency. I put the most amount of focus on urgency, but scarcity is critically important.”(1:05:20-1:05:28 | Adam)

The Missing Link to Re-Engineer Your Health with Katie Green

The Missing Link to Re-Engineer Your Health with Katie Green

“I’d say my best piece of medical advice is to forget everything that you’ve been taught up until this point,” says Katie Green Holistic Healthcare Professional and Neuromuscular Therapist. “Give yourself permission to ditch the dogma, the doctrine. We’re going to start over.” As a competitive runner in college, Katie began experiencing health problems, and noticed that the doctors she saw were interested only in treating her symptoms, rather than getting to the source of her problems, and solving them from the inside out. She attributes this to a profit-driven healthcare industry, one that is inextricably linked to all of the other major industries and government agencies.

She treats her own patients by first interviewing them extensively about their lifestyles and backgrounds, before giving them a full body assessment. She is passionately focused on the next generation, whom she believes has the power to change the world. First, she says, we must change their education about nutrition and the way they think about food.

On this episode of A Little Impolite, learn why greens are not the super food they’ve been made out to be, the best way to drink coffee to get the most benefits, and the new supplement Katie is most excited about.

Quotes

• “Nobody is honoring the innate brilliance—the intelligence—of our bodies. There’s a fundamental reason why people are experiencing what they’re experiencing. That was my goal: I wanted to know what health actually means, to me, to you, to the next person. I know it’s not medication.” (18:19-18:38 | Katie)

• “I think as both of you very well know, the world is dominated by corporate interest, and at the root of those interests is the pharmaceutical companies. They essentially run it all.” (22:04-22:16 | Katie)

• “I know for myself and for a lot of other people, you’re rewarded with food– and not some healthy organic fruit– you’re always rewarded with garbage.” (36:24-36:38 | Lisa)

• “So, these fantastic lettuce mixes that I buy at Costco filled with kale and spinach and dandelion leaves and all that good stuff is something I should not be eating?” (41:15-41:24 | Deevo)

Modern Intimacy with Dr. Kate Balestrieri

Modern Intimacy with Dr. Kate Balestrieri

When it comes to relationships and sexuality, says, Dr. Kate Balestrieri, licensed psychologist and certified sex therapist, there’s a lot we can’t control. We have the model our parents set for us and an automated drive to repeat those patterns. We are limited to a certain extent by our genetics and driven by a deep psychological desire to belong. However, we do have control over whether we reject the old narratives and examples we have been taught and can welcome a lot of change into our lives.

Deevo and Lisa talk about their own upbringings, and give insight into how those upbringings led them into and out of their first marriages, and how they plan to approach sex and relationships going forward.

On this episode of A Little Impolite, they ask Dr. Kate Balestrieri how she encourages the couples in her practice to talk to each other, her opinions on pornography, and her recommendations for talking to your teenagers about sex.

Quotes

• “Is there such a thing as monogamy?” (6:24-6:26 | Lisa)

• “There’s a big world out there of things you’ve never experienced and you think, ‘Why didn’t I partake of this?’ because it’s life changing, it’s good, it’s joy, and I’m not going to be burning in hell.” (12:00-12:14 | Lisa)

• “I just went through the motions. I didn’t have any aptitude or forethought or self awareness around where I went to college, for example. I just thought, ‘That’s what I’m supposed to do. I’m going to go to college, get my degree, take a job, work for fifty years and live in my house with my white picket fence, two kids and one dog. And I think most people get stuck in that space.” (18:44-19:05 | Deevo)

• “We’re not taught these skills in school. We’re not taught to be strong communicators. We’re taught to win an argument. We’re taught to defend ourselves.” (29:07-29:15 | Dr. Kate Balestrieri)

• “What’s more important than having exactly the same erotic template is how you’re going to negotiate together, honor each other’s limits, and be curious with each other.”(30:38-31:48 | Dr. Kate Balestrieri)

Finding Your Flow State with Gabi Robledo

Finding Your Flow State with Gabi Robledo

“It’s the perfect combination, the meeting point, of the masculine and the feminine, discipline and surrender, of action and creativity,” explains Gabi Robledo of what it means to enter into flow state. “You’re at a meeting space where you feel a sense of transcendence.” She first experienced it when rock climbing with her mother in Switzerland, one of the many places that the family visited when they decided to travel the world living out of an RV. Only in leaving the traditional life behind did she realize how much she was competing in every aspect of life, and placing her worth into external sources.

Anyone can achieve their flow state, she insists. Essentially, it’s about getting out of beta wave, which is nearly impossible when we live in a world addicted to stress. Part of getting there is trading a constant and false sense of productivity for rest and creativity.

On this episode of A Little Impolite, how to undo a deeply ingrained scarcity mentality, the depth and range of self-limiting beliefs, and the power of journaling.

Quotes

• “Our sense of self-value is the foundation which we build all our empowerment off of.” (25:50-25:54 | Gabi)

• “It was a challenge of how can I work with the norm, do I need to work with the norm? Or, can I create the reality that I’m trying to live in, somewhere else?” (23:22-23:39- Gabi)

• “As a competitive athlete she had the mindset that I needed to achieve and accomplish in order to be seen as a valuable human being.” (26:24-26:29 | Gabi)

• “Awareness comes from a complete lack of distraction.”(33:55-33:59  | Gabi)

• “You have that warped sense of time, you lose track of who you are, and you’re just disconnected from the self-monitor. (40:11-40:17 | Gabi)

• “Everyone is on a path to become the hero of their journey.”(1:11:10-1:11:15 | Gabi)

Psychedelics and Business with Bijou Finney

Psychedelics and Business with Bijou Finney

"I'm not one of these extremely 'woo woo' people who start speaking and you're like, 'What the hell are you talking about?' I'm making this a little more accessible," says Bijou Finney, who teaches "conscious entrepreneurship" for businesses and business leaders through a plant-based therapy that revolves around psychedelics. As a former brand designer and videographer, she understands the challenges faced by creative professionals, and believes that the key to success in life and business is aligning yourself with your true nature and purpose.

Psychedelics, she says, achieve this by clearing out all the blockage caused by past traumas and old emotional wounds. This allows us to get quiet enough to find out what we truly want and who we truly are, without any outside noise. As a result, we can become not only better business people, but more mindful of how our work impacts those around us.

On this episode of A Little Impolite, hear Bijou discuss the lingering stigma surrounding psychedelics, the power of sitting still in silence, and how to get to the next level in the video game of life.

Quotes

• "I felt like entrepreneurs maybe needed to focus on being conscious entrepreneurs. Like how does my business affect the world around me? How do my choices affect the world around me?" (15:11-15:27 | Bijou)

• “You're able to have the creativity and ability to see problems from a different perspective because it takes you away from yourself. You're able to actually step back from yourself. So, it's almost like a coaching situation where the coach can see what's going on easier than you can. (44:14-31 | Bijou)

• "It starts with microdosing. Little bits that allow you to feel safe in your own skin to allow you to drop deeper into yourself really allow you to like, dip your toe in and get safe with the mushrooms and feel like they are your ally. (47:24-47:40 | Bijou)

• "I get so passionate about rebranding psychedelics because we—especially women—hold everything inside of us, which literally leaves very little room for new versions of ourselves to bloom." (51:03-51:19 | Bijou)

• "Everybody's psychedelic journey is completely different, and they need to feel supported and have clarity around what's possible for them to actually go down that path. Because before it's very dark and murky and scary." (1:05:26-1:05:40 | Bijou)

• "Your money and your love and your sex are the same thing: they're energy. You either have blocks in them or you don't." (1:24:26- 1:24:31 | Bijou)

Understanding Your Mind, Body, and Spirit with Claudia Garbutt

Understanding Your Mind, Body, and Spirit with Claudia Garbutt

Claudia Garbutt has, to quote Deevo, "more credentials, degrees, and pedigrees than anyone we've had on the show." A metaphysicist, biologist, microbiologist, and former neurologist, Garbutt now works as a mindset high-performance coach, working at the intersection between physiology and psychology.

Since we encounter an increasing number of psychological stressors on a daily basis, Claudia believes we need to learn to combat this stress with daily habits. She helps her clients develop these habits using what she calls her sustainable success framework, which is built on the pillars of reprogramming the mind to eliminate limiting beliefs, nourishing the body with healthy food and exercise, and identifying and resolving past traumas.

In this episode, Claudia will discuss how unresolved trauma manifests and presents physically and emotionally, how to recognize the specific manifestations in your own body, and strategies to reduce stress. Since every person's body is unique, awareness of our own reactions is key to creating an optimal self-care routine.

Quotes

• "These wounds are really like faulty programs running in the background and they stop us from achieving our conscious goals, or stop us from achieving our full potential, or they sabotage our relationships with others." (21:48-22:02 | Claudia)

• "We don't make a change until we get into a crisis sometimes." (29:22-29:32| Lisa)

• "They don't teach us this growing up and they certainly don't teach this in school, but everything is sort of in this persistent symbiosis, and one impact on your body or one impact on your mind or trauma or whatever it is, your body absorbs that and unless it's dealt with, it brings it out in some sort of malignant tumor, if you will." (30:40-31:06| Deevo)

• "I think in the Western world, self care is usually seen as something extravagant, or it's laziness. We like to label it with a negative label. I'm not sure why. We often see it as something unproductive." (43:36-43:55 | Claudia)

• “What I've discovered over the years is, explore your resistances because that's often…it leads you to the things that you need to do. If you discover that you have a lot of resistance around taking a break, then it's most definitely the thing you should be doing right now." (45:30-45:47| Claudia)

• "Personal power is really about being able to control your own internal state and about connecting with others." (1:00:28-1:00:42 | Claudia)

Making it Work in Bed and Business with Lisa and Deevo

Making it Work in Bed and Business with Lisa and Deevo

“Communication is critical to not only your relationship but being in business together,” says host Deevo. For those who don’t know, Deevo and Lisa were in a relationship before they started their social media agency, Sprout Connectors. Understanding the effort it takes to balance a romantic and business relationship, Deevo and Lisa explain how they make both sides of their partnership work.

Deevo and Lisa understand that not all couples work well together. If you discuss the parameters of the joint venture beforehand and make time for romance, it is possible to have a successful and loving partnership. As long as you let yourself have individual hobbies and separate work from love, everyone can feel fulfilled while maintaining individuality. Through mutual respect and recognition of each other’s strengths, couples can make it work in the business and the bedroom.

Tune into this week’s episode of A Little Impolite Podcast for a straightforward conversation on balancing love and business. Learn more about how Deevo and Lisa met, their work dynamic, and the necessity of alignment in personal and professional relationships.

Quotes

• “I think you overcompensate sometimes as a woman to allow space for you to perform as a leader.” [Lisa] (22:31 - 22:41)

• “We need to decide how committed we are. We need to start that structure, and be all in or don't bother at all.” [Lisa] (28:21 - 28:28)

• “You have to have something else outside of your business and your relationship that feeds your soul and keeps you an individual, so you don't morph into each other.” [Lisa] (37:10 - 37:20)

• “Find ways to align and connect. You're going to have disagreements, you're going to have a different way of approaching something, but always have that open banter going.” [Lisa] (36:22 - 36:40)

• “Communication is critical to not only your relationship but being in business together.” [Deevo] (47:29 - 47:34)
