No family ties. Resentment tours her family especially tours her father. She felt hopeless.

Although, she always felt like a late bloomer. God, had her life on his loving timing hands.

Time presented a gift of recovery.

She is a wife, a mom, and she celebrates her love through her recovery!

Carla, was a daughter of two young teenagers. Who had broken hearts and dreams.
•
You will hear her story how from day one of life she faced obstacle yet faith showed up. As a child she became the caregiver and hid all her pain. And after much of it and abuse she decided to have the power.

Yet, this power was destructive, dangerous, and diluted her heart and life. From homelessness and everything in between.
•
Years later. Carla was presented with a chance and a choice. She found refuge in San Diego rescue mission. And later in celebrate recovery.

I love it when she describes the moment in her recovery. As if “someone flipped the stadium lights on” But the lights where on... ???

Carla can now say she is clean and sober.

Alora, was a child when she stumble to a stash of pornograph material. This became her daily normal and how she cope with life. The addiction grew all the way to her “I do’s”.
She discovered true intimacy and Freedom through Jesus + celebrate recovery!
She discovered a new way of living and thinking and her true value!
Men and sex were not her master. And shame was not her identity!
I loved it when she said “ we must show up for ourselves and we should celebrate it!”
Her story is a story of redemption and recovery. Not only for herself, but in her marriage and in her family!

ONE YEAR OF SOBRIETY!

One year ago I stood in the door of my house and looked into the brokenness of my soul. I could no longer be in denial!
I was not “depressed” or “anxious”. But, I was VERY ANGRY. My words and actions where violent tours the one I really loved. I was literally destroying my home and the life in it. And rather than breaking generational courses I was creating them.
I share the moment when my strong husband looked so broken. And when he gave me the final ultimatum. If I did not change I will loose everything that I love...
What strength. What honor. What protection. HE DID THE RIGHT THING!
I share with you the journey how I found recovery and what I did and continue to do! From celebrate recovery to inner healing. And the daily responsibility to choose joy and hope!
I share how I was being angry for being angry! And how I would self medicate and how codependency was the root of the anger.
I share my why? And the hurt. Of so badly wanting to be wanted and not to be forgotten.
How my simple, pastoral, and servant leader heart was no longer. But a servant to self and to codependency.
I share the list that I have let go!

Because, Cliff and his siblings was once in there shoes.

When Cliff was a young teenage boy. His Mother suddenly passed away. His whole world changed. And he entered to a new world called foster care.

A world of being separated from his siblings and being raised in a facility and with staff.

He shares with us how there was settle racism in the time of his care. Yet, he met some of the finest people in his journey. That saw HIM, that helped him, and mentored him. So much so. They are part of his life even today!
