Will 2019 be a year filled with new impressions, perceptions, insights, and actions or a well-tread used year, filled with the same old thoughts, attitudes, beliefs, and actions that keep our world in turmoil? Is there a practical, meaningful New Year’s resolution that can help transform our lives?
This sitting goes deeper into the levels of sensation and impressions possible when we sense our bodies more completely. And it continues the exploration of the freedom from habitual thoughts and reactive emotions that emerges when we are touch with this more-conscious and complete body sensation. If you haven’t yet worked with the first guided sitting, I suggest you do so for a few days before beginning this one.
This is the first of a series of sittings designed to help support the inward journey of awakening to who or what we truly are. This journey is no mere journey of the mind or imagination. It is rather a journey into the energetic dimensions of our own wholeness. It is through sittings such as the ones I offer here that we can begin to develop the inner attention necessary to see ourselves as we are, and can begin to understand how the conscious sensation of the body supports the expansion of consciousness in our lives.

David’s singing was amazingly beautiful and especially relevant to the poems I read.
Besides my own poem, 'These Passing Years,' which ends the reading, these poems include 'Four Tao Philosophers,' by Robert Francis; 'What if You Slept,' by Samuel Taylor Coleridge; 'I Live My Life in Growing Orbits' and 'You See I Want a Lot,' by Rainer Maria Rilke; 'The Road Not Taken,' by Robert Frost; 'Are You Looking for Me?', by Kabir (translated by Stephen Mitchell); 'I Came Out Alone on My Way to My Tryst,' by R
