Demon Slayer 2 was a great hit among anime fans, and since the day it ended, the fans waiting for the next season. Season 2 had all the elements of a great show, high-octane action sequences, top-class animation, story, script, and thrill. Demon Slayer creators only increased the expectations of its viewers with each season, and they promised another great season. Now, all the episodes of season 3 are already aired, and I can’t wait to talk about it.

Bhuvan Bam is one of the most successful YouTubers of our time. We all know him from his channel “BB ki Vines” which has more than 25 million subscribers. In 2021 he launched a web series named “Dhindhora” which was highly successful and praised web series. Now Bhuvan Bam is back with a new show, “Taaza Khabar”, but not on YouTube but on Disney+ Hotstar. Let’s find out if the show is as good as his previous ventures. 

Cobra Kai is undoubtedly one of the most anticipated and revered series on Netflix. Cobra Kai has only grown its fan base and audience with each season. This also started a trend of creating TV series after successful movie franchises, like the recently released “Rings of Power” after “The Lord of The Rings”.  This show is about martial arts, fights, conspiracies, and friendship, and these traits are in all seasons. Netflix is out with Cobra Kai Season 5 now, and I am very excited to talk about it.

When Avatar first came in 2009, it broke all box office records. Avatar was one of the highest-ever grossing movies for nearly a decade. Avatar made its director James Cameron a household name. The fascination with Ravana is unmatched today, and several intellectuals and authors tried to tell the Ramayana from Ravana’s perspective. Anand Neelakantan also tried to retell his story in “Asura: Tale of the Vanquished.”

The author created a world of Asuras, who were indigenous people of India. They were black and living in a free society where everyone had equal opportunity to rise. Men and women competed with each other equally and followed the way of Dharma. There was a continuous tussle between followers of Shiva, who were indigenous people of India, and followers of Vishnu, the Devas’ who were foreigners. Devas’ wanted to conquer India, but the Asura army was a big thorn in their path. Ravana was an over-ambitious person, who decided to take back everything which was taken from Asura. He learned everything from the old king Mahabali, and gradually started his long journey to glory.

We have several books on heroes who fought in these wars and showed extreme acts of bravery and velour. But these wars were not the only times our heroes showed the metal they were made of. Our consistent struggle with neighbors introduced us to many more heroes to be proud of. Shiv Aroor and Rahul Singh tried to tell a few stories of these modern-time heroes in their first book from the franchise, “India’s Most Fearless”.

The Indian Army is known as one of the most battle-hardened armies. We have participated in World Wars, UN Peace Keeping Mission, and multiple all-out wars against our neighbors. What started with Baahubali led to all-time blockbusters like Baahubali 2, Pushpa, RRR, and Karthikeya 2 to the recent hit Kantara. However, out of all these movies, Kantara is special. Let me tell me you how and why.

Kantara is the story of Shiva, the Kambala champion from the village of Kaadubettu. He has several bad habits like drinking, gambling, and petty fights, despite hailing from a family of priests, who perform Bhoota Kola every year to pray to a Demi-God Panjurli. He came in loggerhead along with the rest of the village with the new forest officer Murlidhar, tasked to define forest reserves and stop the villagers from exploiting forest resources. That leads to several ups and downs in Shiva’s life and an extraordinary climax.

2022 was not a good year for Bollywood when we talk about new stories and concepts. On the other hand, India saw a massive surge of new stories and subjects from South Indian Cinema, and they were praised and loved throughout India. While the year was about to end, Varun Dhawan brought a fresh concept for Bollywood, a horror-comedy, Bhediya. The story is based on a man turning into a Werewolf and how that changed his life. Hollywood has a long list of movies and TV shows on this subject, but could Bollywood do any justice to it, let’s find out.

Bhaskar and his cousin Janardhan visit a small village in Arunachal Pradesh for a road construction project. Bhaskar was bitten by a Wolf when he was roaming around in the forest, at night. He was somehow saved by a local animal veterinarian, but later he started turning into a Werewolf and killing people. He looked for a cure with his friends, and that led the story to several twists and turns, and a beautiful climax.

There are few Netflix projects that are highly engaging and worth waiting for despite its being a trash can for a lot of low quality projects from big creators. Few of such names are Stranger Things, The Umbrella Academy, Castlevania etc. but what I love and wait for the most is Love, Death and Robot franchise. It is simply an anthology of 7-18 minutes long animated episodes that are directed and created by several renowned creators. After 2 really successful and critically acclaimed seasons, they are back with the 3rd season, but, was it worth waiting for? Let’s find out.

Tik tok was one of the fastest growing social media and entertainment platform until last year when it even surpassed Google in popularity in 2021. This is a highly addictive app that uses a lot of its user’s data, behavioral patterns, AI and psycho analysis to keep its audience hooked to it for hours using short video content. It made thousands of people little celebrities and brought fame out of nothing and quite often without any talent, and that made it highly popular among people with dreams of getting rich and famous. Later it was banned in India in June, 2020 stating data privacy reasons, however it was truly a political move, and that gave birth to several other similar Indian apps. People did almost everything to get views and likes on Tik Tok and that led to some innocent people losing their lives in the process. “Escaype Live” on Disney+ HotStar is based on the similar storyline depicting how an app can go to any length to increase its subscribers and how people are ready to sacrifice their everything for that little fame and money.

We see a rise in crimes against women with each passing day with no hope of slowing down anytime sooner in our society, that too in umpteen ways like domestic violence, rapes, molestation, mental and sexual harassments and many more. There are strict laws in place to protect women’s right and dignity but still some people are able to find loopholes and get away with minimal or no punishment. While hundreds of books coming out in the market everyday, only few would make an impact. But, what is the goal of an author, to be a best seller? Or simply to share their knowledge with the masses. In that long list of books that made an impact, we have another addition named “Do Epic Shit” by Ankur Warikoo. I know the title is funny and compelling, but what about the content? The long wait for the next Marvel Studio venture is finally over and after the long wait of 6 years, we have the next installment of Doctor Strange franchise, Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness. There have been a lot of speculations and theories behind this movie considering what we saw in Wanda-Vision, Marvel’s What If and Spider-Man: No Way Home. All of these shows and movie were around the concept of multiverse and this is one of the most talked about subject right now in the film community. But, was Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness worth all the hype it created in last few months? Did it deliver what was promised by MCU? Let’s find out.

“The Adam Project” is a Netflix original movie, released on 11th March, 2022. “The Adam Project” is directed by Shawn Levy whom we know from his past directorial ventures like “Free Guy”, “Real Steel” and “Stranger Things”. “The Adam Project” has a big star cast attached to it, like Ryan Reynolds, Walker Scobell, Mark Ruffalo, Jennifer Garner, Catherine Keener and Zoe Saldana.

“The Kashmir Files” is already raining havoc over the Box office and earned around 150 Crore INR till 9th day of its release and expected to earn around 300 Crore INR. The movie was made tax free in a lot of states and being promoted by general public and a lot of media channels. It’s a low budget film and if we compare the earnings then it is already a blockbuster that broke several box office records. “The Kashmir Files” literally ate Aliya Bhatt starer “Gangubai” and “Bahubali” fame Prabhas starer “Radhe Shyam” on box office and set to eat alive Akshay Kumar starer “Bachchan Pandey” too. Now the burning question which arises is- Why?

There was a lot of chatter around the decision to cast Robert Pattinson as the Batman and most of it was pure hate. No one was ready to see him reprising this iconic role considering his past movies like the Twilight Franchise and The Harry Potter franchise. I had a lot of faith in Robert Pattinson and I knew that he could do a really great job if he is given an opportunity and I guess Matt Reeves saw the same thing in him. The first poster and the teaser dropped as a storm on the internet and Robert really escalated the expectations of the DC fans around the world. But, could he live up to the  challenge, let’s find out.

History plays an important part in shaping up the future and it is really important to know the history of your nation. We are more likely to read our history from the national point of view and those are usually favoring the national idea. In such time it becomes important to read different opinions or alternate narratives of the same incidents to make sure you have your own opinion about the history.

"Keeping the Jewel in the Crown: The British Betrayal of India" by Walter Reid is the history of Indian struggle from 1917-1947, from the British perspective. He talked about the factors that helped India gain freedom from Britain and what British felt about it. He talked about Indian freedom fighter and tried to justify the British actions to keep ruling India.
