" Twenty-four years ago, Edward Gingerich became the first old-order Amish man in history to be convicted of criminal homicide. A year earlier he had crushed his wife's skull by repeatedly stomping her. He next scooped out Katie Gingerich's brain with his hands, then opened her up with a kitchen knife and ripped out all of her internal organs. This atrocious assault took place in the kitchen of the couple's farmhouse located in a remote section of Crawford County in Rockdale Township near Mill Village, Pennsylvania. Two of Edward's children, ages three and four, witnessed the brutal March 19, 1993 killing." - Jim Fisher

In August, Shanann Watts, 34, and her two daughters, Bella, 4, and Celeste, 3, were reported missing from their Frederick, Colorado, home. The following day, Shanann’s husband Chris Watts gave an interview on the porch of his family’s home in which he pleaded for his pregnant wife and daughters’ safe return but they never came home. 

In August, Shanann Watts, 34, and her two daughters, Bella, 4, and Celeste, 3, were reported missing from their Frederick, Colorado, home. A passenger in a car in the drive-thru of the Oberlin Avenue Taco Bell was shot and killed during an apparent robbery attempt, police said.

Robert Gnizak, 49, of Lorain, was found dead in the car when police arrived at 11:03 p.m. Sunday. 

On Friday, July 7, 2017, at approximately 8:50am, Columbus Police Officers and Medics were dispatched to the area of 350 S. Wayne Avenue, on report of a body inside the trunk of a Dodge Neon. Officers arrived and found the victim, Jesse Houser, unresponsive, inside the trunk of said vehicle.

On the morning of April 23 1997,  Ann Rippel’s body was discovered face down in little Tonawanda creek by a driver passing by. She was naked from the waist down and had duct tape loosely around her throat.  She was a mother, a daughter and a sister, and 22 years later her death is a still a mystery. 

October 2002 was the beginning of what seemed like the longest three weeks in the Washington Metropolitan Area. No one wanted to believe that what was happening would change the lives of thousands. What appeared to be a random killing spree by an enraged lunatic, turned out to be part of a massive plan that claimed the lives of ten innocent people in DC, Maryland, and Virginia. When these shootings first began, they were believed to be linked to a white van or truck. It was later discovered that these shootings were being carried out by a man named John Allen Muhammad, and his teenage accomplice Lee Boyd Malvo, in a blue 1990 Chevrolet Caprice sedan.
