Will is a DevOps Consultant at HeleCloud, GitLab Hero and Docker Community Leader. He has been architecting and delivering successful solutions with software since 2005, most recently using DevOps tools and processes with Terraform, Vault, GitLab and Ansible. He is interested in the evolution of DevOps, exploring the great opportunities to modernise existing applications and infrastructure to run them alongside new tools and services. These include containerisation, serverless and infrastructure as code.

Tiffany Jachja is a Technical Evangelist at Harness. She is an advocate for better software delivery, sharing applicable practices, stories, and content around modern technologies. Before joining Harness, Tiffany was a consultant with Red Hat’s Consulting practice. There she used her experience to help customers build their software applications living in the cloud.

His career has seen him work as an implementer in FinTech, a Solution Architect at Chef and many years and many roles in Managed Services. As well as contributing to the occasional webinar / podcast / blog he’s also a returning judge for the UK Cloud Awards. His interests in Cloud include Machine Learning as well as the age-old problem of motivating people to do things differently.

This week Martyn is joined by Katie Gamanji to discuss containers. We discuss what DevOps means to Katie, what containers are and how they help American Express as well as discuss Katie's role at the Cloud Native Computing Foundation (CNCF).
As a Cloud Platform Engineer at American Express, Katie Gamanji contributes to the build-out of a platform that gravitates towards cloud-native principles and open-source tooling, with Kubernetes as the focal point. In previous roles, maintained and automated application delivery on OpenStack based infrastructure, which transitioned to the creation of a centralised, globally distributed platform at Condé Nast.
Additionally, Katie Gamanji has been elected as an End-User TOC (Technical Oversight Committee) for the CNCF. Alongside 10 other champions within the open-source community, she steers and maintains the technical vision for the CNCF landscape.
Katie Gamanji is a strong advocate for women in STEM, and public speaker on topics that revolves towards Kubernetes ecosystem and cloud-native tooling.

Hi everyone! Welcome to my new podcast DevOps Squared. I will be discussing everything DevOps including people, process, technology and culture. Guests include both seasoned DevOps professionals and newcomers to the community giving them the ability talk about their experiences and expertise on a wide variety of subjects.
One week we will go from discussing the culture shift in DevOps and what that means for organisations to the implementation of technology to drive the adoption of DevOps. I hope this mix of subjects will give everyone something they can take away.
