Leland B. Martin stars in the new series “Boomerang” created and executive produced by Lena Waithe and Ben Cory Jones and from Executive Producer Halle Berry. “Boomerang” is based on the 1992 film of the same title. The series picks up 26 years from where the film left off and follows Simone (Tetona Jackson) and Bryson (Tequan Richmond) and their friends Ari (Leland B. Martin) and Tia (Lala Milan). Ari is handsome, charming and is a struggling web-series director who exudes a confident, strong masculine energy. He bears a lion tattoo on his chest, reflective of the Hebrew meaning of his name. Ari is someone who prides himself on a being a creative in a world of executives. He is unapologetic about all aspects of his life and lives a sexually fluid lifestyle.

Tamara S. Hall is a NY-based actress, writer, and filmmaker from Philadelphia, PA whose artistry spans theatre, poetry, short fiction, and business writing.  A 2017 graduate of The William Esper Studio, which was listed as one of “The 25 Best Drama Schools in 2015” in the Hollywood Reporter, Tamara completed her studies in acting, movement, and voice & speech. Before becoming a filmmaker, Tamara has also worked in the TV business at renowned networks such as NBCUniversal, BET, and currently - HBO.

Also a graduate of the Pennsylvania State University, Tamara wrote, produced, and directed a number of award-winning shows and performances throughout her tenure as a student, such as Behind Their Lips, a monologue show created to raise domestic violence awareness and Till Life Do Us Part, a spoken word monologue tribute to the late Trayvon Martin. 

Tamara considers herself an “activist through art,” noting her affinity for creating unique and nuanced stories for the purposes of bringing awareness to important social and cultural issues not normally explored. She seeks to be a vessel for stories that uplift and entertain, and uses her words to build doors for the purpose of inviting you all in.

Ruben Santiago Hudson, Lackawanna Blues Playwright and Tony Award Winning Actor

New York native, playwright, actor and director Ruben Santiago-Hudson. Winning national awards for his work in all three categories, Santiago-Hudson returns to the theatre stage with his one-man play Lackawanna Blues - the same play he won an OBIE special citation Award for.

Debuted off Broadway at the Papp Public Theatre in 2001, Lackawanna Blues was later adapted as a television movie that aired in 2005 on HBO. The play is a montage of reminiscences, memories, testimonials and roman a clefs of 'Miss Rachel' and his childhood in a small town on the banks of Lake Erie; portraying more than 20-colorful characters of would-be philosophers, petty hustlers, lost souls and abandoned lovers - in a celebration of the eccentric boarding house.

Santiago-Hudson delivers anecdotes and testimonials accompanied throughout by live blues music with Grammy winning Blues guitarist, composer and actor, Chris Thomas King. Santiago-Hudson taught himself to play the harmonica during his broadway stay for August Wilson's Seven Guitars; Santiago-Hudson received a Tony Award for his performance in the August Wilson play. No stranger to the Broadway stage, Ruben appeared in Jelly's Last Jam written by George C. Wolfe, The Piano Lesson, The First Breeze of Summer and Cabin in the Sky.

Appearing in film and television in Coming to America, Shaft, The Red Sneakers, Their Eyes Were Watching God, Selma, American Gangster, Honeydripper, The Immortal Life of Henrietta Lacks,  BET's The Quad, ABC's Designated Survivor, Castle, and NBC's Law & Order.

In addition to the play, Santiago-Hudson reoccurs on the OWN network's original series David Makes Man. This drama is the first television series from the Oscar Award winning Tarell Alvin McCraney about a young African American prodigy living in Florida looking for a way out of his poor neighbor. David Makes Man was inspired by events in McCraney's life, explores childhood trauma and the power of imagination.

Michael Matteo Rossi Talks About His Upcoming Thriller, Chase

Born and raised in Los Angeles, Michael has extensively been involved in writing, producing and directing and actively been involved in film projects for the last few years. At 19, Michael went on to have his first short film, Our Lost Translation, screened at the LA Shorts Fest. After completing San Diego State with a degree in film, he finished top of his class and now lives back in Los Angeles. In 2011, he directed, produced and wrote The Last Wish, which screened at a number of festivals and picked up several awards including the Sierra Nevada Award at the 2012 Mountain Film Awards. In 2013, Michael directed, produced and wrote the feature, Misogynist, where he was awarded best narrative feature at the Los Angeles Underground Film Festival. Highly prolific, Michael continues to write and direct quality films at an outstanding rate. 

His new movie Chase will surely make waves when it come out. Chase is an upcoming American action thriller film directed and written by Michael Matteo Rossi.

Kellita Smith Talks What Its Like To Play the Lead on Z Nation


The 5th season of the action-horror-comedy-drama post apocalyptic series Z Nation premiered on the SYFY network on October 5; remains to be the networks #1 show. Kellita as former National Guard Lieutenant Roberta Warren, she has survived the zombie apocalypse and leader of the survivor group. The upcoming episode of Z Nation, it is a humorous angel on American history as Doc (Russel Hodgkinson) explains his version of American History to George, Sketchy (Mark Carr) and Skeezy (Doug Dawson) with re-enactments about the Founding Fathers, while Warren (Kellita Smith) and the others go to the bakery that invented bizkits in search of the "secret ingredient. 

On BounceTV's series In The Cut Smith is the lead as Cheryl opposite Dorien Wilson's character Jay Weaver. The feisty business savvy woman, owner of beauty salon is also the fiancé of Jay Weaver. The show follows Jay's barber shop including as he meets his illegitimate son and the other businesses in the strip mall. 

Kellita Smith is is best known as Wanda McCullough, the wife of Bernie Mac on the groundbreaking comedy the Bernie Mac Show, and nominated 4 times for her role in the series. One of Hollywood's most talented and versatile actresses with a career spanning over two decades. In the 90's she guest starred in several classic television programs: In Living Color, Living Single, Hangin' with Mr. Cooper, Martin, Sister Sister, The Wayans Bros, Moesha, Malcolm & Eddie, The Parent 'Hood, The Jamie Foxx Show, The Steve Harvey Show and The Parkers. 

Kellita began her career as a model to transition into acting on stage in a regional theatrical production of Tell It Like It Tiz. She won a NAACP Theatre Award for her role in Feelings (The Hudson Theatre) for Best Supporting Actress.
