Tech News: Wix Announces Integration with Amazon’s Multi-Channel Fulfillment
Wix, a popular website builder, has upgraded its SaaS platform to include Amazon's Multi-Channel Fulfillment (MCF), which allows ecommerce retailers to ship goods in one to two days. The revamped infrastructure will now allow Wix ecommerce merchants in the United States to download the Amazon MCF app to their Wix store, potentially lowering fulfillment expenses. Wix businesses will be able to see Amazon's shipping options and real-time delivery dates in real time. Multi-Channel Fulfillment on Wix According to Wix, the integration was created to make it easier for ecommerce website owners to fulfill orders on their own. By tapping into Amazon’s massive fulfillment network, merchants will also have the flexibility to customize shipping prices for customers, with the ability to offer flat rates or free shipping rather than the Amazon rate. In addition, they will be able to share shipment confirmation and tracking details for any carrier with customers, providing visibility over the entire delivery journey. "We're always improving our platform to meet the changing needs of business owners and to assist them in increasing their Gross Payment Volume (GPV)," stated Arik Perez, Wix ecommerce's Head. This new integration complements Wix's existing Amazon support, which allows merchants to supplement their sales strategy by connecting their Wix eCommerce store to sell on Amazon. Wix eCommerce retailers in the United States can use Amazon MCF and Amazon Shop. Wix, based in Tel Aviv, Israel, provides web development, design, solutions, and apps through an online platform that helps businesses, organizations, professionals, and people establish a strong online presence. Client growth has been aided by its user-friendly applications and cloud-based infrastructure. "Today, organizations must have a smooth shipping and delivery process in order to succeed. Wix retailers can be confident that top-of-the-line packaging, handling, and speedy delivery is at their fingertips when they join with Amazon MCF, which improves their business's potential growth." Fulfilling orders 24/7 with fast shipping, using Amazon MCF's fulfillment network of over 200 fulfillment centers, and automatic inventory placement are just a few of the other significant benefits for Wix ecommerce retailers who use the Amazon MCF app. Gopal Pillai, Vice President of Amazon Fulfillment and Distribution Solutions, said, "We're constantly listening to merchants and working backwards from their needs to develop solutions that help them delight more customers." "The new Multi-Channel Fulfillment app easily integrates with Wix stores to help merchants improve their customer experience by providing accurate delivery dates at checkout, automatic tracking emails, and on-time, low-cost delivery." "With Multi-Channel Fulfillment, we make fulfillment so simple and seamless for merchants that they can spend more time focusing on their business's growth and success." Wix merchants will pay for fulfillment and storage, but not for commitment or app installation, thanks to the connection with Amazon's MCF network, which is already available.

Tech News: Is Twitter Blue for You? The New Subscription Service for Twitter
What is Twitter Blue and what does it do? Twitter Blue is a paid membership service that gives you unique capabilities for a monthly charge. On Twitter, people frequently debate about which features the site should have, and some of the most popular demands have been implemented into the premium version. The most visible of these features is undoubtedly the Undo Tweet button, which isn't really a tweet edit tool as many had asked for, but it does provide a means to swiftly correct a tweet. Here's a quick summary of what comes with a Twitter Blue subscription: Undo Tweet: You may edit a tweet after publishing it, although this isn't quite an editing tool. You have 60 seconds to reverse a message, reply, or thread you've put up on Twitter. Reader for threads: Long threads are now easier to read thanks to the new Reader Mode. As you scroll through a thread, large tiles will showcase each tweet underneath, displaying only the tweet and any accompanying videos or photos. Distractions like the username, avatar, date and numbers are all gone when enabled. You can also customize text size. Bookmark folders: Now you can organize your messy bookmarks into folders so that they're easier to find. Whenever you bookmark a tweet, you'll be asked if you want to add it to a folder. Ad-free articles: Read stories from The Los Angeles Times, The Washington Post, BuzzFeed, Rolling Stone and more -- without advertisements. More than 45 sites are available with others coming. Also, a piece of your subscription fee goes directly to these sites. Note that "ad-free" applies just to these articles and not elsewhere in Twitter. Custom navigation: You can customize it and add bookmarks, lists, profile and monetization icons (iOS only). App Icons: You now choose a different Twitter app icon for your home screen: eight permanent icons and three seasonal ones (iOS only) Themes: Choose between six theme colors: blue (original), yellow, red, purple, orange and green (iOS only). Experimental features: Use unreleased experimental features, such as pinned DM conversations and 10-minute long video uploads (desktop only). Twitter Blue is a $3 monthly subscription that includes extra features such as an undo button and ad-free news items. For the time being, Twitter Blue has a rather limited collection of extra features aimed at users who spend the most time on the platform. This category comprises "verified longtime Twitter users," "news lovers," and other "super tweeters," according to Twitter's Sara Beukpour. To put it another way, the 25% of Twitter users who send 97 percent of all tweets. And after a month of using Twitter Blue, I'm not convinced it's worth $3 per month for most people. The features are mainly beneficial, but it's a pain that they don't always work the same way throughout Twitter's app and website. But there are undeniably valuable features, and I'm interested to see what "premium Twitter" will bring next. But for now, take a peek at what $3 can get you.

Tech News: NVIDIA Ai Robot Brain Now Available
Available later this year the simple Orin NK Kit starts at $399 with six CPU cores, a 1,792-core GPU, 8GB of RAM, and 70 TOPS of performance. If you are looking for top end perforamnce you'll need a $1,599 Orin module with the full 12 CPU cores, 2,048-core GPU, and 64GB of RAM to match the advertised 275 TOPS. The Jetson AGX Orin developer kit is now available for $1,999. Because of its 12-core ARM Cortex-A78AE CPUs, Ampere-based GPU, and updates to its AI accelerators, interfaces, memory bandwidth, and sensor support, the palm-sized computing device is now claimed as eight times more powerful than Jetson AGX Xavier (275 trillion operations per second, or TOPS). NVIDIA, on the other hand, is doing more to assist robot developers. It's introducing the Isaac Nova Orin platform, which contains two Jetson AGX Orin modules as well as the sensor suite required for a robot to recognize its surroundings. Up to six cameras, three LiDAR units, and eight ultrasonic sensors can be used on the platform. You'll also get the software you need to model the robot, as well as support for mapping, navigation, and perception software. As of this writing, NVIDIA hadn't revealed pricing, but it's safe to assume the extra module and sensors will cost a lot more. The new Jetson hardware is unlikely to be used for home projects, but it could have a huge impact on the technologies you use or buy. Existing Jetson users like as John Deere (who will utilize the technology in a forthcoming autonomous tractor) and Hyundai Robotics are being highlighted by NVIDIA. Orin's improved performance isn't certain to result in more intelligent robots, but it should help them do tasks more swiftly.

Tech News: OpenAi Edit API Endpoint Now in Beta
OpenAi has published new versions of GPT-3 and Codex that allows you to modify or add content to existing text, rather than just completing it. These new abilities make it easier to use the OpenAI API to update previously written material, such as editing a paragraph of text or refactoring code. Insertion is currently being tested in GitHub Copilot with encouraging results according to the OpenAi blog. Text has generally been appended at the end of existing content in GPT-3 and Codex, dependent on the text that came before it. Writing is more than just appending— it's iterative process in which current text gets changed, whether you're dealing with text or code. GPT-3 and Codex can now alter text, either by editing what's already there or by adding new text in the middle of the material. The new insert feature allows you to add contextually appropriate text to existing content. By providing contextual information to the model you can increase the quality of completions for tasks like composing long-form material, transitioning between paragraphs, following an outline, and guiding the model to a conclusion. Insert is quite useful for producing source code. Codex was OpenAi's original motivation for implementing this feature since developers frequently add code to a file's middle section where previous and following code are already present. The model succeeds in completing the missing function while connecting to previously written code. A meaningful part of writing text and code is spent editing existing content.   Codex also adds a docstring and missing imports, which is not possible without knowing the code that comes after. In GitHub Copilot, Insert is currently being piloted with early promising results.
