There is some good news in all this: Disney decided to release the movie Frozen 2 on Disney Plus THREE MONTHS EARLY! How awesome is that?!

To celebrate and make a night out of it, my wife and I are going to create a DIY Night with Frozen 2 on Disney+ with Olaf and Kristoff shaped Kraft Mac n Cheese, watch Anna and Elsa (and #Samantha?) in the incredible musical sequel on Disney+, and go through our own Frozen 2 art book. It's gonna be great. We also have Sven and Olaf toy collectibles to keep us company (and focused on our crafting).

Coming off yesterday's review and reaction to the Rise of the Resistance ride, I wanted to address a question I've been seeing A LOT of lately about The Child (or Baby Yoda) from The Mandalorian:

Who is Baby Yoda (actually)?

In other words, we know that The Child is a lot like the original Yoda, but is he actually the OG Yoda or is he someone else entirely? What is Baby Yoda's name? Who really is Baby Yoda in Mandalorian?

What do we know, and what do we not know about The Mandalorian's Baby Yoda?

And, of course, this wouldn't be a Star Wars episode without some crazy speculation. So, we're going to dip into one of the wildest fan theories out there and see if it holds any weight.

1. Today, we learned that Disney/Pixar's Onward will feature an animated short before it begins...and it will star...The Simpsons! I don't know about you, but that's pretty wild to me.

Basically, a series that has made fun of Disney in the past, like a lot - and is now owned by Disney - will play before the latest major Disney release in theaters. Crazy times we live in, y'all!

2. While not exactly new news, we also know now that Onward will also feature the first openly LGBTQ animated character in a Pixar film. Live-action films - Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker and Beauty and the Beast, to name two - have had characters on the queer spectrum.

But, this is the first animated Pixar character to be openly gay. I, for one, think this is awesome. Equally should be everywhere.

SO MUCH happening today in the Wide World of Disney! Let's get right into it...

#1: Walt Disney World tells its employees to stay home?! (Coronavirus. Everything's fine.)

#2: Disney and Marvel fully embrace The Simpsons with an Avengers crossover episode, and I CANNOT WAIT FOR IT. (March 1st on FOX)

We got some crazy BREAKING NEWS yesterday *after* I'd already recorded the day's podcast. Couldn't they have let me know!? ;)

But seriously, here's the scoop: Bob Iger, CEO of The Walt Disney Company, stepped down effective immediately. Bob Chapek stepped in to replace him. This is only February of 2020. And it's already wild.

Much to everyone's relief, Iger will not be retiring right away.

Iger will stay on as Executive Chairman of TWDC and lead the board as well as creative efforts at the company through 2021.

This will give Chapek time to learn the ropes of being CEO of Disney, as well as Iger some time to really focus on the "creative engines", as he called them during an interview on CNBC yesterday.
