Feel Good: Everything but the... with Peter Tucci!
Alert! This is a very exciting episode, featuring a fabulous, cute and relatable person who we all know and love - Peter Tucci!
You've seen him on stage, you've seen him in the gym and you've seen him on your TVs and apps as an instructor on obé. But he's really just a Southern boy in a cosmopolitan world (I got this language from his shop - Tucci Attack) who isn't afraid to express himself and look b-e-a-utiful while doing it.
On this episode we chat about life, love, aliens, body image, dance, Pride and in a nutshell just loving who you are and being happy where you're at. For many of you, it will be the first time hearing the more "serious" side of Peter and you're welcome!
This is a slightly abridged but essentially unedited episode, so we could live into the theme of being #authentic. The original episode was 37 hours long. Enjoy!

Do Good: The DL on Animal Rights with Cat Besch, Founder and CEO, VAAR
Meowww!
We are back with another VERY exciting guest. And she gets REAL. That's right, everything we love about doing good - bad words, funny jokes, passion and angst! She's just a real human trying to make real change.
Cat Besch is the Founder and CEO of Vietnam Animal Aid and Rescue (VAAR), a 501c3 nonprofit operating in Hoi An, Vietnam since 2013. She opened the first nonprofit veterinary clinic and the only farm sanctuary in the country. VAAR runs a sanctuary for dogs, cats, pigs, chickens, and hedgehogs as well as projects for community outreach, sterilization and vet training programs, and vegan education programs for children and animal rescue groups. Cat has experienced a variety of political, cultural, and economic barriers in her work in Vietnam and continues to fight for animal rights globally and against speciesism and xenophobia within the animal advocacy movement.
On this episode we chat about the process of starting a nonprofit in animal rights field and some of the major barriers which make it different from organizations doing the same work in other countries, especially the US. We also chat about activist burnout/compassion fatigue and the importance of self care in social justice movements, particularly in animal rights. And of course, the public view on compensation for those working in the nonprofit sector, assumptions about volunteer reliance and the importance of hiring skilled professionals. Fun and spunky stuff!

Do Good: Start with Something Small with Dawn Daniels-McNear
Where to begin! After 2 weeks on the road we are back with a very VERY inspirational episode. I speak with Dawn Daniels-McNear who has been involved deeply with so many organizations and initiatives that this episode could have probably been broken down into a full season. Her life experience has provided her with a strong backbone and determination to provide empathy and support, working 1-1 with individuals experiencing or overcoming trauma.
But that’s not all! She also likes wine and dives deep into her DE&I work with a very COOL charter school - I learned so much about charter schools that I’m thinking I need to go back in time and attend one.
Anyway, the long of the short is …she is just a woman trying to make a difference in the world around her by raising responsible children, being active in her community and working to serve EVERYDAY. And she provides easy tips for giving back everyday in your own life!

LIVE: StreetWise Partners at Kramer's Books
This is a throw back episode from February 2020 and it is live! This episode will accompany a full-length recording soon to be released!
In partnership with, StreetWise Partners we dove into some very important and frequently asked questions like.. what should I spritz my resume with, what font should I use, etc..
While Washington D.C. has seen steady job growth over the past few years, this growth has been disproportionate. For those from overlooked communities, unemployment sits near recession levels. Individuals from these communities rarely have access to soft and professional skills training critical for job success, creating an opportunity gap that exacerbates inequality. StreetWise Partners is here to help!
Didn't get that job offer you were hoping for? Chris has created a template rejection of a rejection letter.
Dear StreetWise Partners,
After much consideration, I regret to inform you that I will not be able to accept your rejection at this time. I will see you Monday morning, ready to be trained on whatever it is I’ll be doing with your company. I wish you the best of luck with your future rejections.
Sincerely,
Chris

SPARC is a project of AEquitas and is funded by the Office of Violence Against Women. The views in this podcast are those of the interviewee.
This episode also features the one and only FRANQI FRENCH and she speaks to her own experience with stalking and how she overcame the experience to become the bad ass woman she is today! Little loo hoo
Sat on her chair
Scouring instagram
With such delicate care
She could not tap hard
She could not tap twice
She could not like a photo
That she thought was nice
“Am I a stalker,
Because I watch him all day?”
Silly little loo hoo
What a funny thing to say!
This is not stalking,
Your ex dont know you are there.
You’re not dressed up like Mrs. Doubtire
Braiding his hair
You’re simply waiting for updates
And watching his life
Fantasizing about when
You will be his wife.
We once called this stalking
But now we know best
We can watch our crushes
Instagram, snapchat - the rest
As long as they dont know
They can’t be afraid
Time to get that
Free data upgrade.. So you can watch them more
We are no longer creepy!
If he had only knew..
Here we are some more
Not-stalking things you can do:
You can watch their stories,
from fake accounts too
You can get your friends to
Send them pictures of you
You can find a girl in his post
Then go to her facebook
You can spend a few hours there
Just a little quick look
You can then find her ex
From 98 - yesteryear,
They went hunting together
Once they shot a deer
But this isn’t stalking
This causes no fear.
So go on your way now
Look at all the folks
Look at the pages
of those telling the jokes [what’s your handle? To the comic

Podception: Cup to Cup
For the first time in Do Good Feel Good history, we welcome another podcast to the show - Jacksonville's own, Cup to Cup!
Cup to Cup is just a bunch of guys talking about random but very entertaining man stuff like sports, beer, super heros, and more! Best of all - their fans actually interact with the pod! It's a super funny and enlightening show - featuring ZERO politics.
On this episode we welcome Cup to Cup profounder and producer, Jason - "a Florida raised, a Florida State University grad, Florida resident and Florida hater (the state and university). He’s the friend that you handle in small doses but need around to make things a little more interesting. He has few hobbies, loves his patient and beautiful wife, has 2 kickass labs and also owns the Packers. On the show, he’s the one in the background trying to keep the crew on track, talking about random things he finds on Instagram, that no one cares about. Jason’s skills can be easily described in 4 words; jack of useless trades." We also have the pleasure of hearing from that previously mentioned very patient and beautiful wife. :)
do good: Cup to Cup is sponsoring a local beer and mac n cheese competition (yet to be named) in Jacksonville, to benefit rescued pups! more deets to come!
feel good:: We are recording in a special beer making room at Fishweir

LIVE: Chesapeake Climate Action Network and Lafayette Wright
Do Good: This show benefited Chesapeake Climate Action Network
Their mission in brief: The Chesapeake Climate Action Network (CCAN) is the first grassroots, nonprofit organization dedicated exclusively to fighting global warming in Maryland, Virginia, and Washington, D.C. There mission is to build a diverse movement powerful enough to put our region on the path to climate stability, while using our proximity to the nation’s capital to inspire action in neighboring states, regions nationwide, and countries around the world.
Featured initiatives:
- Maryland - passed a 50% by 2030 renewable energy standard with a pathway to 100% by 2040 this past April (Clean Energy Jobs Act). They are continuing the fight to make clean energy accessible to everyone, and organizing to stop all new fossil fuel infrastructure in the state (particularly fracked-gas pipelines). We are also beginning to focus on reducing emissions from the transportation sector.
- Virginia - They are working to get VA on a pathway to 100% renewable energy, while focusing on job creation and holding polluting utilities responsible for their role in climate change.
- DC - DC is awesome and passed one of the strongest pieces of climate legislation last December (Clean Energy DC Omnibus Act of 2018) you can see implementation of it already with the expansion of solar.
