Trainspotting (1996): "What are you two talking about? Futbol. What are you talking about? Shoppin."

Trainspotting (1996): "What are you two talking about? Futbol. What are you talking about? Shoppin."

Mark Renton (Ewan McGregor) is trying to clean up and choose life, but hard intravenous drugs and his group of childhood friends make that difficult. Sick Boy (Jonny Lee Miller) always has a scam, Spud (Ewen Bremner) always goes along and Begbie (Robert Carlyle) who only does violence, usually manages to fook things up further. On the way down the spiral the monster of addiction takes Tommy (Kevin McKidd) and baby Dawn with it, but don't think that's gonna stop us from having a completely sleazy conversation about Trainspotting. With friends like these, who needs heroin? This time on Doom Generation.

Summer School (1987): "Tension breaker, had to be done."

We got tickets to Hawaii, but now we're stuck in Summer School. Freddy Shoop (Mark Harmon) is forced to cancel his Hawaii trip and (gulp) teach (?!) in order to secure his tenure. Unfortunately the remedial English class (Patrick Labyorteaux, Courtney Thorne-Smith, Kelly Jo Minter, Ken Olandt, Shawnee Smith, Richard Steven Horvitz), led by Chainsaw (Dean Cameron) and Dave (Dave Frazier), want some favors in return for learning. Will neighboring teacher Robin (Kirstie Alley) be able to help Freddy turn these kids into model students? Or will bite in the ass Gills (Robin Thomas) ruin everything? Weird Science (1985): "That's nasty, Wyatt. That's Chet, Gary."

We're serving up chips, dips, peaches, and cream (?) at this nasty little soirée this week. Hopeless high school geeks, Gary (Anthony Michael Hall) and Wyatt (Ilan Mitchell Smith), use the power of 80's technology (and a little accidental magic) to create their perfect woman, Lisa (Kelly LeBrock). She makes their bullies, Max (Robert Rusler) and Ian (Robert Downey Jr.) redefine their terms and helps them hook up with their dream girls, Deb (Suzanne Snyder) and Hilly (Judie Aronson). Hopefully they gain confidence before Chet the turd (Bill Paxton) comes home to ruin everything. Let's get weird, this week on Doom Generation!

Freaky Friday (1976): "I wish I could switch places with her for just one day."

TGIFF - Annabel Andrews (Jodie Foster) is struggling with typical teenage issues - braces, the boy next door, and crusty dirt feet.

Each of them think the other has it easy and make a fateful wish to switch places just for the day and have to walk a mile in each other's shoes. Boris (Marc McClure) has a sexual awakening, Ben (SPARKY MARCUS!) gets his life, Mrs. Schmauss (Patsy Kelly) gets fucking FIRED, and Dick Van Patten wears a neckerchief in this soul switching classic Freaky Friday - this time on Doom Generation!

Annie (1982): "Look at what I'm drippin' with...little girls."

In this very musical episode (which really isn't that musical), we discuss a childhood favorite and hope and dream along side little orphan Annie (Aileen Quinn). We follow Annie as she escapes drunken house mother Miss Hannigan (Carol Burnett) to a week of luxury at the Warbucks' estate. We get further into Tessa's lust for domineering bald men, Daddy Warbucks (Albert Finney) and explore the possibility of high class cannibalism. In the search for Annie's real parents, Miss Hannigan's brother Rooster (Tim Curry) and his girlfriend Lily St. Regis (Bernadette Peters) attempt to scam Daddy for the 50k reward. Everyone comes together to save the day and to prove that the sun will indeed come out tomorrow. We present Annie - in this episode of Doom Generation.
