A Man with A Purpose Ft. Jason Gray of Hello Zumble
For this week's episode of Do Something Good Today, I'm joined by my beloved friend and business partner Jason Gray. Jason is the co-founder of Zumble, which is a media company that creates content based around 90s pop culture. When the pandemic started, none of us imagined that we’d still be dealing with the effects of social distancing and wearing masks well over a year later. But here we are. And as the months drag on (and on… and on…), many of us are feeling even more exhausted, irritated and drained.
There is a popular notion that we discover our life purpose in one flash of inspiration. It’s easy to believe that if you just meet the right person, read the right book, or have the right experience that it will all click in a single instant. In episode 403, Jason discussed the toll that the pandemic played on him losing and rediscovering his purpose in life.
There was a deep-rooted emptiness inside him waiting to be filled. He discovered that what matters most is what satisfies our souls—those intangible things that make us feel alive from within. Join us for an enlightening episode as we discuss how Jason built a full fledge production company, launched his own black film streaming service, released one of the most popular trivia card games in the county and more all in the timespan of two years.

Episode 306: The New Brooklyn Farms Episode
There’s a part of our food system that’s not rarely discussed and, that is racial inequality. The separation of land, government subsidies, and financial resources that are available favor white farmers. Meanwhile, many of America’s sustainable farming practices actually stem from African and indigenous roots. Since the 1940s African-American farmers have lost over 10 million acres of land. Combine this with the fact that Black communities are also at a higher risk of illnesses due to a lack of access to fresh, nutritious food. It’s food injustice.
This week on Do Something Good Today, we’re joined by Doug Adams, founder of New Brooklyn Farms to dig into the life of a black farmer. We discussed why Doug got into farming, how can federal policy enable healthy food access, methods to prepare for a food shortage, how Doug financed his farming land, and more.
