During our live show today, I mentioned that I felt that things were going to soon improve within the Halls of Science. And just like that, it happened! Today, FDA Commissioner Dr. Marty Makary ordered removal of all pharmaceutical representatives (drug company employees) from scientific drug advisory panels! Imagine the blatant and intentional conflicts of interest that have surfaced throughout the years as insider drug employees were placed in decision-making scientific advisory meetings. Once inside, were drug employees incentivized to influence which drugs were approved? I believe this represents a blatant conflict of interest as I can only guess that inside deals were made. But then again, absolutely nothing shocks me when coming from the pharmaceutical industry. Doug Talks About: How Do I Know if My Health Problems Are Linked to Fungus?

“Doug, thank you for talking about fungus!” I’m so fortunate to hear (or read) this many times daily! I can only guess why Mycology (the study of fungus) is void during medical education, but I was so blessed to independently study fungus and their poisons (mycotoxins) as they related to human symptoms and diseases. I was then able to take the information that older Mycology library books offered and work with physicians by adding a perspective to their medical practices they hadn’t been taught. Sadly, medical training is largely void in instruction of systemic fungal disorders and current verbiage contends that these disorders are very rare. Have you had the seasonal flu this year? If not, it’s probably a good thing, because a new study contends that having the flu increases your risk of having a heart attack within the first week of the infection sixfold! I very seriously doubt that the flu increases the risk of a heart attack sixfold, but when combining this study with other studies, I believe that its conclusions (the flu increases the risk of a heart attack) but not its headline (it's not the flu doing this!), are accurate. Doug Talks About: Another fungus-cancer link.

On Friday from 10-11AM, we will take yet another glance at the formation of cancer as though fungal poisons contribute to it. Let’s travel between two distinct Bible verses within this show. Jeremiah 5:21 states, “Hear now this, O foolish people, and without understanding; which have eyes, and see not; which have ears, and hear not.” How is it that cancer specialists, who discovered disease causing fungi in 90% of the homes of their leukemia patients (I will share this paper with you during the show), then blame then homes for these patients returning to the hospital with Invasive Fungal Infections (IFI)? Hospitals are breeding grounds for germs like fungi which pose a threat to already immunocompromised patients with leukemia. But these scientists minimize their own culpability by discovering fungus within the patients’ homes! First, they admit that their own cancer treatments caused immunosuppression, then they acknowledge that IFI’s would add to the severity of their leukemia. No where in this 2024 study is there even a thought that the mold/fungus in these cancer patients homes either caused their leukemia or is mimicking it. “Father, forgive them, for they know not what they do.” Luke 23:34. Doug Talks About: What Happens When You Inhale Mold?

Within the past 3 decades, medical insurance carriers have commonly denied fungal disease medical claims. They still do. Within that same time, homeowners’ insurance companies began denying claims linked to remediating indoor mold. I believe that money, not science, is behind these denial claims. If I am correct, that many if not most symptoms we humans suffer from likely have a fungal basis and fungus can be inhaled inside a toxic home, then this would make sense as treating fungal illness would financially drain insurance companies. Yet most doctors and insurance companies deny this and that makes perfect financial sense to me. But it doesn’t make scientific sense. Doug Talks About: Antibiotic Overdose + Killer Fungus Moving Rapidly

A new research paper in Molecular Cancer helps us better understand the role of fungi in a disease we call cancer; “Accumulating evidence suggests a possible involvement of commensal and pathogenic fungi in cancer initiation, progression, and treatment responsiveness. Wednesday at 11AM, we're going to let you listen to a true lung expert who was on my show a few years ago. Who would ever believe that 80-90% of the problems that exist within our lungs is linked to fungus? When he is uncertain, he does a bronchoscopy on his patients to determine if it is bacteria or fungus that is contributing to their respiratory problems. Doug Talks About: RFK Yay or Nay?

Make America Healthy Again says Robert F. Kennedy, Jr. who now heads our Health and Human Services (HHS) Department. Our liberal communities contend that Kennedy is a conspiracy theorist who erroneously believes that changing food ingredients are making kids sick, that antidepressants are linked with school shootings, that vaccinations are linked to autism and other illnesses and that WiFi is linked to cancer. Conservatists, on the other hand, contend that Kennedy is a timely nominee who merely wants to investigate if the current high pediatric mental and physical illness rates have to do with food ingredients or medical interventions such as excessive vaccines and medications. While Kennedy points out that the 72 vaccinations children receive have not been formally studied or guaranteed safe and effective, our government has offered full indemnification to the vaccine makers and the doctors who give them. Drug companies argue that their vaccine formulas are proprietary, and the ingredients need not be disclosed to those giving or receiving vaccines.

As is often the case, when dealing with fungal diseases, there are more questions than answers. In the mid-1980’s, I discovered a method of indicating or ruling out fungus as the cause of people’s symptoms and/or disease. We now know that approximately 4,000,000 die annually of fungal diseases. Can you just imagine how many are sickened every year by them? The numbers are staggering, leading us to ask, am I one of them? Doug Talks About: If you had cancer, what would you do? If you have had it, what have you done? Help me help others!

We were a family of 7 and 5 of us contracted cancer. Mom, dad, two sisters and my brother all had cancer and three of those five have passed. With family cancer stats like these, I often wonder what my chances of getting or worse, succumbing to cancer really are. On Monday from 3-4PM, let’s discuss the cancer of yesteryear and juxtapose it with the cancer of today. By doing so, you’ll be able to see why I remain optimistic that cancer can be prevented and taking antifungal medications is not part of the program (although I did this in the late 1980’s). Preventing cancer, or any disease for that matter, needs to be regularly discussed in this forum, particularly because the tract the FDA has us on as far as pharmaceutical treatments is abysmal. Does the human body mistakenly injure itself? I don’t believe it does, but according to the medical community the answer is "yes, it does." In the 1950’s the term “Auto Immune Disease” was coined. Scientists argued that allergies and anaphylaxis (life-threatening allergic reactions) were proof that our body does self-injure itself. Mind you, auto-immunity is a 65-year-old theory that has never been challenged. Why is that? Let's talk on Monday. Doug Talks About: Once upon a time in a medical clinic

The year was 1986. David Weakley, MD invited me to relocate my family from California to Texas to work with him after he witnessed some amazing patient results while using diet and antifungal medications for their skin problems. He senior nurse was Linda. Thursday is Linda’s birthday, and I will be picking her up and bringing her to our studios, then we have a birthday surprise for her, followed by lunch. We laughed that we were both in our 40’s when we met….and how quickly the years have passed. Dr. Weakley’s patients and all of us in his dermatology clinic loved (and still love) Linda. Dr Weakly passed in the 1990’s and left Linda and me with such wonderful memories that we hope to share with you. Doug Talks About: So...it doesn't matter what you eat?

Here are two distinct medical truths. First, food impacts health. Second, fungus kills almost 4 million humans annually. Why is it, then, that American medical schools are avoiding these truths? It is my opinion that Max Planck, the German theoretical physicist who won the Nobel Prize in 1918 for his quantum physics discovery, summed up this medical school discrepancy perfectly over 100 years ago. Planck stated, “A scientific truth does not triumph by convincing its opponents and making them see the light, but rather because its opponents eventually die, and a new generation grows up that is familiar with it.” May I get an "Amen?"

Doug Talks About: Pressure to Prescribe

Are you discovering that you’re feeling better and better when addressing a possible fung is this donal/mycotoxin cause to your past misery? For over 50 years, my goal has been to stay well, thereby circumventing, for now, the need for doctors and medical care facilities. Many of you feel this same way. But circumventing routine annual visits and procedures is loosing money for someone, and they need to make up for that loss. How might they do this? It feels to me like more aggressive diagnoses and treatments are being made daily. Decades ago, lowering blood fat levels set the stage. Recently, they lowered the “target” of blood pressure readings leading to an increase in high blood pressure diagnoses and therefore more prescriptions for B/P medications. Another example of this was just published on a medical website. As it turned out, one in five older adults who received Medicare “Annual Wellness Visits”, or AWV’s, weren't really well at all. A full 21% of them were found to have “mild cognitive impairment!” As the article points out, new Alzheimer’s drugs “have increased pressure on physicians to evaluate cognitive changes…” On Monday from 3-4PM Central Time, I will share some fascinating studies with you that clearly, yet subtlety, indicate that over-diagnoses and over-treatment may be occurring much more broadly than we are currently aware of. A large study involving almost 8,000,000 people exposed (or not) to various antibiotics, then evaluated for incidence of cancers took place in 2019. As I have been teaching you for many years, antibiotics increase the risk of various cancers by between 18-30%. This article dovetails perfectly with a new article in the New England Journal of Medicine, entitled The Failing U.S. Health System.
