Friday! And...2020 is now almost 1/2 over. I'm not 😢about it
Dear 2020, you're almost at the half way point.  We're not sad about it! What I'm doing to try and make 2020 at least  0.0000001% better (I know, I'm shoveling against the tide right now.) 1. Art of Getting a New (Or Better) Job During a Pandemic - is now full! Thanks to those who signed up, and let's get you fired up! Also, if you missed out and have FOMO - just email me and I can get you on the wait list. 2. The New Pharmacist: 46 Doses of Advice - Chapter reading each Wed this summer - enjoy! 3. Is it time for reform of APPE required pharmacy school rotations? Last, and certainly not least, my heart goes out to the Floyd family, and to all victims of police/racial discrimination and brutality everywhere. Our country is angry and hurting right now, and I am very, very heartbroken over this. There are no words. Take care of yourselves and each other until next time.

🍍Part 6 - Activist Moni Sengupta: Podcast Miniseries on Women's History Month, Jane Austen and #SavingSanditon!
(Podcast miniseries art of Jane Austen courtesy of the University of Texas Libraries, The University of Texas at Austin.) Let's jump on a plane and talk to the peeps in charge when something goes haywire, shall we? I love Moni Sengupta's story about heading to Boston to see the premier of Sanditon here in the states. I think Jane would have been proud of her!  Here's her bio: Moni is a Washington DC lawyer, wife, and mom of three teenagers. She is a huge Jane Austen fan. She's lived in DC for nearly 30 years and is originally from a suburb of Boston. And, she is a dual US and UK citizen, however, so part of her Jane Austen affinity comes from that! She's on Twitter at: @moshimisen. Listen in to hear what she did to share how to keep the story alive for a #SanditonSeason2! _ CAUTION: there are many spoilers in this miniseries from Season 1 of Sanditon, which was a recent PBS/Masterpiece and ITV/Red Planet miniseries production which happened in early 2019.. If you have not yet seen the miniseries, you may not want to listen to this podcast miniseries until you do so. 🍍Part 4 - Screenwriter Simone Snow: Podcast Miniseries on Women's History Month, Jane Austen and #SavingSanditon!
(Podcast miniseries art of Jane Austen courtesy of the University of Texas Libraries, The University of Texas at Austin.) Who BETTER to interview for the Jane Austen/Save Sanditon podcast miniseries than someone...in television?!? Yay! Simone Snow is a Hollywood Executive Assistant by day, and a screenwriter by night (and weekends). She majored in Creative Writing at Knox College, and she earned an MFA in Screenwriting at the University of Southern California. She's worked as support staff on television shows, at production companies, and currently at a major Hollywood studio. Her ultimate goal is to write for dramatic television, depicting and promoting diversity for women and people of color to see themselves as heroes and leading characters—not just sidekicks—on screen. With nearly a decade of industry experience under her belt, Simone knows her chosen career path is going to be an uphill battle. However, it's one she's eager to help fight. Simone is over at Twitter: https://twitter.com/SimoneSnow This month, in honor of Women's History Month, our love of Jane (for being so ahead of her time and creating heroines who are strong, smart and bold), we are rolling out a podcast miniseries to celebrate her final work. She have read all of her novels and enjoyed many of the screen adaptations. She too is part of the #SanditonSisterhood. 🍍Part 2 - Writer Angie Stenning: Podcast Miniseries on Women's History Month, Jane Austen and #SavingSanditon!
(Podcast miniseries art of Jane Austen courtesy of the University of Texas Libraries, The University of Texas at Austin.) Our Women's History Month celebration of Jane Austen continues! Today's chat is with a woman who I so admire - she created HER VERY OWN HAPPILY EVER AFTER ENDING of Sanditon after watching season 1!  Tune in to hear more about how she became active in the Sanditon Sisterhood, and more important - where you can read HER adapted happily ever after endings for Sanditon, even if we never get them on TV or the Big Screen! Angie's bio: Angie Stenning began her career in a variety of administrative roles in early 1990’s and went on to join the U.K. Civil Service in 1997. During her Civil Service career, spanning over twenty years, Angie has fulfilled a variety of managerial roles and is currently employed as an Information Manager. Angie began writing after the loss of her mother to cancer, and wrote her first published poem at the age of 11.  She continued to write poetry throughout her teen’s and twenty’s and a number have been published in anthologies. After taking an extended break from writing, Angie only started writing again during the 2019 ITV televised Jane Austen drama, Sanditon. Since then, Angie has returned to writing poetry, but has found a new love for prose. Her first fan fiction Return to Sanditon was published to Archive of Our Own (AO3) and Wattpad in November 2019 and has been read over 30,000 times. She continues her story with two further Return to Sanditon Novella’s (Crowe & Edward’s stories). In January this year, Angie was accepted onto the Romantic Novelists Association (RNA) New Writers Scheme and is currently writing her first full length novel set in the regency period. Angie works full time, is studying for a Charters Managers Degree and is mum to two boys, two dogs and two ponies and lives in rural North Dorset on the south coast of England. Yeehaw! We made it to Friday! Here's part 5 of the 5 part miniseries on the 5 types of mentors you need right now! And I argue - there's two tricks to this type today: 1. If you enjoyed this little miniseries this week - could you do me a solid and give me a rating over at Apple Podcasts? I'd be appreciative!  I'll be back with more shenanigans soon - hope this miniseries was helpful!
