Dragged Out

 With opinions from all of those interviewed in previous episodes, Max gets an idea of what the future of Davie Village looks like, and what Vancouver drag performers will need to do to survive and thrive in that future. Performers share the projects they are working on in the future.

Max looks into drag performers that are taking their acts past the confines of the city’s nightclubs – she speaks with Do-It-Yourself community art venues to see how drag lives on outside of Davie Village, and finds out about those venues' own struggles with money and City legislature.

Max heads to Vancouver's east side to learn more about the flourishing drag scene in that side of the city. She explains the differences between east side drag and west side drag (if there are any), and she learns more about the diverse history of drag on the East side from the help of a few friends.

 Max meets with a city planner to learn more about the climate of owning and operating a club in Vancouver from a legal perspective. Current club owners and Davie Village drag hosts explain how they are keeping themselves afloat in light of the closings.
