When we become Christians the innate talents we have are repurposed in alignment with our gift(s). As we walk with the Lord, the Holy Spirit guides us as to how to use the gift(s). Most importantly after learning one's gift(s) is to use them to serve others and fulfill God's purposes. To edify and build up the kingdom of God. When we use our gifts effectively we: (1) give the church power for the preached word to come forth to the world. (2) equip the church for building up the body of Christ.
