As we're helping the next generation succeed, we need to encourage them and remind ourselves of the importance of patience. As we look at Nehemiah, we see him exercise patience and wait on God to show him what to do.
Too often we feel the need to push young people into things or press them to have it all figured out. The reality is that patience is important both for them and for those who are trying to help them succeed.

In this Episode I sit down with Mark Ostreicher and talk about the teenage brain and how a greater understanding of how our kids are developing in this area can help us as we seek to help them.
We talk practical advice about the way that the adolescent brain develops and what parents, youth workers, and other adults can do to help them exercise their brains and grow as a result.
Be sure to check out Marko's books as well as his current ministry The Youth Cartel.

Psalm 127 reminds us of the blessing that kids are, and I have the opportunity to share some things about the way that God works in kids' lives by telling the story of one of the families in our church.
I hope this Podcast episode brings value to parents who are often overwhelmed with parenting. Hopefully we can walk beside each other and partner together to teach the next generation that Jesus changes everything.
My prayer is that this Podcast can be a resource to parents as we seek to help our kids love God and love others.

Too often we think of prayer as us just talking to God, when it is really us communicating with God. It includes both talking and listening to Him. It provides us with a way of connecting with Him.
In this episode, Daniel Pieper shares with us what it means to connect with God through prayer.
This bonus episode includes the audio summary of my talk from Sunday evening at our Springdale Community Church Student Gathering.
I spoke about how Christmas is not always as magical as it is portrayed in the movies. Sometimes it is a lot worse. It certainly was for Mary.
But God stepped in to remind her that He is always with her.
