Side note: I'm still in my pyjamas
It did taste like whiskey! Was it a dream? What is happening? Cassie's dad is trying to make fetch happen - we know how that will end. Are your pockets full of party? Let's get this party out of the pocket. DID WE SNAP?! It's sunshine on a CD! Put on your Vans, put on your favourite ripped T, and go and have fun. What a week of new songs and lols. Beware of The Crowening. Chris probably isn't essential, right? Throw Dug By Us a follow on Instagram, tell your mates, say hi, all of it! New music reviews & recommendations in around 10 minutes. Follow us down the dark, bluestone steps. Sit by the fire. Cassie can already taste the whiskey in her mouth. It's smoked, and there's a cheese board. She wants - quote - "shirts ripped off, somebody else's glitter all on my body, I want sweat dripping from everywhere, I want some ridiculous headband I'm going to regret paying $20 for..." Do it, do it, do it, now
This may be the first time our title is born from singing. Cassie couldn't help herself. And we're loving that Cassie seems back in a zone of genuine buzz & passion for music and presenting a real zest for it again. It's also the first episode containing the word "sloppy". Thanks again to Cassie for that one. We review last week's Low Cut Connie and Holiday Sidewinder and add another two songs to the mega, mega Dug By Us playlist that you'll find on Spotify. What music are you loving right now? Let us know on all the socials!!

You want realness? I got you more realness. Has Chris been a stay at home dad for too long? Is 2020 getting the better of his fragile mind? Hit us up for a chat @dugbyus on socials any time. Music, life, whatever. We're here. Does the new Miley song ping in your guts? Are you on the train? The wrecking ball was a disco ball! Our two new songs come from Australian artists again - hope you dig them. In the wise words of Cassie Walker: "Remember: I am not your son" This is now a Not For Print podcast. Enjoy the fruits of life
I'm keen for it! I'm hungry for it! "Might shock a few..." We dig a bit deep this week in to music habits, mindsets, prejudices, safety nets, open eyes, open minds and open doors! Ever wondered "Why doesn't anyone else know this song? It's sick!" Well Chris has too. And he'll share a song that inspired this claim within this incredible podcast episode. Discussing the current Melbourne lockdown lifestyle, Cassie got a bit reflective: "We're gonna look back at this podcast in 10 years and be like WHAT?! WOW! This is a really great time capsule for us. I have no doubt that it's gonna be something that we look back on..." and we hope we do. Feel free to binge a few past episodes whenever you like. We'll have 2020 wrapped up weekly like some sort of audio-journal with a kick arse soundtrack. Cassie also thinks anger banger is my favourite genre (that Chris just invented) Did you get on that good stuff train? Let us know what music you're digging!

Dirty words
Cronut fancy! Mmmmmmmmm. A glimmer of wellness: fantastic to have Cassie back in full voice. Last week's songs both great successes, again! Even if one was a big heap of shade on Chris, he still loves it. If anything, he was irresponsible. Sometimes it's a little bit how ya goin'. Two Melbourne artists brought to this week's table and we hope you dig 'em. You know that really cool swagger? It's got swagger. Get in the bin! A lot more words than episode 40. Listen to the whole 10 minutes so this makes some sort of cohesive sense.

Thank you so much to Trif App who have sponsored this episode! Check out @trifapp on all your social channels platforms. Cassie lurched up from her sickbed to provide us with more than 8 glorious minutes of music conversation and optimism to carry in to the future. Such a trooper. Ill tonsils will not stop her from sharing her passion for kick ass music, it'll just delay our episode by a couple of days :-D Leah Senior, Blink 182, Goldminds and Acid Moon and the Pregnant Sun are our dug artists this week. Thanks for the tunes!

Historically or hysterically?
It's another show packed with mostly positive vibes. "I think that's the perfect soundtrack for this pretty drab winter. I think it's a nice escape for us this week. " Which song is Cassie referring to here? Hopefully it's one you like too. She isn't crazy...... MUCH! Brace for a mighty angry rant from her! "I'm bloody over it. I'm sick of rules. I'm sick of getting fresh air with a mask on my face, I'm sick of feeling unmotivated, I'm sick of not having a normal life, I'm sick of doing my own dishes..." Let's hope this Melbourne quarantine works the way it should so we can calm that special mind down. If you feel that, know you're not alone. Say g'day on our Dug By Us socials.

Not getting high with a boy named Justin
Dancing in the kitchen. So much fun. You will please me, damn it! Hope you're feeling OK. We're not as sad as it sounds like we might be in parts of this, but times are tough in Melbourne - to quote Cassie, everything is not cool. But we're here to help each other. We have a private Facebook group now, search Dug By Us and join in with us. This week Cassie claims someone is the Freddy Mercury of our time! And Chris brings in our first official Bieber reference. He wasn't just scatting to fill a gap. Happy Gilmore gets in too! Who's side are you on? Glitter makes the world better? OR Glitter is the coronavirus of craft?

The way the cookie crumbles, baby
The episode that made Cassie feel like a little girl at Christmas! So excited. I think she wants a pony. We don't deliver a pony in this 11 minute audio piece but we do discuss some incredible songs. 4 from probably 4 mutually exclusive genres. I love that about Dug By Us. Even the first 2 we review today - from IDLES and Jack Garratt - they weren't exactly from each others' go-to vibes, but the respect is there. We can grow! We can challenge our minds and our instincts! We welcome music from all types on this show! Except you. Get nicked.

Like I just stole your little lunch
From having a tangent 20 seconds in, we kept this baby on the rails... for at least the next 6 minutes. Train wreck declared. "It's like I just stole your little lunch", Cassie exclaims, laughing at an obviously wounded Chris. Earlier Cassie thanked all those responsible for the music: "I am so filled with joy whenever I put the headphones in to my ears, and it's just a really great time because we have a lot of it, and we can fill it with listening to new music." That was a nice bit. We even manage some weather-based small talk. And discussing Chris going FULL song nerd, pretending he hosted rage. Holly Joyce - dug. Margo Price - dug. What will be the verdicts on IDLES and Jack Garratt? #JaggerSwagger

Now she's high-fiving herself
Gee wiz. How much caffeine is too much? We're assured it's not a police matter. Don't patronize me. Is hole a naughty word? Cassie's bedroom looks great now. She also lives in the gutter. The Beths, DMAs, My Morning Jacket, Buzzard Buzzard Buzzard all receive mentions but no nominations!! They go to Margo Price - with a song that isn't a nursery rhyme - and Holly Joyce, who may possibly need protection. Come on, champ! I think I need a nap after this. Honestly for a while though, thanks for all your feedback, support and checking out the songs we feature. Crazy good.

I don't know what to do with my face
You can't wave - it's a podcast. Dug By Us brings you more new music reviews and recommendations, in less than the time it takes to walk to the café, wait for your coffee, then walk back. Many thank yous and many diversions in this. Cassie likes sucking lemons. She's a rebel with a cause: to bring some brand new new music to you. 2 news. Yes. You'll hear it here first! The show must go on. Her song this week makes her feel warm & fuzzy. Chris believes his song is insulting & rude - a point he backs up by dropping f bombs and entering a rare babbling rant territory for him. A broken clock is right twice a day. We're stoked this exists. Thank you for downloading. Hope you enjoy!!

A middle finger to the dictionary
Hopefully this feels like a nice, warm, dressing gown cuddle. Unless you're a badass in a leather jacket. (These references will make sense when you listen). Then have a lounge room dance party. Cassie has the sniffles and powers through like the boss she always is. Do you wanna move? Wanna dance? Get some trombone in to ya. Leon Bridges and Witchskull receive thumbs up for last week's songs - let's hope these new ones are dug by one and all!

Bonus bag of chips
This begins with Cassie bringing nothing but sunshine and positive well wishes. Then Chris goes *whack* with the rudeness. Boom. It's unbelievable to witness, really. Thanks so much to Cassie's pop, Patrick, for providing moral support as a rare audience member. What a legend. Off the top of our heads we can't remember if 2 new songs have been as dynamically opposed as these - but for that reason we hope you get some extra love for them. More Wayne's World references please. Also if you were a fan of Tiltmeter please let us know if Chris' words are on the money.

Sitting on the toilet for like way too long
4 bangin' new song reviews in under 10 minutes - full value. Quotes you'll hear in this episode: How to pluck hairs out of your eye. The diggingest of diggest. I get excited; you get de-cited. I want to be housemates with them so I can borrow their clothes. We're just a bunch of fools. The Main Squeeze and The Merindas provided big ticks last week... how will the two new recommendations go? We have Self Talk and FEVER 333 to test in the next week.

Something has flicked
Within the first minute Cassie says she deliberately ignores Chris and shuns his requests. Well ain't that great teamwork. Luckily this week was a rare display of respect and we move forward with camaraderie and an Iggy Pop-style lust for life. Thank you Miiesha for blessing us with your new album Nyaaringu. Thank you Nothing But Thieves for your 4 minutes of fun. We each give a shoutout to songs we didn't choose! Sorry Rolling Blackouts Coastal Fever. Sorry Denzel Curry, Kamasi Washington and the other artists involved with the new song Pig Feet. You don't make it! But we have some rippers. Good fun songs. For fun times. 2020.

Proudly sponsored by... no one
Apologies for Chris' mic quality! Hopefully you dig what he says. Hopefully you dig Cassie's singing too... listen out for that tasty little easter egg. If Muse weren't millionaires, what would they sound like? Which song should Nicki Minaj absolutely not perform? What will Ian's new name be? Who needs to shut up? All vital questions posed in yet another thrilling edition of Dug By Us.

She's just here to kick your arse
Who is she? You'll have to listen to discover the truth. OoOoOoOoh. So apparently the song Chris brought in last week had too much saxophone for Cassie to handle, even though she has a wardrobe packed with pink pastel. Either he needs to know where to draw the line, or Cassie needs to let the line breathe. You decide. Let us know @dugbyus. Also, 2 F bombs! It's full on here!!! Sorry Mum. We censored them for you. These 4 songs are legitimately different genres and we hope you dig them all.

Welcome to the 27 Club
Alternative titles include: 1) "It's like moist, you know? You just know", or 2) "More Keith Richards than Moon", or 3) "I have to do what is in my heart". You can choose which you prefer. Sentimental or silly? What's your vibe this week? Well trust that there is a song in the Dug By Us playlist for you, no matter how you're feeling. There are some crackers recently. Today Voiid and Chitra receive 10/10 reviews while we preview The Midnight and show favourite Hayley Williams. The past haunts Chris. And all our love to great friend Matt Haywood - happy birthday Sir. Hope everyone has a great week.

We couldn't get away with that on the dancefloor
There's some really joyous stuff in this and there's also whatever the hell Chris was on about when discussing the latest from The Used. Four awesome 2020 songs discussed, an internet drop out, and a potential permanent rift in the collaboration that may never heal. But it probably will. Because we love doing this and hope you do too. Honestly, we're still vibing on Sauti Sol ft. Soweto Gospel Choir's song from last week, so get on that if you need to lift your mood. Or let us know anything you're digging - find @dugbyus on whatever social media you like.

Help me curate my life, please
Happy vibes to everyone. It was never in the plan, but somehow the last bit of this chat is dedicated to Mark Holden. Certainly it was Chris' time to get the sillies this week, and he meant no offence to any members of Blink 182, The Used, S Club 7, Josh Homme, Vanessa Amorosi or The Mamas & The Papas. 2 of them weren't mentioned in this episode. Birth Taxes Metallica Death.

You literally get a kickstart to your heart
Jeans are not comfortable! There, we said it. Throughout April, Chris + Cassie have rested the well-worn jeans and everyone's happier as a result. More tracksuit pants. More pyjamas. (Cassie's have Jimmy Barnes' face on them). Dim the lights, light a candle and get around the 4 songs we feature this week. The Datsuns get name-checked twice, even Gaga manages to pop her head back in here somehow. But these songs are jams. And new music is the best. Thanks for listening.

I love a hot mess. I am a hot mess.
Cassie sucks at French. She wore headphones in the bath. She has a pink water bottle. But she's not the only one providing personality in this thing... have you seen Chris' beard? (Apparently it's ginger!) Isolation is providing each of us with a justified opportunity to make a fashion mistake we will regret the rest of our lives. TAKE IT! He certainly is. Video calls? Shmideo Shmalls. Hope you like this week's new music as much as we did. Fun stuff from several genres and positive vibes all round.

Nope, nope, nope, you're like a vomit
There is nothing wrong with wanting to dance in your lounge room and shake your butt and just have a really fun time. It doesn't matter if you dance a bit dorky or you're a bit goofy, because everyone's accepted. A wholesome message from Cassie there, which somewhat makes up for the vomit-tinged shade she threw Chris earlier on. Then he got a little salty. But it's all good. Hahaha this is the episode you record after a 4 day "weekend" while isolated. Thankfully we'd been isolaided, too. Should we press this button?

I'm scared, but I'm gonna go there
We've been recording these live on Instagram, so get involved there if you dare see our faces. Socially distant episode number 3. Mics working properly today! For the most part, we enjoy the songs the other suggests, although Chris is taking a huge risk with his choice this week. He believes he's reached a JPI, but we'll be the judge of that. Don't Go Outside! Our Spotify playlists are BOOOOMING.

Can we rename it to episode 666?
\m/ Coz we got two devil references! \m/ Straight up Chris would like to apologise for his audio quality... he somewhat failed 2nd attempt at home isolated recording. This was recorded while on Instagram Live, which was awesome, but we think he was distracted. We learnt Cassie has a rocket ship at her house, that in isolation we don't have to wear makeup, CAN grow beards, and that she officially has experiences that she is experiencing. We also learn her favourite position. We're in to a more dynamic future. Get involved.

Sweaty in a pit with glitter on my face
Our first episode recorded in a socially distant world. EPISODE-19. Cassie raves about a song so much her hands were going bananas. Both of us were feeling the weight of the world and the more we spoke the brighter our moods became. Times are tough and the more positive vibes we spread, the more personal interaction we can make, we'll all be better for it. Even if things aren't face to face. We can still share community. All the best to you.

Did you read my journal?

Joined by Harts, this is a mega special episode. Insight, passion, it's all music and it's all fascinating. Fresh off involvement with the record-breaking T20 Women's World Cup, reaching #5 in 2019's Hottest 100, new shows and new songs, Harts hooks right in to the Dug By Us vibe and we're all here for it.

Kind of like a party drug
Less than 9 minutes. Get to the point! 3 songs to review and 2 to preview. And all things seem pretty positive, despite Cassie's husky asthma-affected voice. Prepare for blasphemy! Is Pomplamoose the new Hoobastank? Does Iggy Pop? All these questions and more answered within. We dig stuff. Do you dig stuff? Get that shovel and spread the glory far and wide.

Something about blue & white shirts
Does Incubus sound like Incubus? Who do you sound like? Another special guest joins us today, so strap yourself in. More songs, more passion, and we may or may not have our first repeat artist! Thank you Tom Martin for sharing your opinions in this safe and wholesome environment. Warrnambool score their first mention so congratulations. Please send us any feedback - songs you're enjoying, what you think of the podcast... go nuts. Leave reviews. All that stuff. We'd love to hear from you.

Involves a mountain and luscious hair
Success! We both enjoyed each other's songs from last week. Failure! Cassie announced the wrong title for her song last week. We take the wins and losses here on Dug By Us. 4 great songs discussed, 1 apology to Neville. There's an oxymoron, some laughter, and under 10 minutes again. Great.
09:48

Complaining about a problem that doesn't exist
There's a whole Neville. Cassie promised she wouldn't laugh at or interrupt Chris, but fails almost immediately. Granted, he did have a peculiar look on his face, but please hold it together Cassie. There's a respect issue here. We review and preview more great songs in this episode. Back to under 10 minutes. Packed with awesome. Apologies to John Mayer for the backhanded compliment. We love you.

Because we were too passionate this week
Many sins to absolve this week: It's long. We have disagreements. There's a burp. Andrew from Wolfmother drops an F bomb (we beeped it). Scandals a-plenty! Let's have a royal commission into this episode. But we won't apologise, on account of the the amazing songs we discuss and even the ones that aren't so amazing. Listen and enjoy, also let us know who's side you're on for opinion clashes.

Wank for a minute, I don't care
Ryan "Rabs" Warren joins the show and takes the liberty of listing about half a dozen songs. Well played Rabs, well played. Make the most of the time you have. So 3 songs are added to the playlist this week and I'm pretty darn certain you will love all three. I don't know what your personal taste is, but these songs are good. Billie Eilish is bloody brilliant, just in case there was any doubt. Cassie needs to stop judging artists based on punctuation and grammar.

Discovering new music is sweet
Ep 10! Wowee. Other quotes include "I didn't want to dig it", "worldwide radio greatness" and "smashed tambourine is my sax". Yep, we celebrate some tambourine; too often an unsung hero. Chris praises the Hottest 100, Cassie tries to get over herself, and we all learn and have fun together. Please leave a review and let us know what's going on in that head of yours. Happy 10th.

I just fanged it all weekend
In under 10 minutes, potentially discover 4 new songs. In this episode we go through the alphabet of rock by mentioning Wolfmother and Wolf Alice. To be honest, we didn't really dive very far. But they're both in there! Chris is introduced to Brat Punk. We have one moment where Cassie becomes so shook she had to put down her tea. Frantic-tick-tick-tick-tick-tick-TOK

This cheese has ruined me
Welcome to 2020! New music from Wolfmother bobbed up this week, and Cassie shares her discovery of Madison Cunningham. Hopefully these give you all the positive vibes you need to both energize and calm you during what's already been a hectic calendar year. Cassie also shares that she was born via C section - for some insane reason - listen to learn the context on that one.

Oomphy & mature / Sunshine on your face
A really passionate episode where we celebrate our personal favourite songs for 2019. Chris more or less labels Cassie a hypocrite. Here's what else we could have titled this one: all recorded quotes. "It's just off chops." "I'm submitting audio to your mum." "My shoe just made a funny sound." "Who even knows if you're wearing pants or not." "Like a hard cheese." "Don't brush your hair." "This is the perfect amount of sax." "I didn't fart." Honestly, what even is this anymore? Dug By Us. Share, subscribe, tell your mates, get around. Cheers.

Cheers to all others who receive a shoutout today: Wil Anderson, Hamish & Andy, Nic Kelly, Ella Hooper, Dan Sultan, Olympia, MOBS, Jimmy Eat World, Waterboys, U2, musicians and producers everywhere. Merry Christmas, happy holidays, get festive and celebrate awesomeness.

How dare you have fun with our podcast?!
Summer is here. Christmas is here. Chris presents a festive song that seriously whoops and Cassie uses it as an opportunity to insult and stereotype him. We present two Australian acts for the first time. Cassie drops her pen because she was so passionate. She also snorts when she laughs. It is the future, and I'm here.

For your music consumption of knowledge and power
Cassie has a delicious lunch, fueling her Dug By Us recovery where she correctly 1) reviews and 2) introduces a new song to the playlist. Towards the end, Chris drinks some water. We praise Kesha, Rina Sawayama, Holy Wars and the latest Mark Ronson & Anderson.Paak collaboration. They're all dug by us.

I cocked up the first one
Cassie drops a bomb. Is penalized her entry. A scandal you wouldn't expect from a show in its third episode. I mean it's really staggering. Cassie laughs it off but I have serious doubts regarding the long term viability of such a reckless, brilliant, thought-provoking, legendary, inspiring podcast. It's so good.

What were you expecting? Jazz flute?
Dug By Us episode 2. We recap the two new songs recommended last episode, and share two additional songs that we dig. You say yee, I say haw. Does Cassie dig the first song Chris brought to the table last week? How awkward if she doesn't.

Sounds like a bum and a vagina
First episode. Cassie & Chris explain the premise of the podcast. Chris thinks it's a good idea to say "don't listen" and Cassie says "vagina" and calls herself a wanker.
