Being The One They Know I Am
In my life there have been many times that I wallow in feelings including self-pity, anger, frustration and others. There are also thoughts of wanting to give up, but I also know that I can be a much better person because at times I have the power to be quite an astonishing person.

Wellness Wednesday: Knowing You Are Succeeding
Even if I am in a continued state of progress, it is at times to realize that I am in that state of making strides towards bettering myself. Even if my brain thinks things to the contrary, there is plenty of proof otherwise that outweighs the contrary.

Reflections: The Dearest Love is Hurt The Most
Something that I know that sometimes hits too close to home for me and is known among those closest to autistic people is the unique paradigm of how we treat those that love us the most. Despite all the love, it can be quite connective, yet it can be also the most taxing for the loved ones.

Adulting: Thinking Things Through
Many times, when I hear something that is unpleasant or is not something that I want to hear, don’t want, so forth. I may often immediately jump to conclusions thinking things that are not valid without considering all the reasons that something is the way that it is.

Accepting Challenging Situations
There are times in our lives that as much as we want to be able to change things, we just can’t do that. We must accept things even as they may be challenging for us and manage them the best as we can because we have to accept that we do not always have control of everything in our lives.

Wellness Wednesday: Being Proud of My Progress
Recently, it has seemed like life has breezed by for one reason or another. I am at a good point in my life But deep down it can be hard to accept that I have indeed made the progress that I have made and to for once be proud of myself for the achievements that I had made.

Reflections: Finding Happiness
Recently, in life finding happiness has come quite easily for one reason or another because I guess I have just chosen to radically accept what is in my life, even if it may be challenging due to things out of my control. I just make due and manage in the outside world because I feel safe in my inside world.

Adulting: If You Don’t Want To, Don’t
Part of being an adult is being able to make the choices that you want to in life. There are times that for one reason or another, you just do not want to do something. Accepting the fact that if you don’t want to do something as long as it is able to be avoided is indeed perfectly acceptable.

Where Do I Lie?
For many reasons in my life I have always wondered which of the disability communities I have lived in. Throughout life, I have been given a host of diagnoses alongside of being autistic that has placed me in the gamut of many services that for one reason or another confuses me greatly and questions my competence by others.
Wellness Wednesday: Progress Happens
Sometimes, it seems that there is a lot of work put in to do the right things, yet there seems to be no light at the end result. However, I am pleased that there is not only progress, but other changes happen to my body that result in me requiring less things in order to be well.

Reflections: Do I Know What I Want?
There are times I ponder on the reality of life. I often think that there is nothing beyond the here and now and while I am thankful for the things in life, I wonder in the later years, will I be more happier than I am now, or will it be the status quo.
https://dustinsdynastyusa.com/2023/08/01/reflections-do-i-know-what-i-want/
Adulting: Doing the Necessary
As an adult and moreso as an autistic adult, it can be hard to conceptualize reality and realize that there is a point that there are things that must be done in life, whether we like to do them or not, we can not avoid the things that sometimes produce anxiety and the unknown.

Functioning Independently
It can be hard to imagine that I have been living on my own for nearly 5 years now, but for the majority of the time I have been functioning well. Except for falling through the whirlwind of not taking care of my mental health, it is quite luckily that I had not gotten into trouble with the legal or other system. When well, I do quite a lot independently.

Wellness Wednesday: Keeping Strong
Sometimes in the grand scheme of things, it can be hard to keep strong and do what is needed in order to be well. It can be easy to fall into a trap of dysregulation and fall towards a path of destruction when you can not seem to get a grasp of the matters at hand.

Reflections: Fighting Isolation
Lately, I have conceptualized the fact that I struggle when I have too much free time on my hands and as such I retreat to bed and disregard the fact that I need to be moving about and doing the necessary things for the day so I do not ruminate on thoughts that deeply boggle my mind.
https://dustinsdynastyusa.com/2023/07/25/reflections-fighting-isolation/
Adulting: Caring About Others
Sometimes as an autistic person, we often center the world around us, thinking only about our needs. This can irritate others because we can forget or disregard their needs before and only think about ourselves without being considerate of others’ needs.
