Fast and Loose or Unprepared? We'll let you be the judge.

Fast and Loose or Unprepared? We'll let you be the judge.

A little casual convo between the boys after the post draft hype has died down.  A lot of surprising facts about age. Lots of talk about wide receivers who could be ready to break out. Want thoughts on that RB10-20 group? We got em.  Lots of good talk on some smaller details. You can use it for drumming up some post draft trades or for pre start up drafts. Enjoy.  As always get ahold of us @dynastymodepod on all social media and dynastymodepod@gmail.com

Super2QBFlex League Post Draft Shakedown

Super2QBFlex League Post Draft Shakedown

Top to bottom coverage of the 2021 NFL Draft for Dynasty Fantasy Football. We hit on all levels at all the positions. The audio ends a little abruptly but not worth redoing just know you don't miss anything. Also, a little bit of the wording in the outline we work from made a question asked a bit confusing. If you read all this it'll make sense when you hear it.  Hit us up at dynastymodepod@gmail.com and social media @dynastymodepod. We hope you're just as excited about the upcoming season as us!

Pulling Back the Curtain

Pulling Back the Curtain

This is a repeat of part of one of the podcasts from last season.  We were lucky enough to get Daniel Adler, current Minnesota Twins assistant general manager and former Jacksonville Jaguars Director of Football research, to talk with us.  He took questions about dynasty fantasy football and answered them with information on how he has operated with real professional sports teams. A few dated references in here but the meat and potatoes of it will always be relevant. Given that everyone is looking for an advantage to win their upcoming drafts it felt like a good time to share this again.  If you like it please like, subscribe, and interact with us on social media @dynastymodepod and dynastymodepod@gmail.com.  We will have our post-draft pod out to you Monday morning!

Pre Draft Rankings

Pre Draft Rankings

Welcome back! The first podcast is our predraft rankings.  Dave, Mike, and Kevin discuss all the major players in this year's 2021 NFL Draft.  We have a serious discussion where we are split three ways about who the 1.01 should be in non-Superflex leagues.  Let us help you make your choice between JaMarr Chase, Kyle Pitts, and Najee Harris. Trevor Lawrence is the clear-cut number one amongst us but then it gets a little hazy. Do we like the monster arm of Zach Wilson, the total package of Justin Fields, the game manager Mac Jones and the raw potential of Trey Lance? We talk about the big three running backs of Harris, Travis Etienne, and Javonte Williams.  After that, we discuss a few in the second tier.  We discuss the tight end a little more in-depth than just Kyle Pitts giving thoughts on players like Pat Freiermuth and Brevin Jordan. Lastly, we talk about another absolutely stacked wide receiver class.  Which Alabama star are we higher on, Devonta Smith or Jaylen Waddle? After the clear-cut top three, we love players like Rashod Bateman, Elijah Moore, and a few deep sleepers.  Let us know what you want to hear on the pod this upcoming season @dynastymodepod on social media and dynastymodepod@gmail.com.  Please like, subscribe, and tell a friend.

Full squad making hot takes

Full squad making hot takes

Congrats to everyone who has made their championship. For everyone else Dave, Kevin, and Mike are joined by NESN's Doug Kyed to begin looking at 2021 for you.  Is it way too early to do this? Absolutely. Does is stop us from making hot takes? NO WAY.

- Who are the multiple second year wide receivers we see making massive leaps?

- What incoming rookie do we project to land immediately in the top 3 at their position?

- What big time rookie is referred to as Chad Pennington 2.0?

- Two people predict a big time bounce back by someone who has probably burned you three times already.

- Using some clever math there is a running back who may get more targets than CMC did in 2019, one of us predicts him to be a top 5 RB next year.

- What QB solidifies himself as top 12 player because of being coached up?

- What can't miss WR prospect is labeled a bust?

This one is for the losers

This one is for the losers

This quick one is for everyone who didn't make it into the playoffs.  While your league mates are going for the championship it's time for some of you to be thinking of the 2022 championship.  We discuss tearing it all down, where to start the rebuild, the common mistakes people make, and more.  If you're deadset on having some name players on your team we discuss a few we like to build around.   If you're thinking about next year now you're already ahead of the rest of your league!

The dogs stayed surprisingly calm

The dogs stayed surprisingly calm

The dynasty spin on looking at your fantasy playoffs. Dave plays through the pain of Covid-19 to discuss the next three weeks of the season with Mike.  We discuss some players who you may be considering for your starting line ups and whether or not we like them for the playoffs and the long term.  This was recorded before Christian McCaffrey was all but ruled out for Week 14 otherwise we would have discussed Mike Davis.  I'll say here that I feel ok about flexing Mike Davis but only ok.  If you're wondering to ride the wave of Kirk Cousins, Jarvis Landry or if Joe Burrow's injury makes us like Tyler Boyd less you'll find it out here.  Use these last 3 weeks to audition players for hold and sell for next season too.  As always we'd love to hear from you at dynastymodepod@gmail.com or @dynastymodepod on twitter or Instagram.

Where do you stand on Donovan People-Jones?

Where do you stand on Donovan People-Jones?

For some of our listeners it's sadly time to look into the future. We give you a look into the Dynasty Mode crystal ball by telling you who the most overrated and underrated player on every team is. This way you can under pay for great talent and sell overrated players for the big bucks.  When you win next year we'll set up a patron for you to give us some of your winnings. Don't be so sad about Cam Akers and KeShawn Vaughn

Don't be so sad about Cam Akers and KeShawn Vaughn

Welcome back to a Saturday drop of Dynasty Mode.  It's a little late but the information is intended to be evergreen.  We kick the pod off with a talk of where we'd love to see some players get traded this week before the trade deadline.  We find new homes for some pretty primo players and set them up in positions to thrive! Their GMs probably won't but this is a fun exercise.

After seeing most of these guys in about six games there's a large enough sample size to go back and do the first 20 picks of the 2020 dynasty fantasy football draft over again.   We discuss who should be the top pick overall in hindsight.  Are the true elite top 3 RBs still there? Where would we draft James Robinson and Antonio Gibson with 20/20 hindsight?  Henry Ruggs III and Jerry Jeudy went before CeeDee Lamb in the real draft, does that happen ever again in any format? Who has surpassed them as well.  We have a couple of undrafted rookies that make our top 20.  We also discuss the difference between players who have draft capital invested in them and UDFAs and what that means for their long term success in the league.  We also discuss players Jalen Reagor, Michael Pittman, and Tua Tagovailoa and how their lack of playing time affects their inclusion in this draft. We have some lengthier discussions about players like Jerry Jeudy, Cam Akers and KeShawn Vaughn and their long term outlook after being disappointing in the first six games of their careers.  A great listen for the weekend as you start trying to target youngsters before your fantasy trade deadline. As always find us on social media @dynastymodepod and email us at dynastymodepod@gmail.com!

DK CD AJ NUMBER 1

DK CD AJ NUMBER 1

Welcome back! We finish up our long term rankings with wide receivers. The top 15-17 are pretty unanimous but rounding it out isn’t quite as easy.  Kevin, Dave, and Mike are all over the place on guys like Will Fuller, CeeDee Lamb, Justin Jefferson, Robby Anderson, and Jamison Crowder.  After we discuss the now we get into the future.  Who would be the one wide receiver Dave or Mike build a team around? We discuss who we see fall out of the top 20 next year.  How many more years of top level returns do Julio Jones, Mike Evans, Amari Cooper, and others have? Who is showing enough this year to think they are the top 20 guys next year?  We discuss if players like Laviska Shenault, Deebo Samuel, Tee Higgins, Brandon Aiyuk, DJ Chark, and Marquise Brown make it into the top 20 in the next 5 years.  Lastly, we discuss if players like Jarvis Landry, JuJu Smith-Schuster, and DJ Moore crack the top 20 at any point. Its really all about 9-15

Its really all about 9-15

Dave and Mike bring you the quarterback rankings this week.  Before we get into that we discuss the big news of the moment and its impact on dynasty managers. Dak Prescott had a gruesome injury that makes Andy Dalton relevant again.  We discuss just how relevant and effective he will be. The other big news was the release of LeVeon Bell.  It’s totally possible by the time you’re hearing this that he has landed in his new home.  We discuss where we like him, where we don’t, places not rumored but we like and it segways into a reminder that Antonio Brown is getting closer to back in the league.  Then we discuss the now, short and long term future of the quarterback position. Is there anything that can move us off Patrick Mahomes at any point minus a massive injury? NO! That being said there is incredibly young depth at the position with plenty ready to join them. Who rounds out the top ten this year? We discuss Baker Mayfield, Matt Ryan, Tom Brady, and a couple others who snuck in. We talk about the potential for next year when Tua Tagovailoa, Joe Burrow, and Justin Herbert all have a year under our belts.  It’s hard to predict five years down the road but we do our best.  One of us is skeptical of Lamar Jackson in five years. DeShaun Watson is another one. Lastly, we decide to close it out with a real-time discussion on a trade.  Trading is one of the most fun, important and difficult things to pull off in dynasty but since Dave and Mike had an offer on the table they decided to discuss it.  They talked to the logistics and their thought processes for it.

How do you even rank James Robinson?

How do you even rank James Robinson?

The season is a quarter done so that's enough information to project out for three years! We told you last week we would be ranking the running backs and we didn't lie.  We lead out discussing the firing of Bill O' Brien and what it means for the dynasty community.  We talk about the boom of Odell Beckham Jr. and Todd Gurley. Mike Davis has done an outstanding job filling in for Christian McCaffrey.  We discuss the idea that Davis could eat into the work of CMC moving forward. Before we get into the running back discussion we talk about the QB situation for the Washington Football Team.  The meat and potatoes of it is who are the top ten running backs this year, next year and three years for now. It ends up being a Miles Sanders, Joe Mixon and rookie running back heavy talk.  We foresaw the demise of Carson Wentz so will we be right about the rise of James Robinson.

Winless, Undefeated and Fugazi

Winless, Undefeated and Fugazi

Welcome back, everyone.  This week we discuss the teams who are winless and undefeated.  You don't go three weeks undefeated without some players overachieving. Conversely, you aren't winless unless players are underachieving.  Before we get into that we discuss just how old players like Tom Brady, Drew Brees and Phillip Rivers are. We follow that up with a talk on whether or not quarterbacks should be valued even more regardless of format.  We then breakdown all your fantasy options on the aforementioned winless and undefeated teams.  Oh and when the audio poops out there's new music for it. We close it out with a little waiver wire talk.  If any of this sounds good make sure to follow us on social media @dynastymodpod or email us at dynastymodepod@gmail.com.

Bandaids for your bullet wounds

Bandaids for your bullet wounds

Did you survive the blood bath that was week 2 of the NFL season? Does the rest of your season have you depressed? Well grab a glass of water unlike Mike before recording this and have a listen.  If you like our intro you get to hear it twice in this episode! Before we get into how to address injuries occurred during this week we talk about the impressive beginnings to the careers of Joe Burrow and Justin Herbert.  We walk back our Browns takes for the time being but feel like we are beginning to see more clarity in the situation.  We talk how frustrating the bridge from Mark Ingram to JK Dobbins is proving to be for owners.  Then we talk about how you can potentially save your season by going over a myriad of potential running back options. We first plant the seed for something later on where we discuss how it may be time to pivot away from Saquon Barkley. Whether you want to acquire a proven caliber guy like Austin Ekeler, a risky upstart in James Robinson or hope things fall into place correctly for someone like Ito Smith or Brian Hill we discuss how and why we think they can be had. Finally we close it out with some waiver wire chatter.  Hopefully you hear this in time for those Thursday morning waiver wire acquisitions.  We'd love it if you liked and subscribed or interacted with us on social media @dynastymodepod on Twitter or Instagram or email us at dynastymodepod@gmail.com

Somehow Lamar Jackson might have got better

Somehow Lamar Jackson might have got better

Week 1 has come to an end and we do our best to talk the long game. We start off with a waiver wire pick available in 99.9% of ESPN leagues. If it was too late for your waiver wire we have way more good information for you.  We follow up on last week's talk on air yards.  Was Mike's prophecy that they would be down true? We talk about the air yards for players like Lamar Jackson, Kyler Murray, Kirk Cousins, Patrick Mahomes, and Russell Wilson. The surprising start of the Jacksonville Jaguars and what it could mean long term for fantasy managers.  We discuss if a Gardner Minshew, DJ Chark, Lavishka Shenault, and James Robinson core is a legitimate foundation. One of us is concerned about Austin Ekeler not being involved in the pass game. If Tyrod Taylor loses the job and Justin Herbert takes over the concern goes away some but Joshua Kelley proved himself worthy of playing time.  We discuss the train wreck the New York Jets are, why they should fire Adam Gase yesterday and how even when they do things we like they screw them up. Those were all the quick hits. We went into greater depth on the long term picture of Cam Newton and the new-look New England Patriots offense. We talk about what it projects for in the future, what it looks like against the rest of their schedule, and how soon he will need to see if his arm is back. We discuss the disgusting showing from the Cleveland Browns.  We think Baker Mayfield will be done in Cleveland soon but project a potentially rosy future for him.  The wide receiver group might not be what we thought it was going to be despite Jarvis Landry and Odell Beckham Jr. Lastly we discuss how much we love the future of the Pittsburgh Steelers. Ben Roethlisberger showed enough to get excited about the pass catchers. JuJu Smith-Schuster looked like the JuJu of old but with a new Antonio Brown like weapon in Diontae Johnson.  The improved James Washington provided quality on his targets and Chase Claypool looked NFL ready including making the hardest catch of the week. We close it out with a buy and sell that we think you can get good value on today and be ahead of your league.

Mickey Loomis listened last week, did you?

Mickey Loomis listened last week, did you?

We can’t help but assume that NFL GMs tuned into last week’s pod to hear Daniel talk about trading cap space for picks! If you missed that last week don't miss this week. The season starts today. We go over a few last things. Is it James Robinson SZN? We talk about things were excited about. We love the potential of Drew Lock and a potentially high powered Broncos offense. Cam Newton might be Josh McDaniel’s ideal quarterback and that excites us. We are not excited about the New York Jets and wonder if the end off dynasty relevance for Sam Darnold is a month away. After seeing Josh Rosen and Marcus Mariotta shipped out do Baker Mayfield owners need to move on now or ride him out? Jamal Adams in regular redrafts isn’t a needle mover.  In dynasty, he gets to match up with top-notch talent twice a year. We discuss whether this is undervalued. The names Justin Fields and Trevor Lawrence are creeping into this pod more and more. Mike feels like the NFL draft is becoming more like the NBA draft, big-time raw talent being drafted in big spots. Do we see more Stefan Diggs style trades happening in the future? We talk big picture most of the time but if you’re a Zack Moss owner is he already a week one start? We can’t help but assume that NFL GMs tuned into last week’s pod to hear Daniel talk about trading cap space for picks!

The Deion Sanders of Executives

The Deion Sanders of Executives

A day late but certainly not a buck short. Dave and Mike talk about the Leonard Fournette news and what it means for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers backfield.  You'll hear it plenty on other podcasts but they aren't going into the long term of Ronald Jones and Ke'Shawn Vaughn like we do. After that, we get to the meat of the podcast, an interview with Daniel Adler. Daniel is the assistant general manager of the Minnesota Twins and previously the Jacksonville Jaguars Director of Football Research. We discuss how good are people who get paid to do this as a job are at managing fantasy teams.  Does he set out to find the data that proves his point or disproves his point? How often does he go with his gut if it says otherwise? When building a team do you want the best player or the best deal? Is a pick more valuable than a player? In a snake is it preferable to get the last guy in a tier to come back around earlier? If a prospect struggles but finally shows flashes, is it luck or potential realized? Why can some guys wash a stink off themselves so easily and others can't? If you ever wanted to hear someone whos built a real team talk about building a fantasy team this is the place.

AFC and NFC Preview with Henry?

AFC and NFC Preview with Henry?

Welcome back to the last of the Dynasty Mode divisional breakdowns.  We saved the best for last, the AFC/NFC West, where so many of the fantasy powerhouse players are.  Dave and Mike might be joined by Henry McKenna of USA Today during this episode.  Listen to see if we ever link up.  We talk about the Chargers QB room and our thoughts on Tyrod Taylor and Justin Herbert. We make the decision between Keenan Allen or Mike Williams. Lastly, we talk about the value of Austin Ekler. The Cheifs were the champs last year. Their players won fantasy championships for people too.  We talk about what Clyde Edwards-Helaire’s rookie season could look like.  What role does second-year player Mecole Hardman play for this team? In 2020 is Travis Kelce a buy or sell if you’re a middle of the road team? Can anything stop Patrick Mahomes besides injury? We go to the much fantasy hyped Arizona Cardinals.  We talk the big price tag for Kyler Murray. We talk about what De’Andre Hopkins showing up in town means for him and Christian Kirk. We discuss Kenyan Drake and the threat Chase Edmunds may or may not pose. We go over to the other LA team and talk about the Rams. We expect a bounce back from Jared Goff but what exactly does that mean? Cam Akers is a hot rookie prospect, is it because of his talent, opportunity or some of both? Is Tyler Higbee for real? Does Gerald Everett eat into his touches? Lastly, we talk about long term Cooper Kupp prospects and whether we like Robert Woods more. It’s going to take a while to call them the Las Vegas Raiders.  Is Derek Carr the starter there all year? Josh Jacobs looks to become a big-time PPR back this year. What do we think that means? Are we ready for Darren Waller to be a consistent top performer at the tight end position? Who are you more excited for, Henry Ruggs III or Bryan Edwards? The Broncos have set up Drew Lock to succeed. What does the addition of Jerry Jeudy mean for Courtland Sutton? We talk do we want any of the backfield of Melvin Gordon III and Phillip Lindsay? Does Noah Fant show more of what he showed at the end of the season? A little KJ Hamler talk, anything more than a boom or bust guy? We go to the PNW and talk Seahawks. Are we going to see Russell Wilson cook? We play pick-em with Tyler Lockett and DK Metcalf? Or do we think they’re potentially both top 12 WR? The backfield is a mess now and into the future with Chris Carson, Rashaad Penny, and Carlos Hyde.  Will Dissly was off to a monster start before his injury last season. The team brought in veteran Greg Olsen to offset injury concerns. What does this mean for owners of both players? We close this out with the runners up, the 49ers. Deebo Samuel’s injury this offseason has been a lot of the talk with the 49ers. We talk about how much it scares us. We discuss what if any impact Jimmy Garappolo has for teams who roster him? We talk about whether we have confidence in Raheem Mostert or the scheme Kyle Shanahan has for his running backs.  We close it out talking about the tight end room addition of Jordan Reed and if it means anything with George Kittle. Once we do all of those things, we have finished up our divisional previews. Thanks as always for reading and listening. Like and subscribe, tell a friend. AFC and NFC South Preview with DK

AFC and NFC South Preview with DK

Did you think it was DK Metcalf? Why would he preview the south? DK is NESN's Doug Kyed filling in for Kevin as he is off getting married again.  Dynasty Mode does not disappoint this week giving you all the dynasty fantasy football information you could want going forward. Doug gives you all the info you could want to hear about what's happening in Patriots training camp and some of it probably goes for all of the training camps.  Updates on the highly talked about Damien Harris, Devin Asiasi, and Jeff Thomas. We then hit the team previews.  We could have talked about Taysom Hill for an hour but we didn't.  We discuss volume and Michael Thomas.  Long term projections for Jameis Winston and Alvin Kamara.  Who are we higher on, Chris Godwin or Mike Evans? We discuss the backfield of Ronald Jones, Ke' Shawn Vaughn, LeSean McCoy, and a few others.  What's left in the tank for Tom Brady and Rob Gronkowski? Can OJ Howard become a disciple of Gronk? Gun to your head who do you pick, Curtis Samuel or Robby Anderson? Can Christian McCaffrey possibly live up to his price? Does the DJ Moore touchdown drought end this year? We say Ian Thomas a couple times! Big, big probably too big talk on Matt Ryan. What is the season's outcome for the duo of Julio Jones and Calvin Ridley?  Is Hayden Hurst going to thrive? What do we think about Todd Gurley's upcoming season? It's much less than when the pod started.  We mention Russel Gage, why not? Don't worry we talk AFC too.  What will the Jaguars do with Leonard Fournette? Should you buy DJ Chark now because he might have a better quarterback starting next year? What is Gardner Minshew's long term projection? Tyler Eifert is on this team, when does he get hurt? We give our thoughts on a full season of Ryan Tannehill in Tennessee. Dave seems to think Derrick Henry is indestructible. Doug and Mike not so much.  Will AJ Brown struggle with becoming an elite WR? Does Corey Davis do better now that he is not expected to be the top passing option? Can't talk about the Titans without hopping on the Jonnu Smith hype train. We lead off some Texans talk with their glass wide receiver group of Will Fuller and Brandin Cooks. Does that make Randall Cobb a great buy-low guy? David Johnson is much maligned but Mike seems to think highly of him still. Hear why. DeShaun Watson has some questions marks and we talk about them.  We talk about how likely it is for Phillip Rivers to get Covid-19 because he has so many freakin kids. We discuss the crowded backfield situation of Jonathan Taylor and Marlon Mack. We look at who could break out in the young receiving group of Michael Pittman Jr. and Parris Campbell. Mike says Jack Doyle's name but we don't really get into him but if you've read this far you deserve to know I think he is sneaky good.  We talk some TY Hilton and discuss could Phillip Rivers break into the top 10.  The audio at the end of the pod got a little funky so it just sorta ends.  It's good to be left wanting more.

AFC and NFC North Preview with US

AFC and NFC North Preview with US

Just Dave and Mike this week. We start out with a talk on the recent news of Derrius Guice and Lamar Miller. Then we get into the divisions. What's going on with the Pittsburgh Steelers? What does Roethlisberger have left in the tank? Could James Conner lose his job? Is there an odd man out amongst Chase Claypool, James Washington, and Diontae Johnson? The Baltimore Ravens were premier contributors last year, what's the long term outlook? Should you consider carrying Robert Griffin III if you have Lamar Jackson? How does J.K. Dobbins take Mark Ingram's job? Where does Mark Andrews rank amongst tight ends? Is there a nightmare situation for this team? The Cleveland Browns were a disappointment last year, will they do more of the same for owners this year? Was last year closer to Baker Mayfield's floor or ceiling? Are Kareem Hunt and Nick Chubb both starters? Given the price would we suggest investing in Odell Beckham Jr.? How do we feel about new edition Austin Hooper? Are we scared of Jarvis Landry's hip injury? The Cincinnati Bengals should improve this year, who gets the fantasy points from here on out? Listen to the insane prediction Dave has for Joe Burrow. If you have A.J. Green are you rostering him forever at this point? Is Tyler Boyd going to flourish filling the same role Justin Jefferson did for Burrow? Tee Higgins or John Ross? We gotta talk Joe Mixon if we're talking Bengals. The Detroit Lions are a very interesting team we take a look at. Is there more of the Matthew Stafford we saw before his injury? Does Kenny Golladay become a legit WR1? Is the dynasty community sleeping on DeAndre Swift? When does T.J. Hockenson break out? Marvin Jones Jr. is a steal! We talk about the Green Bay Packers and if we're into Aaron Rodgers and his spite. We saw what Aaron Jones could do last year. No one cares or respects it. Maybe we care about A.J. Dillon? Is Jace Sternberger the breakout tight end this year? Is Allen Lazard the WR2 here or is it someone else? The Minnesota Vikings could win the division. Will any of the players be a league winner for you? Will anyone ever talk about anything other than Kirk Cousin's bank account? Would we rather buy Dalvin Cook or Alexander Mattison? Should Irv Smith be in the same grouping as Hockenson and Noah Fant? What is Adam Theilen going to look like without Stefan Diggs? We wrap it up with the Chicago Bears. Is there really a competition between Nick Foles and Mitch Trubisky? How high is Mike on Allen Robinson? We talk about David Montgomery and his presumed volume. We discuss the 8 tight ends on the roster. Mostly Jimmy Graham and Cole Kmet but we sneak WR Ahmed Wagner into the conversation. Lastly big time Tarik Cohen. Way too much Tarik Cohen talk. As always please interact with us at @dynastymodepod on Instagram and Twitter. Email us at dynastymodepod@gmail.com. Like. subscribe, recommend and most importantly enjoy the pod!

AFC and NFC East Preview with Doug Kyed

AFC and NFC East Preview with Doug Kyed

NESN's Patriots beat reporter and all-around knowledgeable guy Doug Kyed joins us to talk about the dynasty implications for players on these teams top to bottom. He was a great guest to have because 3 of the 8 coaches here have ties to the Patriots. We talk about Tua Tagovailoa and the direction the Dolphins are taking. We discuss whether Devante Parker or Preston Williams are legit. We try to figure out their backfield of Matt Breida and Jordan Howard. Doug reminds us that Josh Allen could be terrible this year even if they did acquire Stefon Diggs. Mike gets very sad about the backfield of Devin Singletary and Zack Moss. Last week Mike let his feelings known about Carson Wentz. Does he feel any better about Miles Sanders, Zach Ertz of Jalen Reagor? Doug and Mike reminisce about eating at a restaurant with Giants coach Joe Judge. Dave asks will the Giants settle for Eli Manning level of play out of Daniel Jones? Did you know the Giants have the fastest wide receiver group of Golden Tate, Sterling Shepard, and Darius Slayton? You do now but does it mean anything? Will Evan Engram stay healthy this year and finally produce? Can't talk Giants without mentioning Saquon Barkley. Doug reminds us of first-round bust Corey Coleman's existence. We go to the other locker room in MetLife to talk about the Jets. Is this the year of Sam Darnold? What does the future hold for Leveon Bell? Denzel Mims seems like he could be the guy for Darnold. Mike reminds the world how bad a coach Adam Gase is before moving onto the Cowboys. How good is Dak Prescott? How long will Ezekiel Elliot? Amari Cooper, Michael Gallup, and CeeDee Lamb the best receiver group in the league? We talk about the Washington Football Team and its young stars Dwayne Haskins, Antonio Gibson, Derius Guice, Terry McLaurin. We mention old star Adrian Peterson and Doug reminds us of injured potential star Bryce Love. We wrap it up with Doug's wheelhouse, the New England Patriots. He gives his insight on the long and short term implications of Cam Newton. We talk about now former fantasy darling Jarett Stidham. We discuss the confusing backfield of Sony Michel, Damien Harris and Rex Burkhead. Who is Cam throwing to? Julien Edelman? Mohammed Sanu? N'Keal Harry? Someone else. If you're holding players in this division or targeting them we got all the information you could want. 🚨 Mailbag 🚨

🚨 Mailbag 🚨

We had a far more successful first week than we could have ever expected. We received enough feedback/questions that we didn't want to leave people hanging so here it is the first mailbag. Since this was unexpected we only have Dave and Mike present but that didn't stop Kevin's opinions from making their way into the pod. We first start off talking Antonio Brown. Dave questions whether we'll even see him in the league but Mike sees a few options available to him. We fall that up talking about Derrius Guice. There wasn't much reason to talk about him other than the email we received about him was funny. A kind reddit user asked us for thoughts on his team. We discuss is there enough Fitzmagic in Ryan Fitzpatrick to be a QB2 in a Superflex league, how you have to have Robert Griffin III as a handcuff if you're an Lamar Jackson owner, a little talk about Austin Ekeler and a promising tight end grouping of Darren Waller, Tyler Higbee and Chris Herndon. We were asked on our thoughts on the Zero RB strategy and we give them. Is it possible to start a dynasty franchise with players like David Johnson, Leveon Bell, Ronald Jones and other players of that quality at RB1? We talk about some players no longer with the NFL but how fun it was to own Alfred Morris and Marshawn Lynch at one point. We have a good chat about the age old question of Travis Kelce or George Kittle? Find out what Alex Smith, Marcus Mariotta and a few rookie wide receivers have in common. If you like what you heard please ask more questions! Leave them in the reviews right after you subscribe and give us five stars. If that's not your style you can reach out to us on Twitter and Instagram @dynastymodepod or email us at dynastymodepod@gmail.com . As always look at our written pieces over at dynastymodepod.com . Lastly and most importantly enjoy!

Rookie Drafts

Rookie Drafts

Kevin, Dave, and Mike with the last of their 3 part roll out on why Dynasty Fantasy Football and how to get started.  Whether you are in a start-up or a league that hasn't drafted rookies yet this is the podcast to listen to. We start talking about the heavy hitters.  You want the information on the elites like Clyde Edwards-Helaire, Jonathan Taylor, Joe Burrow, Tua Tagovailoa, Jerry Jeudy, and CeeDee Lamb we have it. We have a little fun with a game where Mike reads late-round and UDFA scouting reports and Kevin and Dave weigh in on whether they're interested. Does Kevin want Donovan Peoples-Jones? Does Dave want JaMycal Hasty? Why is Tommy Stevens interesting even if you won't start him?  We talk about Cam Akers but not enough. Mike all of a sudden loves Henry Ruggs III. We all are blown away by a crazy stat line from Lynn Bowden Jr. Do you want talk about second-round wide receivers? We got plenty of Justin Jefferson, Jalen Reagor, Michael Pittman, Brandon Aiyuk, Denzel Mims, Tee Higgins, Chase Claypool talk. That seems like a lot of rookies but we talk about even more! Please interact with us on Twitter and Instagram at @dynastymodepod and email us at dynastymodepod@gmail.com.  It would mean the world to us if you could like, subscribe, tell a friend, and most importantly enjoy the podcast! Check out some writing over at dynastymodepod.com while you're at it!

Start Up Drafts

Start Up Drafts

Kevin, Dave, and Mike do their best to try and give you as much information possible in about an hour on a startup draft.  We look at players we expect to greatly outperform their current ADP. Last year it was Aaron Jones, Derrick Henry, Breshard Perriman, Miles Sanders, DJ Chark, Lamar Jackson and a whole bunch more.  This year could it be a rookie stand out RB like Jonathan Taylor or Clyde Edwards-Helaire? Is it a wide receiver like Preston Williams? Does one of last year's rookie tight ends Noah Fant or T.J. Hockenson become this year's Darren Waller or Mark Andrews?   We do a whole bunch of  "would you rather?".  Some of them are position based like Dak Prescott, Kyler Murray, or DeShaun Watson. Others include second year running backs Devin Singletary, David Montgomery and Damien Harris.  We talk about high draft capital swings and misses like Corey Davis, Sammy Watkins, and Mike Williams? Dave even slips Preston Williams into that convo.  Then throughout that all we share our most overvalued and undervalued players for a start up. Carson Wentz, Nick Chubb, Marquise Brown, Cooper Kupp, Kenyan Drake, and Mark Andrews are all one or the other!  If you are looking for some quick hits of advice before entering a start up this is the podcast to listen to. If you think we don't talk about rookies like Jerry Jeudy, Joe Burrow and Cam Akers enough it's because we'll talk about them on the next pod, all rookies! Also if you're Kevin you can't talk about Cam Akers enough.  Please like, subscribe, tell a friend and most importantly just enjoy the podcast.  We can be reached at @dynastymodepod on Twitter and Instagram.  We would love to hear from you via email too at dynastymodepod@gmail.com.  Lastly occasionally we have a little bit of writing at dynastymodepod.com. Thanks

Why Dynasty Fantasy Football?

Why Dynasty Fantasy Football?

Join Mike, Kevin, and Dave as they tell you why now is the time to start your dynasty fantasy football league. They go over all the reasons why it is superior to your standard redraft leagues and all the fun you can have.  After that, they share some general insights to start building a team. Should you be investing in top flight wide receivers like Michael Thomas, Tyreek Hill, and DeAndre Hopkins? Should you be pairing young talent like Chris Godwin with his very old counterpart Tom Brady? Or should you go Brady and Julio? Mahomes and Godwin? Talking about Mahomes, should you break the bank for someone like him or Lamar Jackson or is it better to try and get someone like Josh Allen at a lesser price? You can't talk strategy without tackling the tight end position. Always scarce is it worth it to break the bank for George Kittle or Travis Kelce? If you want nothing to do with Christian McCaffrey or Saquon Barkley in an auction draft should you even place a bid? When constructing your team do you want your last roster spots going to someone like Devonta Freeman or Josh Gordon or who cares its the bottom of your roster? Is there value in rostering high-end handcuffs like Tony Pollard, Chase Edmunds and Alexander Mattison if you don't own the player they're the handcuff for?   This is the first podcast of a three-part series to help you start your league and dominate it.  All information gained here can be used with the follow up start up draft episode and the rookies episode.  Make sure to like, subscribe and tell a friend.  Find us on social media @dynastymodepod, email us at dynastymodepod@gmail.com and visit our site, dynastymodepod.com.
