18 - Arpitan - A strategy to help the language survive?

18 - Arpitan - A strategy to help the language survive?

Arpitan, Francoprovençal, Patois, are the names of a language spoken all around Mont Blanc in three countries and only 'discovered' in 1874 by a linguist called Ascoli. Between French and Occitan (south of France), it is currently fighting for survival and I am supporting that mother-tongue. - Just answering a question by @omaniblog Paul O'Mahony, from Ireland, about my strategy to help the language. It gave me the opportunity to expand on the topic. Topics you relate to with strong emotions are difficult to deal with perfunctorily... I consequently beg your pardon for the long-winded explanations. If you are not interested in the story of language disappearance, don't even dream of reaching the end of this podcast!
